Armaan was lost in his own world as he remembered all that had passed between him and Riddhima. Suddenly, as if just realizing that Riddhima was not with him anymore, he let out a sigh. He buried his face in his hands and shook his head back and forth.
"Armaan…" Nikita started but saw Atul shake his head.
"You need to give him time Nikita. It's not easy sharing such things. Even we didn't know how they got so close and before we even knew they were madly in love. You need to wait patiently." Atul told Nikita.
"Armaan, are you sure you want to do this?" Rahul asked him. He knew that his brother was going through too much remembering all that had happened.
It was a minute before Armaan spoke as if he was contemplating his answer. "There is no other option Rahul. She has to know what has happened. But it is very difficult to …control my…emotions." Armaan completed as he took deep breaths to calm himself. Looking at Nikita, Armaan said, "Nikki, can we please continue tomorrow? I don't think I'll be able to tell you everything in one shot." He looked down as if he was ashamed.
Cupping his face so that he looked into her eyes, she said, "Armaan whatever may have happened until now doesn't matter because come what may you will always be my friend. I understand your feelings and I respect it. I'm glad you are willing to open up to me."
"Thanks Nikki. You don't know how much it means to me." Armaan said as he hugged her.

"Armaan." Muskaan said as they returned home.
"Yes Muski?" Armaan asked.
"Riddhima asked me to give you something. She said you would understand everything." Muskaan said as she handed him a present.
"Thanks Muskaan. It means a lot." He said as he hugged her. Clutching on to the present, as if for dear life, he went into his room and shut the door behind him.

Riddhima felt a strange sense of relief as she sat on the terrace of her house. At first, she did not understand why she was feeling so but then everything clicked into place – Armaan. She knew that he now had her present. This gave her hope. Closing her eyes, prayed, 'I just hope that after all the suffering that Armaan and I have endured for the past two years, you will make everything better. I cannot live without him, please don't make us suffer any longer.' Tears slid down her cheeks as she felt the sense of hopelessness come back to her again.

Armaan,
Armaan…I sat to write this letter with full determination but now after writing your name all I can think about is you - every aspect of you I love. All I can think about is the feel of you arms around me. The way I feel safe, secure and protected from everything when I'm in your arms, as if nothing can rip us apart. But these past two years have been…I think you know exactly how I've felt as I know you must be going through the same things.
A tear slid down his cheek as he read her words. He knew that his Riddhima was not complete without him being with her, just as he was incomplete without her. He wished he could take away all her pain and experience it only himself. But at the same time he also knew that Riddhima would do the same thing for him in a heartbeat.
But I think it's time for us to fight back and prove to everybody that we belong to no one, but each other. Armaan, you and I both know that we want to spend the rest of our lives with each other but with the blessings of our parents. It is our duty to make sure that they forget everything that has happened in the past and see that what we want. I know that we have been trying to convince them the same things for the past couple of years but now it is time to work together. Armaan, unless and until we work as a team, together, we shall never be successful. But for that you first need to know all that I've felt for you since we have met. There are not many entries about the last two years as I did not have much strength to pen down any of my feelings as they have always been the same - how much I've missed you in my life.
But Armaan I just hope that you understand how much I love you. Looking back at the time when we had spent together, I sometimes felt that I have never told you how much I love you. I don't know whether you know, but the first time I saw you I had unknowingly given you a piece of my heart. As I got to know you I gave you a piece of my heart each time. Now, you completely own it. I love you Armaan. I want you to fight by my side, for me, for us.
Yours forever,
Riddhima.

"Armaan? Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho?" Nikki asked, confused as she opened the door of her apartment to see him standing out.
"Can I come in Nikki?" he asked clutching the diary to his heart.
"Sure."
"Armaan, is everything okay?" Nikki asked concerned.
"Nikki, I couldn't tell the whole story about Riddhima and me in front of my family. Somehow I feel as if it is a very private time…" Nikki placed a finger on his lips silencing him.
"Armaan, if you don't want to tell me everything, I understand. You can take your own time and tell me only that what you want to tell me."
"I'm sorry." Armaan said ashamed.
"There's nothing to be ashamed of. Even I wouldn't like sharing everything with someone other than the person I love." I also did love someone once. Don't go there Nikki!
"Thanks Nikki." Armaan said a sad smile on his face.

