Then You Look At Me...

Hey people.. I'm starting a new FF. Here all the characters are the same, except these few changes:

• Arnav and Khushi don't meet as they did in the original drama.

• Aakash and Payal are already engaged. But as his elder brother, Arnav, isn't married, Nani is apprehensive to go ahead with Aakash's marriage.

• Arnav, 26, has finally given in to Nani's unwavering persistence to go and see some girl for the sake of an arranged marriage.

• Khushi, 20, is an engineering student, who happens to be a gadget geek, and comes from a middle class family, unlike the almost poor family shown in the soap. She is a very sensible girl. At least when she's not with Arnav. (And she DOESN'T make jalebis to get off her frustration!)

• Shyaam is a very good person here. (Poor Guy.. Let him breathe, without you people swearing at him. At least in this FF!)

• Shashi and Garima are educated and live with Shashi's sister in a small, rented house in Delhi.

Arnav put on his tie angrily thinking what he had gotten himself into. 'Nani and her old fashioned ideas! What the hell is wrong with a live-in relationship, after all? Live with each other for a few days, and when you're fed up, break up!' he thought.

He put on his aviators, and shook his head to himself, as he went out of his room and called, "Jahaan bhi jaana hai, jaldi chalo. I don't have all DAY!" All his family members almost ran behind him, lest he change his mind.

When they reached Aakash's future in-law's place, Arnav got out of the car and looked at the small house. He once again shook his head and went along with his family members. Payal came out and greeted them all and sat next to Aakash, who was sitting next to Arnav.

She was very doubtful as to how her little sister would cope with all this. Especially Arnav. She had even suggested that she tell a no, instead of giving into Buaji's insistence *[Yes! Buaji is the same. But luckily she forces Khushi to marry a good guy, our Arnie. Nevertheless, she forces!!]* . But Khushi seemed to know what she was doing here.

After sometime, Nani asked Garima to bring her daughter, Khushi. "Khushi beta" called Garima. But even before that happened, Arnav noticed a young girl. No, a young lady in a beautiful white skirt and a full arm white top, appear behind the flying curtains. Her hair was let loose, and it danced with the wind enticingly. Payal and Aakash, who had seen her, tried to control their laughter as she twirled once, and asked how she was looking, just by wiggling her eyebrows. Her face had to be the most expressive one that Arnav had ever seen. Aakash gestured with his thumbs up and Payal just smiled.

What all these three hadn't known was that even Arnav had witnessed all this from behind his aviators...
