'She is going to become my wife in a few months.' Abhimanyu thought to himself. He wanted this to happen since a long, long time – since the day he had been engaged in a fight with Armaan. "Armaan," he thought with hatred. That guy had almost ruined his life, almost. But he had taken his revenge on him and now Riddhima was going to become his. He smiled at the thought. Mrs. Riddhima Modi, it sounded great to his ears. Relaxing back in his chair, he thought back to the first time he had seen her, Riddhima.
Flashback
"Hey Vivek! Sup?" Abhimanyu said putting his hand over Vivek's shoulder.
"Dude, all the girls were asking for you. You're late, as usual." Vivek said smirking.
"You know that I can't help it if the girls love me, can I?" replied Abhimanyu haughtily.
Just then he a pretty figure caught his eyes. Sipping the drink which Vivek had given him, he looked at the girl to see her dancing with some guy whose face he couldn't see in the dim lights of the club. But he could see that the girl was hot.
"Vivek, do you know who she is?" Abhimanyu asked nonchalantly.
"That is Armaan's new girlfriend. People are saying that they both have been together for a few weeks." Vivek replied.
"Do I know the guy?"
"How can you forget Armaan? He is the one who broke your nose during the last game of basketball during our final year at high school!" Vivek exclaimed.
"You mean Armaan Malik?" Abhimanyu asked dumb founded. Vivek simply nodded.
"You're kidding me. Armaan Malik actually has a girlfriend that lasted for more than a couple of days." Abhimanyu said laughing, but still not taking his eyes of the girl.
"That's what I heard. And that's not it. I heard that they both love each other. I mean how ridiculous is that?" Vivek said laughing.
"What did you say her name was?"
"Riddhima Gupta. They both were co-workers sometime back."
"Riddhima Gupta, here I come." Abhimanyu whispered as a plan began to formulate in his head.
Back to the present
His plan had worked brilliantly and now Riddhima was his. Not even Armaan could do anything about it. He started going through the files with a satisfied smile on his face.

"Atul, kya tumhe yakeen hai ki tumhaara plan kaam karega?"
"Yes mom. But you'll have to make sure ki dad ko is bare mein pata nahi chale." Atul told his mom.
Nodding, Neetu hugged her son and daughter in law once more. "Muskaan apna dhyaan rakhna." She said
Smiling, Muskaan hugged her. She loved Neetu like her own mom.
"Muskaan, tumne sab plan ke mutaabik kar liya na?" Anjali asked.
"Yes Anji. I have a feeling that this is going to be one hell of a success.

"Riddhima!" Anjali exclaimed on seeing her sister.
Riddhima smiled widely and hugged her sister tightly. "Congratulations di, jiju. i'm so happy for you guys."
"Thanks Ridzi." Anjali said as Atul wrapped a protective hand around her, placing his and on her stomach.
"Ridz, we have a surprise for you." Muskaan said.
"Surprise?"
"Yeah. But for that you'll need to come home with us." Atul said.
Half and hour later at Atul and Anjali's place…
"Now will you tell me what the surprise is?" Riddhima asked.
Smiling, Muskaan pulled Riddhima so that they climbed up the stairs. Muskaan led her to the guest bedroom. As she stepped inside the door closed. She turned around to get the best surprise of her life.
"Armaan…" she whispered as tears clouded her vision.
"Riddhima…" he whispered as he walked towards her.
Riddhima couldn't decide whether she was dreaming or was it happening for real. If she was dreaming she wished she would never wake up from the dream. How could have Armaan come to India? What was he doing at Anjali's place? So many questions plagued her, but when Armaan reached out and brushed his fingers to wipe her tears, she knew that she wasn't dreaming as she felt the electric spark that she always felt when his skin made contact with hers.
"Armaan…you're really here!" she hugged him tightly as tears of happiness streamed down her face.
He reciprocated by pulling her as close to him as possible. Pulling back after sometime he placed kisses all over her face. Riddhima closed her eyes and let herself get immersed in the feel of his lips on her cheeks, forehead and eyes. When she opened her eyes she found him looking at her with the same expression of love that she was sure her eyes reflected back. His eyed silently asked permission and she nodded.
He lowered his face to hers and touched his lips to her, lightly at first. It felt so right that Riddhima forgot everything but him. She opened her mouth to him to deepen the kiss.

As Armaan felt her open her mouth, his mind was flooded with memories of the first time he had kissed her.
12th June, 2008
It had been two months since Armaan and Riddhima had lunch together which Armaan called their 'date'. But since then their friendship grew and now they were the best of friends.
"Armaan." Armaan looked up from the office files he was going through to see Rahul standing at the entrance of his room.
"Hey, come on in. Vahan pe kyun khade ho?" Armaan said setting aside his file.
Sitting on the couch beside him, Rahul asked, "Armaan, do you like Riddhima?"
Armaan was stunned on hearing these words. He thought that no one had recognised that his feelings towards Riddhima was more than friendship. He didn't know what he should tell his brother. He didn't want to lie to Rahul.
"Umm..." Armaan hesitated.
"Armaan, I'm asking you this only because I've seen a change in you in the last month. You always have this small smile on your face whenever you talk about Riddhima." Armaan unconsciously smiled on hearing her name. "Just like this." Rahul pointed out to him. "Whenever all of us are together, both of you always look out for each other without even realising that you do such a thing. It's the first time that I've seen you care so deeply for someone other than our family. You don't know how happy it's made us to see that you are genuinely happy. Mom's feeling ecstatic to see that you may finally love someone truly."
Hearing Rahul say the words love made Armaan's heart skip a beat. He never thought that what he was feeling towards Riddhima was love and not just like. He thought over everything for a few moments. Rahul had not said anything knowing that Armaan was pondering over the things that he had said. After a few moments of silence Armaan smile brightly. Rahul noticed that he had this far away look that brought a smile on Rahul's face. He knew that he was right and that Armaan had finally realized his feelings towards Riddhima. Armaan got up suddenly and hugged Rahul.
"Thanks man." He said genuinely.
"Anytime man." Rahul said realizing that Armaan was going to tell Riddhima about his feelings. Armaan just hoped that Riddhima felt the same for him.
I know that everyone is tired of hearing my excuses but its after a long time that i sat down to write this ff as ideas filled my mind. i hope that i haven't lost my readers. i cant promise when i'll update as my practicals and terminals exams are gonna start soon. but i'll try my level best to find time to write my fics.
