Part 10

They were still in the office, busy with there work- Maan was in his cabin talking on his phone with clients from London about his new venture while Geet was in her cabin doing her work! She she was no longer bubbly but was in great thoughtful mood. She was really looking too serious than her self! She was really torn between her heart feeling an love. She didn't know what to consider more. She was indeed baffled. On one part she was his friend on other hand he wa her love.. her only love and what to consider more was causing her frustration! She knew that his happiness was indeed everything to her, but then how could she control her feeling for him. She didn't know how she was going to survive without him. He was like the last breath of air that actually gets your desire back to live for her. She time to time repeated the same questions in her mind.. 'why this happened with her? Why only her?' she was baffled and los and tensed. She knew that Shivani was the one whom she had seen a different maan. A maan who smiles, talks like a teenager and also enjoys in her presence but she also knew that she was sad for not being herself the reason behind his smile, his happiness!

But she was helpless, it was her love that was making her so. She knew that only felings ar not love in real sense and only mere feelings don't tell us measure of love withen oneself. But only sacrifise can measure true love. If we love someone than to sacrifice everything for him measures height of love.

She was thinking all this when suddenly her phone rang. She picked up the call.

Geet: hello!.. Ji.. ji.. achha theek hai mumma mai pinky ke ghar chali jaungi.. par kam kya hai?.. achha theek hai.. mai usse hi pooch loongi!.. ji .. bye'

Geet to herself: ye mumma bhi na.. IDK why she sometimes act like this.. pata nahi kya hua hai jo ujhe pinky ke ghar jane ko keh rahi hai' goshhh!... don't know what she is hiding' pata nahi aisa kya hai jo mujhe nahi pata par pinky ko pata hai

While she was thinking about all this pinky knocked her cabin door.

Geet: arre pinky tum..

Pinky: arregeet tu abhi tak yehi hai?...geet looks at her confused nahi mera matlab hai ghar nahi chalna kya? Aaj sir ne sabko half day diya hai.. aur vo hai bhi nahi toh'

Geet: kya man.. I mean maan sir office ein nahi hai?... kaha gaye vo?.. aur pinky mujhe to kisi neb hi half day kle bare mein nahi bataya!...

Pinky: Geet tu DD ki secretary hoon ya mai?... to mujhe pata hoga na' aur vaise bhi .,. abb mai bata rahi hoon na tujhe half day k bare mein.. to bass ab chal.. aur pata hai na.. aaj tujhe mere saath chalna hai..?... she asked munching her burger

Geet: pat mujhe to unhone nahi bataya ke vo ja rahe hai she said in sad tone' par tujhe kaise pata ke vo bahar gaye hai..

Pinky: uff.. geet maine unhe bahar jate hue dekha tha. Aur anyways.. unhe tujhe inform krne ke liye kaha tha.., koi bohot imp kaam tha unhe. Ab chal na.. ya phir yahin baithna hai hmm???

Geet:ohh!..

(to her self) kamal hai.. mujhe nahi bataya.. par geet vo tujhe kuch kyu batayenge.. tub hi na.. vo tujhe vaise pasand thode hi krte hain.. aur vaise bhi tu na.. yaha unki dadi ki vajah se hai.. varna to unke paas bhi jana asaan kaam nahi hai' haina.. haan.

Pinky:kya?... kya tu kuch bol rahi hai? she asked while munching her burger

Geet: nahi to'

Chalo ghar chalte hain..

Pinky: haan chal.. aaj na mai tujhe apne ghar ke paas vali shop ke first class samose bhi khilaoongi.

Geet(to herself): haan haan.. ab to mai samose hi khaungi.. aur vahan maan Shivani ke saath honge..

She said the last part bit loudly hearing to which she giggled!

Pinky: ye tu kya bol rahi hai? Han? she asked with evilish grin

Geet: nahi to.. kuch bhi nahi pinky. Tu bhi na.. ab chal ghar nahi chalna kya?.. she said avoiding the topic

They reached pinky's house.

Pinky knew all about Maan's plan of surprising Geet. She knew that they both are very much in love, to say it more precisely she was one of the team member of Savitri Devi including Sasha, Adi. And now she was included in Maan's plan too. He only asked her to take Geet to her house and also took permission from Geet's family and late to bring her to the place as decided!

When both of them settled in pinky's house pinky told her that she has to go to her friend's house. And she also didn't want to leave Geet all alone so she convinces her to come with her.

Pinky: yar mujhe na ek dost ke ghar jana hai.. kuch imp. kaam hai.. to tub hi chal na mere saath.. zada der nahi lagegi.

Geet: nahi pinky.. mujhe ghar jana hai.. aur kaam hai thoda.. aur project ko bhi poora karna hai varna kal Maan.. I mean Maan sir naraz ho jayenge.

Pinky: haan .. aur gar tu mere saath nahi chali to meri naukari bhi chali jayegi!

She bit her tongue Geet mera matlab hai ke bass kuch hi der ka toh kaam hai... pls chal na yaar'

Geet: achha theek hai' lekin bass thodi der ke liye.. ok..

