Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 10

Kripa tapped on Aaliya door, which opened automatically. Kripa walked in, feeling shame for herself. Aaliya stood near her window looking at the snow and moon crying silently. Kripa walked to her and stood beside her. She stood there in silence for sometime and then placed her hand on top of Aaliya's. "I'm sorry Aaliya, I shouldn't have-" Before Kripa could continue Aaliya walks away and locks herself in the bathroom. A hopeless and helpless dragged her body back to her room, and sat on the bed when Anjali walked and sat beside her.

"Kripa, I can't say I know how you feel, because I don't but I can tell you something, give Aaliya sometime, she will be fine. Trust Me." Kripa looked at Anjali with moist eyes and hugged her tightly.

"Thanks a lot Anjali, thanks a lot."

"It's ok, now freshen up, I'll get something to eat from the canteen, and then your going to go to bed, other wise…."

"Otherwise?"

"Your lover Angad is going to kill me."

"LOVER?!"

"Well not really, he doesn't love you, he cares for you."

"Oh ok." Anjali made an exit and entered the bathroom. About thirty minutes later she came out wrapped in a towel. She opened her closet and pulled out a soft pair of pajama's with little yellow ducks on it, with a white and yellow tank top, and above all she slipped a long gray sweater which she tied lightly at her stomach. She brushed her hair when she saw a small package on the table for Kripa. She opened it and took out a few pictures. She looked thought them in utter shock, surprise, and joy all at the same time, they were picture of the grand event that was held by her parents. She flipped thought them and later saw a picture of Angad and herself, and a few picture of Prithvi and her, which bought no more than the feeling of disgust to her mind. She was not at all impressed with that man, and if today she was in this state it was because of his company 'Suraj.' The name of Suraj brought all the pain back of her parents death and worries. She took all those picture out and ripped them up, then she took out a few pictures of Angad and her together and carried them to the computer lab, scanned them and threw Angad an e-mail with the pictures and went back to her room. Anjali is still not back, until then Kripa takes a lab she has been working on and reviews a few, she turns on her computer, when her IM automatically sings her in, and pop-ups a message. Kripa clicks accept to read it, it's from Angad. Just the thought of Angad beings a smile on her face and her heart jumps. She reads the message which simply says, not to stress, and thanks her for the picture she had send him about 15 minutes ago. Angad is still online, so she knows he's awake. She picks up her phone and dials his number.

Angad's phone vibrates on his bed, glowing blue and he picks it up, without looking at the ID he picks up the phone with a smile, "Hi Kripa."

"Tumko kaisa pata main ho?"

"Remember, I told you I know, I understand each breath you take." Kripa feels her cheeks burn, and blush. "I can feel you blushing right through the phone Kripa." Kripa is taken back by his words and tries to keep her cool.

"Very Funny Angad."

"It indeed is! Ok now tell me why you called."

"Do I really need a reason to call you?"

"Um… Of course not!" Kripa smiled. "But I need to ask you something." "Meet me tomorrow, I'll tell you."

"Where?" Asked Kripa

"Shopping mall, food courts, at twelve?"

"Perfect," Kripa saw Anjali walk in, "See you then!"

"Bye"

"Bye"

"So Miss. Kapoor, may I know why your cheeks are a color of crimson?"

"They are?"

"Yes they are!"

"Maybe I put to much blush on."

"Oh at least learn to lie properly." Cried Anjali.

"Ok fine, yes I was blushing! Wow," she said waving her hands in the air, "big deal is it?"

"Well," she puts the tray down and stood in front of Kripa with her hand on her hips, "depends why you were blushing. Why were you blushing Kripa?"

"Just like that."

"Ok! Come on lets eat."

******

Angad stood in a men's shop holding different t-shirts in his hand while Kripa looked through more of them and handing them to Anagd one by one.

"Uff Kripa, really we were here to discuss something, not shop for me, I have plenty of cloths for myself. Come on lets go now."

"Angad, what made you think I'm buying this for you?"

"Then for who are you buying these for."

"For the man I love!"

