PART 8

Riddhima was staring at her ring when she said 'i love you' to Armaan on phone.
Even after the call was disconnected she continued to stare at her ring... She walked to her bed and soon fell asleep while fiddling with the ring.

Days passed by. Just two more days for the wedding.

They all left to Goa. One the eve of the wedding night Riddhima missed Sid a lot. She found it really hard to breathe. The feeling of being someone else's wife kept playing in her mind... After being Mrs. Riddhima Modi for almost a year she is gonna be Mrs Riddhima Malik. "Mrs Riddhima Malik" she thought "
"Mrs Riddhima Malik... I remember waiting for this day like anything a year back... But it doesn't sound good anymore..."
She took out Sid's white shirt from the cupboard went to the restroom and changed to his shirt. She felt really comfortable in it. His presence acted like a tranquilizer for her. She wished to talk to him the... He took out her mobile and tried the number from which he used to call, but couldn't get through.. She tried a couple of times more but still couldn't get through... soon she drifted to sleep.
Constant ringing of the phone woke her up at around 1am in the morning.
She was in half sleep when she received the call..

"Hello..? Riddhima.. Riddhimaa are you alright?

Riddhima : "Hello?"

"Riddhima...! Can you hear me?? You ok? Are you fine"?

Riddhima : "Sid is that you?"

Sid : "Yeah! How are you? Are you ok"?

Riddhima : Sid Sid! I am fine! You sound so worried what happened??

Sid : "I dunno... i felt you were in some kinds trouble... so just called to check if everything is fine..."

Riddhima was so moved by his words that she needed few minutes to regain her composure.

Riddhima : "Sid.... I am getting married tomorrow..."

There was a silence at either ends.

Sid : "Congratulations Riddhima... I hope you have a happy life..." His voice broke at the end of it..

Riddhima felt immense pain in her throat as she tried to talk.. After trying for a bit she gave up and ended up humming in response to whatever Sid said..

Sid : Good night Riddhima....

Riddhima thought over and over again about all the time she spend with Armaan & Sid... She finally fell asleep by 4 in the morning.

She got up at 7. The ceremony is scheduled at 10am. Since they were staying in the beach house the wedding place was hardly 10 minutes. Riddhima took her sweet time to change into the white gown.. For half an hour she fought with herself to remove Sid's shirt which she was wearing. She felt so good when the shirt clinged to her bare body. Finally when she managed to remove the shirt she felt as thou a part of her body was being cut through.
At 9.30 they all left the beach house. They reached the beautifully decorated aisle and stage at 9.45. Armaan was waiting for his bride in a well knit Armaani Tux. He just couldn't take his eyes off from Riddhima who looked stunning in the white gown..!

Armaan thinking "Finally!! I have won! I have won the hard fought battle! I have won my girl back! Nobody can separate us after this! Not even God! hmm.. well may be just god.. but then no one else!" He smiled with a self pride and a satisfaction of getting what he wanted.

Shashank made her walk down the isle.

Riddhima seemed to be involved in some hardcore thinking. It looked as though she din't care rather is not aware what's happening around her. She was LOST in her thoughts. Riddhima finally reached the stage and stood next to Armaan. Her eyes refused to meet Armaan's instead was fixed on his forehead. At least that's how it looked to others. Riddhima was once again playing the reel of her life so far, in the vacuum. And once again the smile was back! Armaan felt so relieved then

The minister started the ceremony.

"Dearly Beloved, we are gathered together here in the sign of God ' and in the face of this company ' to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony.Marriage is the union of husband and wife in heart, body and mind. It is intended for their mutual joy ' and for the help and comfort given on another in prosperity and adversity. But more importantly ' it is a means through which a stable and loving environment may be attained."

After the brief it was time to take the oath.

Minister to the groom (Armaan) "Repeat after me".

Armaan : I, Armaan Malik, take you, Riddhima Gupta, to be my friend, my lover, the mother of my children and my wife). I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to care and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you, for all eternity.

It's the brides turn now.

