Part 7
On her run downstairs, Ragini bumps into Sadhana and Aalekh who were just coming to tell Ranvir and Ragini to come down for dinner. Ranvir then joins them and they all go downstairs. The dinner was a huge feast. Ranvir, Ragini, Aalekh, Sadhana, Malti and Vineet sat on one side of the table while on the other side it was Mamaji, Mamiji, Choti Ma, Chachu, Avni, and Naveen. Indrajit and Vasu sat at the two heads of the table.
Ranvir who was too busy staring at Ragini puts his hand on a really hot roti and pulls his hand back really fast knocking over some rice. Everyone laughs at him.
Sadhana: Devarji, aap jiji se kam aur aapke kaane par zaara sa deyan dijiye.
Malti: Jhoot toh main bolti nahin, jab Ragini inke samne hain, toh bukh aur pyaas kaha se lage gi?
Ranvir blushes a bit. Ragini looks at him and smiles. He immediately smiles back.
Sadhana: Jiji aap bhi shuru ho gayi? Hum sabne itna pyaar se yeh menu prepare kiya aur aap toh kuch khaa hi nahi re.
Vasu: Sadhana, meri bahu ko ab ched na maat.
Ranvir: 😃
Dinner goes smoothly and after dinner the pundit comes and says that the only available date is next week itself and nothing else for another year. Everyone agrees that next week would be perfect as no one is willing to wait another year, least of all Ranvir.
It's time for the Sharma family to go home. Indrajit insists that the drivers will drive them home. Ranvir and Aalekh make a plan. When it was time to leave, Ranvir tells Ragini that Aalekh is calling her in his room. Ragini goes to find out why. Ranvir then puts Mamaji and Mamiji in a car and sends them off saying that Ragini went because Aalekh called her and he'll send her in the next car. He then puts Malti and Vineet in one car and sends them off.
Meanwhile Ragini is upstairs with Aalekh.
Ragini: Jijaji, kuch kaam tha kya?
Aalekh: Haan, woh, maine, woh.. tumhari painting banayi thi!
Ragini: Oh..
Aalekh: Lekin woh toh Ranvir ke paass hain. Uh, chalo hum Ranvir ke room mein ja kar doondte hain, okay?
Ragini: Lekin Jijaji, mere jaane ka waqt ho gaya hai. Ma aur Bauji neche intezaar kar rahe honge.
Aalekh: Woh mujhe nahin pata. Mujhe tumhein woh painting dekhani hain aur waise bhi, woh log toh tumein chor kar nahi jaayenge na? Don't worry. Okay?
Ragini: Achcha...
Ranvir goes to his room to find Ragini and Aalekh there.
Ranvir: Ragini! Tum abhi tak gaaye nahin? Sab log toh chale gaaye.
Ragini: Kya? Aise kaise? 😕
Ranvir: Lagta hain woh log nahin chahte ke tum wapas waha jaoun.
Ragini: Ranvirji, main kaise ghar jaaongi?
Ranvir: Areh, tum ghar hi toh ho.
Aalekh: Ranvir, tum dost ki Jiji ko Mamaji ke ghar le jao.
Ranvir: Chalo bhai, main tumko le chalti hoon.
Ranvir drives Ragini a little further and then pretends the car broke down. He then tells her they'll have to walk by foot the rest of the way. He then holds her hand.
Ranvir: Ab yeh maat bolo ke koi dekh le ga.
Ragini: Main kuch nahin bolungi. Aaj main itna khush hoon ke main aapko bata bhi nahi sakta. Kabhi kabhi lagta hai ke main koi haseen sapna dekh rahi hoon.
Ranvir: Ragini, yeh khushi maine sapne mein bhi nahin mehsoos kiya tha. Ab toh kissi tara yeh hafta par ho jaaye aur tum hamesha ke liye mere paas aa jao phir dekhna jo tum sapne mein bhi nahin mehsoos kiya, woh sab mein tumhein dekhar rahoonga.
With that, Ranvir kisses her hand and they hug. They walk the rest of the way home quietly, enjoying the comfort in the silence. Ranvir drops Ragini off and goes home.
After Ranvir reaches home, he calls Sadhana and Aalekh and tells them to come outside.
Ranvir: Bhabi, shaadi ke waqt kya kya hota hai? Mera matlab, phere hote hain, but kaise aur mujhe kya karna hoga?
Aalekh: Areh stupid, itna bhi maloon nahin tumhein? Main dhikati hoon.
Aalekh finds a pot of clay and he grabs Sadhana's hand and a flower off of a bush and then he sits down with Sadhana and remembers their wedding and he does it all straight from throwing the flower into the pot (he's pretending there's fire there) to taking the pheres with Sadhana. He then pretends to put on the mangal sutra and the sindoor.
Ranvir watches on with a big smile while Sadhana was just following Aalekh mesmerized by him. After Aalekh finished putting on the sindoor, Sadhana couldn't help herself, she hugged Aalekh even though Ranvir was there. She had completely forgotten that Ranvir was there until he cleared his throat and when she looked at him, he looked away...