"WHAT?" Angad dropped all the shirts on the floor, and the whole store turned and looked at them.

Kripa was turning red and she quickly bent down to pick them up, Angd bent down as well and help her.

"Kripa, who is that idiot?" He whispered.

"No one Angad," they both stood up and Kripa puts the shirts neatly back, "I was just kidding, you didn't have to scream thought the whole store."

Angad titled his head like an innocent kid, "Sorry."

Kripa laughed, "It's ok." She hit her hand behind his head and holding on to his arm she said, "You're an idiot!"

"That's why I fit perfectly to be your friend!"

"Ah! Angad, don't you feel once for the poor soul before insulting me?"

"Of course I do! That's why I say what I do."

"Ya right, if this is caring then I wonder what's not caring."

"Ya, Ya, not if you don't mind can I ask you something?"

"Like you would listen if I said no."

"Well that's true. But it feels nice when you ask!"

"Your pathetic Angad." She cried as they both sat on the terrace of the food court. The snow was falling but mildly. And it felt nice to sit in the cold weather, sipping on a strong, hot espresso. And that's what they both did sitting there. Looking down on the streets, and sipping coffee they enjoyed each and every moment. "What did you want to ask me?"

"Well, Christmas break starts in a month, what do you guys want to do?"

"You guys, as in?"

"As in," Angad shifted his warm dark eyes in the cold, with a mischievous look, "as in Aaliya, Josh, and Anjali!"

Kripa raised a brow, "Jaan, don't you think your forgetting someone?"

"Of course I am!"

"Who?"

" My self!"

"Oh Angad, your preposterous, I feel pity for the girl who will love you!"

"You know what Kripa!"

"What Angad?"

"So do I!" Kripa sat there glaring at him frostily.

"You really are pathetic Angad. Come on seriously, what is your plan?"

"My plan is," he sipped on his espresso, "that Aaliya, Josh, Anjali, and I-" Kripa gave Angad another cold glance. "and of course you, we should go out, maybe Switzerland?"

"Sure, go ahead you can go, I prefer to stay."

"Why?" He asked in a mischievous voice.

"I don't want to be around YOU!"

"Oh that a lie Kripa."

"What makes you think that?"

"That fact that you face drops, and looses color when I tell you I'm leaving." Kripa pressed her lips together to prevent her smile, but her cheeks turned crimson, and she couldn't help blushing, but then quickly regaining her self, in a defensive voice she said, "No I don't. Who ever told you that is a looser."

"Well then I'm glad you admit that you're a looser, or actually looser sound rather harsh how about, um… lets see, how about-" Angad observed Kripa. And Kripa sat there looking at him in total disbelief. "No looser is fine!"

"Angad, your really to much, I care a damn if you stay with me or away from me."

Angad sloughed back into his chair. The snow has stopped falling, but it was still very icy. "Very well then, I will take you leave, and lets try to meet each other as less as possible." Angad got up and brushed past Kripa, but she caught his hand. Her eyes met his eyes, and Angad smiled like a spoiled brat. "So maybe you do care." Kripa twisted her lips, and let go of his hand. Angad's phone rings and he walks away to answer it.

"I care Angad, because I love you." Kripa smiled to her self as she watched Angad from far away talk on his phone. She placed her elbow on the tabled, and fixed her hand in her hair and dazed at him with passionate eyes, full of warmth, and love for him. She came our of her dream when Angad put his phone down and stuck out his tough at Kripa. She berried her head on the table, rolling her eyes. "He's never going to change!"

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 11

A good week passed by, Kripa kept on trying for jobs but nothing helped, and she still refused to work with Angad. Aaliya still wasn't talking to her, and this was what upset her the most. Her relation with Angad was not going anywhere because he was once more out of town the whole week. Kripa cursed him at times for being involved in such a business that needed this much of his time, and demands so much traveling. But that was the least of her concerns right now; she wanted to get Aaliya back first. And the only other person that could help her was Josh, who had already refused because Aaliya would have been angry with him. So she didn't have any hope. Anjali was gone out for a photograph assignment for a week. So Kripa was left all alone once again. And as she sat under the moon light, next to her window she once again thought about Angad. Kripa had never thought she would fall in love with Angad Khanna. But what scared her was weather he loved her as well. Yes he cared for her, but caring and loving were two different things.