Minister : "Repeat after me"

Riddhima : I, Riddhima Modi, take you, Siddhant Modi..!

There was an unprecedented silence among the crowd gathered.

Riddhima realized her MISTAKE and apologized to Armaan for the same immediately.
Armaan tried hard so as to keep the smile on his face from fading. He was SO FURIOUS!!
He felt humiliated and tortured in front of his family and friends. He even saw a few giggling! It was like a volcano inside him was heating up which would burst soon after the ceremony.

The minister asked "Shall i continue...?"

Armaan still staring at Riddhima said "Yes, please"

Minister was gonna prompt again when they saw an old fellow calling Riddhima's name and running towards them. Everyone looked at the man who was in his mid 50's!

Old man: Riddhima Modi...?

Everyones eyes now followed where Riddhima was standing.

She got down from the stage and walked towards the man.

Riddhima : Yes..?

Old man : "Aah finally! I have been looking for you everywhere since couple of days!"

Riddhima : What is it?

Old Man : The divorce deed. Sign is missing..

Riddhima : But he did sign in it..!

Old man : He did... but you didn't!

Riddhima : Does that mean i am still married to Sid....??

Old man : Only if you want to...!

Now there was a buzz going on among the crowd.

Armaan by then came and stood next to the two.

Armaan to Riddhima : "You didn't sign!"??

Riddhima : She drifted her eyes away from him and though to herself "God what's happening.. what's all this...!

Armaan took out a pen from his pocket and handed over to her. "Here Sign" The way he said that really scared Riddhima! She felt so scared of the man who was standing next to her.. The man who will be her husband soon! She obeyed him and took the pen..

The old man showed the space where she has to sign... She started fidgeting with the pen while looking at the paper and then back at Armaan... After the conflict between her heart and her mind she finally gave up. Her heart won over her mind!.. she couldn't take it anymore.! She left the pen on the paper and looked into Armaan's eyes. The anger in Armaan's eyes had made way for fear... fear of losing..!

Riddhima continued : Armaan... i am sorry i cant marry you.... Yes i was madly and crazily in love with you but when you left me in Panchgani after leaving that note... i almost died... in fact i was dead inside...! It wasn't just you... but you walked away with the broken pieces of my heart as well...! But God had a better plan for me... He send me an angel from heaven to take care of me... That angel filled the missing pieces of my heart with his own... When he too left ... the pieces also vanished again and the empty spaces of my heart was back... I tried to fill it up with yours but it doesn't match anymore...! It's over.... We are over....! And now i know these missing pieces can be filled only with the pieces of one man's heart... My husbands... My Siddhant Modi... and i am bring him back in my life...!
I am sorry.. and i am saying it with a clear conscious a clear mind and a clear head... that i am irresistibly and inseparably in love with my husband... my Sid... and i wanna spend the rest of my life with him and not anyone else! If it's not him then it's none! But in this life if i am gonna be someones wife it will be Siddhant Modi's! Whatever happened between us in the tent is unfortunate! It should have never happened It's nothing but a MISTAKE! I hope you understand this and move on in life...! I am sorry...!
She then turned to the gathering and said

"I am sorry you all...! Now if you all will excuse me i am on my way to Houston to get my groom"!! With that Riddhima left the place running, leaving behind her parents who are in cloud nine and a dejected Armaan!

Two days later she was in the flight to Houston! Riddhima just couldn't stop blushing! She kept dreaming of her grand re-union with Sid. A woman's voice brought her back to reality.

"Hii, where you off to?"

Riddhima : "Houston" The word brought the blushes back on her face.

"Hey "me too..!!" By the way my name is Tamanna, and you...?"

"It's Riddhima.."! she answered still smiling!

Note: Guys!! I know Sid has been missing from my last two parts but i assure you our dude will be back with a bang in the next part!!! 😉

amazing👏 you are an amazing writter, when i ws reading this,i could picture it in front of my eyes, ewverything was so visiable, only if you were the writter if dmg then that women, we would have been gotten justice! wonderful! contuine soon and can shilpa be the one who loves sid lol i just love sidshi scene!
