Part One Pyaar Ka Pal...

"What the hell is this?" Screamed Damani Kapoor with a violent voice. All her worker stood in front of her with there head bowed down. "Now do you guys have any answer or should I fire you?"

"Ma'am…" The first employer whispered

"Shut-Up?" She squealed back.

"Damani, what's the problem?" questioned Damani's husband. Damani turns to her tall husband wearing a black suit, on hand in his pocket.

"Dilip, our company is facing major losses. We have lost over 1 million pounds in the past one week, and 3 tender to the same company."

"To who Damani?"

"Some company named Suraj Fashion House!" Damani and Dilip Kapoor have been married for twenty-six years now; they have a beautiful daughter Kripa Kapoor, 24. Dilip was a very poor man when he arrived in London 3 years before he met Damani. They got married and started of with a small fashion house which today is the largest fashion house in London, England. They became so successful that they forgot their daughter Kripa Kapoor, who hates them for this reason now. And speaking of Kripa Kapoor, where is she right now?

The crowd at the shopping mall is crazy as a new college year is about to start, and out of all these people out stood one girl. Holding about fifty different bags, she walked down the mall trying her best not to trip over anything or crash with anyone there, she was almost out of the mall when suddenly her phone vibrated in her back pocket, she freaked out from the vibration and her bags flew all around her, the whole mall paused and looked at her. Her soft chocolate brown eyes were embarrassed and her cheeks turned a cheery red. She slowly bent down and started to pick up her bags. And at this point there is no way she could pick up all the bags at once. "I'm going to kill this person on the phone!" Kripa got up and kicked her bags and picked the phone up. "Who are you and what do you want?" She screamed, as once again everyone passing her looks at her, she put the phone on hold and looks at the guys across her and points her figure towards him and asks him to come to her. The guy walked to her with a gleeful smile!

"Hi sexy!" He chirped. He motioned to put his arm around Kripa when she gave him a tight slap. "What the hell was that for??"

Kripa stands there for a few seconds looking at the guys angry face and then talks, "Well, that was to teach you a lesson, so next time when you see a girl or anyone in problem you will help them instead of laughing at them like an idiot!" The guy stands in front of a smiling Kripa with one hand on his cheek. "Now what are you staring at, come on darling pick up my bags and help me!" The guy is shocked at Kripa's behavior. "I think you didn't hear me? I said pick up my bags!" The guy slowly bent down and picked up the bags while Kripa put the phone on her ear. "Hello"

"Kripa… what was all that?"

"What was what, and who is this?"

"Kripa, this is your mom!"

"Oh! Mom, how did you remember me today, guess you didn't have any important appointments.?!?!"

"Just stop it Kripa, what haven't we done for you, and you, all you do is taunt us." Said Damani in a stronge voice.

"Mom if sending me to school, feeding me, and giving me a shelter is what a parents have to do, then I'm sorry to say, why did god make parents, I think I am capable enough to do that myself now." Every word out of Kripa's mouth was a dagger. And before Damani could say anything Kripa talked once again, this time almost in tears turning away from the guy standing in front of her waiting for her with full patients. "Don't worry Mom, I remember that we have a business dinner at home and you want me to be there in my best outfit and make-up, I will be home by time, don't worry. Bye Mom." Kripa ends the call with shaking hands and wipes her tears and turns around. She takes the bags from the man giving him a faint and depressed 'Thanks.' All her bags hang from both her arms and she carefully makes her way out the mall. She makes her way to her sexy silver color, Aston Martin. She opens the back door and throws all her bags inside and then makes her way behind the wheel. She attaches her cell phone to her steering wheel and started the car. Kripa got home about thirty minutes later, and she was at no surprise when her servant Teddy told her that her parents weren't home. She sighed and went to her room. She threw the door open and puts her bags on the bed and sits down in front of her mirror taking her jewelry off. Kripa was leaving to London University in three days. She didn't want to. Kripa had applied to about twelve different universities, hoping to get into Oxford, but to her disappointment she was rejected due to some reason. She was going to London University based on a full 8 years scholarship. The reason she applied for one because she didn't want to depend on her parents for her education. She sat there looking at her self and then down at the rejection letter she received from Oxford University 3 months back telling her that she has been rejected but is on the "holding" list, if any one were to drop she would get the spot. But at this point three days before starting graduate school she didn't have any hope. She opens her closet which was pretty empty now, just a few pairs of clothes; she takes out a fresh pair of jeans and a black tank top. She's about to step into the bathroom when she hears a soft knock on the door. "One can't even shower peacefully in this house." she mumbles in an angry voice. She sets her cloths down on her bed and opens the door to find Teddy standing in front of her. "Teddy? What's up?" She leans on the wall and talks again, "What brings you here?"

"Ma'am there's a letter for you!"

"Thanks Teddy! You can go."

"Yes Ma'am." He said in an obedient voice.

"Teddy" Teddy turned around and looks at Kripa, "You can call me Kripa" Teddy smiled at Kripa and left. Kripa closed the door and looked at the sealed envelope, and set it aside for now, and went into the bathroom to take a nice warm shower.

Thirty minutes later she came out of the shower wrapped in a pink towel and her wet hair hand down her fair back. Kripa walks to her window and draws the curtains then quickly changes into her outfit, she applies nothing more than a nice pink gloss and then gets ready to go down stairs to make something for her when her eyes set on that letter again. She picks it up and very carefully opens it. She unfolds the letter and scans through it. And her eyes freeze when she read the words 'You have been accepted into Oxford University as a wild card entry, congrats!" Kripa jumps up in joy and runs down stairs to tell her parents, until she realizes no one is home. She quickly throws the depressing thought over her head and picks up her cell phone and calls Josh, Kripa's close friend though her parents and his parents. But unlike her parents, Josh's parents were very supportive of him and his decisions. Josh was secretly in love with Kripa but never told her, because he knew she would never approve. Josh was completing his last year at Oxford in Business Management. Josh's phone kept ringing and he wouldn't pick up, now Kripa decides to go to his house. She quickly slips into a nice warm jacket and grabs her purse and cell and leaves for his house, driving 70 MPH. SHe reaches Josh's beautiful mansion and waits for the colossal ivory gate with patterns of different symbols of royalty and power around it. Finally the whole gate opens and drives in Kripa around beautiful green garden and parks next to a gorgeous water fountain and runs into the home throwing open the tall doors, and there she finds Josh sitting peacefully reading a new paper. Kripa runs to him and jumps on the soft next to him.

"JOSHHHHHHH Guess what!!"

"Kripa breath! Ab batao kya hua?"

"Josh, I got selected for Oxford, I got the letter just now."

"Good for you! So that calls for a celebration, we should go out tonight."

Kripa sits back disappointed and in a soft somber voice she says, "I wish I could Josh, but we have a party we are hosting tonight, I have to be there, Mom wants me to meet someone special."

"Oh really!" Josh says in a naught voice!

"Oh shut-up Josh, like I would ever say yes in the first meet!"

"Well you never know, if he is handsome, hot, and successful then you would, wouldn't you?!"

"Josh, darling, who told you that you are Handsome and Hot?!"

"It's a fact sweetheart! Every girl is head over heels for me. They would die to date me! And me, I'm only after one!"

"And who is that oh so fortunate girl?!"

"You!"

"What?!"

"Of course, you're the only lady in my life, there is no other girl in my life!"

"Then find one because you are scaring the crap out of me!"

"Kripa chill man! I'm just joking!"

"I know! By the way where's aunty?"

"Dad and Mom are gone out. They should be back anytime now."

"Well tell them 'Hi' and I'll take your leave now."

"Ok! We'll see you tonight!"

"Tonight?!"

"Yes the grand event hosted by your family today, we are invited! And then maybe you can help me select a girl!"

"Very Funny! Ok I'll leave now!"

Kripa gives him a quick hug and runs out of the beautiful place and back home!

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part Two

Kripa sat in front of her mirror slipping on a beautiful diamond bracelet around her delicate wrist, when she heard a knock on the door, she got up and smoothing her dress out made her way to the door. She opens it and stood in front of her a beautiful tan girl, taller than her, wearing a beautiful red gown. Its none other than Aaliya! Kripa opens her arms up and warmly hugs Aaliya and invites her into Kripa's beautiful all pink full of teddy bear room. No matter how much Kripa hated her parents about the fact that they never gave her the attention she deserved she could never deny the fact that she got what she wanted before moving her lips, or asking twice for it. But again Kripa thought that was not a reason that she could forgive her parents, no matter how hard she tried she couldn't behave normal with her parents.

Aaliya sat down on Kripa's comfy bed while Kripa made her way back to the mirror to give her look the last touches, she combed her hand through her hair and soon found Aaliya standing behind her, smirking at her.

"What?" Stated Kripa in a confused manner.

"Oh it's nothing!" Aaliya puts her hands on Kripa's shoulders and tilted her head. "Every guy is going to be want to be with you tonight Kripa."

"Don't be silly Aaliya" Stated Kripa in a rather shy manner.