Dear diary,
It turns out that Armaan isn't as bad as he seems to be. The professionalism he shows when he works has made me rethink my views about him. He is very dedicated to whatever he does. No one would ever be able to think that he could be a flirt after seeing him work.
But that wasn't the best part about today. The best part…*sighs*
Earlier that day in the office
"So I was thinking it would be better if we consulted him. We will also have a better market this way Armaan." Riddhima said. On their first meeting, Armaan had asked Riddhima not to call him Mr. Malik as it made him feel older than he was. Riddhima happily agreed as she too hated being called Ms. Gupta.
"Are you sure Riddhima? He's fairly new to the industry and hasn't had much experience." Armaan said unsure about Riddhima's decision.
"I'm sure. Dad has worked with him once before. He is trustworthy and completes the job within the given time frame." Riddhima reasoned with him.
"Okay, if you say so." Armaan agreed.
Armaan got up to leave her office and was just about to step out when he turned back suddenly.
"Riddhima…" he said as Riddhima looked into his eyes to see some emotion burning in them.
"Yes?"
"Will you have lunch with me tomorrow?" Armaan asked.
"Armaan…" Riddhima started, not sure about his offer.
"Come on Riddhima, it's a Friday. We can even go to any place you like." Armaan countered.
"Fine." Riddhima said.
"Great. It's a date." Armaan said grinning.
"What! You misunderstood me. I agreed to go on lunch with you, not on a date." Riddhima argued.
"Relax Riddhima. I was just joking." Riddhima let out the breath that she was holding.
I don't know what's happening to me. This guy is making my emotions go all over the place. When he said that we were going on a date my heart actually skipped a beat. But I had to say know, I mean clients don't date right? I'm pretty messed up now and I'm guessing I should go to sleep now as it's late.
Ridz
Armaan smiled at the memory. He remembered him self recollecting his thoughts about that time.
Armaan knew that he affected he, he just wanted to know how. He knew that he had pushed his limits with her but he couldn't help it. He wanted to know if she would ever go out with him. He had admitted to himself the other night that Riddhima was different from all the women that he had dated over the years. All the girls melted under his gaze. But Riddhima was the only one who stood up to him. Every woman he had worked with had always agreed with his decision but Riddhima had convinced him, Armaan Malik, that his opinion was actually wrong. She was definitely something. Now that she had agreed to go on a lunch date with him (though it wasn't a date according to her) he had to get to know her better. Whenever their eyes met, the air around them was filled with electricity.
He just didn't know at that time that their lunch date (as he liked to call it) was a step closer to all the secrets being spilled.

"Will he be okay Atul?" Anjali asked, concern lacing her voice.
"I don't know. He's been going through a lot of emotions. I mean when he was telling Nikki about their meet, I felt as if I shouldn't be hearing all those things. It just seemed so intense." Atul said frustrated, not knowing what to do.
"Armaan used to frequently change his girlfriends till he met Riddhima. After he came back from France, I was surprised that he didn't date anyone at all. He smiled genuinely, joked around with us and never even gave much importance to other women. Riddhima had captured his heart the first time itself. She was always special to him. Even after they started dating, Armaan had this look in his eye, which I can't even describe now.
I mean when she was there in the room it was as if there was no other person. It was as if they existed in their own little bubble. She has changed him completely. I even heard him one night murmuring to himself, how she had promised that she would be his wife someday. But now, after hearing that she is going to marry Abhimanyu," Rahul almost spat the word, "it's tough on him. He can never bring himself to love someone else. I'm sure he'll get her back. I have this feeling that this is the last heart break that they both have to face just so that they can be together for the rest of their lives."
"I just hope you are right about the last part Rahul." Anjali whispered as she laid her head on Atul's shoulder.
