Kashish, are you saying that I should not even have mentioned the policy about explicit content to DILIBAADAT until after I had resolved the plagiarism issue? That is all I had done...mentioned it. Even now, I have not taken any action on it. None of her FFs have been closed. DILIBAADAT has closed them herself. I had every intention of taking care of the plagiarism issue before handling the explicit content. That's exactly what would have happened if this was not blown out of proportion. And as far as closing the accused member's thread, I have taken care of that now. The reason that I needed more time is that DILIBAADAT had not provided me with links to the specific passages in her own FF. I wanted to see the evidence first before closing anyone's FF. That is why I had sent her that initial PM requesting that.

^ Thank you for your response and for stating your concerns.I agree that the definition of what is appropriate and what is not can be very subjective, but I am doing the best I can to uphold the standards that Vijay has set for this forum. That's what my concern is. How do members know what those standards are unless they are given a set of guidelines to follow? There is some gray area at times, in which case, I try to be very lenient. However, most of the writers whom I am addressing in this post have gone beyond all limits. They are describing the act in such graphic detail that if it were a screenplay for a movie, it would be x-rated and we would call it something else rather than a movie. I'm sure we can all agree that this is not adhering to the rules of this forum. The "12 year old" comment was not supposed to be that specific. I just meant early adolescent. And either way, I am certain that there are many members in this forum who are younger than 13. There is no way to prevent that unfortunately. In this case 12 year olds or kids under the age of 13 shouldn't even be on this forum in the first place as it is clearly against the rules and so the issue of them reading the FF's shouldn't even arise. I guess that is a separate area that needs to be dealt with though. You are absolutely correct in saying that children and early adolescents are exposed to a lot of sexual references and language on TV these days. Even Indian TV serials have some very sensual scenes. But again, I must argue that some of what is posted in this section goes way beyond that. That is mostly what I'm trying to prevent. I have no problems with romantic scenes and even making it very obvious that a certain act happened between a couple in a FF. Mature concepts such as rape and violence are allowed as long as the description does not go overboard. The scene described by the words of the FF writers should not be so explicit that it would not be allowed on television. There was actually a long discussion about this in the past, and we seemed to have come up with criteria that most members could agree with. Please read this thread for more detail: https://india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=861317If anyone has any ideas on how this situation can be handled better, please let me know. I am open to suggestions. Thanks for the link but like someone rightly pointed out - things that were seen as 'wrong' or too bold are now perfectly OK to talk about and to write about and that thread is around 3 years old. I may be wrong but I expect there to be slight changes from then and now. My worry is that if writers are going overboard and are simply told to 'tone it down' without any real guidance, it will simply put them off writing and in turn many readers will suffer.