"No I'm serious," Aaliya moves from behind Kripa and stood against the wall fingering all the different Jewelry Kripa had laid in front of her. "tell me Kripa who do you want to spend the rest of your life with?"

"Well," Kripa took the pair of earring from Aaliya's hands and one by one slipped them into her ears. "I don't know, that special someone isn't here yet! And to be frank viewing the kind of life I live with my parents no man would like to be linked with a girl who refuses to respect her own parents." Kripa sighed as she picked up all her jewelry and set it back inside her safe, making sure to lock it properly. Aaliya looked into the mirror and applied another coat of lip gloss, and then turned back to Kripa who was all set to leave for the 'not-so-important-event'

"Shall we go?" Sighed Kripa.

"Come on Kripa, you know you love him!"

"Love who?" Cried Kripa

"Angad Khanna!"

Kripa rolled her eyes at Aaliya who stood there just looking at Kripa. "Kripa, my dear, your eyes soften in front of him, your heart melts, and your yearn to sit in front of him and listen to him talk!"

Kripa takes a seat on her bed now with an upset face. "Aaliya, the last time I met Angad was three years back, when he was finishing his last year of MBA. It was just a crush, I liked talking to him, hanging around with him, but love, I doubt it was love Aaliya. And by the way," Kripa stood up with a quite astonished look on her face, "today after three years what makes you think of Angad?"

"Oh nothing!" Aaliya stood there twirling her hair around her figure, while Kripa stood there just looking at her. "What?" Screamed Aaliya.

"Nothing Aaliya, come on lets leave, I don't want to argue with my loving and caring parents again. And by the way, I just received a letter confirming my admission at Oxford!"

"WHAT?"

"Ya!"

"And you're telling me this now???"

"Well! I totally forgot!"

Aaliya hugged Kripa excited that the two best friends, both going into science at the same college, hoping to share the same dorm. Aaliya and Kripa had made loads of plans in the past years, hoping to both get into Oxford, but when Aaliya was accepted and Kripa rejected, there dreams were shattered. But they stood here once again reliving all there hope's and dreams! Kripa quickly shut the lights of the room and the two beautiful ladies headed to Kripa's car. Kripa got to the Hotel fairly quickly, She handed the keys of her car to a chauffeur and the two ladies made there way to the handsome, mahogany doors. Kripa breathed in, somewhat, for some reason very nervous to enter the place today. And finally she stepped into the beautiful ball room. She looks around the beautiful place and sees small chandlers around the room, and then above her stood one titanic crystal chandler. Kripa looks ahead of her and just as Aaliya had predicted every man standing there was stealing glances at her. Kripa looked absolutely charming in her elegant dark crimson, off shoulder dress with sprinkled diamonds from her neck line to her waist, the amount of the sparkling diamonds lessened as the dress reached the floor. Kripa sees a tall handsome guy walk towards him, but Kripa does not want him to be even near him, and to her good luck, right then comes back Josh slipping her arm around her arm. Kripa exhales in relief and the guy stops right there, picks up another glass of wine and turns back.

"Thank God, you came!"

"I had noticed your discomfort ma'am!" Josh pulls his arm away and turns to Aaliya and greets her with a kiss on both cheeks and Aaliya greets him back in the same way.

"Would you two ladies like something to drink?"

"No thanks Josh." Says Aaliya politely.

"Kripa you?"

"No Josh, I'm fine, thanks anyways!"

Kripa spots her parents standing with another couple, Kripa excuses herself away from Josh and Aaliya and walks to her parents. Kripa acts quite normal with her parents and hugs both of them. Stands next to her father holds his arm.

"Kripa, meet Mishty Bose, and Kartick Bose." Kripa smiles at the young, recently married couple politely, she shakes hands with Kartick and shares a quick hug with Mishty and possesses her place beside her father once again.

"And this is my only daughter Kripa!" Before the three can be engaged in a conversation we spot the same guy who Kripa spotted earlier walking towards Kartick and putting his arm around his shoulder.

"And this is Prithvi Bose Kripa." Announces Damani in a very friendly voice. "He's the soul owner of the very new in the market, but gained popularity fairly quickly, fashion house 'Suraj,' not to mention in the past few weeks they have gained many contracts over our company! And he's the special person I wanted you to meet."

"That's great Mum!" Replies Kripa in a casual manner, trying to seem interested, yet the least bit. "Nice to meet you Mr. Bose!"

"Call me Prithvi."

"It's ok, I prefer Mr. Bose." Kripa gives him a cold look, and turns to her parents. "And if you may please excuse me." Kripa leaves Dilip's arm and makes her way back to her two friends, who not to mention are engaged in a rather deep conversation.

"And what's the dilemma?" Chirps Kripa standing next to Aaliya.

"Oh nothing Kripa!" Replies Josh.

"Ok!"

Kripa spots Prithvi making his way towards her picking up yet another glass of wine. Kripa rolls her eyes and leaves her two friends and moves along the party greeting other friends. She finds Prithvi looking at her constantly while still talking to some of his friends. Kripa avoids eye contact with him. She is just talking to friends when her phone rings. She walks to another part of the room and tries to talk but the phone disconnects. Her cell rings yet once again, and still no one talks. Rather annoyed, she walks out of the ball room and gives the cell to a waiter asking him to put it back in her car. She turns around and walks right back into the party mingling with the guests once again. Slowly most couples start to walk up to the dance floor. Josh asks Aaliya. And Kartick and Mishty dance looking at each other whispering something into each others ears occasionally. Kripa looks at the couple with dreamy eyes, wishing someone would be with her at the very moment and ask her to dance with her, she shakes the thought off and turns around to finds Prithvi standing there. Kripa takes a step back and smiles at him.

"May I ask the lady for a dance?" He asks like a gentleman. Kripa wants to say 'no' yet at the same time she doesn't want to be rude, and oh so unwillingly she slips her hand into Prithvi's hand, and he heads her to the dance floor. Kripa, very hesitantly puts her arms around his neck, while her locks her but putting his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. Kripa is very uncomfortable and avoids any eyes contact. Kripa is constantly looking at the door, like she was expecting someone to enter the place, she feels like someone stood behind those doors waiting for her to open them. Kripa looks at Prithvi and excuses herself, and walks towards the door. Then she stops and turns back around, happy to know Prithvi has found himself a new partner. She smiles to herself when she feels someone's strong hand being placed on her shoulder. She slowly turns around to fine a rather handsome, young man standing in front of her. He's wearing a black tuxedo looking extremely, charming and sexy. His light brown eyes looked silver under the dim lights. A smile spread across Kripa's glossed lips. And without any intentions she puts her arms around him and greets him with a light kiss on his cheek. And to her surprise he greets him back the same way. Kripa looks into his eyes, and hugs him tightly, whispering to him, "I've missed you Angad, I've missed you so much!"

Kripa withdraws from him and they smile at each other. Tears from in Kripa's eyes and Angad bends down holding her hand and asks her, "Now that I have the chance may I ask the charming lady for a dance?"

Kripa without thinking once slips her hand around his arm and they make there way to the dance floor. Unlike with Prithvi, Kripa is extremely comfortable with Angad, and doesn't leave one chance to look into his eyes. As they dance Kripa observes Anagd. He looks different from three years ago. He has seemed to loose a lot of weight and at the same time had a chance to buff up.

"What Happened? Why are you looking at me with such great interest?"

"It's nothing Angad."

Josh watched them from a distance with a smile on his face, and so did Aaliya, because in front of them stood Kripa Kapoor, so happy after such a long time. The music changes to a fast track, and the lights turned back on. Angad took Kripa's hand and they both made there way of the crowed event into the parking lot.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 3

Kripa and Anagd walk in the parking in silence. Finally they stop in front of Kripa's car. Kripa sits on the bonnet while Angad stands in front of her.

"Three years Angad, where have you been?"

Angad sits down beside Kripa hanging his coat on his arm, "I was right here, just a little busy."

"So busy that you didn't have time for your friends?"

"Well, so much happened in these three years, I couldn't remember anything, I was in France Kripa."

"France? All of a sudden?"

"Kripa, I wanted to be away from London, so much happened here that I started hating this city, almost started blaming it for ever mishap in my life. I decided to move, and it was France. Actually first I moved to Germany, but I couldn't learn the language so I decided to move to France because I took French as a foreign language."

Kripa sat there looking at Angad with warmth her in her eyes.

"Kripa, it's me only talking your so quite, what's wrong?"

Kripa shakes out of her thoughts and smiles, "Well seems like you have had an interesting life!" Angad smiles faintly and looks down. Kripa notices that he didn't like her last comment.

