" Finally!!!"

"Shh!! Slow down. No wonder, vo fire se uth gaye to" Rajveer speaks up.

Rajveer and Naina sat on a couch near the window of the room where they had come an hour back for baby-sitting Palak Di's children. When they entered the room, they saw two small kids crying like anything.

They tried their level best to calm them down. Four rounds of story narration and continuous caressing placed them to sleep. Now Rajveer and Naina got relief and started talking slowly obviously, as they didn't want to narrate another set of tales.

Naina: (looking out of the window) kitna sundar lagta hai na chaand..

Rajveer: (smiling) hmm…(looking at Naina) bohat!

Naina: you know…mujhe din se zyaada raatein achhi lagti hai…calm and quiet. Aur ye din! Hamesha tension se bhara hua..kaam se bhara hua…(Rajveer smiles) ek taraf vo suraj..jis ko hum seedhi aankh dekh bhi nahi sakte..uski rays chubhne ko hoti hain…aur dusri taraf ye chaand..jise dekh kar man karta hai bas dekhte hi raho..

Rajveer: lekin shayad tum bhul rahi ho, ye suraj hi hume garmi deta hai..chaaro taraf ujaala kar deta hai..ek nayi raah dikhata hai..

Naina: I know…I know that! Par phir bhi..achha chodo is topic ko…kya hum bhi ye suraj chaand ki baatein lekar baith gaye..

Rajveer: ya..let's talk about something alse…something interesting..like..umm..

Naina: like shahrukh? (eyes wide open)

Rajveer: Yeah! Shahrukh! Ye idea mere dimaag mein kyun nahi aaya. You know..i am the BIGGEST fan of Shahrukh! (getting excited)

Naina: ye idea aapke dimaag mein isiliye nahi aaya kyunki.."I" am the biggest Shahrukh fan(getting up from the couch out of excitement) I just looooveeeeeee him! Maine uski saari movies ikis-ikis baar dekhi hai…aur dil to paagal hai..OMG…53 times!! Aur..

Rajveer: (getting up from the couch) Bas!! Only 34 times..You know..maine "main hoon na" pure 62 baar dekhi hai…aur Kuchh kuchh hota hai ki to century puri ho chuki hai..

Naina: WHAT! (she couldn't believe that somebody else was an even bigger fan of Shahrukh than her)

Her "WHAT" made Arohi and Aravh call out "wwhhhaattt" in their sleep. Rajveer came closer to Naina and placed her hand over her mouth to stop her from yelling and waking the kids up. Rajveer looked at the kids and then to Naina, who was completely lost in looking at Rajveer. Rajveer also reciprocated the stare. They had an intimate eye-lock. They were centimeters apart.The intimacy was generating feelings in both Naina's and Rajveer's hearts…bodies and souls. They kept gazing each other intently and continuously, without a single blink.

But this romantic saga came to a stop as the DJs hit another track outside called.."zor ka jhatka". The sudden surfacing of the track actually gave a "zor a jhatka" to both of them, and brought them back to the world aroud them. Rajveer abruptly takes off his hand and gets away from Naina as soon as he realizes what he was doing. Naina just keeps looking down. Rajveer understands how embarrassing would it be for Naina, and takes the initiative to start away a conversation.

Rajveer: itni tez volume!! Achha hua ye bache phir se nahi uthe ( a replica of smile on his face)

Naina: haan..!(still looking down)

Rajveer: vaise tumhe ye song kaisa lagta hai.."zor ka jhatka"?

Naina: (looks up with a genuine smile on her face) actually I didn't like the song initially, because you know..I like marriages, and I believe in love. And I believe ke true love shaadi ke baad bhi utna hi strong rehta hai..par is song ke lyrics ek dum opposite hai..so I didn't like it when I first heard it. But ab maine suna hai ke shahrukh ka naya show aa raha hai (Rajveer's eyes shoot up at this) us show ka naam bhi "zor ka jhatka;' hai! So…ab mujhe itna bura nahi lagta..specially the title line.

Rajveer: Zor Ka jhatka? I didn't hear about it?

Naina: This proves that I am the biggest fan of shahrukh..who has all his information, and not you! (makes a face)

Rajveer: (smiling at her cute face) May be you are the BIGGEST fan. (Naina smiles proudly) But I am th BIGGEST of the BIGGEST!!

Naina's face turns "red" with anger, but as she looks at Rajveer's cute "crimson" cheecks, her "red" face turns "pink" again as she smiles, broad. As the colours changes, the song outside also changed. You know.."changes lead to changes".(hehe)

Whatever, the changed song also changed the atmosphere in the room. It got filled with love. Now the compounds present in the room was, LOVE OXIDE.

Rajveer: I love this song! Shall we dance? (offers his hand to Naina, who readily agrees to dance, and holds his hand)

They both start dancing on the lovely song.

They both hug each other tigtly. As the song stops, everything around them stops. They fell like there's nothing on earth more comforting and pleasant than this…than being with each other…together.

"dark" doesn't mean "black! I like him too. And I didn't compare him to an African!!
but still...i accept your amendment and I have changed "dark" from there!!

Rajveer: (clicking his fingers in front of Naina's face) Kya hua? Kaha kho gayi? I asked shall we dance?

Naina: (totally confused) What?

