PART FIFTEEN
In the night they had dinner there n then went back to their room. As Geet entered she saw there were few albums in the cupboard n she took them out n saw that there were pictures of her n Karan n Armaan from their childhood days. Maan who had changed into black vest n track pants came n sat beside Geet n asked "Kya dekh rahi ho???"
Geet "Woh yeh albums the toh dekh rahi thi. Yeh na meri,Karan Bhaiya aur Armaan bhaiya ki bachpan se leke ab tak ki pictures hai."
Maan "Mishti mujhe dekhogi yeh albums???"
Geet nodded n they began seeing it. In the beginning it was baby pictures of Karan n Armaan n then there was a cute baby pic n seeing it Maan asked, "Yeh kaun hai Mishti???"
Geet "Yeh Main hu."
Maan "Oh Mishti tum kitni cute aur chubby thi." n pulled her cheeks. Geet was shocked seeing him do that n then he again called her n asked "Yeh tum ho kya Geet???"
Geet got a bit annoyed n said "Aapko koi aur ladki nazar arahi hai kya??? Har picture main puch rahe ho ke yeh tum ho kya???"
Maan "Sorry Mishti. Acha main nahi puchonga bas. Plz naraz mat hona."
Geet smiled n said "Haan yeh main hu. Hum log Kashmir gaye the ek shaadi ke liye toh tab maine zidd ki thi ke mujhe bhi dulhan jaise dress chaiye aur main kitna roi thi uss din. Uske baad Papa yeh dress leke aaye aur phir unhone toh mera photo shoot hi shuru kar diya. Usme se Nani ko yeh pic bohut pasand aayi toh unhone rakh liya."
Maan "Tum tab bhi bohut khubsoorat thi aur aaj bhi uthi hi ho"
Geet blushed hearing his compliment n then they began seeing her school n college pics. There was 1 photo which grabbed Maan's attention n he asked "Yeh kab ki photo hai Geet??? Aur yeh Karan hi hai na tum aur Armaan ke saath???"
Geet "Haan yeh pic Karan Veerji ki sagai ke time le thi. Tab hum log bohut mazae kiye the lekin uske ek saal baad..." n stopped not able to continue. Maan understood n just gave her a side hug n said "Geet tum kyu dukhi ho rahi ho un bato ko yaad kar ke. Kya tumhare Karan Veerji ko yeh acha lagta ke tum unko yaad kar ke dukhi ho rahi ho???" n when Geet nodded in a no Maan continued "Toh phir ro mat na aur waise bhi tum rote huve achi nahi lagti" n wiped her tears.
Geet stayed in the hug feeling peace n even Maan didnt pull out of the hug n when they dozed off both didnt know. The next morning Maan woke up when he felt a bit weight on him n saw that Geet had her rested her head on his chest n he felt that this was the best morning n he then closed his eyes as soon as he felt Geet stirring.
Geet when she woke up she felt that it was the most peaceful sleep she had n when she saw how she was sleeping her cheeks turned red n as she was about to move Maan tightened his hold on her waist.
Geet felt so embarrassed n she somehow managed to remove his hand from her waist n she ran off to her room. Maan smiled n then looked at the album which was left open n saw a pic of Geet n Karan dancing n thought "Meri Mishti kitni cute lag rahi hai uss Pink dress main. Agar mujhe pata nahi hota ke woh Karan hai usko bhai toh mujhe toh lagta ke woh Geet ka boyfriend hi hai"
After freshening up Maan called Dadi n talked with her for sometime n then Geet n Dadi talked n after the call they dresses up for the wedding n left.

As they entered together everyone turned towards them n all the girls were feeling jealous of Geet n the guys of Maan. The elders thought that they were a couple made in heaven or a perfect couple. Geet then went to Kali's room n helped her in the final touches. Geet then along with her other friends brought Kali down n then the wedding took place.
All the while Maan was busy admiring Geet n during the pheras, Geet stood beside him n offered him flowers. Maan took it from her n started showering her with it while all were showering it on the couple. Geet was surprised n she stopped Maan but he continued n then she glared at him n went away.
After the bidaai, Geet n Maan returned home n changed n then Geet went n prepared coffee for Maan. As she came out she saw Maan wasn't there n she kept the coffee on the table n searched in his room n outside but he wasnt there n then she saw a note n read it,
"Dear Mishti,
Main abhi kuch kaam se bahar ja raha hu. Tum tab tak araam kar lo. Aur shaam ko hum dinner pe jaenge aur plz tumne jo woh suit liya tha woh jaroor pehna. Tum usme bohut hi zyada achi lagti ho.