Angad had always been a reserved person, specially around most girls. He was always into himself and his studies, he never had a social life in high school or in college. Angad had always been a senior to Kripa, 3 years older to her. When Kripa entered High School as a freshman, Angad was a junior at the time. Kripa had Math and Science with him because these subjects were her forte. She was taking A.P. Biology, and A.P Pre-Cal. Kripa had fallen for Angad's looks, his simplicity, and the fact he was so well behaved around girls unlike most guys at the time, pulled Kripa to Angad. And luckily she sat next to him in Pre-Cal and was assigned a project with him in Biology. Angad on the other hand only looked at Kripa as a very good friend. He never thought about her as his girlfriend. As Kripa got to know Angad better she found out that he was so reserved because his mother had died when he was 3, and his father never had time for him, very much like Kripa. But during college he started to live with his Grandmother which brought a change in his behavior, but not drastically. Kripa could relate to Angad when it came to there "Parental-Behavior" life. When Kripa became a senior she contacted Angad once again to ask his help in applying for college. At that time Angad was finishing his 3rd years at London University, and Angad hadn't seen Kripa in almost two years, the reason he never told Kripa. When Angad saw Kripa after 2 years he was taken by her new look, she looked mature, and he felt differently for her. But he never realized it was love, he hasn't till today. Kripa wanted to stay close to Angad, so for the first four years of college she applied to London University and was accepted! Angad left after one year and Kripa was left alone once again and didn't hear from him for 3 years. And now after three years they sat beside each other once again.

Angad snapped his figures in front of Kripa's face and she shook out of her thoughts, "Kripa you here?!"

"Oh, yes, I'm sorry!"

"It's ok!"

"So Angad, what brings you here after such a long time?" Angad titled his head a little and looked at Kripa. "What happened Angad?"

"You Don't seem too happy to see me!"

You don't know how happy I am to see you' though Kripa.

"Hey, where did you loose yourself again? I was kidding man, well I've actually been back in London for one year now-" before Angad could continue Kripa cuts him off.

"You have been in London for one full year and haven't contacted me once?"

"I'm sorry Kripa, my Grandmother was starting to fall sick so I decided to stay with her, I moved my company to London, leaving five percent of it in France!"

"Cool! What type company?"

"Well I'm sure you have some of my companies' diamonds!"

"How fun! Diamonds!"

"Yes! Diamonds!"

"What the company called?"

"Dreamz, We Read A Women Heart"

"That beautiful Angad!"

"Why Thank you!"

"Ok forget about me, you tell me Kripa what's up with you?"

"Well! Not much. I just received a letter this morning conforming I have been admitted in Oxford!"

"Congrats"

"Thanks" There conversation took a short halt, and Kripa hugged herself, while a zillion Goosebumps formed on her arms. Angad looked at her and wrapped his jacket around her. Kripa smiled at him, and just dazed at him for a moment when her eyes met Angad's. But before anything could happen, any emotion could be born within them, Angad looks away and so does Kripa. While Kripa smiles to herself, Angad wipes a tear from the corner of his eye.

"Kripa, we should go back, other wise your parents will wonder where you are?" Kripa smiles and they head back in to the beautiful ball room. They are about to enter the ballroom when Angad holds Kripa's hand.

"What happened Angad?"

"Kripa, my jacket!"

"Oh! Thanks!" Kripa takes her jacket off and Angad slips it on him. And they both head inside. As soon as Kripa enters her mom spots her and takes her away, leaving Angad behind, as her mom took her by the hand Kripa's gaze didn't leave Angad's and Angad's eyes didn't leave her, and at this point something happened in both there souls, yet at the same they didn't know what, and if they did, they were not yet ready to accept it. Angad is still looking at Kripa when Josh creeps up behind him and gives him a tight slap on the back and Aaliya stands next to him as well. Angad remembers Josh and Aaliya. The three didn't know each other too well, but they knew each other enough to sit down and enjoy a small conversation. And that exactly what they did, while Kripa got busy with the guests, Josh, Aaliya, and Anagd sat at a table on the corner and enjoyed a small conversation, until Josh had to leave for some time. Aaliya turns to Angad and looks at him. Aaliya knew Angad just as well as she knew Kripa, even though Angad hasn't realize this. Aaliya is about to talk to Angad when Kripa arrives there and sits across Angad is Josh's spot, and Aaliya was forced to shut-up. Someone walks up to Anagd and he stands up and talks to the man for some time while Kripa turns to Aaliya.

"Aaliya, lets have a sleepover?"

"Wow, Kripa after so many days! It's not a bad idea!"

"So your coming?"

"Duh!"

"Great!" Angad sat down again and Kripa ended the conversation right there. The affair is soon over, Josh drops Aaliya to Kripa's place as they both know Angad and Kripa would like to share some moments. And so it happens. Angad walks Kripa to her car, they walk back, with Angad's jacket around Kripa once again. Angad opens the door for Kripa, she stand inside the door while Angad stands on the other side on the door.

"We will meet again rite? Or do you plan to disappear to another country again?"

"Of course we will meat! In fact, I will happily agree to help you move into your dorm!"

"Really! How sweet!"

"Well see you soon then!" Kripa is about to sit down when Angad calls her back. "Kripa."

"Yes Angad?"

"Can we have lunch together tomorrow?"

Kripa can't help smiling and with the most happy voice ever she says, "YES!"

"Well then 12 sharp! How about Hard Rock caf?"

"Sure! See you tomorrow!" Kripa sits down and Angad closes the door for her. Angad stands there until he can no longer see Kripa's car and then he heads back to his car.

Kripa enters her room in dream world and doesn't notice Aaliya changed into her night suit laying on her bed reading. Kripa opens her closet and takes out a pair of pajamas and a night shirt and walks into the bathroom to change. Aaliya just sits there in disbelief.

Angad on the other hand enters his house, and walks into her bathroom, quickly changes into his night suit and sits on the bed his thought drifting back to Kripa, her charming eyes, and her warm smile. Angad sat up in his bed and ran his hands thought his hair and then got up and walked to his grandmothers bedroom to check if she had already slept. And just like he has expected she was fast asleep with a book on her stomach. Angad puts the book away and closes the light, he wraps a warm quilt around her, and kisses her good night. He heads back to his room and tries to sleep. And after a lot of tossing and turning he does fall asleep.

On the other hand there sits Aaliya inquiring Kripa and her moments with Angad tonight like an FBI agent, and Kripa answered them all with full honesty. The only question Aaliya didn't ask her the one question, does she love Angad for two reasons. First, Kripa didn't know for herself if she did or not and second this question was edgy and could create a small argument. And that's the last thing Aaliya wanted! After a long topic discussion they both go to sleep around 3 A.M.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 4

Kripa entered Hard Rock Caf. Hard Rock Caf was a famous caf in London. The place smelled like a coffee. On the left of Kripa she saw a very small bar, like in almost every caf in London. The caf was decorated with painting all around, and furnished with very simple Mahanoy colored tables and chair, with a soft fabric with blue checks patterned on them as a table cloth. A pianist played soft music in the background but the loud noises from the bar over powered the beautiful music. Kripa listened to the soft tunes of Beethoven's' most popular symphony, Moonlight Sonata as the music slowly faded away, the symphony ended, a few people clapped for the extremely talented man, when finally Kripa spots Angad sitting in the back of the caf. He sat there in a relaxed position, taking on his phone. Kripa smiles to herself as she sees Anagd talk to the person on the other line with an extremely sophisticated look on his face. He would smile occasionally, while twirling with his pen on a small piece of paper, or rather a napkin, or running one hand thought his hair. Kripa stood there watching him for just a few minutes until Angad saw her and waved his hand in the air. Kripa came out of her flight of imagination and walked to the table. Kripa took a seat on the chair across Angad while he finished his conversation on the phone. Finally, approximately five minutes later he puts his phone down takes a deep breath. "I'm so sorry Kripa, you had to wait."

"It's ok Angad. By the way, why did you choose such a noisy place? As far as I remember you liked quite places! What happened?"

"Well," he calmly said sitting back once again. "I have never been here and I wanted to see the Vault!"

"Really, and since when did you gain interest in music?" Questioned Kripa.

"Just like that!"

"Ok!" Before they could carry on with there conversation a well dressed waitress comes to them with two menus.

"May I please take you order!" She asks politely. Kripa holds out her hand politely, indicating she doesn't need to menu card, while Angad takes a menu and looks thought it with a rather confused look on his face.

"I would like Cajun Chicken Sandwich with a Cesar Salad." Orders Kripa in the most confident manner available.

"And your drink ma'am?"

"Well, how about a small Sea Breeze?"

"Sure Ma'am!" Angad gave Kripa the craziest look as she ordered her 'Sea Breeze.' "And you sir?"

"Huh? Oh yes!" Angad looked back at his menu when Kripa spoke once more.

"Can you please get him a Cajun Chicken Sandwich as well with-" Kripa looked at Angad once again, "And a Cobb Salad, minus the bacon, avocados, and eggs."

"Sure ma'am!"

"And for the drink, get him a Pina Colada!"

"Any thing else for the couple tonight?"

"No we're fine!"

"Ok ma'am, you order should be ready in about fifteen minutes, until then feel free to observe our Vault." The waitress collects the menu cards and leaves the table.

"What did you just order me?" Asked an inquisitive Angad.

"You'll like it trust me!"

"I better like it!"

"You will, now come on; I'll give you a nice tour of the Vault!"

