While the others napped Abhay and Tara went outside to discuss Pia. Her attitude was irritating to say the least was an understatement. He'd had enough of this self sacrificial lamb theme going on with her. Damn her and damn Maithali both women were infuriating the hell out of him. it was a hard enough to separate Pia from Maithali from the get go. It was easier when he'd first met Pia. They were worlds apart which drew him to Pia like a moth to a flame but the more he got to know her the more Maithali like she'd become. Now with Maithali's spirit within Pia it made it all the more difficult. Abhay feared for Pia and what this all meant. The irrevocable change in Pia was already evident as the two souls were already merging. Tara observed Abhay's mood with her powers attempting to nullify his temper. Vampires were not meant to feel and for a good reason too. It often led to disasters. Abhay was drowning in his sea filled with odium at himself bringing Pia into his world. Tara managed to undo Abhay's negative outlook by filling his mind with just one desire. She moved around the dark cloud surrounding his thoughts until all he saw was one face Pia's well it was as close to Pia's as the hairdo was a mesh of both Maithali and Pia. It did the trick. Abhay'd stopped pacing around like a lunatic.

Tara sat Abhay down in the backyard while the others slept on-So have U finally wind down now? It's not healthy Abhay all this rage. Its the old U not the new U.

Abhay was holding his head down deep in thought-How do U know that I'm not the old me after all i've done Tara. Maybe karma's biting me in the a** for all the sins I've committed against mankind. All the people I've killed in my soulless existence. I didn't even spare my own family Tara. I didn't even spare Maithai's family in my quest for blood. I was hooked on the stuff like i still am. For having fun killing people as a sport. For being a sick monster. Maybe God's punishing me by hurting Pia? It all boils down to me Tara.

Tara made a grim face darkening with Abhay's self loathing-Oh no U don't Abhay. Not the self pity please. Leave the past in the past where it should be buried. I'm not having U withering away so easily after all the hard work i put into fixing U back to one piece. It's not Karma doing any of this Abhay and U know it. Stop looking for someone to blame. It's not your fault U lost your soul. That was that stupid man's fault. The King had such a small mind. He'd fed U to the lions just for what? To save his reputation. Do not go there Abhay because there's no coming back. Who's going to save Pia from her self destructive mode? I can only do so much. Abhay i'm not as powerful as U are led to believe U know. I know Maithali being back brings back all the memories flooding back but if U think this is bad wait till she fully gains control of Pia then we'd have one hell of a fight. Abhay tilts his head up to face Tara-This is all such a disaster. I'm sandwiched between two women. One trying to be a martyr the other is a huntress overtaking her prey. Saving one from the other is where the problem lies. I'm worried what all this will do to Pia? While Maithali can handle whatever is thrown at her.

