The plus for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani is that Alia Bhatt is a bonafide star in overseas and probably ahead of the male stars of the newer generation and Karan Johar has a value in the tradiotional overseas markets. The other director who has that is Sanjay Leela Bhansali so a film like Gangubhai Kathiawadi sort of becomes a benchmark and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani should surpass the business of that film. Gulf being in better condition now than Gangubai Kathiawadi time is an added bonus.
