Part 7

"How can we get married here Maan..dadima will not be happy!" Geet said to Maan'he held her hand and said "Geet...dadima will be happy for us...and what's the worst that's going to happen? She is gonna make us get married again so she can invite the whole of Delhi" He laughed. Geet smiled knowing that it was true "Geet...i love you.." Geet shocked at hearing those three words'"and it's only you I want to spend the rest of my life with'no one else" Geet blushed.."Have you planned all this before coming here? If you have planned this then you must have a ring too! Without a ring I am not going to give you an answer!" Maan smiled and reached for his pocket and took out a small box and opened it infront of Geet.."Wow.." "Geet'will you marry me?" "Yes..!" She said quickly... Maan not "expecting such a quick reply.."Yes yes yes I'll marry you!" She hugged Maan tightly'Maan smiled and wrapped his arms around Geet. "Today I am so happy Geet...you have made me the luckiest man in the world..." Geet let go of Maan "and me the luckiest woman..." She smiled and Maan took her hand and placed the ring on her finger. "I love you!" She said softly and sat back in between Maan's legs as they sat by the warm fire and watched the calm sea.

Few hours later Geet and Maan headed back to the hotel..it had been a long day for Geet and before she knew it she had fallen asleep in the car. Maan decided not to wake her up and decided to pick her up instead. He got to their room and placed her on the bed and covered her with the duvet..he turned to walk to the bathroom and felt Geet hold onto his arm.."Where are you going?" She asked with her eyes still closed..Maan sat on the bed and touched her forehead.."I'm just going to get changed..you sleep.." "Maan..how can we get married..we don't have any witnesses here..i don't know anyone in Goa..neither do you.." "You don't worry about that..tomorrow you will surely become Mrs.Khurana" Geet smiled at the thought of being Mrs.Khurana. "Come back quick!" She said and he leaned down and kissed her forehead "I'll be back in a tick.." Maan went and got changed and returned to get into bed..he laid behind Geet and put his arm around Geet's waist and before he knew he was too out for the night.

Next morning Maan was awake before Geet and thought it was a perfect chance to make a phone call..he picked up his mobile and make a call.. "Hello Khurana Constructions..Adi speaking".."Adi..it's me MK" "M-M-Maan Sir..g-g-good morning Sir how can I help you t-t-today?" he stuttered.."Adi..i need a client's number..text me it to my mobile as soon as possible.." "Y-y-yes sir..which client?" Maan informed Adi which client's number he needed and waited for the text to arrive. Maan's phone went off and the text had arrived and smiled.."great!" he said and made the phone call. When Maan had finished his call Geet woke up "Who was that..?" She asked.."Just a client..good morning!" He kissed her head.."Sleep well?" "Mmm one of the best nights sleep!" "Good..now hurry and get ready we need to go somewhere!".. "Where?" she asked. "That you will find out when we get there! So hurry up after all we are getting married today!" Geet smiled and got up to get ready. Maan too got changed in the bedroom whilst Geet was in the bathroom..he opted for a white tight half sleeve shirt with a few buttons un done which showed off the taveez and faded blue jeans. In the bathroom Geet dressed herself in a white sleeveless salwar kameez and smiled knowing that Maan would be happy that she was wearing white. She kept the jewellery minimal, wearing only silver jhumkas she let her wet hair dry naturally which turned into nice long curls. "Geet are you ready?" He yelled.."we don't have much time today!" "I'm coming I'm coming!" She said as she opened the door and walked out trying to safety pin her dupatta to her suit. Maan turned around and was mesmerized but what was stood before him. He saw Geet struggling with the safety pin and walked up to her to help her. He stopped her hand and took over.."You said you hadn't packed a white suit.." "I was angry when I said that.." she said turning her head the other way.."I knew you would pack a white suit..because I know that seeing me happy'makes you happy.." he said and pinned her dupatta for her. She went and stood infront of the mirror to make sure she was all set "I'm looking ok?" She asked.."You're looking a million dollars..just two things are missing.." "Two things she asked?" "Yes..sindoor in your parting and a mangalsutra around your neck..those two things I will fulfill for you tonight" He smiled and watched Geet blush.

Maan took Geet's hand and made their way out of the hotel and into the car.."Where are we going then?" she asked.."You'll find out shortly.." Maan said as they headed for the road..what seemed 30 minutes later the arrived outside a big bungalow. "This bungalow looks familiar.." Geet said but thought she was being stupid since she had never been to Goa.."Come Geet." Maan said and held her hand is they walked up to the front door and pressed the door bell..Geet wondering where they had come and whom they were possibly meeting. The door opened and 2 people walked out.."Mr. Khurana! Miss.Geet welcome!" Both of them said at the same time.. "Good morning Mr and Mrs. DeMello." Geet smiled "Good morning" she said "Why are you stood outside come..come inside!" Geet and Maan both went inside and looked around the bungalow.."Wow..what a beautiful house" Geet said.."Of course it's beautiful after all this was all your idea Geet.." Rose said'Maan to was impressed with his companies work and Geets' input to the project.

"So Mr.Khurana'how did you remember us today?' He asked as they sat in the living room.."Actually..we are getting married today.." Maan said.."What??" Rose said "Congratulations!" She went up to Geet and hugged her. "We said back then that you should've got married along side us but no worries you are now congrats Maan!" DeMello said and shook Maan's hand. "But we have a problem..it's only us here in Goa so we would appreciate it if you were to be our witnesses'say return the favour?" "Why not!" He said..anything for a celebration. "To be part of such a romantic love story is enough to say yes!" Rose said. Maan smiled and Geet smiled back at him "Thank you so much!" They both said. "So Geet what are you wearing?" Geet had totally forgot that she had nothing to wear for even her own wedding.."Actually I didn't know..so I have nothing but what I have packed.." She said looking sad. "What? Nothing to wear at your own wedding? This will not do! Come I am taking you shopping!" She reached out for Geet's hand.."That's ok with you Maan? After all you want your bride to look beautiful no?" She asked.."That she is already!" Maan said.."Oh ho that is not enough on such a special day! Rose is going to work her magic! You two can sort out anything else that needs sorting! Bye!" She said as Geet followed her out and turned around to give Maan a slight wave.

Geet and Rose arrive at some bridal shops and spotted what she liked straight away.."That one.." she pointed to show Rose.."Wooooow!" she said" "I agree that is perfect! Maan today is a goner!" Geet smiled..she was few hours away from becoming Mrs. Maan Singh Khurana.