Kripa sighed. She sat in her bed with no lights and the moon shining thought her window. She laid in her bed when she heard a knock on the door. She got up and opened it. She almost fainted in shock when she saw Angad stand in front of her.

She grabbed her hand and pulled him in, and quickly locked the door. "Angad, what are you doing here? Aagar kisi na tumko dekha liya tho-" Angad placed a finger on her lips. Angad moved closer to Kripa, as she moved back. Kripa hit the wall and Angad pressed himself against Kripa. Kripa's heart beat was fast. Angad brushed his lips against her cheeks. "Angad what are you-" Before she could continue Angad's hands were on the wall and his face right in front of her face. His eyes were seductive, his breath warm. He kissed Kripa's neck gently, Kripa tried her best to stop him but couldn't. And finally turned around facing the wall. Angad's arms wrapped around Kripa's waist. Angad kissed Kripa's neck once again pressing her closer to him. Kripa's knees melted and without her will she leaned on Angad for support. "Angad why are you doing this?"

Angad placed her chin on Kripa's shoulder and kisses her cheek; "It's very simple Kripa, I love you dearly." Kripa quickly turned around, and found the room empty. And she awoke from her sleep. She sat there running a hand though her hair, she was blushing like hell.

*************

A month passed by, a week of winter break passed by, and Kripa, unwillingly found her self a job, at a pub, serving Drinks. Angad who was still in Italy didn't know of this just yet. The problems between Kripa and Aaliya were solved. And no one, Josh, Aaliya, or Anjali wanted Kripa to work at the pub. She was to join from after New Year's. Everyone knew Angad was going to blow when he heard where Kripa was working. Kripa knew this well but she knew how to handle him.

At the same time, Kripa hadn't reviled her feeling about Angad to anyone but her diary. She felt deeply for Angad everyday, deeper. And finally after a long wait of a month he was coming back tonight. So at 9:30 P.M. Kripa stood at the air port waiting for the man she loved more than anything alive. Kripa saw Anagd and he walked to Kripa slithering his bag on his left shoulder. In complete arrogance he waked right past Kripa. Her mouth fell open in disbelief. "Angad you monkey!" He turned around and smiled at Kripa.

"Oh, I'm sorry Kripa, I missed you."

"Ya right you missed me. You have actually missed your mind. I came here just to pick you up, and you being such an idiot ignore me, with even bother to give me a hug, just walk by me and say 'oh I'm sorry, I missed you!' That's ridiculous Angad. Go away; I don't want to talk to you again." She walked past him out the air port. Angad followed her, and took her hand and dragged her to his car he has left at the air port. "Angad why did u bring me here?"

"Simply because I didn't want to find out again."

Kripa gave him a disgusting look, Angad sighed and looked at her. "Kripa, I'm sorry I missed you, its just that you have put on so much weight in the past month its quite sad."

"Angad I hate you." She wined like a kid who just got her chocolate snatched from a bully.

"Oh my baby." His voice mocked a concerned parent was sad to see their kittle daughter sad. Kripa punched Angad's shoulder. "Ok baba, I'm sorry, happy now?" Kripa opened the door of the car and sat down, waiting for Angad. "Her anger just makes my love grow for her!" He sighed and sat down behind the wheel. He tried to start the car but to his surprise it was out of patrol.

Five minutes later Kripa and Angad were walking on an empty street of London, about 2 minutes from the air port. Kripa was still on talking to Angad so he decided to talk to her.

"Come On Kripa, talk to me." Kripa keeping walking. "If you want I can sing to you?" Still no response. Now they came across a man who was playing a guitar and singing to get money. "Tum yahie rukho main abhi aaya." Anagd runs from there and Kripa keeps walking when Anagd holds her hand and stands in front of her holding his ears, the guy who was playing guitar is now playing a small piano as Angad sings to his lady love;

Is kadar pyaar hain tumse ae humsafar
Is kadar pyaar hain tumse ae humsafar
Ab to jeete hain hum bas tumhe dekhkar
Tumhari har ada, tumhari har nazar
Yeh kya kehne lagi, tumhe hain kya khabar
Is kadar pyaar hain tumse ae humsafar
Ab to jeete hain hum bas tumhe dekhkar.