Kripa and Angad enter the Vault, Kripa casually looks around while Angad gasps looking around. it's the most beautiful place to be at right now. The interior is done by using loads of Red, Gold, Green, and Purple. Angad and Kripa walks around the place, as Angad observes each and every guitar, touching it to feel the texture, running his strong figures over the strings of the guitars making a little noise.

The Vault was almost like a mini music museum. The walls were fully decorated by guitars from different eras, and how they have developed, and behind them hanging records. A Little old furniture's, and antiques of that sort. And finally many small paintings.

"Hey Kripa look!"

"What?" Kripa stands in front of Angad as they both observe the beautiful painting.

"I think they just added this to there collection!" Mumbled Kripa running her figures over the delicate picture with many pastel colors. Angad's eye catches Kripa's face and he continues to look at her with soft eyes. Kripa turns and looks at Angad's face who is looking at her with the warmest, most romantic look in his eyes. Kripa wished she could puts her arms around him and hold him close to her. They continue to look into each others eyes, Angad moves closer to her, he places his warm hands on his cheeks. Kripa closes her eyes, when the waitress comes in.

"You food is ready sir." Kripa and Angad move away and make there way back to the table and sit down to enjoy the lunch. Kripa places a napkin in her lap and picks up her Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and takes a bit out of it. She tastes the roasted chicken and the melted cheddar cheese, with mustard and mayonnaise. Anagd just looked at the sandwich and then back at Kripa. Kripa rolled her eyes and put her sandwich down.

"God Angad, really, you'll never change." She bends over and slices his sandwich in four parts, picks up one of the four, and holds the piece in front of Anagd's lips. Angad slowly bends over and opens his mouth and takes a small bit of the sandwich. He slowly closes his mouth and chews the bite, at first very carefully making all sorts of faces.

"It's not all that bad!" Kripa gives him a 'you have got to trust me at times' look. Angad opens his mouth again and Kripa stuff the rest of the piece in his mouth. And soon Angad has finished his sandwich and heads for his Cobb Salad. He takes a quick glance at it, finding massive mixed greens, with grilled chicken, red onions, tomatoes, Jack and Cheddar Cheese. He forked through the salad and ate it little by little sipping on his Pina Colada every once in a while. Kripa knew very well, when she ordered his drink that Angad enjoyed any type of Pina Colada. In this case it was a frozen concoction of Bacardi Rum, Malibu Coconuts Rum, mixed with Pineapple Juice garnished with pineapple and Maraschion cheery.

Kripa on the other hand finished her sandwich and half of her salad, and was on her way of finishing her Sea Breeze. "Kripa, may I ask what's in your Sea Breeze?" He pressed his lips trying not to laugh but it was too late, Kripa has caught the sarcasm in his voice.

"Very funny Angad!"

"Hey, it's a simple question, with a simple answer, come on you can tell me! I won't tell your parents if it involves a little alcohol."

"And like they would care!" Scoffed Kripa, in a rather rude manner.

"Come on Kripa, take it easy!" Angad's voice was so soothing Kripa forgot about everything and just concentrated on him.

The caf had cooled down. The bar was not as busy anymore, and the piano could be heard clearly with some people whispering in the background.

"Well, even if it did contain Alcohol, which it does, just a little Vodka." Angad widened his eyes a little and Kripa threw a straw at him in the cutest, more adorable manner ever. "Don't worry darling' I'm not getting drunk off of a little bit of Vodka!"

"I'm sure you won't!" He said in a rather confident manner, circling his straw in his drink. Kripa mocked his style and did the same as Angad picked up the same straw and threw it at her.

"Angad you helping me tomorrow?"

"Uh… I'm sorry Kripa. But I'm afraid I can't."

"And may I dare to ask why?"

"I have to make my way back to France for three days and then Italy for four days!"

"Oh! And when are you leaving?"

"Right after this lunch! Speaking of which, I was the one who invited you, and it was you who placed the ordered." Kripa tried her best to laugh but she couldn't pretend. And just looks at her drink string it. Angad notices her disappointment and places his warm hand on top of hers, squeezing it with great care. "I'm sorry Kripa." Kripa looked up at him and smiled lovingly.

"It's ok Angad! I'm sure it's important."

"It is, other wise I would have refused to leave."

"Well, then I hope I will be seeing you soon. I hope I don't have to wait for another three years."

"You won't, I promise." Angad now pulls his hand back and the waitress comes there with the bill. Before Kripa could say anything Angad pays her and tips her. "Not a word Kripa, it was my invitation to you!"

"Don't worry, I wasn't going to say anything anyways!" Angad smiles at her comment and they leave the place shortly after.

"Well, see you in a week!"

"Thanks for the lunch Angad! You saved my from eating alone, like I normally do!"

"Anytime!"

"Angad if you don't mind can I accompany you to the air port?" Angad is surprised and happy at Kripa's question. He recovers from her question and in his most charming style answers.

"Of course you may!" Kripa smiles and they drive to the air port.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 5

"Well I guess I'll leave now!"

"I guess so too! Call me as soon as you get there, be safe, eat on time, stay warm, and…"

"Wow, Wow, Wow! Kripa, relax, you're acting more like my Mom than…" Angad pauses as he thinks back to his mother. A tear forms around his eye and Kripa quickly speaks.

"Hey Angad, what's this? Why are you crying? You look like a small girl now! Come on cheer up!" Kripa wipes his tears and holds his hand in between her hands and takes a step closer to him. "Be thankful that you had a Mother who loved you as long as she was with you. Unlike… anyways, forget it! Take care of you self!"

"You too!" The flight announcement airs again and Angad looks at Kripa. "Well I'll see you soon!"

"Ok!" Angad turns to leave and after he takes a few steps Kripa calls him. "Angad!"

Angad turns around and looks at Kripa, "Yes?" Kripa walks up to him with a hesitated look on her face she quickly hugs Angad, and stays there for a minute or two.

"I'll really miss you Angad!"

Angad smiles to himself and while he runs his hand thought her hair he whispers "Me too" Kripa parts from him and finally Angad leaves. Kripa stands there waving at him until he is no longer in sight.

Kripa walks back to Angad's car and sits behind the wheel. She places her hands exactly where Angad had placed his, and then puts her head against the seat and looks to the other passenger seat where she finds Angad's jacket. She picks it up and out falls Angad's wallet. She picks it up and opens it only to find an old picture of him and Kripa in it. And behind it a picture of Kripa alone. First Kripa wonders that why he would have her picture, and then realizes that its Angad's wallet she is looking at, he might need it. She takes her cell and dials Angad.

"Hello"

"Angad, its Kripa."

"Oh, don't tell me you already miss me!"

"Shut Up ok! I have your wallet in my hand. Do you need it?"

"Um…. I don't think so. I only have a small amount of cash in there. Which you can loose if you want, but please take care of the rest of the items."

"Which are?"

"A few pictures in there!"

"Ok! Bye!"

"Bye Kripa!" Kripa puts the phone down and drives to Aaliya's place. When Kripa gets to Aaliya's place she finds the door unlocked. Kripa walks in and right into the kitchen to pitch her glass of water. And after that she walks into Aaliya's room. Aaliya sits there drowned into her book.

"Aaliya, at least lock your door!" Aaliya is startled and throws the book in the air. When she sees Kripa in front of her she holds her heart and takes a breath.

"Kripa, you do that again and you're dead!"

"Well, be glad it's only me, and not someone else. Don't you know how to lock your door???"

"Whatever forget that and have a seat."

Aaliya's house was empty. Everything was packed to leave for college tomorrow. "What's up and what are you doing here?"

"Aaliya? Remember I told u!"

"Told me what?" Kripa just looks at Aaliya, giving her a blank stare and then, "Oh! Now I remember, you had a date with you dream man Angad Khanna! How was it?"

"First of, it wasn't a date and secondly it was great!"

"Where did u guys go?"

"Hard Rock caf!"

"And where is he now?"

"On his way to France!"

"What? What is he doing in France?"

"Some official work."

"And I know you're disappointed!"

"That's not new; even Angad could read that on my face!"

"Kripa…"

"What?"

"You miss him, you like being around him, you like talking to him-"

"Ya so??"

"Kripa, your such an idiot, all this only indicated one thing."

"Which is?"

Aaliya takes a deep breath and then tells Kripa, "Kripa you love Angad Khanna! You have loved him from the day you saw him in Pre-Cal."

"What the hell? That's not true. Who said?"

"Sweetheart, your eyes say it all!"

"Do not! I have never looked at Angad in that way. He's a great friend. I like being around him and stuff because I can relate to him, I can talk to me, and he can talk to me! There's nothing more! And we will not talk about him Again. Angad can never be the guy of my dreams."

"Whatever you say Kripa! But I think that Angad Khanna will be the guy who every girl would want to marry, including you. He's the one person who will always support you. And you know something, he understands you just as well as I understand you and you understand me. If all this is not love, then I can say this for sure, it's not only friendship. It's way beyond that!" As Aaliya finishes the phone rings and she gets up to receive it, while Aaliya's words echo back in her mind. Kripa gets up from there and leaves her place.

"I can't possible love Angad Khanna!" She sat in her car and drove away.