Rajveer: itni der se puchh raha hoon..kya hua? Tum kaha khoyi hui ho? Are you alright? Main tumhare liye paani lekar aata hoon. (goes out of the room)

Naina: *musing to herself* (sighs) ye kya ho raha hai mujhe? Main pata nahi kya kya soche jaa rahi thi. Captain Rajveer! No..no..never! (shakes her head) ye sirf vo romantic song aur shahrukh ka asar hai! Bas!

While she is making herself believe what is not to be believed, Rajveer enters the room holding a glass of water.

Rajveer: ye lo paani pee lo..(handles her the glass)

Naina takes the glass from him and drinks it in a single sip. Rajveer sees her this impulsiveness and put forwards his hand to pat her shoulder. As his hand lands on her shoulder, she moves away in a reflex. Rajveer is about to ask her what about her dissimilar behavior when they heard a sudden loud voice.

VOICE: Mummmmyyyyyyy!! Mummmyyyyyy!!

Naina and Rajveer recognized the voice and in a few jiffies, reached the bed, the source of the voice. What they see there is…a three year old girl (Arohi), much matured than her age, yelling, as loud as she could. Beside her, laid a sweet, again three year old boy (Aravh) dreaming in his sleep. Rajveer wondered how could someone sleep so serenly whilst the loud snivel.

Naina: (patting Arohi's head) Shh! Shh! Main hoon na..

Rajveer: pure 62 times! (Arohi stops crying and looks at Rajveer)

Naina: What?

Rajveer: I told you na..maine "main hoon na" 62 baar dekhi hai..(smiling foolishly)

Naina throws a disgusted look at Rajveer, while Arohi starts laughing. Naina gets confused at her sudden unrational laugh but however, smiles. So does Rajveer. They expected Arohi to find a silent Arohi after a few seconds, but Arohi kept laughing constantly. In order to settle her down, Naina speaks up.

Naina: Bas Arohi..chup! Aravh uth jayega na..

Arohi : Nahi uthega..vo ghode bech ke sota hai..hehe

Rajveer: I agree. (gives Arohi a high five)

Naina smiles, seeing a friendly Rajveer, looking cuter than ever. The beautiful smile playing his lips was the most stunning sight, she experienced in her whole life. She was getting attracted to him like an iron piece to a magnet.

The "bogged down in her thoughts" Naina, returns back to the world, as soon as she realizes what she was thinking. She clenches her fists and curses herself for thinking so much about him. In her mind, she swears not to think about Rajveer in that way, ever ..ever!! But this resolution got wasted and she was forced to think about him again in THAT way, at Arohi's words.

Arohi: aap dono Mom-dad ho? (looking cutely at Rajveer and Naina)

Naina and Rajveer share embarrassed looks and then Naina looks down, not daring to look at Rajveer. Because so far she has understood that her normal "look" at Rajveer, does not take much time to become a "gaze".

Arohi: bolo na…aap dono bhi mommy-daddy ho kya?

Rajveer: (hesitatingly) tum kya…kya bol rahi ho?

Arohi: offo! Aap ko to kuchh bhi nahi pata.."mommy-daddy"..idiot! I mean kya aap don one bhi round and round rounds liye the..fire ke around? (getting annoyed)

Rajveer: NAHI..aisa kuch nahi hai bacha..(taking Arohi in his lap) hum dono to sirf..umm..

Naina: friends hain..(looking at Arohi, not facing Rajveer)

Rajveer: (looking at Naina, who's looking at Arohi) yeah! "Friends"! (smiles)

Arohi: Oh! Achha Rajveer bhaiya..aapki koi GF hai?

Rajveer: GF matlab?

Arohi: matlab Girlfriend..

Rajveer: (uncomfortably) umm…nahi..

Arohi: What? Sach mein nahi hai? (Rajveer shakes his head) Kabhi bhi nahi thi? (Rajveer again shakes his head) Aur Naina masi? (Naina gets a sudden shock ) Aapka koi BF hai ya pehle hua ho?

Naina: (jam-packed embarrassed) na..nahi..(her nervous attitude suddenly changes into a strict masi type attitude) Arohi! Aise baatein karte hain..main Palak mom ko bolun?

Arohi: (horrified) achha sorry..sorry (holds her ears)ab nahi bolungi..

Naina: better!

Arohi: bas ek last time kuchh bolun?

Naina: mere mana karne se tum manogi kya? (Arohi shakes her head) phir? Puchha kyun?

Arohi: formality!!

Naina: bolo..

Arohi: agar aap dono single hai..to aap boyfriend-girlfriend kyun nahi ban jaate?

Naina was about to turn aggressive as somebody came in the room and prevented this. That somebody was nobody but Pooja and Palak. Naina and Rajveer takes a sigh of relief from Arohi's troubling questions.

Palak: Thanks Naina..Thanks Rajveer! In don one tang to nahi kiya na? especially Arohi?

Naina: (glaring at Arohi, who's a little terrified at her mother's sudden presence) Nahi! Bilkul bhi nahi..bahut aaram se so rahe the dono. (sarcastically) Aravh to abhi bhi so raha hai..

Palak: haan..vo bahut thaka hua tha..lekin ye Arohi to thakti hi nahi (lightly taps Arohi's shoulder)

Rajveer: Sach mein!

Palak laughs as Pooja interrupts their conversation.

Pooja: Ab chalein? Ya saari zindagi yahin baithne ka iraada hai? Pherein chal rahen hai..uske baad hum log nikal rahe hai..vaapas jaane ke liye.

Rajveer and Naina nod.