Pinky: haan haan.. pakka.. bass..

Pinky took out a packet from her closet and an handed it to her. Ye lo geet ye pehan lo..

Geet: ye kya hai? She asked all confused.

Pinky: kapre hain aur kya! she answered absent mindedly

Geet: janti hoon! Par ye mujhe kyu de rahi hai? Mai kya karu iska. Han?

Pinky: arre yar.. pehan le na.. kapre hi toh hai..

Geet: par kyu pinky?

She said this while taking out the cloth from the packet. It was a sari.. Geet stood there mesmerized looking at the beauty of the saari.. from the look only it looked very costly!

pinky ye to bohot costly lag rahi hai.. ye mujhe kyu de rahi ho?

Pinky( she said absent mindedly) uff geet! Ab mai kya karu agar vo hi tujhe isme dekhna chahte hai..she stumbled! She looked at get in shock.. I mean Geet.. ab tum aise thode hi jaogi mere saath.. aur ye saari gift hai tumhare liye. Achha ab zada sawal mat karo aur jaldi se ready ho jao..

Pinky showed her the wash room.. then she dialed Maan's number to inform him of proceedings!

Geet got ready. She just wore saari and combed her hair straight. She wore simple small earrings and no makeup. she slowly came to dressing table to have a last look of her self!

Pinky was looking at her friend. Geet really looked beautiful.

Geet: kya hua pinky? She asked her as she saw pinky looking at her mouth open.

Pinky: yaar mujhe nahi pata tha ke tu saari pehan ke itni achhi lagti hai.. ab pata chala ke vo tere ine deewane kyu hai.. she stopped.. and bit her tongue!

Geet: tu ye baar baar kiski baa kar rahi hai?bol na.. tab se dekh rahi hoon' baar baar bolte bolte chup ho jati hai.. ab bata bhi de na ke hum tere kaun se doston key aha jaa rahe hai?

Pinky: tu chal to.. tujhe khud hi pata chal jayega. Ab chal!..

Both of them moved out of the house. It wwas already 7:30 PM. They just had half an hour to reach.

Geet: pinky..

Pinky: han?

Geet: hum tere friends ke yahan jaa rahe hai.. aur ready mai hui hoon. Tumne change kyu nahi kiya?

Pinky: vo geet ' vo ' maine' actually' haan' arre geet mai to unn logo se milti rehti hoon.. par tum pehli baar mil rahi ho na'she looked at Geet nervously and smiled.

Geet looked at her unsatisfied by her explanation. She knew that pinky was hiding something, she didn't knew what it was or the reason why she was hiding?

A BMW came I n stopped just in front of them. Pinky hopped in and asked Geet to do the same.

Geet: ye car ..? pinky .. ye car kisne..??

Pinky: aree geet tu bhi na sawal bohot poochti hai..mai tujhe koi aise vaise jagah thode hi le jaongi.

Geet: nahi pinky' aise baat nahi hai..

pinky asked abruptly : To kaise baat baat hai..??

Geet: nhi voo'maine ghr par kisi ko inform nhi kiya hai'

pinky :tu pareshan mat ho..mai hoon na tere saath'aur ghar mein sabko pata hai k tu mere saath hai..maine unko bata diya tha' jab tu change kr rahi thi'

Geet : ooh !! she smiled weakly

She didn't know wht was happening and why'?? while she was lost in thoughts the car came to halt. the driver opened the door for geet and then pinky. Both came out of the car and found them selves standing infront of huge house. it was very big with a very big garden ..Geet had definitely nvr seen such a big house..it looked lyk a surreal house'

Geet: Pinky'ye hum'

Pinky: haan wo ye unka farm house hai..she said as they proceeded inside the house.

Pinky: geet tu zara chal mai abhi aati hun..

Geet: pinky'.plzz mujhe chor k mat jaa yaha kitna andhera hai mujhe andhere se bht darr lgta hai..plzz yaar'

Pinky: arrey'..tu darr mat..mai bass yun gayi aur yun aayi'hmmm'

Geet: ummm'

Pinky went outside where the car was still there and hopped in and told the driver to return to her place' but before going she talked maan to tell him tht geet has reached.. while on other side geet came near the door of the house but as she was opening it'she heard the noise of the car which ignited and left.. she stopped mid way hearing the sound and took step away and she ws abt to turn back to the main gate when a voice came behind her'

Voice: kaha jaa rahe ho?? Darr gai kya??