Dilip sat in his study that night with a notice in his hand, which told them they were in debt. And a big one. They couldn't pay it off even if they sold there house and a few very worthy properties. Dilip was not concerned about anything right now but Kripa. Dilip and Damani both loved Kripa very much. And they realized that they didn't give Kripa the love and time she deserved. Even thought Kripa was angry at her parents rude with them at times they both understood why. And at this point in life they also understood there was no point in talking to her. It was too late. And indeed maybe it was, but at the same time Dilip had hope that someday he would be able to take her darling, the most wonderful daughter in his arms and tell her that she was indeed the most darling, the best daughter a father could ever dream of.

Kripa on the other hand had the same dream. She sat with her diary in her lap and thought back to the little time she did spend with her parents. Kripa had her arguments with her parents but she still loved and respected them. She was afraid to show this because she thought that she might create hope for herself, that some day she could actually enjoy a nice dinner with her parents, and discuss her future plans with them. She was afraid that at the end every hope she had would just remain a hope, a wish that would never come true. Kripa put her dairy away in her drawer and got up to fetch herself something to eat. Kripa hadn't ate anything because she was still upset about Aaliyas' comment while, Dilip and Damani were just tensed. Kripa is about to walk into the kitchen when she sees the study's light open. She walks in there and finds Dilip sleeping on his chair. Kripa nods her head in disappointment and walks into the study. "He can't even rest properly!" She takes his glasses off for him and takes his book from his lap when Dilip wakes up and sees Kripa. "I'm sorry Dad, I woke you up!"

"It's ok darling!"

"Well, I'll leave you must have loads of work to do!" She scoffed.

"Kripa."

"Yes Dad."

"Sit with me for some time? I don't have thing to do."

"Sure?"

"Yes." Kripa and Dilip sit on the sofa and Dilip just looks at Kripa and holds her hand in his. "Kripa, when you were born Damani and I was the happiest people. And at that time we thought we got everything. And we did. But our greed for success just made us ignore you. And I'm very sorry for that. I know you never received the love, the attention, and the care you deserved. And today I know it's too late to make up for it." Tears ran down Kripa's cheeks and to her this was just like a dream. She actually was sitting down with her father and talking to him. Dilip noticed the tears in Kripa's eyes and wiped them for her. "I know that I haven't been the best Dad but-" before he could continue Kripa interrupts him.

"Dad, you are the greatest Dad. Maybe it was my fault maybe I should have pulled your hand and made you sit with me and tell you what was happening in my life." Kripa wipes Dilips' tears and holds his hand in hers now. "And that's exactly what's going to happen today! You are going to have dinner with me!"

"Kripa I'm not hungry."

"I don't care, it's my day, I go away for college tomorrow, and can't we have dinner together?"

"Anything for you beta." Kripa doesn't know what she's doing but she puts her arms around Dilip and gives him the best hug a daughter could gives his father.

"I love you Dad."

"I love you too beta!" And stood there Damani at the door with tears in her own eyes.

A week passes by in a flash. Kripa is sunk in homework and projects her first week. And finally when it's Friday night she can finally breathe and pace herself a little slower. She lays in her bed listening to her I-pod, and then stares at the bed beside her. It's empty. She doesn't have a roommate yet. She likes it at the same time hates it. In the past week Kripa got much closer to her parents she had dinner with them every night in the past week and her life was going just perfect. She talked to Angad a few times as well. He was doing great and he was coming back tonight. Kripa glanced at her watch and realized that he plane must have landed by now. And at the same time she knows its time for her to have dinner, but tonight with Josh and Aaliya because Dilip and Damani were out for a few hours tonight. Kripa waited at Hard Rock for Aaliya and Josh, but they didn't arrive. Instead she saw Anagd come her way. In total shock she stood up and smiled brightly as she walked to him. Angad pulled her arm and took her out of the caf.

"Angad, what a surprise! What brings you here?" Now Kripa notices the look on Angad's face. His eyes are red which makes it very clear he has been crying, and his face is pale. "Angad, what's wrong? Are you ok?"

"K-k-kripa."

"Angad your scaring the hell out of me, what happened?"

"Kripa your parents-"

"My parents? What happened to them?"

"Kripa, I'm really sorry."

"Angad just shut-up and tell me what happened to them?"

"They are in the hospital; they met with an accident about two hours ago. Aaliya and Josh are there as well." The floor slipped from under Kripa and she stood there with a blank stare and shock covered her face. "Kripa are you ok?" Kripa started to loose her balance, the place went round and she felt light headed. Angad quickly held her quickly and supported her.

"I'm fine Angad; please take me to the hospital please."

"Ok." And within minutes Kripa and Angad were at the hospital. Kripa quickly rushed into the ICU and found both her parents covered in bandages. She was about to proceed towards them when she stops and finds Dilip smiling at her.

"I'm sorry Kripa!" He whispers. Kripa slowly walks to him and sits next to him holding his hand.

"Dad, nothing is going to happen to you! You and Mom are going to be backing home within a few days!"

"The doctors have given up, and there's no hope."

"What not, and who are they to decide?" Screamed Kripa, getting up, and knocking a few medicines on the floor. Angad quickly ran in and held Kripa from her shoulders. "Angad, tell him that nothing's going to happen to him. He can't leave me like this. I have so much to tell me. They both have to make up for the time they missed." And suddenly the room fills with a long beep sound. Kripa freezes in horror. Her blood freezes within her and her eyes widen in horror. She holds on to Angad's arm tightly. A clan of doctors come running in. All of them checking on Dilip. Kripa slowly turns and looks at her mothers and realizes she has been laying there dead for a long time.

"I'm sorry ma'am but he's no more." The doctors state in a rather calm manner.

"What do you mean he's no more? He can't just leave me. He promised me so many thing!" Kripa rushes to her father and shakes his dead body. "Dad, you can't just leave me. You have promised to support me until my time came to an end." Kripa continues to shake his father. Who just lay there with a smile on his face? The doctors slowly left the room one by one. Angad walked up to Kripa and held her with one hand. While he ran his other hand over Dilip's eyes closing them. Kripa turns around and berried her face in Angad's stomach weeping and at the same time saying, "He can't leave me like this. He just can't." She repeated.

Another week passed by and Kripa had started to ignorer her health completely. She had drowned her self in projects and labs. She would spend her days in her room or working in the library. If it wasn't the library it was the quite empty lab late at nights. Depression was eating Kripa inside. She didn't talk to anyone. Not even Angad. She would go out with him occasionally but sit in front of him like a corps. He would talk for hours and Kripa would just sit there not listening half the time. A smile hadn't crossed her lips in days. If any emotion took over her face it was tears and sadness. If she even tried to force a smile, it wouldn't happen. Instead she would break down and cry herself to sleep.

Dilip and Damani left Kripa with only fifteen thousand pounds. They were in debt and all there properties were sold. What was left was 15 thousand pounds, and Kripa's baby Ashton Martin, which she also sold. Kripa was once the richest girl and today she was one of the poorest. She had to think three times before purchasing something. And financial problem took over her even more. That's when she decided that she will go and look for a job.

Another nice month passed and Kripa didn't get a job, and she refused to work with Angad. And to add to add to her problems she found out that a girl named Anjali was moving into the dorm with her.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 6

Kripa's room like always was dark, and she sat near her window reading under the moonlight, she tried to concentrate but her mind kept drifting back to her parents' death. She placed her book against her chest and rested her head against the window. She closed her tired eyes but as soon as they closed darkness loomed and all she could see her helpless father standing in front of her. Like most girls Kripa was closer to her father than mother. And she felt more for him because he died in front oh her very own eyes. Kripa quickly opened her eyes and tears trickled down her cheeks. She held her book tighter against her and cried in silence. At this moment she wished that someone was with her and she could cry holding them. Josh was out of town with his father, Aaliya had to leave as she was elected to go to Harvard University to conduct a science project, and Angad he hadn't seen Kripa for two weeks now. When Kripa tried to contact him she found out he was out for a trip. And she was very upset, Josh and Aaliya had told her before they left, but Angad, he didn't mention a word to Kripa.

Kripa drifted away into her thought once again, this time the fact she still hasn't found a job when there was a soft knock at the door. Kripa looked at her off-white colored door which matched perfectly with her off-white walls, and stood up. She slowly walked to her door and opened it. She was utterly surprised when stood before her Angad Khanna. She was seeing him after almost two weeks. Angad had been out for the past two week on another business trip he couldn't avoid. Expect the difference was this time was he hadn't tell Kripa before he left. Kripa wiped her tears and welcomed him in. Angad slowly came in and looked around the dark room. The room was very much unlike Kripa. Dark, and all black, everything in the room was black expect the walls. Her bed set were a silk black. And the very little furniture she had was also a rich black. And ironically Kripa stood in front of Angad wearing black. Kripa stood there motionless and quite while Angad observed the room, and finally he faced Kripa and took one step towards her.

"How are you doing Kripa?" He asked in a hushed yet concerned voice. Kripa just looked at him for a second and then moved her dry lips to answer.

"Why do you care Angad?" She whispered in a dry voice, but at the same time unsteady.