Kripa is awed by Angad. She continues to walk around the fountain when she sees Angad on the other side looking at her. He is playing the guitar as he sits on the fountain seat. Kripa gets up from there and walks by Angad when he grabs her hand and stands up, and sings into her ear

Dil mein hain betabiyan neend udne lagi
Tere khayalon se hi aankh judne lagi
Har pal tumko dekha maine
Kehti hain meri nazar
Tumhari har ada tumhari har nazar
Yeh kya kehne lagi tumhe hain kya khabar
Is kadar pyaar hain tumse ae humsafar
Ab to jeete hain hum bas tumhe dekhkar

Kripa smiles to herself and walks away, pretending to be angry still. Angad walks being her, and around her. Angad holds her hand and pulls her closer. And hugs her.
Sasoon mein basne lagi, jabse tu ho jaane jaan
Apna sa lagne laga mujhko saara jahan
Mehka mehka lagta mujhko
Khushiyo se dil ka nagar

Kripa opens her eyes and finds still playing his guitar with a small kid sitting next to him. Angad sees Kripa and gives the guitar back and walks to Kripa.
Tumhari har ada, tumhari har nazar
Yeh kya kehne lagi tumhe hain kya khabar

He walks beside her still singing. When Kripa still doesn't pay any attention to him Angad holds her hand and make her face him, he holds his ears and says sorry to her. Kripa smiles and they both catch a cab and go home.

Is kadar pyaar hain tumse ae humsafar
Ab to jeete hain hum bas tumhe dekhkar
Tumhari har ada tumhari har nazar
Yeh kya kehne lagi tumhe hain kya khabar

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 12

Kripa is peacefully sleeping the next cold morning in her warm bed when her phone starts to vibrate in her hand. She moans and groans, and when the phone doesn't stop ringing she picks it up.

"Hello." Her eyes were still half closed and her voice was tired. "Hello, speak up person."

"Kripa." Kripa didn't know who this person was. The voice was familiar but she couldn't recognize it.

Kripa sat up pushing her hair back and looking out the window and then spoke once again. "Who is this?"

"Stupid, idiot, duffer, its me, Josh!" His voice was cheerful on this fine morning.

"Oh Josh, I'm sorry, I didn't recognize your voice."

"I figured!"

"So what's up?"

"Nothing, Angad has called you and Aaliya at his house!"

"Why?'

"Really Kripa you should be an FBI agent! You'll do great!"

"Shut-up Josh! Tell Angad to pick us up, or you can pick us up."

"I will pick Aaliya up, but Angad will pick you up."

"Why?" Her voice as naughty.

"Shut-up Kripa. I'm picking her up early because she is helping me with a project, and we will be working on that."

"Oh! That's fine, lakin tumko mujh par taras nahie aata?"

"Kyun?"

"Mujhko Angad ka saath aakle chor raha ho, he's going to eat me."

"Oh stop it Kripa. You know him, and you like being with him!"

"Ya right!"

"Ya, right! Ok now that's it, I'm putting down, bye!"

"Bye!"

Kripa smiled to herself and thought how much she loved being with Angad. Every moment spent with Angad was precious for her.

Angad, on the other hand sat on his bed looking at a picture of Kripa.

"Kripa, I love you! Lakin main yeh baat tumko kabhi nahie batao ga. Aur waisa bhi you can't love me. You Won't love me. You deserve someone much better than me. My life has no purpose. I might be dead tomorrow." He sighed when Dadi walked in.

"Angad," her voice was tensed, "are you thinking about the same things again? She doesn't even know all that."

"I know Dadi,"

Dadi cut him off and caressed his cheek, "Angad, if she loves you she won't care."

