Plus, i like how you described how the two sisters are different to each other and how their father sees them in different lights without making it seem like one of them got less love, or had the upperhand, or was the 'evil sister' because thats how DMG CV's had portrayed the sister bond in the show. they had made Anjali look like the evil one and Riddhima the completely bholi one and that Shashank wasn't proud of Anjali or something but here you very nicely showed that Anjali is simply the vovacious beauty one while Riddhima is the timid beauty but both still beautiful and loved by Shashank =)

You do complete justice to AA! And that is a approval from a pretty hardcore AA shipper =D Not many writers choose to develop the side couples especially AA any more than the dmg cv's had, unfortunately. Sorry, i feel like i'm insulting your wonderful ff by comparing it to dmg but believe me i'm not..merely comparing it to the old dmg we all loved and very few manage to bring that back when writing a FF that involves the DMG gang =) So yes i love that you see that Atul wasn't just there for comedy..he has to have more to be with Anjali. thankyou for seeing that and inco-operating that into your FF, Sweety.

The beginning of this chapter was hilarious. You actually had me surprised when Anjali spilled out her thoughts because the bhai thing was totally unexpected, humorous though. You would expect writers to make AA fall in love through Anjali spilling her sudden deep love for Atul that she has hidden away in a drunk confession but i love that you avoided that predictable route and instead rooted for humour and classic AA.

^^SO Anjali. I literally pictured her saying this. Its so the typical cute but moody Anjali who always enjoyed the attention Atul lovingly gave her..therefore expecting it and when not found she demanded it 😆

^^Wow, all the above on just AA. You have earned extra brownie points by doing justice to my beloved and much missed AA, Sweety..and ya haven't even turned them into a couple yet and i am already over-analysing things 😆

"Are you sure, you're alright? Do you want me to come with you?" Rahul asked, concerned.

Ridhima looked over her shoulder to see Muskaan's head resting on Rahul's shoulder, and her pinching his cheeks while laughing.

^^i picked out quite a huge one here but because it highlighted to things: typical RM and the concern Rahul had for Riddhima.
Infact, if in DMG Rahul wasn't shown to be growing a slight crush towards Riddhima, i'd say he could have been a brother to her with the way he went out of his way and always managed to show concern for her and just this particular little bit you have kinda told us that Rahul will be there in the potential future of your FF to perhaps understand Riddhima and show concern..i don't know if i'm jumping here on something you may have not thought to include but either way i felt the brotherly concern here.

^^Seriously, talk about my over-analysing small gestures!! 😆

And the other thing was the typical image of Muskaan pinching Rahul's cheeks. Adorable and completely Rahul and Muskaan ;D

Sorry that i am going to be bringing back up another DMG memory when i say this: the whole new year atmosphere and Riddhima going out for fresh air reminded me of the new years terrace KaSh scene 😆 i don't know why i always mention whatever memories of DMG your FF boggles up into my mind..its not very fair to you is it when i should be commenting on only your FF

At first i had a feeling Raj would try to charm Riddhima again but then i re-considered when he apparently gave her a sincere apology. apparently. but then i have a suspicious feeling he had other intentions and he was completely aware of Armaan's watchful eye when he decided to kinda make Riddhima give into his spontaneous and suspiciously too 'cosy' hug. I have my feelings about him..he's already shown he knowns more than he shows and i just don't like what possible danger he could be.. but it sounds like he will be making a exit since him and his brother aren't going to be interested in Nikki anymore but then again Raj may choose to linger since he shows interest in Riddhima...

The AR moment. I'm hurrying now because i really need to log off but i must say that i was aware of Riddhima's insecurities but i was quite shell-shocked that she didn't believe that Armaan had looked at her in the party because he liked her...i seriously cannot believe how deep the damage has gone. I hope Armaan can turn this around for her. make her feel beautiful.

If anyone had told Armaan 6 months ago that Ridhima would be wearing a dress, he would have laughed in their face. If anyone would have mentioned that he would be apologizing to Ridhima he would have shaken his head in disbelief. If anyone would have mentioned that he would be holding Ridhima in his arms, trying to ignore the tingling in his arms, and the way his body reacted to her, he would have admitted them in the ICU, under strict observation.

But here he was on New Year's Eve, with Ridhima wearing a stunning red dress, apologizing, trying to ignore his feelings, and holding Ridhima in his arms. He was worried that his eyes betrayed every bit of uncertainty that he felt. The feelings that were being evoked from deep within. He was worried that Ridhima could see how his heart was beating erratically against his chest as her vanilla scent washed over him, tempting him to bend his head and inhale her scent deeply; holding her tightly against him, not letting her go.

"Ridhima, I am sorry" Armaan said once more, hoping that she would hear the sincerity in his voice and forgive him. He knew he had wronged her by not telling her that nothing was going on between Nikki and himself. And he knew that Ridhima thought that Armaan had been laughing at her feelings, but Armaan still did not understand why Ridhima got so upset over him omitting to tell her that it was a joke.

Was Ridhima really that insecure? Did she not realize that Armaan would never do anything to hurt her intentionally.

Armaan tried catching Ridhima's eye, but she was looking past him, her face gone white, and her eyes wide with fear. Frowning, Armaan turned his head slowly to look over his shoulder and saw a man standing in a tuxedo, with a few buttons on his shirt undone, wearing a smirk on his face.

