Chapter 6
"Mom why are you dressing me up?" Aushka looks at her daughter after putting on a dupatta on her shoulder...
Aushka: because you need to look nice when you go meet Maan
Geet: uss baffoon se milne ke liye mujhe yeh sab pehene ki kya zaroorat hai?
Aushka: Geet stop being so damn stubborn..nothing you say will change our mind...you need to make a good impression on him
Geet: What about him? He called me a chudail..that is a good impression you got of him?
Aushka: That is because you slapped him remember
Geet: Mom he was defending a guy that was teasing me and on top of that he criticized my clothing sense
Aushka (laughed): well you look really pretty in suits and sarees...I never liked you wearing those mini skirts and shorts
Geet: ugh looks like he did some kind of magic on you two..but let me tell you I will NOT be nice to him..if he calls me chudail or any other names then I will slap him again
Rahul (comes in from behind): You will do no such thing...if you ruin this marriage proposal than you will not live in this house anymore..understand! (Both Anushka and Geet are shocked hearing him)
Geet: What are you saying
Rahul: What you heard...(he sighs and puts his hands on her shoulder): Geet bete listen you are getting married to Khurana Parivar as their badi bahu...If you do something stupid then it will not only ruin our reputation and theirs but it will also tarnish our friendship with them...
Geet: But dad..I want to study and he is not even my type
Rahul: how do you know that if you don't get to know him? Now enough of this..get ready and be downstairs soon (Geet looks at her mom who looks at her helpless..Geet sighs and quickly gets ready)

Maan was sure that someone evil eye is on him...and now he knew it belonged to that chudail's...Pandayji gave him some instruction over the phone last night what to do in order to get rid of her...Maan had a long beaded necklace in one had and kept rotating around slowly while he repeats Hanuman Chalisa at least 100 times...he stayed up all night praying.
Maan: Dadima I already told you that I will NOT wear this jean and a shirt...
Dadima: You will look nice in this when you meet Geet
Maan: Dadima I told you before I am comfortable in whatever I wear and I will not change my dressing fot that chudail
Dadima: Maan! (she shouts) she is soon-to-be your wife..you shouldn't call her names like that...
Maan (st): "She already did some black magic on my poor Dadima...what will happen to me now?" Dadima I agreed to meet that chu..(immediately stops seeing Daidma's angry face) I mean her so at least let me wear what I want or else I won't go
Madhuri: Ma leave it..if he wants to wear his current outfit than let him...
Dadima (sighs): Fine..just because you are saying this Madhuri...
Maan (is happy): ok (Maan quickly went to his room and toward Pandayji's photo..he slowly opened the drawer below the photo and took out some of the contents...he puts holy water bottle in his pocket and a beaded necklace in his other pocket..) "just in case that chudail tries to touch me..I will be protected...pata nahi kya kiya usne meri pyarri Dadima aur Maa ke saath..dono uski tareef kar rehe hai...but I will not get trapped by her...no ways...Pandayji told me to stay as far away as possible..." (he folds his hands in front of his portrait) Please Pandayji do something..my life is in danger...
Dadima (comes to his room): Maan come on you are going to be late.and remember if you better not call her any names and behave properly with her...
Maan: ok fine...(he gently patted his pockets to see if he has his items...he sighed in relief and quietly walked down the stairs and into the car...) "Of to see the chudail"

Geet and Maan both stared at each other with anger and hatred...Maan had moved his chair as far away as possible from Geet..or at least as much space as he could create between them from the small round table...he occasionally touched his beaded necklaces and said Hanuman chalisa inside his head...Geet stared at him as if he was an alien...she wanted to say no to him but couldn't since she would be kicked out of the house if this marriage didn't happen...and knowing her dad she knew that would be possible...
Geet (sighed and decided to break the ice): Look..I don't want to get married either
Maan: ok then you say no and I will happily accept
Geet: Me? why don't you say no..you are the boy
Maan: I can't say no...I can't break my poor Dadima's heart (Geet almost smiled hearing him talk like a little boy but quickly came back to her normal self)
Geet: Well I don't want to break my mom and dad's heart either..so it is better that you say that you don't want to get married
Maan: I am not saying that either...dad would kill me
Geet: So what..you are a man..you could take a little beating from your dad...I on the other hand would get kicked out of the house if I say no
Maan (st:so chudail would be alive and I would be dead over a girl.."): No...I am not doing that...
Geet (moves her hand little bit closer to Maan..Maan sees that and moves back in his chair as far as he could...Maan grips his hand on the holy water and looks at her hand..Geet sees this and thinks of a evil plan): this is my last warning say no to your parents and mine or else
Maan: What will you do if I say no?
Geet: I will make your life hell...if we do end up getting married believe me I will make you suffer (she puts on a evil smile...she moves her hand closer and closer toward Maan...than she gets up and walks toward him with evil smile)
Maan: Listen (Maan gets up from his chair and looks at her scared) I can do the same thing to you too...
Geet: Really? Lets see...(she touches Maan hand..and the next moment she screamed...she looks at Maan with anger...) You buffoon...I will get you for this (Geet runs to the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror...her whole face was wet with little bit of water dripping from the hair...the moment Geet had touched him Maan squirted her with holy water and then quickly squirted his hand where she touched...as soon as Geet went to the bathroom Maan ran out of the restaurant..to go to Pandayji...) You will pay for this Maan Singh Khurana...