"Kripa I-" he said taking another step forward, but before he could continue Kripa put her hand out and moved back one step.

"You heard me right Mr. Angad Khanna. How do you care? Where were you for the past two weeks. The time I needed someone by me the most everyone left me. Josh and Aaliya I understand but you. I don't know what to say Anagd, I really don't."

"Kripa at least give me a chance." Kripa ran a upset hand thought her hair and looked at Angad taking a deep breath.

"Just leave me alone Angad."

"Kripa I-"

"Leave Angad, please" She begged. "Just leave." Angad turned around and silently walked towards the door, and before closing it whispered;

"Kripa I'm always there when you need me." The next thing Kripa heard was a silent 'click' of the door. She moved backward towards the wall crying, when her back pinned the wall she slid to the floor. She pulled her knees up to her chest, and hugged them, and cried silently for hours.

Angad on the other hand walked barefooted on the beach watching the sun set in front of him. He moved himself on a fairly large rock and viewed the setting sun. He loved all the beautiful colors of the setting sun. Each color spoke to him, the blurred orange and the faded red. At this moment every dark color reminded Anagd of every tear that dropped from Kripa's eyes. His heart wounded with a new stab, when he thought that Kripa cried, and this time due to him. He was the reason today she stood in front of him crying. Her eyes floating with tears stood in front of him. He closed his eyes tightly, pressing his hand against the rock he sat upon. Red gushed from his hand, and tears ran from his eyes, he punished himself for hurting Kripa.

*******

A week later, Kripa dressed herself in a black with silver stripes dress pants and a white collared shirt. She looked at herself in the mirror. Dark circles formed under her eyes due to the lack of sleep. Her eyes wrinkled, and her over all appearance looked very tired. She sighed and pulled her hair out of the pony. She sat on the bed and ran both hands thought her hair, pushing it of her face. Her heartbeat was rapid; she was under the tension of losing yet another job. Yes, Kripa had just got back from yet another failed job interview at the London Times. She sat there quietly breathing heavily trying her best not to cry again. Finally she gathered herself up and stood up to draw herself a bath. She is about to enter the bathroom when there's a loud knock on the door. Cursing under her breath Kripa opens the door, and finds a faculty member in front of her. And beside her a young lady. Her beautiful brunet colored hair hung down her back with soft curls the ends making her look even more elegant. She wore a fringed white colored skirt and a black laced top. She smiled politely at Kripa and held out her hand and spoke for the first time.

"Hi, I'm Anjali, your roommate!"

Kripa was not happy that she would have to share her room with a complete stranger. Finally after a long silent and awkward pause the faculty member spoke.

"Kripa, I know this is short notice but we couldn't help it. You're the only student who has an empty room."

Kripa trying to be as polite as possible smiles.

"It's ok Ma'am, I have not problem sharing my room with Anjali!"

"Great then." She turned to Anjali, "If you need anything feel free to ask Kripa or anyone else around. The students would be more than happy to help you out."

"Thanks Ma'am!" Replied Anjali. Kripa noticed how calm she was. Her posture, her warm eyes showing care, everything about this Anjali was so appealing. With this the faculty left and Kripa invited Anjali.

Kripa's room like always was dark. The curtains were drawn and the room just looked depressing. Anjali put her bags down and turned to Kripa.

"Kripa, that's your name rite?"

"Yes, my name is Kripa."

"Nice to meet you Kripa, I'm Anjali as I told you earlier. Can I ask you a question Kripa?"

"Sure go ahead."

"Why is so dark in here?"

Kripa's face sulks and Anjali notices it.

"I'm sorry, did I say something wrong?"

"No you didn't. I just like it this way."

"Ok! Well Kripa, I'm a science student here."

"Me too!"

"Well that's nice! Now if you don't mind, can you show me around?"

"Sure! If you don't mind can I freshen up?"

"Sure!"

Kripa freshens up until Anjali makes her self comfy, and unpacks. About thirty minutes later Kripa comes back out looking much better. Her wrinkles under her eyes are there but the dark circles are now covered by foundation. She looks but casual and calm in her jeans and a black turtle neck with a leather jacket on top of it. Her dark brown hair hung loosely on her black jacket.

Anjali by now has fixed everything. Her cloths are neatly set in her closet and she sits on her bed, under a blue throws spread on her legs, reading Nicholas Sparks. Kripa sighs as she thinks back to the last time she sat down and read Mr. Sparks. Kripa loved him and his writing style.

"Anjali?"

"Yes." She replies still drowned into her book.

"Are you ready?" Now she looks up and smiles.

"Of course!" She puts her book away, neatly folds the throw and slips into her black slipper and they both exit the dorm.

Kripa takes Anjali to all the shopping centers, cafes, and shows her around to other places where she can enjoy, like pubs and clubs.

And after all the roaming around the large city the two finally end up at Hard Rock Caf. Kripa doesn't want to be as the place reminds her of all the times she spent with Angad. The place was packed on that fine Friday evening. And the only spot left was that same table that Angad and Kripa shared.

The Two took a seat at the fine table, Kripa thought about Angad while Anjali looked around. Kripa hadn't seen Angad from the night when Angad came to see her. Kripa wished she wouldn't have said all that to him, but she was still angry at Angad for leaving her at a crucial time of her life. Kripa knew she needed him, more than anyone else, more than Aaliya and more than Josh. She need Angad Khanna. The guy who she crushed on the day she met him. But for her it was no more that a crush, or at least that what she thought. It was more than a crush. "Kripa, you here?" Kripa snapped out of her thought and looked at Anjali. Suddenly Anjali stood up, and the she puts her arms around a strong man. She parted from him and slipped one hand around his arm. "Kripa meet Angad." Kripa couldn't believe her ears or eyes as she slowly stood, her eyes frozen on Angad.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 7

"Hi Kripa." Angad's voice was just as polite and warm as it was that cold night. Kripa tried to talk back to him, her lips moved, but she was mute. Air filled her lungs and she couldn't talk, she was embarrassed and at the same time sad to see Angad so close to another girl but her, she felt jealous.

"Kripa, Angad is my best friend, I've known him from ages now, we have done so much together, I don't anyone can understand us better than each other." Anjali's words struck Kripa's heart. She wanted to be the one who understood him the most, the best. Finally, Kripa gathered some courage and smiled at the two.

"I'm sorry guys, but I can't stay, I have a few assignments due tomorrows. And Anjali you have found Angad now, he can drop you back. You'll do that Angad, won't you?"

Angad's face sulked, but he quickly replied, "Of course I will."

"Thanks Angad, I'll leave Anjali." Kripa hung her purse on her shoulder and rushed out the caf wiping the tears from her lovely brown eyes.

Kripa walked on the streets of London, extremely busy. It was late October and it would start snowing any time soon. The Christmas sprit was starting to fill the air, laughter roamed on the streets. Joy hung from everyone's eyes expect one person's, Kripa. She was like the person in the crowed who wore Black while everyone wore Pink.

Kripa wiped her tears and walked past stores, normally she would stop at the windows and look at the things giving her, "aww how cute" or "oh that's ugly." Comments. But now it was different. Kripa entered the dorm and threw her purse on the floor and fell on the bed crying. Her face was buried in her pillow and her hair was everywhere. She just lay there crying feeling horrible when she felt someone's hand on her back. Kripa froze and slowly got up and saw Angad standing there. Kripa lowered her head like a little girl who was caught committing a vague crime. Angad sat in front of her and lifted her head. Kripa looked at him now with tears still running out of her eyes. Angad sighed and placed one hand on her cheek and moved closer to her.

"Angad I'm-"

Angad delicately placed his index finger on her lips, "Ssshhh. Kripa you hurt me dearly, your words hit my heart like bricks," Kripa started to cry even more now. She could cry a river at this point. "I had thought I would never come next you again, but when I saw the pain in your eyes at the caf I knew you were sorry." He places his other hand on Kripa's cheeks, his bandaged hand, the hand he hurt for Kripa. Kripa quickly takes his hand in her and looks at Angad worried.

"Angad, what happened to you?"

"It's nothing Kripa." Kripa looked at Angad who was looking out the window at this point. More tears ran down Kripa's eyes as she realized how he hurt his hand.

"Why do you do this to me Angad? Tum kyun mera saath aaisa kartha ho?" Angad looks at Kripa with an apologetic look in his eyes. "Why did you hurt your self for me Angad." But Angad still doesn't reply. "Angad, if you don't want to talk to me you can leave." She slips her hand away from his and walks away, hoping Angad would come to her and pamper her. But instead he gets up and leaves the room. "Angad." He stops at the door. "Anjali?"

"She stopped at the school library, she said she will be late."

"Ok! Angad?"

"Yes Kripa?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For being rude with you?"

"It's ok Kripa. Can I go now?"

"No you can't go Angad."

"Then what do you want me to do?"

"I want you to walk to me."

Angad walks to her and stands in front of her. "Then?"

"You are going to say sorry to me."

"Why?" He blurted in a arrogant voice.

"Do as I say."

"Fine, I'm sorry. Now?"