A surge of protectiveness washed over him, taking over the questions and confusion he had for the man, and he held Ridhima closer to him. His hand tightened on her waist, and he readjusted himself so Ridhima was mostly blocked from the man's view. But Ridhima continued to stare at him, over his shoulder. The fear and anxiety were clearly visible in her eyes, and Armaan frowned at the reason behind it.

The man wasn't misbehaving with her. Nor had he said anything. Did she know him?

"Ridhima?" Armaan asked, confused. From the way Ridhima was leaning into him for support, Armaan knew that there was definitely some history between that man and Ridhima. What history, he did not know.

Looking over his shoulder once more, he saw that the smirk was still intact on the man's face, and his eyes had still not wavered from Ridhima's face. Not liking him one bit, Armaan turned back to Ridhima. Squeezing her waist, he brought her attention back to him.

"What's wrong?" He asked her, staring deeply into her eyes, concern showing on his face. He tried to not let his jealousy take over once more, and waited for Ridhima to explain.

She had tears swimming in her eyes, and Armaan's eyes hardened. Who was this man?

She opened her mouth slightly, as if to speak, but no words came out. She was speechless, the shock on her face was still evident, along with pain. Her eye spoke volumes, and it hurt Armaan to see that Ridhima was hurting but he could do nothing.

"Ridhima?" He tried once more, as her eyes darted back to the man standing behind Armaan. Giving out a sigh of frustration, he removed the hand at her waist and brought it up to her cheek. He turned her face, so she was facing him, and not the man behind. He adjusted himself some more, bringing himself closer to her, to block her away from every one else.

"Please tell me" He whispered, looking into her eyes, hoping that she would let him in. She looked conflicted, but the way she was clutching onto his shirt for support, and her body was leaning into him, made Armaan sure that she did not want this man near her. Who was he?

"Ridhima Gupta?" The man finally spoke, a hint of amusement laced in his voice. Ridhima's eyes widened even more, and she subconsciously clutched Armaan's shirt tighter. Armaan's eyes hardened seeing Ridhima like this, and continued to stare into Ridhima's eyes, trying to convey to her through his eyes, what he could not by speaking.

Finally Ridhima broke their gaze, and shifted to look past him again. The grip on his shirt did not falter, and it gave Armaan a small sense of satisfaction that she trusted him enough to support her during any trouble of hers.

"Sameer" She said, monotonously, though Armaan still heard the slight quiver in her voice, and he reflexively squeezed Ridhima's waist to show support.

"Well, well, well, after so long we finally bumped into each other again. I told you we would, didn't I?" Sameer spoke from behind Armaan, though his voice kept getting closer, indicating that he was taking steps to come closer to them.

Armaan tried moving so his back wouldn't face Sameer, but Ridhima's grip tightened on his shirt. Maybe she needed him more than he thought. Shifting slightly, so he was standing to the side of Ridhima, he held her body flush to his, and she continued to hold onto his shirt.

Sameer came and stood next to Armaan and Ridhima, his eyes meeting Armaan's before finally settling on Ridhima. It irked Armaan to see that the smirk on Sameer's face was still intact and had not disappeared.

Ridhima did not speak and continued to stare into Sameer's eyes with apprehension, just as Sameer stared back at her, with the arrogance hanging off from him, making Armaan highly uncomfortable.

He was dying to know the history between Sameer and Ridhima, and the reason behind Ridhima's reaction to him.

Who was this man?

Ridhima smiled a small smile back, her eyes still showing the apprehension and her body was completely stiff against Armaan, making Armaan feel agitated at the man in front of Ridhima.

"It has" Ridhima whispered, the smile plastered on her face, her hand clutching onto Armaan's shirt. Sameer's smirk widened as Ridhima answered, making Armaan more cautious.

His arm, around her waist, tightened, bringing Ridhima closer to him, almost moulding her body against his. He saw as Sameer's eyes briefly flickered over to Armaan, and it gave him some satisfaction to see the smirk dip down slightly.

"So it seems like you moved on" Sameer started, and Ridhima looked down at that.

Moved on? Armaan thought, and he briefly looked down at Ridhima, hoping she's pass him some signal as to what was going on.

"Yeah" Ridhima said finally, looking back up and giving Sameer another polite smile. Sameer's eyebrows shot up at that and he finally looked at Armaan in the eye.

"This is Armaan" Ridhima said finally, hesitating before she added, "my boyfriend"

Armaan felt the wind knocked out of his lungs as she said that and suddenly his chest tightened, and his heart skipped a beat. His hand unknowingly tightened on Ridhima's waist, and he had to try very hard not to let any of the surprise show on his face.

Boyfriend? Armaan thought. However he continued to keep the steady eye contact with Sameer, regarding him cooly.

His heart was beating erratically against his chest, and suddenly he was more aware of Ridhima's soft body against his. He was aware of how he could feel her tiniest of movements, including her breath quickening slightly since she uttered the lie.

Sameer smirked once more, and Armaan's hand itched to remove it from his face permanently.

Sameer held out a hand, raised an eyebrow and said, "Sameer. Ridhima's ex-boyfriend"

Armaan's eyebrows shot up, and from the corner of his eye he saw as Ridhima' closed her eyes and looked down painfully. What was going on?
