Chapter 27

Six months later!

Maan and Geet have been married for five months now...their love is still as strong as ever...Geet never looked back at the horrific incident that happened in her life before she was actually happy that she got to meet Maan out of the whole event..she never received so much love and care before...Vicky has been sentenced to jail for a lifetime...even though Maan preferred that he dies there was nothing he can do but respect courts decision...Maan couldn't be happier where his life is at...

A girl opens her eyes slowly...it was all darkness around...she hears footsteps of a person coming closer to her...there was little bit of light coming in through the cracked holes...she saw a faint shadow of the person in front of her...she gets up slowly and tackles the person down on the floor and makes her way around the room..she saw a stairway at the end..she quickly went up the stairs..she was shocked of what she saw when she was at the top...she was on a boat..there was no escape...she looked back and saw the guy standing there...she stumbled back and fell on the floor..the guy held a syringe in his hand...he came up to her and shot her on the neck...
"You look just like her" He smiled and picked her up...she couldn't move..she was helpless..it seemed like she has no arms or legs...he gently places her on the table...she just laid there on the table watching him...he started to put a mold on her face...covering her mouth and nose...she started to breathe heavy with no air...she looked at him with pleading eyes for help..he looked at her and slowly closed her eyes...

Geet: Maan wake up...don't you have to go to work?

Maan (covers his face with his arm): Geet let me sleep..I am tired

Geet: Fine I will be back in half hour with your breakfast (Maan quickly pulls Geet into his arm)

Maan: Where are you going?

Geet: Maan let me go..I have to make breakfast

Maan (looks at her lips): what's the need when I have my breakfast right here (in a flirty voice)

Geet (tries to get up): Maan I have to go..Dadima will be calling...

Maan: I don't think so..(he quickly brings her down..he pins her arms on both sides...he looks down at her lips again...he slowly comes down to her lips..Geet closes her eyes..her cheeks getting red...he kisses her passionately...after a while Maan's phone rings..bringing both out of their passion..Geet manages to push him off of her)

Geet: Now go get ready..(runs away from the room)

Maan: Damn it phone ko abhi bajana tha..(Maan picks up the phone) Hi Adi...what! Ok I will be there now (he quickly gets ready and comes down to breakfast)

Geet: here is your breakfast

Maan: No time I have to go its urgent (he kisses her on the cheek)

Geet: but (he leaves before she could say anything)

Dadima (comes down stairs): What happend?

Geet: his cases Dadima..pata nahi kab sare criminals mar gayege

Dadima (laughed): if that was the case than Maan wouldn't have any job..come lets have breakfast

Maan arrived at the beach...the place was covered by police force...he made his way in and spotted Adi.
Maan: What happened here Adi?

Adi: one of the civilian found a dead body of a girl washed up to the shore...a young woman around the age of 20-25...but this time there is something different...

Maan: different?

Adi: Yeah....by looking at the body I don't think we are looking for the same person...this time we found the girl's face covered with a mask...you will see..come..(Maan goes close to the body..he puts on his gloves...he moves the head of the girl to the side to give him good view)

Maan: I think it might be the same person...hmm this girl wasn't strangled like the ones from before...there are no signs of bruising or any sign of assault...it looks like the person was very careful when killing her...maybe he changed his pattern of killings...

"You are right Detective Khurana" A voice came from behind...

Maan: Miss. please leave the crime scene..you can't be here (angry)

Adi (came up to Maan): Actually I gave her the permission...let me introduce you to her..(the girl came and stood by Adi)..this is Neha Sharma, she is from CID department..she is a profiler and will help us give us some clues about who the person might be...She is your new partner...and will be working with you until the case is over

Neha: Nice to meet you Detective Khurana..I have read a lot about you

Maan: Thank you..well what can you tell me so far (trying to see if she is capable or not)

Neha (goes to the victim):I have done my research on all the recent killings that have been happening in Delhi..the killer is definitely the same person..he has taken a good care of the body..you know besides from being drifted in the ocean...even her clothes has no tears or anything...just like how other victims were found and the only thing he changed is the way he kills...

Maan: My question is how did she die?

Neha: Maybe drowning..

Maan: Adi is there any ID on the victim?

Adi: Yeah her name is Tasha Gupta...she was a student at this university..doing her MBA...

Maan: Alright...let's get her to our forensics team to see what they can tell us more about the victim...(Maan phone rings) excuse me (he goes to the side) Yeah Geet what is it?

Geet: I am going to college right now..are you able to pick me up?

Maan: No I am going to be busy with this new case

Geet: Alright come home early

Maan: Yeah I will..bye

At the forensics lab...Neha, Maan and Adi enter...
Maan (to Neha): Since we will be working together..let me introduce you to our new forensics specialist Rahul Malhotra and his assistant Sasha Kapoor...

Neha: Nice to meet you both

Rahul: likewise..shall we get down to business...

Maan: That is what I like to here..so how did she die? by drowning?

Rahul: Not at all..there was no water found in her lungs...Sasha ran some runs...

Sasha: Even though I didn't find any type of water in her body..I found some traces of chloroform in her body...and look here (points to the neck) do you see this tiny mark on her neck..it looks like she was injected with something...I will run some tests to see what exactly...

Maan: Inform me as soon as you find something..anything else?

Rahul: Yeah..seems she was suffocated to death...

Neha: So he is evolving..instead of strangling his victims like earlier he is killing them while they are still alive...

Maan: yeah..look at her mask..it is tightly plastered to her face...(to Adi) Did you find anything else on Tasha?

Adi: I have talked to her family over the phone..the last place she was seen was at a club...

Neha: Alright than let's check it out...

Maan: umm I can go by myself Neha..you can stay here

Neha: No offence Detective Khurana but am part of this case too and your partner for the time being..so I have the same rights to check out any leads and help find the killer

Maan: No offence Miss. Neha..but profiling won't help catch the killer

Neha: Really? And what will help us catch the killer?

Maan: Police work, make people speak and following guts and any leads

Neha: Please this tough police act won't work on me..

Adi (steps in): Alright you two..Maan she is as much part of this case as you are..now you both will have to work together whether you both like it or not

Maan: Fine! Let's go Miss. Neha..we don't have all day...

Precap: Chase begins..Geet mad...

well.................... the leap was surely greatly justified - lool maan's naughty self - awwww i loved that....hehehehe

oooooo another mysterious killing haan - ok now im keeping tabs on every character u mention - cos last tym my adi point was proven wrong - well technically i wasnt rong...........u just chose to cheat at the last moment😆

hehehe soo..............we know its not Adi/Maan/Geet or Daadi - and Vicky is in jail.....Dev died and so did that wretched Rohit..............hmmmm