Tara began to see another element to Abhay's fears as she suddenly stood up-Why didn't i see this before? You're worried Pia will discover what U are. Pia in the living room keeping herself occupied searched for answers related to Abhay. He was lying about what occurred the night before. He was a master of deception but Pia knew better than to believe anything that came out of his mouth. Lying was second nature to Abhay. So what could she do? Pia typed in Self healing and clicked enter. A list of sites came up on screen from super soldiers, mutants, wiccan magic, shapeshifters to vampires. Silver allergies was the next thing she typed in this time she clicked on Wikipedia Lycanthropy where a human has the power to transform into an animal. Mostly caused by hereditary genes or bitten by a Lycanthrope hence a metamorphosis occurs. Their weakness is silver according to the legends. Pia thought this maybe possible but what she saw with Abhay wasn't this at all. He had razor sharp teeth and he didn't mutate into an animal. So Pia went to the previous page this time clicking on several pages on werewolves. Boy this was going to take forever. The sites were never-ending. How many to read through? She started from the top. Hmmmmm Ok Vampires were called Nosforatu in Romanian or Preth aatma in Shudh hindi. They were creatures of the night. Their origins are unknown due to so many legends and stories spread around the world. They are the walking dead that survived on blood to function as their own system killed any bloodcells they had so needed to drink from others to exist. They had healing powers just like werewolves. Vampires had the natural gift of drawing any living person towards them and falling into their charms just be looks alone as they were Vampires are prone to experiencing enhanced emotions. Love, anger, despair, revenge feelings they may have had when Human, heighten exponentially when they "turn". The drive to impulsively act on these emotions can be very hard to control, especially for new vampires. Pia went on another site and read Vampires had powers like speed, their sense were on alert at all times unless in distress, fast reflexes, jumping from height, climbing up anything, mind compulsion, resilient to pain, mind reading to an extent. Weaknesses were ranging from sunlight well Abhay can go out in the sun, invitations well she didn't know about that, Holy water, garlic, Religious symbols, Silver. The only way to kill a vampire was to stake them or beheading them. Pia didn't like the sound of that. To become a vampire one would have to have nearly all their blood drained out until they were near death only then would the vampire have to give some of their blood and let the transformation take place. Then death consumes them and voila a vampire is born. It was on the Indian website she'd read about teh silver. Man was this even possible? Did either species even exist? Witches existed that she saw from experience but this was too much. Pia logged off. Thinking deep. Maithali was quiet which wasn't a good sign. She knew something for sure about Abhay but wasn't sharing. Pia thought this made more sense but she wasn't going to test any of these methods on Abhay. She wasn't sadistic. No way was she going to harm Abhay. No she was going to hurt herself. Abhay always managed to save her. Maybe he'd save her again from danger and if not well Maithali would just for a body. Not like she had anything to lose. Pia was being overly nosy but when it came to Abhay that was all that ever mattered. She didn't even come into the equation. Pia thought she'd heard Maithali laugh in her head. Was it her imagination? Pia was bored so she stepped out and saw Tara was asleep. Poor thing. She must be shattered by all the fatigue from the previous night trying to rescue her Pia thought. How did she manage to make a nuisance by troubling all her friends Pia was getting pi**ed off at herself for creating this much ruckus in their lives. It was appalling as it was by how much suffering poor Abhay was going through thanks to her entering his life. Now she only added to his troubles with Maithali in the fold. It just seemed like no matter what Pia did it all flopped big time. All Pia wanted was for everyone to come away with what they wanted. Abhay with the woman he loved even if it was with Maithali. Her friends happiness. Maithali being free from whatever burden she was carrying. Pia ventured away from the farmhouse past the fields where the pond was to just think. Being around Abhay had hurt her head. Her vivid imagination ran wild with the assumption Abhay was far from human. Pia saw her own reflection in the water and saw strange eyes peeping back. Pia didn't recognize the eyes staring back at her. The few months had changed Pia and she feared the worst. What she looked at was someone she didn't like. A busy body. Why did she have to butt in other peoples life? Abhay was her life but did that give her the right to know everything about him? if he wanted to keep his private life private he was entitled to it. Then Pia saw a dark figure approach her from behind. She wasn't scared of gim it was Abhay she'd felt it. Pia tried to look at the water before her to see if there was a reflection. One theory crossed off from her suspicions. Abhay was handsome as ever. Pia saw she was nowhere near worthy of being with Abhay. Her was perfection personified like Adonis. Abhay sat down beside her on the grass watching what it was that had Pia away with the fairies.

Pia broke the stillness in the air peering at Abhay-How did U find me?

Abhay cracked a half hearted smile as if it was obvious in his sarcastic voice-How do i always find U Pia? Come on we've done this enough times now. Where U go i follow remember.

Pia knew Abhay always knew where Pia was but how did he do it really?-U tell me Abhay. Just humour me with a plausible answer.

Abhay saw Pia's eyes were fixed on his daring him to answer her-I don't know. We are on the same frequency. Same wavelength i guess. Maybe when whoever created us made us already tuned with the other. Come on U know better than i do that we don't make any sense. Honestly all of this is out my comfort zone. If i had to compare us it would be a Rubik's cube or a complex maze where nobody ever comes out.

Abhay knew what Pia meant he played with the reflection throwing little stones-I know but U aren't Pia that's why i said what i did. Abhay searched into Pia's eyes as her eyes were dilated a little. He calmed down-Pia what's going on? Is it her?