"I know, even of she doesn't love me she won't care. But if anything happens to me tomorrow she is going to be left alone. And I couldn't do that to her even in my dreams Dadi."

Dadi sighs and hugs him tightly, "I can't help, if your not going to listen."

Angad parted from Dadi and kissed her forehead, "I love her Dadi, I can't hurt her."

"I proud of you Angad, aagar koi pyaar kara tho tumsa seehk kar kara!"

"I love you Dadi!"

"Kaash tum yeh baat Kripa ko bool pata, 'I love you Kripa!"

"Stop it Dadi!"

"I love you to baacha!" Dadi hugs him once more and then drags him out for breakfast.

Angad is enjoying a French Toast with a chilled glass of orange juice when he takes a glance at him watch and quickly puts the glass down and stands up.

"Angad, where are you going?"

"Dadi I have to rush, I have to pick up Kripa."

Dadi gave him a stare and made him sit back down. "Your not going anywhere till your done. Kuch bhi theek sa nahie kartha. Come on. Angad stuff in the last part of his toast and takes one more sip of his juice. Then leaving the rest of his breakfast, he kisses Dadi, and leaves.

Dadi shakes her head in disappointment but then smiles saying, "Bilkul pagal hai! Aur isko Kripa ka pyaar main dil waogi! He deserves every part of it!" Right then Dadi picks up the phone and finds Kripa's number and calls her.

Kripa is fixing a few errors on her lab while waiting for Angad when her phone rings. She takes her glasses off and picks up the phone. "Hello!" Her voice sweet as honey. And when she heard the other person's voice she was shocked and happy.

"Kripa beta, it's Angad's Dadi. Angad just left and I have to tell you something." Her voice was dramatic, Dadi finished and Kripa heard Angad's cars horn in front of the college.

"Dadi, main chalti ho. Angad aa gya hai."

"Beta meri baat ka dhyaan rakhna."

"Ji Dadi."

"Take Care Baacha."

"Aap bhi Dadi."

Kripa puts the phone down and rushes to Angad car.

Kripa sits in the car next who Angad with crossed eyes. Angad's smile disappears as well and he turns to her and with a taunting tone asks her, "Kripa, kya tumna na hasna ki kasam kha rakhi hai?" When Kripa doesn't reply in one of her taunting ways Angad gets worried and now turns the ignition off. "Kripa are you ok. Is everything all right?" Still no answer, now Angad's temper is slowly rises. "Damn it Kripa, take to me!" Kripa flies the door opens and jumps out of the car. Angad gets out as well and follows her. She walks through many corridors and hall ways. Greeting people, smiling at a few, and then when Anagd trying to talk to her putting on her stern, tough mask back on. Finally she entered a canteen. Fairly empty. A few students having coffee and studying, while a few leaving the place as they hear the bell ring for winter sessions. In the next second the place is empty expect for Kripa and Angad. Now Angad can't take it anymore and hold Kripa's wrist, flying her across as she takes a 180 degree turn and then pulling her closer to him. He holds her shoulders tightly, and looks into her soft, now looking like a mocha color eyes. "What's wrong Kripa?" His voice was full of tension and passion. Kripa still didn't talk but looked at him with mad eyes. Fire dancing around them. Angad pulled her even closer and squeezed her shoulders even tighter. "Kripa I'll kill you if you don't talk to me right now!" His voice was no joke, and he was damn serious. Silence. Angad didn't hear anything but HIS rapid breathing and his heart thumping against his chest. Angad's face was loosing color, and he was going psycho.

It was snowing heavily out side, dark loomed everywhere, and Kripa stood in front of him with a, now, expressionless face. Angad was holding her so tight his finger prints started to embed into her arms leaving red prints. But Kripa was numb, it didn't seem to hurt her. She just stood there.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 13

Angad stood there for even longer now. And he was about to yell at her once again when suddenly Kripa started to laugh. She put her head against Angad's chest and kept laughing. Angad, who's in utter shock, slowly let go of her shoulders. Kripa kept laughing against Angad's chest, and then after five minutes she finally stood up straight and held her breath for a few second controlling herself. Her laughter still echoed in her room, and her eyes were now glowing. Angad just stood there with confusion surrounding his eyes. Kripa finally took full control over herself, and held Angad's face in her petite hands.

