Hey everyone!!! Sorry for the late update!!! I was caught up in a whole lot of work so as a treat i updated 3 chapters at once!!!!! But still I hope you like it!!!!

IMPORTANT: I am not using the precap!! Sorry but I thought of a better way to move the plot forward so we are NOT going with the precap that was listed! Of course the story IS gonna go with the title but in a different way.

Chapter 3

Arnav and Khushi walked back to the cafeteria and had lunch. They met Payal and Akash who still didn't notice that they left them a while ago. Payal and Akash walked ahead, towards the dormitories whereas Khusi and Arnav were still a little bit behind. They were laughing at how Payal and Akash were attempting to flirt with each other.

"Its hysterical isn't it?" Khushi asked.

"I know right." Arnav said.

"I swear the word 'love' is probably the most misused word today. Love is just a state of the mind. OMG! You're so sweet, I love you! *10 Seconds Later* *Slap* I always hated you." Khushi joked as she imitated today's version of love.

"What are your views on 'love'" Arnav asked Khushi curiously.

"Well, I don't really think there is a romantic love but there is that affectionate love that you feel for a dear one. For example the way I love my dad."

"So then how do you have a boyfriend?" Arnav asked taking a sip from his water bottle.

"Well, you see, my dad's dream is to see me happy and settled and because of my views on this topic, I have a secret notebook. It will fall in love for me."

Arnav started laughing and almost choked on the water.

"You, have got to be kidding me." He said with his face all red from laughing.

"Shut up, do you want to see it or not?"

"Of course, I wouldn't pass up a chance like that." Arnav said.

~~~They got to Khushi's dorm~~~

The paint was well dried now. Khushi with Arnav started putting finishing touches on the room and wola! It looked magnificent. Except for this one centerpiece which they couldn't decide where to put.

"So, here is the big moment. I present to you with 'the notebook'." Khushi said.

Arnav looked at it. It was cute. A brown leather book with filled with different handwritings. He doubted that one person wrote this.

Khushi noticed his doubtful face and said, "I've added on to this book for a very long time."

Arnav opened it and read the first page he started laughing.

"Quality # 1. His name should start with a 'K'. # 27 He should buy me a bouquet of blue lilies once every week? Khushi what the heck?" He said.

"I was 13 when I started writing this." She said crossing her arms.

"It's hard to believe that men like these actually exist." He said flipping through the pages.

"Enough. " Khushi said pulling the book out of his hands. Arnav got up and started to leave when he saw a bouquet of blue lilies on Khushi's side table.

"Bechara." Arnav said looking at Khushi.

"Shut up." Khushi said laughing and pushing him out. She closed the door. She was happy she found a 'guy friend' that she can talk to. She went to bed with a smile on her face and a weird feeling.

~~~~~Next Morning~~~~~~~~~~~ First Official Day of Med. School~~~~~~~~~~~~

Khushi went to her first 3 classes, 2 of which she shared with Arnav. Everyone from the college was shocked to see Arnav talking and laughing especially with a girl!! Khushi made new friends as well.

Amongst the group of friends she made, there was a girl named Lavanya. She was really sweet and always happy.

"Khushi? Um, I was wondering if you want to go for some sushi tonight?" Lavanya asked.

"Sure."

***At the sushi bar***

"So how do you like the school so far?"

"It's nice, it's also very peaceful. It has such an amazing music room."

"How do you know about it?"

"Arnav showed me it."

The piece of sushi fell from La's mouth. "What? HE TALKS?"

"Haha, you should see the look on your face. Anyways why are you so shocked?"

"Arnav Singh Raizada is like the smartest kid on campus and the biggest introvert."

"I see." Khushi said.

"We are very much alike." Khushi said. "Except for the introvert part."

"The guy is nice, but he seems very confused. Akash told me that he doesn't know what he wants from life. If you look at him from far away, you see perfect happy A+ student but if you look closely you can see a young, naive, boy who is confused."

***Quality 19- He should be very well settled and have his life planned out. I want someone who can guide me, not someone who I have to guide.***

"Well then, I think we should get going. We have Professor Renzio's class first thing tomorrow morning."

"Absolutely." La said getting up. They paid the bill and left.

Chapter 3

Next day:

"Ok, so now that I have explained the project are there any questions."

"No? No questions? Ok then there are 10 more minutes left of class, you are free to do whatever you wish to."

Khushi went to lab to start her project.

"So your starting your project too?"

"Yeah, if we have time might as well use it wisely."

"You're a smart girl."

"Yes, yes I am."

"If we continue at this rate we'll be done in 3 days. I probably will be done faster, you know experience and all. But anyways the project is due in like a week so we'll have a bunch of free time." Khushi wanted to correct him by saying that she could finish it just as fast as he could but decided not to.

It was 6 pm. Arnav and Khushi had gone through all their classes and went back to the lab. Both finished.

"Wow Ms. Gupta. You finished at the rate of a 3rd year."

"Advice for you--don't ever underestimate me." Khushi said as she left with a smile.

Arnav caught up with her.

"Hey! Wait up! Why don't I drop you?"

"Arnav our dormitories are a walking distance from here."

"But still."

"Fine."

6 days later.

Khushi was in the lab doing her experiment one last time. She was feeling really sick.

