It was morning when Huda woke up.

He went over to Naina's tent but she wasn't there.

He patted Ritu on the shoulder.

"Hey Ritu !Utho !! Kya ghode bech ke so rahi ho?? Do you know where Naina is?"

Ritu rolled her eyes.

"That girl hasn't been back all night and neither was Rajveer. She must have...."

Huda left before she could finish talking.

"Ahh!" she screamed because no one ever listened to her.

Huda called the others so they can help look for Naina but he had the feeling she was with Rajveer.

He took them to the place where Rajveer had fell.

Sure enough, there they both were.

Naina was sleeping comfortably in Rajveer's arms.

Huda was mad.

"Naina !! Rajveer !!!!"

The yell woke up Naina and Raj.

They glanced up to see what it was.

Raj stood up.

"Hey you guys, help us out!"

Abhimanyu started laughing as he pulled Rajveer up.

Then he leaned over to help Naina up.

" Tum theek ho Nain?" , he asked.

She nodded.

"Ooo...so, Veeru??? mahashay aap....."

" Arey Veeru nahi Abhi....RAJ...ab yeh bandar sirf RAJ ke jaap se chalta hai!!! ", Aalekh teased.

" Shut up Aalekh!!", Raj said.

" Why Shut up??? ", Naveen asked , " Rajveerji ....what were you and Miss Naina doing down there all night?"

Everyone else except Huda laughed.

"Shut up, Naveen ! Hum galati se gir gaye ! And anyways, romance ke liye main aisi horrible jagah nahi chununga...isse better jagah pata hai mujhe. let's go home," Rajveer said to the others.

It was evening by the time Raj and Naina got home.

He was exhausted so he took a shower and headed straight for bed.

He looked over at Naina's room, who was exactly across from his. Her lights were out so she must be asleep.

Raj sat down on his desk and began writing in his diary.

He had kept one ever since he was ten and he wrote in it whenever something came up. When he finished his entry, he turned off his lights and went to sleep too.

But he and Naina didnt know that Huda had turned up at Naina's house to talk with her parents.....

It was eleven at night when Raj woke up.

It was dark out but he couldn't sleep anymore so headed downstairs to look for something to eat. His mom was in the kitchen.

"Hi maa!! Aap abhi bhi kitchen mein?"

"Hi Veeru", She walked over to kiss him on the forehead, " Mera bachcha bhookha soya ho, toh main aur kaha ho sakti hoon?"

Raj smiled.

" How was camping?"

"It was fun."

He sat down at the table with his mom.

" WOW !!! CHINESE !!! ", he exclaimed and then began smiling looking at the noddles, as it reminded him of what Naina called his hairs...

She touched his hair and let out a sigh.

"What's wrong maa?", He began eating his noodles.

" Kuch nahi beta... It's just that you're all grown up...Ab pata nahi...."

"Don't worry maa! " , he fed her some noodles, " Aap jaanti hai na aapka Veeru aapko chodke nahi jaayega, aur I promise, jaha bhi jaaunga aapko saath leke jaaunga ! Fir Papa akele rahenge aur tab woh samjhenge ki hum unhe kitna miss karte hai!"

" Chup badmaash !!" ,His mom smiled, "I know...but Can you believe it? You and Naina...dono saath saath bade huye.... and in just two more days it will be the last time you'll ever see each other."

Rajveer choked on his food.

"What?"

"Oh didn't you know? Naina came over an hour ago and made those noodles for you. She told me she's leaving for the U.S. with her boyfriend in just 2 more days."

"Boyfriend?!"

"Yes. A boy from your class. I think his name is Huda. He came to their place in the evening and talked with their parents...I saw Naina crying, I guess her parents scold her or something. That boy wants to do further studies in US and even her parents want to take her with them...so...."

Rajveer stopped eating.

'So Naina is going to go back to Huda.', he clenched his fist , ' Aur jo kuch bhi inn 2 weeks mein hua, woh ab bhi uskeliye ek drama hi hai....'

His mom looked at his unfinished food.

"Kya hua beta??"

Rajveer shook his head, "Nothing... I'm full. I think I'll go to my room."

Rajveer went in the garden. He saw grandpa sitting on the other side of compound wall. He climbed the wall and went upto him.

" Daadu...yeh sab kya hai? Main yeh kya sun raha hoon?"

He looked up. Rajveer saw tears in his eyes.

" Daadu? Aap ro rahe ho?"

" Yeh hote kaun hai meri bachchi ko mujhse dur lejane waale? Aur tum Veer? Kya woh sab sirf natak tha?"

" NAHI." , he said firmly and Grandpa looked at him.

" Kya matlab?"

" Pehle aap mujhe jo hua, woh sab kuch batao."

" Aaj shaam woh donkey Huda aaya tha...", grandpa said and Raj chuckled.

" Phir?"

" Woh aaya aur usne bataya ki kaise tum hi woh neighbour ho jiske baaremein Naina ne unse kaha tha, kaise tum aur Naina dono drama kar rahe the aur Naina usse pehle pyaar karti thi. Isse mera beta aur bahu dono Naina par bhadak gaye aur kaha ki woh usse US lejayenge. Aur woh idiot bola ki woh 2 days ke baad job ke liye US jaa raha hai aur Naina ko bhi apne saath le jaayega. Phir pata nahi kyun, Naina bhi maan gayi."

Raj was silent.

" Veer, kuch karo.Agar tum Naina se pyaar karte ho, toh roko usse."