Tears spill from Kripa eyes as she says the last things, "I want my sweetest, my best, my most adorable friends to hug me tightly."

"What if he doesn't want to." He took a step closet.

"Then he can leave with the truth to never see me again."

"What if he want to see you everyday, till the time he takes his last breath." He took one more step closer, and cupped her face with his hands.

"Then he better hug me."

"What if he asks you for something before that." He wipes her tears.

"Then he better make it quick."

"He doesn't want his best, his beautiful, his most charming and intelligent friend to cry ever again. He wants to see a smile on her lips and a joy in her eyes."

"What if she says that she can't promise but will try?"

"Then he's still ready to hug her tightly and make up for the fight they had." Tears run down both there eyes and Kripa wiping his tears says, "Then what is he waiting for?" Angad smiles and tightly hugs Kripa. Tears still run down both there eyes yet there's a smile that has placed on there lips. There heart beats rapidly and they both wish this moment would never end and they could stand there holding each other forever. But they both quickly part when they hear the door slowly opening, and comes in Anjali.

"Angad, what are you doing here?"

Angad quickly wipes his tears while Kripa wipes hers. "Oh nothing just stopped by."

"Um… You guys already know each other?"

"Yes!" They both blurt in excitement.

"Oh! And how come Anagd I don't know about a Kripa in your life?"

"Because, we just met after a long three year separation."

"Ya.. Now Angad, before someone catches you here how about you leave?"

"Ok! Bye Anjali, Kripa." The two girls smile and Anjali enters the bathroom and leaves Kripa and Angad alone.

"Will my best friend walk me out?"

"Of course she will."

Five minutes later the two stand out side Oxford University in front of Angad's car.

"Thanks Angad."

"For what?"

"For being there for me." Angad takes a deep breath and holds Kripa's hand.

"Look Kripa, I have known you for, what, about seven years now. And never in that time I have seen you so desperate, so upset. I can listen to each heartbeat and I know what you feel. Each time you breath I know what you feel. And I know my Kripa Kapoor as the hyper, larger than life character. Not a sad, always drowned in books Kripa." They both just look at each other for some time, the moon glistens on Kripa's face, Angad can see that she is tired. She hasn't slept properly for days. "Kripa, can I ask you for a favor?"

"Anything Angad."

"Sleep in tomorrow. Don't attend any of your classes."

"What, are you mad?"

"If you want to think so, sure."

"Angad, be serious."

"I am dear. Look Kripa, your eyes tell me you haven't slept for days."

"So?" Kripa was talking like the old Kripa now, arrogant, angry at the tip of her nose at all times. Angad smiles hearing that same passion in her voice, he walks beside her and puts his arm around her.

"Because, my sweet jaan, tomorrow is National Day, everything is closed, but if one wants they can attend classes. But you don't have to, it doesn't count against you. I know I have been in your place, and trust me I always slept in even when I didn't need to. But you sweetheart really need it."

Kripa turns to Angad and hugs him once again. "Angad I love you for being there for me, but I have…" Angad parts from her.

"Nothing doing Kripa. Your sleeping all day tomorrow, and if you even strain your self I will burn your books and throws, and flush the ashes down the toilet."

"Ok baba, I'll so as you say. Happy now?"

"Very!"

"But can I at least read a book?"

"For pleasure?"

"Duh!"

"Of course!"

"Thank You, your honor."

"May I leave now?"

"Of course you may!"

"Thanks! Take Care Kripa."

"Angad, don't you think your to formal?"

"Um… ya!" He bends over and kisses Kripa's forehead. "But I mean it Kripa, if you don't take care of you, I wont be able to take care of me. And that will upset you and my dadi! Understood?"

Kripa nods sweetly and they both move there own ways."

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 8

Kripa walked back to her room happily. She was glad everything was fine between the two again. Kripa got to her room and found Anjali already sleeping. Kripa changed into her night suit and then checked the watch to see what time it was, 9:30. "I can still get a coffee!" she thought. She grabbed her jacket and went down to the canteen. She saw a few friends and greeted them happily and most of them were happy so see a happy Kripa. Kripa got her self a large mug of Coffee and made her way back to her room. She dims the lights, shuts the windows, and turns the heater on and sits down in her bed. She reaches for her book, and relaxes in bed, she opens it and falls out that picture of Angad and her that was in Angad's wallet.

"Oh! I forgot to give him his wallet back." She looks at the picture and smiles, then takes his wallet out and sticks it back in there. She holds her coffee in one hand and her book in the other and reads with a happy mind after a long time. She sips on her warm espresso every once in a while. Kripa has enjoyed reading Nicholas Sparks, side by side with Angad, who introduced her to him. And after a long wait of three months she finally reads his second latest book, "True Believer."

But every few minutes her mind would drift back to Angad and all the events that have took place in her life in the past few months. She sticks in a bookmark in her book and holds her coffee mug between her hands. She relaxed her self against the soft cushion of her pillow. Before she knew it her coffee was done, she put her cup away and pulled her pillow from her under holding it close to her hugging it tightly.

Kripa was one of those girls who fantasized a lot. The whole theory of your dream man sweeping you of you feet someday, and living happily ever after with him was true for her. What was desperate to know was who the dream man, Angad was perhaps. But then she would laugh at her self and carry on not realizing that she just doesn't have the 'hots' for Angad like most girls but it's more than that. She has looked at Angad above and beyond his sexy, passionate looks.

Kripa sat there sunk in thought about Angad, her heart in a turmoil, when the ring of her phone fills the air and her concentration breaks. She scolds herself for such silly thoughts and then picks the phone up.

"Hello."

"Kripa!" Screamed Aaliya on the phone side.

"Aaliya, wow. What's up, finally found time for me."

"Don't be silly I'm coming back tomorrow, our project is completed and I have great news for you." Aaliya's voice was loud and cheerful, as if she had just found the love of her life, or she was getting married very soon.

"That's great, we'll see you tomorrow then."

"Sure! Bye Kripa, and take care of your self."

"I will, you do the same."

"I will as well, bye."

"Bye." After hanging up the phone Kripa went back to her book, this time not distracted by Angad clouding her mind.

Angad on the other hand sat in front of the fire in a rocking chair. A smile crossed his face, his eyes were gently shut, and he too thought about Kripa. His beautiful smile, her glowing eyes lingered in his head. His trance was broken when his dadi softly kissed his forehead. Angad slowly opened his eyes and found his grandmother standing in front of him. He quickly stood up.

"My sweet baccha, I'm happy to see a smile on your face after such a long time." Angad makes his dadi sit down and places his head in her lap. "Who is she beta?"

"Who is who dadi?" Angad tried his best to keep a calm in his voice but his dadi knew him to well.

"Angad, I know you very well. In the past years if you have thought about someone and have been happy about it its that same person. The problem is I don't know who she is."

"Dadi really, its no one."

"If you say so jaan, but I don't wish me believe you." Angad sighed and looked up at his dadi. Her eyes were warm and Angad always felt wonderful with her. She just kept looking at him with inquisitive eyes.

"Oh fine Dadi. I can never win against you." He complained.

"No you can't. Now tell me who is that lucky girl whom you have loved for so long?"

Angad sighed and got up and walked to the window and then turned back around. "Dadi, she's not lucky to have me, I'm lucky to have her." Dadi walks to Angad and kisses his forehead once again.

"Then what's the problem?"

"I don't think she has ever felt the same way about me."

"Have you told her?"

Angad wrinkled his nose, his eyes squinted and he answered in a meek voice, "No."

"Well there's you problem love."

"But dadi-"

"No ifs and no buts."

"At least listen to me."

"Ok, tell me."

"Dadi, I love Kripa, I have loved her from the day we meet. Of course I didn't know that until later but I have always cared for her. But I'm scared to tell her."

"What beta?'

"The day she find out the truth about me she will hate me."

"She won't, and you have to try, or you'll never find out."

"That's true, but if she rejects me, I'll loose hope forever."

"Well your going to loose her even of you don't tell her."

"I guess your rite dadi." Angad looks out the window and smiles at what he sees.

"The first snowfall of this winter is here!" Dadi looks out as well and smiles watching the soft snowflakes kiss the floor.

***************

Next morning just as Angad had told Kripa, she was sleeping in. The clock read 9:30 A.M. and she was still sleeping. Anjali has just got out from the shower and she is draped in a pink bathrobe when there a knock on the door. Anjali drying her hair opens the door and finds Aaliya standing in front of her.

"Is Kripa here?" Inquired Aaliya.

"Come in." Invited Anjali.

Aaliya hesitates and comes in, she finds Kripa sleeping like an angel, waiting for her love to kiss her and wake her up from her sleep.

"How did this happen?"

Anjali looked confused and asked, "What happen?"

"Um… Nothing, and by the way who are you?"

"Oh," Aaliya said cheerfully, "I'm Anjali, Kripa's roommate." She put her hand out and asked Aaliya, "Who are you?"

Shaking hands, "I'm Aaliya, nice to meet you Anjali. I'm Kripa's friend and a student here at Oxford."

"Oh! Nice to meet you."

