"What's up with you"? Shilpa asked noticing Sukirti's gloomy face.

"I was thinking of '. You know asking Karan about what he thinks about our marriage" Sukirti replied.

"Why are you sad because of that?" Shilpa questioned.

"Because I don't know if he wants the same thing or not", Sukirti mumbled.

"Of course he does. He loves you"

"I know but marrying someone is different."

"Well I think he's going to be thrilled if you talk about it with him."

"I guess"

"Trust me he will".

"What are you guys talking about?" Karan asked pressing buttons of his phone.

"Nothing," Sukirti said getting up from the bench.

"Oh, come on I know you guys were talking about something", Karan uttered.

"Ladies talk Karan", Shilpa joked.

"Fine if you don't want to tell me", Karan said jumping over the bench Sukirti was earlier sitting on.

Shilpa chuckled a bit and left the room saying bye.

"So what were you guys talking about"? Karan asked again.

"We were talking about how the new doctor in the children's ward is really cute", Sukirti chortled.

"Really?" Karan asked.

"Really", Sukirti mimicked.

"If he's cute then I'm hot", Karan protested.

Sukirti laughed a little and tapped Karan's forehead. Karan gave her a sweet smile.

"Then what's the problem"? Karan quipped. He sensed something was wrong. If it was nothing she wouldn't avoid the matter.

"I was thinking", Sukirti began.

"That's a first", Karan joked.

"Ha ha", Sukirti let out a fake laugh. "Anyways, I was thinking about us, especially after Mayank proposed Drashti. You know thinking about our marriage", she finished flashing a smile.

Karan looked away from her and went to his locker.

"Karan?" Sukirti called out apprehensively. Sukirti hoped Karan wouldn't react the way she had feared. But maybe it was still a little early to think about this so Sukirti just let it go.

"Sukirti, I haven't really thought about the subject", Karan mumbled still facing away from Sukirti. He didn't really want to upset her by telling her the truth. Sukirti remained silent wondering why he thought that way. She moved forward and put her hand on his shoulder. Karan nervously turned around fearing her answer. Instead her lips curved and he relieved a sigh. Sukirti softly touched his cheeks.

"I can't tell you the reason yet", Karan continued. "But I do know that I want to spend the rest of my life with you", he finished. Sukirti yet again remained quiet. Karan didn't like it when Sukirti was quiet because that always meant something was bothering her. He also knew that Sukirti would anything but talk about it.

"Hey" Karan said when he saw her turning away from him. "I love you."

"And I love you" Sukirti remarked.

They both went to the children's ward after that. Karan was thinking about the new doctor that Sukirti had told him about.

Just a moment after they entered Pankit called out Sukirti's name. She turned around and went to him. No one was there so she thought it wouldn't be a problem.

"What happened?" Sukirti asked her brother.

"I heard you talked to Karan about you guys", he replied eager for her answer. Sukirti couldn't believe his words.

"Who told you that?" Sukirti barked.

'Don't yell at me, what do you expect if you tell your best friend about it", he replied using the same tone as Sukirti.

"He didn't react much to it", she replied but wanting to change the subject.

"Oh I'm sorry", Pankit showed his sympathy. He slightly hugged Sukirti then let her go.

"It's not that big of a deal, it came as a sudden to him", Sukirti defended Karan. 'Wait, who else knows", she asked thinking about the ways she could kill Shilpa.

"Well I was with Shweta", he answered.

"I have to go back", she said turning around.

"Sukirti wait", she heard yet another voice calling her. This time she didn't turn around. "Did he change his mind yet"? Drashti asked going around facing Sukirti. Sukirti's face told her she was annoyed as hell so Drashti quietly walked away.

When she walked back in the children's ward she saw Karan and a doctor shaking hands.

"It's about time you got here", Karan said smirking.

"Sorry I was '"

"It's okay", the doctor stopped her before she could finish with her apology.