Pia shook her head getting her breathing normal again-I don't know what it was. I had the three of us for some reason Abhay. How is this possible?

They both head back to the farmhouse where the other's had woken up. They'd made a start on dinner with Pizza and pasta and plenty of Cola. Kabir sorted out the steaks on the grill. Abhay zoomed past into the kitchen for some aspirin for Pia. It would settle her migraine. He brought her some water and made her take it. Kabir saw Pia was on the mend he smiled at her. Misha and Rosa were watching Tv while Tracker and Angad were squabbling over who had the better physique between Abhay and Kabir. Angad fought in Kabir's corner while Tracker was behind Abhay all the way. Tracker wondered how she'd ever snap a guy like Abhay under her charms. No men were ever interested in her. It was always T they were after and now Pia had two of the hottest eligible bachelors running after her beck and call. Kabir as usual was on his mission to win Pia while Abhay was playing the hard to get card. It was working a treat on Pia she was putty in his hands running after him like a love sick puppy. Tracker's head hurt thinking so hard. None of these methods worked on her. Nobody paid interest in her for her to even play hard to get so she played easy. Even then it got her in trouble. Angad wished Misha would look his way atleast once but no she wasn't looking at anyone. He was concerned one day a guy or a girl would come out of the radar and take her away from him. This would be the end of him. Angad couldn't even ask Kabir the poor bloke was struggling with winning his lady Pia over. Abhay was having more luck with the ladies than any guy in college. Angad pondered on what his trick was. In a span of a few months Abhay had won over all the girls apart from Misha and Panchi. Then again he'd admitted the Dobrial's were a special case.

Pia to the rest of the group-I'm going to go lie down for a bit not hungry. Will U save me something in the Oven please? I think these pills are taking effect.

Kabir was disappointed he'd made a treat for her. Maybe grilled but it was healthy-OK Pia see U later Ok. Sweet dreams.

Pia smiled-Enjoy your meal.

Abhay watched Pia go to her room for a rest. He saw the others eat. He wasn't able to eat anyway so he stayed clear. He opened a bottle of Gin from the cabinet. He took in the scent of the liquer. Good quality was a few years old. It would suffice to keep the pangs away. He needed blood from somewhere. Tara's blood tasted yuck thanks to the vampire blood she drank to keep her young and powerful. He wasn't risking Pia at all cost. She was dangerous for him. Plus he feared it would unleash Maithali out of the bottle she was trapped in. For now he savoured the taste of booze. Abhay listened in on the banter revolving around Pia. They were all concerned for her. Rightly so noticing her weird behaviour didn't take a rocket scientist to see something was wrong.

Kabir to Misha, Tracker, Rosa and Angad-Pia hasn't been herself since this morning. I know i haven't had a chance to have a word with her but she seems lost. Even now she wasn't interested in joining us. She slept through the whole night and here she goes for another lie down.

Angad agrees with Kabir taking a bite out of his pizza-I think she's been possessed yaar. She needs to be institutionalized and seen by a priest. She's not the same Pia.

Rosa, Tara and Abhay all sat still with Angad's statement. Tracker joined in-Could happen U know. She was alone in that haunted house.

Misha dismissed their theory-People this is the 21^st Century yo. All this bhoot preth is a load of bull. Nothings happened to Pia she's just overexerted herself with worry. She hasn't exactly led a fun filled life U know. Its not easy being alone for a long duration of ones young life. She has a knack to over do it by multi-tasking with studies, having a part time job, balancing a social life which she's never really had at the orphanage, fighting off men left right and centre namely Kabir.

Angad started on his second slice of Pizza scoffing it down quickly then added-Misha believe it or not but i was watching this movie and the girl in it was behaving exactly like Pia. We need to have her exorcised. I mean even my Mom believe in this stuff. Ask any resident round here they will tell U the same thing.

Kabir started poking fun at Angad-Pia is acting strange but U take the biscuit man with all your idiot ideas. Yeah maybe some hot ghost will go crazy for U. It's bad enough no sane girl is after U. We'll go back to that place just to find U someone.