"Same here Anjali, when Kripa wakes up please tell her to drop by, and if you wish you may join her."

"Oh it's ok, I wouldn't want to be a kabab main haadi."

Aaliya laughed, said her bye and left.

******

Around 12, Kripa is still sleeping when her phone rings. Anjali quickly runs and picks up her cell.

"Hello."

"Kripa?" Inquired the other person.

"Is that Angad?"

"Ya."

"Angad, it's Anjali."

"Oh, hi Anjali. Where's Kripa?"

"She's still sleeping."

"That's good, let her, don't wake her up."

"Ok, bye."

As soon as Anjali puts the phone down Kripa slowly opens her eyes and searches her arms to the ceiling. And smiles at Anjali.

"Rise and Shine, Madam Kripa!"

"Good Morning Anjali!"

"Actually Kripa, its good afternoon, the clock had already stroke twelve."

"What?"

"Yes!" Kripa's eyes were wide, and she couldn't believe she slept in for so late.

"Has Aaliya come?"

"Yes, she said to go meet her once your up."

"Oh crap." She jumps out of bed and runs into the shower.

******

An hour later she stood in front of Aaliya dorm door. She caught her breath and knocked on the door. Aaliya opened the door and smiled her, hugged her and they both left for a coffee house.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 9

Kripa and Aaliya sat in Mrs. London's caf. The snow was falling blissfully outside, the trees were covered with snow. London looked like heaven covered in white. Little kids roamed on the streets with there mothers, crying, laughing, some complaining about buying something. While some picked up snow, and threw snow balls on each other. Kripa looked out from Mrs. London's caf and saw all this, and a smile just spread across her face.

Aaliya saw Kripa smile after a long time. And she was happy for her, what she didn't understand was what changed all this. She had a feeling but she wanted it to be sure. "Kripa."

Kripa slowly took her gaze off the streets and looked at Aaliya. There was something different about Aaliya as well. She looked extremely beautiful, it wasn't that she was unattractive, but today here face covered with a new, a different glow. Kripa snapped put of her thought when Aaliya snapped her figures in front of her face. "You still here?"

"Yes, sorry Aaliya."

"It's ok."

Aaliya tilted her face a little and observed Kripa, and her soft featured face. Kripa's eyes smiled at Aaliya as she asked her, "Where are you lost now?"

Aaliya smiled and rubbed her hands together, "Miss. Kripa Kapoor, tell me what has changed you so much in the past week. I talked to you a week back you sounded depressed as hell, and look at your self today, it seems like nothing happened. Yeh kisska jaado hai?"

"Don't be silly Aaliya," Kripa scoffed, "it's nothing like that. I have just decided to live life differently."

"Not for your self, Kripa, any one can look into those eyes and tell you are living for someone else."

A camera shutter clicked and Kripa quickly covered her face, but it was too late. Kripa looked over Aaliya shoulder and saw Josh and Angad standing there, Angad with a camera. Kripa took a deep breath, and stood up. Aaliya looked the other way and stood up as well. Josh walked to Aaliya and they both hugged, and sat down. Kripa glared at Angad's camera and then at Angad.

"Oh please Kripa, don't get started again, we just over came a fight, we don't need another one."

"You know Angad," She said as she slipped one arm around him and gave him a quick hug, "your right. Just make sure that picture comes right into my hand." The two take a seat next to each other, Angad is about to deepen the conversation when Josh stops them.

"Halt!" He screamed. The three looked at him, and he smiled at Kripa and Angad. Kripa noticed how close Josh and Aaliya were sitting, but she decided to ignore this.

"What Josh?"

"Issa pelha tum dono ek deep argument main kho jao, we have to tell you something."

Kripa raised one eye brow, and Angad looked at him inquisitively.

"What's the matter?" Questioned Angad.

"We are-" Said Josh

"Getting-" Said Aaliya.

"MARRIED!" They both screamed. Kripa nor Angad could believe there ears. They both slowly stood up, there eyes popped out.

"Oh just sit down, both of you." Snapped Aaliya.

"How did this happen?" Cried Kripa.

"It just happened, we spend time together in London and it just happened."

"Aaliya, dear, how can you be so casual about it? Are you sure it's love?" Kripa was a materialistic women, there was a small girl with in her which believed in fair tales but she had faced the harsh reality that nothing happens happily ever after. There is always a problem, even after death, you left behind problems.

"Oh, get a life Kripa." Snapped Aaliya once again, just because you can't love, or learn to love someone doesn't mean everyone has to do the same. Just because you can't trust someone doesn't mean no one in the world should." Tears swelled in Kripa's eyes as Aaliya words struck Kripa's heart. Aaliya continued, "There are men in this world you look beyond the physical relation, and Josh is one of them Aaliya. And how can you not be sure, you have known him longer, much better than I do. How can you say something so juvenile Kripa?"

"Stop it Aaliya." Angad's eyes raged in fire, as he shot a disgusted look at her. Kripa stood up and ran out of the caf, crying, balling. Angad put his camera down and ran behind her.

Kripa walked faster and faster, the wind hit her face, almost allowing her tears to freeze, the snow kissed her face, and the wind made her walk slower. When she heard Anagd calling her, she wiped her tears and walked faster. Now Angad ran faster behind her and finally managed to catch up to her. He captured her wrist, and took her to his place. Kripa kept on crying, Angad looked around for Dadi but she wasn't there yet. Kripa struggled to free her self but Angad's grip was tight.

"Angad please let go of me, I don't want to see you right now. Everyone hates me, I'm responsible for every mishap that takes place in the people's life around me. Angad you also stay away from me as I might even mess up your life for you. Angad I-" Before Kripa could continue Angad wiped a tight slap across her face.

"Just shut-up Kripa, just Shut-up ok. I've had enough of you crap alright. There is a limit of everything and you have crossed that limit." Out of shock Kripa had stopped crying now. Angad closed his eyes in pain for hurting Kripa. He opened them again and looked at Kripa. He held her hand and made her sit on the sofa. He sat on the floor beside her, and looked on the floor. "I'm sorry Kripa."

Kripa slowly moves and sits down on he warm beige carpet beside Angad. "No I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said anything at the first place. Aaliya is right, just because no man can ever love me, doesn't mean no one else can be loved."

Angad closed his eyes in pain. "Kripa, everyone loves you, everyone but your self, you have choose to eat your self and think the way you do. And no one can change that but you. You and only you Kripa. Come on now get up." Angad made Kripa stand up and pitched her a glass of water. She quickly gulped it down and stood up.

"I'll leave Angad, thanks."

"Kripa." Angad captured her hand and looked into her eyes, "You will find the man who will love you someday, I will find him for you, and that's my promise." A dash of pain crossed Kripa's face thinking back to Angad's words, I will find him for you, Kripa runs into her arms and hugs him tightly.

I don't think you will have to Angad, I think I have already found him. The thought wandered Kripa's mind as she smiled to herself. The front door opened slowly and the lovely pair parted. Anagd looks the other way to see Dadi standing in front of her.

"Dadi! Kripa, meet my sweet , sweet Dadi, and Dadi meet Kripa." Kripa bends to touch Dadi's feet but Dadi doesn't allow her to and instead holds her close, kissing her forehead and hugs her with every emotion of love within her.

"I've heard a lot about you Kripa, sit here I will be right back." Dadi left the room, while Kripa wiped her tears.

"Aa, ab tumko kya hua?"

"Angad, aaj mujhko pata chala hai ki Ma ka pyaar kya hota hai. How much warmth run in a mother touch is what I have experienced just now for the first time. And once again Thanks to you, Angad really, if you weren't here I would have been dead-"

Angad quickly covers her mouth and nods his head. "Kripa, if I have anyone after Dadi it's you, and I wouldn't want to loose either one of you."

"Then I promise, I will stand beside you under the sun, and moon. I will sit beside you in your best and worst." Angad's deep dark eyes hold Kripa for a few seconds and then finally the trance is broken with a light thunder outside. Kripa quickly holds Angad's arm. The lights flicker in the whole house, and shut down. Angad reaches in his pocked and takes a lighter out lighting a candle, he holds it between Kripa and him. Kripa's chocolate brown eyes stand out under the glow of the candle. Angad puts the candle down and crawls slowly towards Kripa. He holds her face, and brings his lips closer, when another lightning strikes, Kripa is traumatized and she throws her arms around once again. They hold each other for some time, until finally the light turn back on. Kripa slowly opens her eyes and starts to withdraw her hands and pulls away when she finds her necklace stuck to Angad's shirt buttons. They both move there hand to untangle but instead Angad's hand grasps a hold of Kripa's hand. While one hand holds Kripa's hand, his other hand untangles the necklace for her, and then he lets go of Kripa's hand.

Kripa, modestly turns around.

"I'll walk you to your college Kripa." Angad grabs his jacket and they both head outside. The snow still falls, brushing against Kripa and Angad. Goosebumps run over Kripa's arms under her jacket. Angad puts one arm around Kripa and pulls her closer in an effort of keeping her warm. Kripa welcomes his arms around her and they both walk to Oxford University.