Geet blushed reading it n then went n took rest for sometime n in the evening got ready in the anarkali Maan had told her to wear. As she came out she saw Maan staring at her n she lowered her eyes seeing his intense gaze n her cheeks turned red.
Maan who had come after finishing his work n got ready n was about to call Geet saw her coming out n thought "Meri Mishti toh bikul ek Pari lag rahi hai nahi nahi woh toh ek Pari hi hai" n when he saw her blushing he went towards her n carressed her cheeks n said "Aaj toh tum bohut khubsoorat lag rahi ho. Phele woh saree main aur ab yeh dress main" n kissed her cheeks lovingly.
They then went to a 5-star hotel where Maan had booked a table for them n they had a nice time during dinner with Geet telling all about her life in Mumbai n her likes n dislikes n he teasing her n also telling her about his likes n dislikes.
As they came out Geet saw a girl whom she felt was very known to her but she couldnt figure it out who it was. She told Maan that she was coming in a minute n went to the girl n what she saw there shocked her.
As soon as the girl saw Geet she hugged her n said cryingly "Geet...muj...mujhe bacha...lo...woh... woh... mujhe...mar...dalega"
Geet hugged her back n rubbed her back to calm down n with her other hand she called Maan n told him to bring the car. As Maan came he saw Geet hugging a girl who had wrapped herself in a shawl n was sobbing.
The girl got scared seeing Maan n went behind Geet as if hiding from the man n said "Geet... woh mujhe...nahi...chodega"
Geet was in tears seeing her like this n said "Nandu kuch nahi hoga.Dekh yeh mere dost hai."
Nandini after a few mins came out from behind n said "Yeh tere... dost...hai. Hai na???"
Geet nodded n said "Acha ab chal tu mere saath. Hum tere ghar jaake baat karte hai"
Nandini hearing it got more scared n said "Na...nahii ghar nahi jana"
Maan was silently listening to their conversation n was thinking where he had seen the girl n then it flashed him he had seen it in the album Geet was showing to him yesterday n then he got to know that she was Nandini, Karan's Ex-Fiancee.
Geet "Theek hai. Hum tere ghar nahi jayenge. Chalo mere saath mere ghar." n helped Nandini inside the car.
Maan then drove back. Geet was wondering what happened to Nandini that she was so scared of men so much. As they reached the chol,Geet helped Nandini n took her inside the house.
Maan left both of them to talk n went n changed. Geet made Nandini to sit n then asked her, "Nandu yeh kya halat bana rakhi hai tune aapni??? Aur tu inti garmi main yeh shawl kyu pehni hai. Chal nikal ghar pe koi nahi hai toh tujhe chinta ki koi baat nahi hai"
Nandini "Nahi Geet woh main aise hi theek hu..." but before she could stop Geet she had already removed the shawl n what she saw shocked her n she gasped loudly. Maan who was coming out heard Geet n he rushed out n was shocked to see Nandini whose full arms were burnt. He went ahead n took the shawl from Geet's hands n covered Nandini n left from there.
Geet couldnt understand what should she say to console Nandini n hugged her. Nandini broke down totally n told in between her sobs, "Geet Maa-Bauji ne meri shaadi toh karva di jaldi jaldi main lekin unhone uss ladke ke baare main kuch pata nahi kiya. Woh phele ek hafte toh ache se rehta tha lekin ek hafte baad usne zabardashti karna shuru kar diya. Aur phir jab main nahi mani toh usne mujhe jalne ki koshish ki. Main waha se bhaag ke Maa-Bauji ke ghar gai lekin unhone mujhe ghar main nahi aane diya yeh keh ke ki ab jo bhi woh insaan kare woh mere pati hai aur uska ghar hi mera ghar hai. Maa ne phir bhi mujhe ek shawl de aur uss din se main usse chup rahi thi lekin aaj usne mujhe dekh liya aur main aapne naye ghar se bhaag gayi aur tu mujhe mil gayi. Woh mujhe nahi chodega Geet. Mujhe bacha le"
Geet was so heart broken hearing to her friend's condition for the past few months. She atleast had Dadima who helped her but who did Nandini have??? She felt bad to be even friend of Nandini when she couldnt even help her during her tough times.
Maan who had heard everything from outside felt so sick n helpless that he couldnt help a person in need then what use was his money.