"I'm sorry." She finally spoke. She did sound apologetic, and her eyes were sorry to. "Angad, come on, now don't scare me." Still. "Angad?" Suddenly Angad put his arms around Kripa and embraced her as if this was the last time he was seeing her. His eyes filled with tears. Kripa slowly hugged him back, surprised how tensed he was. "Angad relax, I'm fine. Mujhko kuch nahie hua!" But Angad just stood there crying. Kripa felt really bad for making him cry, and so worried. Kripa couldn't take it any more and pulled away and held and looked at his red eyes. "Angad, I.." She took his hand in hers and made him sit down. She sighed and then looked up at him again. "Angad you look like a girl!" Angad looked up at Kripa's smiling face.

"What?" His voice was cracking and still dry.

"Aur nahie tho kya! Tum jab roota ho, you look like a girl."

"Stop it Kripa, tumna meri jaan nichal di aur ab maazak kar rahi ho?!"

"Angad!" She stood up and so did Angad. Kripa looked into his eyes and held his hand into her soft warm hands. "I'm sorry! Actually, Dadi called. Aur unno na mujhko bataja tum ghar sa bina breakfast compleat kiya chala aay, to pick me up. So I decided to get mad at you. Lakin tum- seriously!" She hits forehead lightly and wipes his tears. "Ab cholo!"

"Kripa." She turns around and looks at him sweetly.

"Kya hai?"

Angad takes a few steps closer to her and cups her face, "don't ever do that again. Please." Kripa is touched by the concern in his eyes and the warmth in his voice. Kripa placed her head in Angad's chest and hugged him tightly.

"I'm sorry Angad, I promise I won't, and your taking this to seriously. It was just a trick. And…"

Anagd pulled her away and looked into her eyes, holding her tightly by her shoulders, he pulled her closer and said, "Kripa, you have been through so much that a single tear in your eye leaves me restless. Kis hal main maina tumko dekha hai, mujhko daar lagtha hai Kripa." Angad lets go of Kripa and walks out of the place, leaving a heart broken and hurt Kripa. Kripa stands there, frozen, by Angad's words when her phone vibrates. She has got a SMS. She reads it, it's by Angad, it reads- I'm waiting for you in the car. Please hurry. Kripa wiped her tears fetched something to eat for Angad and left from there.

One hour later Kripa, Josh, Aaliya and Angad sat in Josh's living room. Josh was sipping on a some hot coffee, Aaliya was busy SMS-ing someone, Angad sat there quietly fumbling with his own phone. And, Kripa, well she sat there staring at Angad. Josh noticed the awkward silence between the two and decides to break it.

"So what are we all here for?" His voice was sweet, and broke Kripa's concentration.

"Well," finally spoke Angad, holding his coffee cup to his lips, he took a sip and then held the mug between his hands. "We are here to discuss our winter trip!"

Aaliya put her phone down and looked at Angad, "And where are we going?"

"Well," Angad took another sip of his coffee and looked back at Josh, "I think a nice one week at Switzerland or Italy would be great! What say?"

"Sounds great to me! Aaliya you?"

"Well Josh, it perfect, Kripa you?"

Kripa once again was distracted from her thought and she focused her brown eyes on Aaliya. "I'm sorry Aaliya I can't go."

Josh and Aaliya are upset and the first thing that comes out is, "WHAT?"

Aaliya made Josh be quite and spoke, "Kripa, why not, it's not going to be any fun without you. Angad tell her."