Geet stood rooted at the spot.she knew it ws maan.she turned around and instantly ran into his arms. she was shaking with fear. While Maan wrapped his arms round her.it looked that she just belonged to castle of his arms. Like his arms were made only to hug her. Maan lovingly snaked his arms around her and tightened the hold to assure her that she is safe.. after a while Geet snapped out of his arms. She knew that it was wrong however it seemed so much right. It looked like it was just meant to be, like they were jst meant for each other.. she loved him and was sure abt It but he didn't.. she knew it too'however some where she wanted it to be false'

all this while Maan wondered why she was being so indifferent to him'

Geet: aap' yahan?? Vo mujhe laga' matlab Pinky keh rahi thi k yaha uske friends'

Maan: maine tumhe yaha bulaya hai geet!! Aaj mai tumse kuch bohot imp. baat krna chahta hun!

she didn't know what he was going to say but she thought that it might be he wants to tell her about him and Shivani. That he loves her. And may be he wants to just compensate by his showing care and giving a long thank you speech. She already had tears in eyes and fear in heart.. She thought that any moment she might fall. Every thing around her seemed to be blurred. Like her knees are giving up, like she didn't had any strength to hear his rejection. But all her thoughts were broken when suddenly Maan again took her in his arms and led her inside the house. She didn't know where she was going or where he was taking her. She was like a kite that didn't know anything but was just taken in the direction where the string was being pulled i.e. where Maan was taking her. She trusted Maan more than herself and so she neither said anything nor asked anything. She just walked with him in his warm embrace. On other hand Maan was bit confused with her behavior. Nor she was asking anything nor saying anything. Maan didn't know if she feels the same for him. But he had thought that today may be what he is going to tell her about his feelings. Nobody'nothing is going to stop him from expressing what he has for her. He took her to the big hall which was dark till now. He left her hand to switch on the light when she held his hand more tightly not letting go..

" 1 min geet mai abi aata hun" maan said assuring her.

"mat jayea"' mujhe andhere se darr lgta hai !" geet said holding his hand more tightly..

"geet mujhpe bharosa hai na??" said maan while keeping his other hand on her hand which ws holding maan's hand..

" haan' khud se bhi zyada" she said as she reluctantly let go his hand..

Maan opened the lights and as he opened Geet stood there mesmerized the hall was beautifully decorated with lights of different colors all over and with silky curtains hung all around the place. There were flowers on every wall. And there was just one table with only two chairs kept at the center of the hall. The soft romantic music was playing. Geet who was standing at the corner was looking lost in the beauty of the hall. She didn't know what was going.. it looked like it was a dream which she always saw, and the fact that, 'Maan doing it was most surreal'.. While she was drowned in her thoughts, Maan came and put an arm around her back and led her to the table. Geet was still amazed looking around the hall.

Maan: "kya hua geet' pasand nhi aya kya" he said in the huskiest tone'a chill ran dwn geet whn she heard him say so in that voice'

she said stammering, nhi' nhi mera mtlb hai..bohot acha hai.. par ye sab kis liye..??

"tmare liye geet.. Humare liye" Maan said as he made her sit on the chair'.Geet looked at Maan surprisingly hearing "humare liyea" from Maan's mouth' she did not know why Maan was saying all this when the fact was that he loved Shivani. Then why he was saying all to her and doing all these things'her thoughts were suddenly broken when Maan held out his heard and asked for dance'Geet accepted'

(guyz plz 4giv me coz I am not a very much good explainer'and the truth being. I am an awkward lone room dancer..😆. so plzz 4giv me if u wont get much romance in maneet dancing.. but I'll try my bst..)

Maan took her in his arms and just danced softly with her hands on his shoulders and his hands on her slim waist. He then brought her infron of him with her back facing him and just holding her in his full embrace.. hugging her tightly but not hurting her.

He then kissed nape of her neck softly, to which she shivered. But he continued kissing her neck softly and dancing with her.

He then turned her again and now held her front. He then slightly bend her head backwards so he could get more access to her neck. He then showered soft kisses on her neck.. he then just held her in his embrace for sometime..

Geet was melting with his every touch. His every touch was filled with so much warmth of love. She didn't know what was happening.. why was happening.. but the main thing was that she was happy and feeling contented.

After the song got over Maan slowly came out of the embrace. And took her both hands brought them near his mouth and softly kissed them while looking in her eyes passionately.. he said in the huskiest tone, " Geet, I know ke hum dono shaadi keliye mile the uss din.. aur sachh kahu to mujhe mujhe achhi bhi lagi thi.. par mai tab tumhare bare mein kuch nahi janta tha.. isiliye jab dadi ma ne 'haan-naa' ka jawab dene ko kaha to maine unse thoda waqt manga tha .. faisla karne ke liye'. Kyu ki geet .. ye humari life ka sawal tha. Aur ab mai vo faisla kr chukka hoon.."

Geet didn't know what he was going to say.. nor she knew why he has done so much of arrangements.. may be that he wants to say sorry for rejecting her and its just a way of saying sorry so that she doesn't feel much hurt. Thinking so she just started to say something when maan kept his finger on her lips.

" nahi Geet!.. aa nahi .. aaj pehle mai bolunga.. mujhe rook mat.. maan again said after a short pause Geet mai pata nahi tumse kabse aur kaise.. pyaar karne laga hoon.. I have strted loving u.."

As maan said this, geet eyes filled with joy.. she didn't know how foolish she could be to think that he doesn't love her!..

"par Geet mai tumper koi dabav nahi dalna chahta.. par ye sachh mai.. that I really love you.. and want to marry you'"

Maan had not yet finished when suddenly Geet hugged him tightly.. not letting him go'Maan too didn't said anything, he just held her with same intensity with same passion.