Angad starts laughing nervously-Kya yaar. I was only just saying Pia maybe possessed and U are cursing me to end up with a ghost.

Abhay thought for a boy short of a few brain cells Angad was right on the money but of course the young generation didn't believe in such things. It was one thing Abhay had been glad about making it easier for his kind to keep their existence concealed from the world. Hell those who knew about them didn't survive without the approval of the Old ones. Its the only reason he had to keep Pia away from the whole truth on what Abhay was. He didn't want Pia to despise him but this would make it straightforward in the long run. Her obsession would mount to nothing. If only it was that simple. He didn't ever want to think of the outcome to his questions. He'd feared them. If he'd lost Pia he didn't bear to think how he'd cope. It wasn't fair on her either he'd finished in his mind her knowing the full extent of how messed up he was in oscillating between Maithali and Pia wasn't fair on her. He was the real villain in Pia's life not Maithali just him. didn't matter what Tara thought it didn't change anything. Angad had a point. Pia needed a priest all right but again any religious sage would know straight away the supernatural were in play. Thus arising more complications. He saw Tara watching him with keen alert eyes at his sudden thoughts shaking her head in disapproval.

Misha give Angad her trademark frown-Angad, Kabir was just messing. U are so easy to wind up. I'm sure he didn't mean it. Hurry up eating then we can get packing to leave. Tell him Kabir before U start an outbreak of the crazies with Angad and Tracker. (Misha eyeball Kabir to put Angad and Tracker from worrying.)

Kabir laughed off-Angad bro i was just teasing U. No such thing as ghouls Ok. Tracker don't U start now.

Tracker smiles excited-Do U think there really is a prince ghost waiting for me back there. Oh so romantic na. I'd love it if he was waiting for me through eternity. Pure love. Do U think love like that exists. Rosa U can read the future right? Do u think i'll ever find a love like that? Anyone will do! I see Abhay and feel envious of all the girls he's been with. Yet he hasn't found the one. Kabir has tasted love before. No point with Misha the girl has a repulsion to love. She doesn't even notice anyone. Angad runs after a ghost. Will i ever find love?

Rosa shakes her head out of annoyance. She had better things to reflect on than discuss Trackers non-existent love life-U know Tracker all good things come to those who wait. While those who are consumed by their indelible resistance to forget those long gone and not accept what's in front of them will burn for eternity for love is here nor there.

Abhay off his feet snapping at Rosa-What are U insinuating witch? Spit it out. I know U want to.

Tara watched Abhay sulk-I'm disappointed in U Abhay. What's got into U?

While everyone was busy with their own squabbled Pia had already left the farmhouse in a trance towards the Qila one last time. It wasn't Pia in control but Maithali searching for what was hidden in the walls. It was a distress call to her people. Those left alive anyway. She was in search of a ring. Yeah poor Pia allowing her in was suffering but it wasn't her concern for now. She had to find what was lost. Dai Maa had done injustice to her. Her own father had done this to her. She was a spirit still struggling in this purgatory. Her love was in the farmhouse and she couldn't even be there for him in body. She had to use this wretched imitation of herself. God she hated Pia so much it burnt her insides knowing what was in her head. The chances were zero to none that this doppelganger would feel for Abhayendra the way Maithali had done. No Pia loved Abhay. Abhayendra was all hers. She'd suckered Pia into telling Abhay she meant her no harm. Maithali had nothing but hurt for this stupid girl. Eternity without him had taught her a valuable lesson that Love was never to be taken for granted. No Pia was not going to survive this onslaught of carrying two souls in her body for long. It was strange to let them out despite how much she'd wanted to in her corporal form. For the first time Maithali had felt the wind against her skin. Well Pia's skin. Damn it felt good. Her hair flying in her face. The stupid curls made her feel girly not very woman like. Finally she'd entered her old home. Her old prison. She didn't miss the place that was a definite.

Maithali went to her portrait. She took it down finding the wall concealing the ring hidden behind it. Finally. What she sought was found. It would alert them to find her. She had to stay the hell away from Abhay. She wouldn't bring them to him. they were a danger to him.
