Chapter One
Kripa stared at her diary. The very first entry she had made, back in 2007, grade 6. She had written how she was sick of her mother taking her brother's side the most and was also so sick of how her aunt bossed her around all the time. She was sick of all those fights that happened in her family. And she was sick of her best friend ignoring her for others.
Kripa shook her head sighing. That was then and this was now. Here she was in London, her birth place as a sucessful psychologist. She was startled out of her dream world when there was a knock on her door. "Come in." Kripa called sitting up straight in her chair. "Miss. Sharma?" Lola, her secretory said walking in. "Hi Lola." Kripa greeted her formally. Lola smiled and put a file down on Kripa's desk. "Miss.Sharma this is your new patient." Kripa stared at the red file for a moment. "Okay. You can go." Kripa muttered. Lola walked out the door quietly closing it behind her. Kripa opened up the file and stared at the first page that had a picture of a man around the age of 24. Beside his picture was his name, age, profession and other personal details. Kripa picked up the phone when it rung. "Hello?" Kripa said. "Miss.Sharma?" She heard on the other end. "Yes." Kripa said to the manly, deep voice. "I'm Angad Khanna." Said the person on the other end. Kripa looked at the first page of the file that had the exact name on it. "Hello Angad. Is there someway i could help you? You're appointment with me is tomorrow." Kripa informed him. A quiet chuckle sounded from the other side. "Of course. My appointment." Angad said bitterly. "Well i'll see tomorrow then Miss.Sharma." Angad said hanging up. Kripa put the phone down and scanned through Angad Khanna's file.
His father had reccomended the classes Kripa noted. She glanced at her clock and closed her file. Time to go home, Kripa thought. She hated going home and facing her dysfunctional family.

Once Kripa entered her house, her dad was sitting in front of the TV with a bottle of alcohol in his hand. Kripa shook her head. If her father didn't get his alcohol by 7 then he'd freak and throw a fit and thats the reason why he needed dinner layed out by 6 which always resulted in Kripa eating alone. She said a quick hello to her father who replied with a grim hello back. Kripa entered the kitchen and warmed up her dinner and sat down to eat. After Kripa was done, she walked back to the living room and this time her mom was sitting in front of the TV as well. Her little brother Armaan sat on the other couch reading some magazine. Kripa took a seat beside her brother and waited for her mom's usual questions. "How was work Kripa?" Her mother asked. "Great." I muttered. She nodded and faced the TV once again. Kripa sat there like a statue pretending to be interested in the TV, for a whole hour. At 9:00 sharp, Kripa stood up and said a quick goodnight to her parents and then walked to her room. She grabbed her pyjamas and took a 15 minute shower and then slid into bed. She closed her eyes and smiled. This was her favourite moment at home. The moment where she could just close her eyes and fade to her dream world and forget the world. She smiled sweetly as the best dream of her dreams floated in her subconscious mind. Her sweet dream...her prince charming.
