She stood their with the intention of letting him know that she was thankful. Yet when she hugged him she felt the need to hold on longer, and the quick hug lasted longer then she wanted. That was all she needed. That hug made her so confused and emotional. Maan seeing her state grabbed her by the shoulder and gently brought her in his embrace. She was shivering from crying so much.Maan pulled back and looked at the adults.Geet's mother and his own mother were crying, but he knew those tears were a sign of relief from both the sides .Mr and Mrs Khan were silently watching with a smile on their face, yet the tears were very visible. Finally after 2 tissue boxes, the family had calmed down.Maan looked at Geet as she was looking towards the fireplace. Wanting to clear up things Maan decided to talk, but Geet interrupted him. Her eyes were speaking volumes today. She took a deep breath and began talking.
"I need to tell you the significance of Ali.I-I need to tell you the significance of this sindoor.so please hear me out. Let me tell you about that sindoor and where it cam from."Geet said as her eyes focused on Maan's face. She closed her eyes and bega her story.

"Geeeeeeeeeetttttttt"A eleven year old Ali yelled coming in to the big Mansion.
"Ali,tum yell kyon kar rahe ho!Aur aaj itni deir se aye ho!You know I am so bored yaar"Geet said runing to hug him.

"Ali I told you na,do not spend so much money on me."Geet said but wondered what he had brought her
"Arre tum chup ho jayo!marte dam thak main apni pyari si dost ke liye presents laonga.Acha chalo close your eyes"Ali said before putting his hands on her eyes and putting the bag in her other hand.
"Ali this better be good"Geet said as she opened the box,only to be shocked as to what she saw.
"Geet yeh sindoor hai,mujhe yeh nahi patha ke mere naseeb main aur zindagi likhi hai ya nahi, per I want a promise from you.Geet ishe sindoor main,maine itni duaien bari hain ke tumhe kot bhi chote nai poncha sakhta.Jo shaqs isme se tumein sindoor lagaye ga wooh tumhe bohot pyar kere ga.Who tumein hamesha kush rakhe ga.Kiyon ke who hum dono ke rishte ko janke tumhein apnaye ga.Who insaan bohot mushily ke baad mile ga.Magar usko kabhi kona nai.Usko bohot pyar dena Geet.Waada karo ke ise sindoor ko tumhe apne paas rakho gi.Aur jab wooh tumein apna rah ho ga usko yeh na batna ke ise sindoor ki kiya hasiyat hai tumhari zindagi main.Aur meri Allah se yeh dua hai ke tumhe jiski bhi dulhan bano usko itna kush rakho ke duniya keh sakein.Wooh dekh,wooh ja rahi hai world ki best biwi."Ali said,geet silently cried hoping that Ali would always be by her.
"Ali main waada kerti hoon."Geet said as she hugged him
PRESENT
"Aur ushe din se yeh sindoor mere paas hamesha raha.Maine hamesha apni zindagi eik ase bande ke naam ki,jisne mujhe sirf kushi di.Aur aaj main jise moor per keri hoon,ishe mor per maine soocha bhi nahi tha main keri hoon gi.Maine soocha bhi nahi tha ke main ushe insaan ko doond paongi jo mujhe kush rakh sakhe ga.Magar main aap logon per boojh nahi bana chati Sanaya mama.Main apki cooti si duniya ko apne ghum se nahi barna chati.Haan agar aap ne accept ker liya hai toh apko yeh bata doon,main best bahu zaroor banoongi.Main ushe insaan ko bohot kushi rakhongi jisne mujhe apnaya hai.Aur dekho na Ali bhi kush hai."Geet said as she wiped her tears away.
Everyone sat with a blank expression ,but only one person was smiling. …Maan.Maan sat their knowing she had accepted him. He looked at his mother before he went to geet and sat down in front of her.He took her hands and gently caressed it.
"Geet I want you to know that I will be by your side being your everything. You are my world now. I want to fill your eyes with happiness. I want you to realize that there is more to life then tears. I want you to treat me like a friend more then a husband. I want to meet Ali.I want to go to his grave for blessing. Would you allow me too. Will you let me share a friend with you.Geet tell me do you want to come with me now?" He asked.
"you would do that for me?You would like to share Ali with me?You want to get to know him.Maan I-I really want to enter your house as a bahu now, but will your family let me. I mean has your mother accepted me."Geet said as Maan's mother realized she had not uttered a word.
"of course bahu.My favourite bahu.I want you too come home with us. Please ask your mom if you can.I want all the time with you, and then at the end I want to have a grand wedding. Is that okay with you?"Geet looked at her before her before her mother spoke.
"Yes, she will live with you. Promise Sanaya you will take care of her.Bohot ziddi hai.Magar agar yeh eik cheez ko chahti hai toh hamesha dil se chahti hai."Sanaya went and hugged Shilpa.
"Maa,maine ali se promise kiya tha ke,time ane per main unke parents ko Pakistan behj doon gi"Mr and Mrs Khan looked surprised.
"Magar beta hum kaii-"Mrs khan said before geet put her finger on her lips.
"Apna witan,apna hi hota hai choti maa.Aap logon ne bohot pyar diya.Magar ab apko aur saza nahi denge.Maine chahti hoon ke aap meri shaadi ke baad wapas chalein jayen."Geet said
"Theek hai beta,as you wish"Mr Khan said.
Maan came to geet and offered his hand to her. She looked at him before smiling and taking his hand. He looked at his mother and told her it was getting late.Sanaya had told them to wait, as she told her family to prepare for a their Bahu's arrival. Sanaya had heard cheers from the other end, as Mr Khurana told her that all the son's and their wives were running around in happiness. She had smiled before they bid their goodbye.
She sat in the car quietly gazing out the window, her heartbeat raced as she felt warm hands upon hers. She blushed. Wait she blushed? Wow that was new, she looked at Maan who was driving with one hand. He looked at her missing her rudeness. Gently he brought her hand to her mouth and watched Geet's eyes widen. He smiled knowing what she was about to say.
"What? Can't I kiss my wifey"Maan said as his mother covered her mouth so she would not laugh.
"woh,nahi.maine toh kuch nahi kaha."Geet said feeling confused, she had never felt this way before.
"acha so you like me kissing you then?" Maan said smiling at his mom from the rear view mirror,
"Aram se ghari chalo Maan si-"Geet said before Maan covered her mouth.
"its Maan."maan said winking at her,Maan's mother looked at him surprised Maan was the last person she knew who would flirt like that.
"Oh look we are home"Maan said.
"Yeh apka ghar hai?"
"Mera sirf nahi,yeh ab tumhara bhi ghar hai.err Let me warn you,my family is quite comical so do not mind them.

"Main smajhi apki family,apki tarah karus hogi"Geet said before she looked away and heard Maan's mother let out a laugh
"Acha toh main tumhein karus lagta hoon"

"Sabse bari Mrs Khadoos toh tum ho."
"Sanaya Mama apka khadoos beta mujhe tang ker raha hai.
"Beta hum andher chalein.Werna meri family bechari window se dekh dekh ker thak jayegi."Geet turned around to see people watching them from the house.