" Naina kaha hai?"

" Apne room mein..."

" Hmm...."

Rajveer leaned over his bedroom window.

He saw Naina coming in the balcony.

Just then she glanced over and saw Raj watching her.

" What??" , she asked.

"Can you come over?", Raj asked.

Naina looked at him.

'He looks so sad.', she thought.

She nodded. "Okay."

Rajveer pulled her across from her house and into his room.

She sat down and started to look around.

She never had been in Raj's room before but he was always in hers.

"Well what do you want to talk about?"

Raj looked at her with sadness in his eyes, "Umm...is it true you're going to the U.S. in two days?"

"Oh you heard about it already?", she asked looking away.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Why do you care anyways?"

Rajveer got mad.

"Why do you always assume that if there's something involving you that I don't care?"

Raj started to front her as she backed up into a corner. She was shocked. She never saw Raj this mad before.

"Because you never seemed to care before.", she said in low voice.

Raj grabbed her wrists and pinned her to the wall.

"Well you know what? I DO care.", He began to let her go, "It's just that you don't care about me enough to realize it."

He sat down on his bed and hid his face in his palms.

Naina sat down next to him.

"Raj...what's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Please tell me."

Raj looked at Naina. His mind kept telling him that this will be the last time he will ever see her.

'It's now or never.'

Raj took a deep breath and told her exactly how he felt.

"I love you."

Naina stood up in shock.

"What?!"

Raj stood up with her, "I love you."

Naina couldn't believe her ears.

"Wait...do you know what you're saying?"

He nodded his head, "Yes and I do mean it. I love you Nain...I love you...."

She moved away from him.

" Nahi....tum toh mujhse nafrat karte ho na?"

Rajveer was enraged.

" Haan...!!! HAAN I HATE YOU !!! ", he shouted, " Nafrat karta hoon main tumse....kyunki tum woh aaina ho, jismein main khudko dekh paaya hoon. Kyunki tumhari aankho main mujhe apni sachchai nazar aati hai, apni kamzori nazar aati hai.....woh insaan nazar aata hai, jo sabke beech hokar bhi bilkul akela hai...Woh insaan nazar aata hai, jo upar se jitna chahe khush rehne ki koshish kare par andar apne aansu chupata hai...."

Naina was listening with tears in her eyes...

" Issiliye....", Raj's voice calmed a bit , " issiliye main tumse nafrat karta hoon. Nafrat karta hoon tumse kyunki tumne har uss ehsaas ko jagaya hai, jinse main door bhagta tha.....kyunki ek nafrat hi hai jo hamesha mere saath rahi hai...pyaar kya hai? Maa ke pyaar ke alawa maine yeh kabhi nahi jaana....maine dhoodhne ki bhi koshish ki. Apne aas paas, apno ke beech...lekin nahi mila. Mere Papa ko mere liye waqt nahi hai, jinpar dost samajhkar bharosa kiya woh iss hadd tak girgaye ki main, jo uswaqt ek masoom bachcha tha, apni jaan se haath dho baithta......."

Naina was reminded of their childhood, while he was trapped in their storeroom.

Tears were daring to fall off her eyes.

He gripped her shoulders, " Main Nafrat se jiya hoon, nafrat keliye jiya hoon, aur nafrat tak jiya hoon. Aur issiliye main tumse nafrat karta hoon. "

Naina was clenching her fists to curb the emotions she was facing.

He tenderly touched her cheek...

" Parr...main apni Nafrat se Pyaar karta hoon.....bahot Pyaar...."

Naina closed her eyes, leaning into the touch.

" Main bhi pyaar karna chahta hoon....Apni dil ki sunna chahta hoon...jeena chahta hoon....I Love you Nain, I love you a lot."

Suddenly she came back to senses.

"Do you know what you're saying? I'm going to leave for US in just two more days with Huda......My parents they have....I'm planning to be with Huda forever."

She looked at Raj as he held her hand tightly.

Naina backed up again and then she began to cry bitterly.

Raj tried to move near her to comfort her but she pushed him away.

"No! After all this time you say that you love me? Ab bata rahe ho mujhe? Jab sabkuch khatam hogaya?? "

He looked at her sadly.

Naina looked at him through her tears, "I'm sorry Raj. Tum jaante ho, ki I always wanted to spent all my life with my first love....and..."

Raj looked at her back.

"But do you really love him?" , he asked.

She paused. She thought about it and couldn't find the answer herself.

So she didn't answer and looked away.

Raj thought that was the answer.

"It's okay.....Pyaar mein koi shart nahi hoti...Aur phir pyaar hamesha paana hi toh nahi hota na?? "

Naina looked at him....

Tears were streaming his face as he spoke," Aur mere liye tumhari khushi sabse important hai. Main bass tumhe khush dekhna chahta hoon. Be it with me or...."

He couldnt complete.

" Tum bahot yaad aaogi Nain..." , he said finally and hugged her hard and began crying.

" Raj...", she was choked.

He separated from her and wiped his tears.

He tenderly cupped her face and kissed her on the forehead.

"Goodbye Nain....and all the best for your life...Tumhe duniya ki saari khushiyaan mile."

Naina looked at him as he walked away.

"Raj...Ruko!!."

He felt hope go through him. "Yes?"

"Is it okay if I take something of yours as a memory?"

That flicker of hope instantly died. He bowed his head down.

"Go ahead. Take anything you want."

Then he left his room and Naina left too.

Raj didn't know it but his DIARY was gone......