"Khushi, come on now, you're feeling sick, baccha." Professor Malik called out.

"But sir, I have a project due in 2 days. I can't get sick."

"Who is this project for?"

"Professor Renzio"

"Oh you don't worry, I'll take care of it. You go home and rest."

"Thank you sir."

At Khushi's dorm:

"KHUSHI!" Arnav came in. He stormed through the room.

"what?"

"Your such a b*tch! You knew my project was better than yours so you dropped my papers in acidic water." He said as he held up the remains of his project.

"I didn't do that." Khushi protested

"Oh really, because you were the only one who was in the lab today."

"Arnav,"

"Don't talk to me. I can't believe you would stoop so low. I should've known better. And to think I tried being friends with you. You were just my friend because I was the class-topper. I should've stayed anti-social, because if a stranger hurts you it doesn't hurt that bad but when a friend hurts you it burns like fire. Good bye Miss. Gupta."

Khushi was mad. She wasn't crying but she was hurt. Payal and Akash who were coming back from their date saw this. Khushi got up and started to head out.

"Khushi you have a fever, where are you going."

Khushi just left without answering. Payal assumed she went to room 112. (Akash and Arnav's room)

Payal finally got annoyed since Khushi did not come back. She stomped up to Akash's room and was surprised to see Khushi not there.

"Where could Khushi be?" Akash asked.

"I don't know but I'm worried. I have to find her." Payal replied. Arnav heard this. He was mad but felt an odd sense of concern but he didn't let that overtake him. He was going to be the ASR he was good at. Not the new version that somehow sprung up a couple days ago.

"She probably just went out with Karan. I mean she's finished and sabotaged other people's projects so she has all the time in the world."

"Arnav! Do you even know that she is si.." *beep beep* Payal looked at her phone. *beep beep* One New Msg.

Payal I'm fine. I just left the place. Be back in like 10 minutes. Don't worry. ~Khushi

"Thank god." Payal exclaimed.

Chapter 4

"Khushi where were you? "

"I was in the lab and the library."

"Why? You d already finished your project."

"To do this." Khushi said handing Payal a lab report.

"What? You were sick and you still went to finish Arnav's lab report?"

"Yeah."

"Khushi, I will never be able to understand you. Now go to sleep. You temperature rose so much. Especially since you walked there and back."

"Payal, I'm a doctor in training. I know how to take care of myself." Khushi said as she got into her bed and fell asleep.

Next Morning: Arnav found a project outside his dorm.

"I searched for your project in our school's media file cause it has a copy of everything you do weather you save it or not. It was hard convincing the librarian but eventually she let me. Your well wisher."

Arnav was happy. He presented his project and got the highest grade in the class. He went into Khushi's room and boasted. He told her that despite her dirty efforts there were still good people in this world. He left. He yelled at Khushi a lot. Payal had enough she called Akash and told him the situation and the truth. Akash was very furious with his friend's behavior.

"Arnav!" Akash said loudly entering his dorm.

"Yeah?" asked Arnav in a very confused tone.

"What was the need to speak to Khushi like that?" He demanded

"Oh so she complaining about me to people. Well you don't know what she did! She purposely poured acid water on my project thus ruining it!"

"No she didn't. Come with me!" Akash said dragging him into his car.

"What the?"

"Shut up Arnav." Akash said.

He took Arnav to the room with all the surveillance cameras and showed him yesterday's tape.

Arnav was beyond shocked. He immediately felt a sense of guilt rushing towards him. It was actually Arnav's fault his paper got destroyed. Akash then fast forwarded to the part where Khushi comes, while she is sick and fixes his project. Then he turns on the library's camera and shows him how Khushi struggled to get the librarian to access the media file and then she fixes Arnav's project. Arnav looks at his project file, the first page was the same but all the other pages were edited and made more detailed. Khushi deserved the 100.

Arnav, guilt-ridden, ran back. He was feeling really bad. He slowly crept into Khushi's room. He saw that she was asleep. Payal was in the shower. Khushi started coughing. Arnav quickly got some water and tried to let her have it but it was getting difficult. He lifted her bringing her only inches from her face. He admired her beauty but then shook off the feeling that started to arouse. He and Khushi were just buds. Nothing more and hopefully nothing less. He was really sorry and meant it. He hoped his mistake wouldn't affect their friendship. He helped her drink some water. He laid her back down. Was there really a person who you could spend the rest of your life with and not regret. No Arnav, what the heck are you thinking. He was about to get up when Khushi held on to his arm. Arnav looked at this and caressed her hair. That was when Karan came in with a bunch of blue lilies. Arnav saw this and smirked trying to hold back his laugh. He got up.

"Why did you come here, wasn't humiliating Khushi before enough or are there any more false accusations." Payal said as she saw Arnav came. Karan was confused but what he heard from Payal was enough for him to say, "Please leave." At that moment Arnav felt like he wasn't a part of Khushi anymore. He felt like he didn't have a right on her, wait of course you don't have a right on her, but something made him feel weird. Maybe it was how someone else was able to tell him to go away from Khushi and him having to listen to him. He shrugged it off and left.

"Wait, I think I forgot my phone." Arnav said. Walking towards Khushi's bed. He slid a note under Khushi's pillow.

"I guess it's not here." Arnav said as he walked out.