Anagd glanced at Josh and Aaliya, and then his gaze froze at Kripa, "If she wants she can stay, I don't care." Josh and Aaliya are confused at his rudeness while Kripa sits there trying to fight her tears back. She gets up and leaves quickly saying, "I have to go, you guys carry on." Kripa walks out and Aaliya excuses her self and follows her. Kripa run to Angad's car and cries for sometime until she feels someone's hand on her shoulder, she turns around with red eyes expecting Aaliya, but stands there Angad. Kripa quickly wipes her tears, "What are you doing here?" Angad crosses his arms in front of him and leans back standing casually, free of tension. When Angad didn't say anything Kripa turned around and started to walk into the streets. Angad quietly, without saying anything followed her. Kripa walked into Starbucks, bought herself a coffee and then right back out. Angad did the same. Kripa fetched herself a London Times and Angad did the same. Kripa finally reached Oxford, and Angad followed her to her room. At Kripa's door, she opened and walked inside, and then turned around to stop Angad from coming in. She is about to close the door when Angad puts his foot in the middle. Kripa opens it up again and places her hands on her hips with a angry expression covering her face. "What do you want?" She yelled.

"I want to talk to you."

"About?"

"You!"

"Me?"
"Yes You!" Angad pointed to her and then put his fingure down. "Look Kripa," his voice was now soft and comfortable, "I care for you, and I love you as my best friend, and I have known you for a very long time. And I can't see you hurt, or sad. That's why when I get mad at you, fight with you its because I care for you, not because I hate you. You might hate me in the inside for the jerk I am, most people do…" His voice was scoffing, and he laughed at himself. He turns around and faces the window and looks out at the sun in the sky, hidden behind the clouds. "Kripa, look at that sun hidden behind the clouds, the sun is me, hidden away, I'm there but no one cares. My life is like that no one has even 'loved' me, no one has cared for me. My father doesn't care about me and my mom, she left me when I needed her the most. I have Dadi, but how long can I be a burden on her shoulders. And I have you…" he turned around and looked at a crying Kripa, "Your just a friend, and I don't expect this friendship to last forever, you will have to move on with your life, and I will with mine, I.." Before Angad could continue Kripa's hand covered Angad's mouth. Her eyes were red, and she was ready to break down.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 14

Anagd looked into Kripa's eyes and for the first time saw how much she cared for him, but he still couldn't tell that her care was what she felt for him, love.

After a long uncomfortable pause finally Kripa spoke, "Angad, I know that we both have different lives, we view the word 'Life' in different ways, but after going through so much I don't want to loose you." She turns around and faces lookes at the sun which now slowly is coming into view, "Angad, vo Suraj chup tha hai, lakin sayda deer tak nahie chup sak tha." She turns again and faces Angad, "Hum har rooz lartha hai, and then we make up. Kya tumna kabhi nahie soocha humara ghdra main kitna pyaar chupha hai?" Angad smiles and nods his head.

"Lakin Kripa…"

"No lakin wakin. I know maina jo subha kiya vo theek nahie tha, lakin… maina sorry kaha na."

"Tho maina bhi it's ok kaha na! Ab usko choro, and pack your bags!"

"Kyun?"

"We are flying to Switzerland and then maybe Italy!"

"Angad, I can't go. I'm really sorry."

"Lakin kyun?"

"She's worried about the money Angad." They both turn around and sees Aaliya at the door.

"What?" Angad couldn't believe his ears. "Money?" He turns to Kripa and looks at her in total shock. "I can't believe you Kripa, your really impossible."

"Ab tum dono apni problems solve karo, I'll go!" And Aaliya slipped away closing the door behind her.

"So Miss. Kripa Kapoor, now tell me! For heavens sake, how in hell could you think like this?" Angad is screaming so loudly that Kripa is scared and tears are running from her eyes. "Oh god Kripa, an ro maat." He sighs and puts his arms around Kripa and hugs her. "Kripa," his voice is now soothing and comforting, he gently strokes her hair, "tum bilkul paaga ho." He makes her look at him, and wipes her tears, "Kripa, your no longer the Kripa I knew, the Kripa who would ask you for gifts."

"Angad, things were different then, and they are different today. I'm a different person, and I can't do anything for anyone-"

"Yes you can!"

"What?"

"You can give me the greatest gift of my life, by staying happy. Kripa money is nothing, its there to be there. A poor person v. a rich man, no differences, they both are humans, one is just more comfortable then the other. They dream for happiness."

"Angad.."

"That's it Kripa, tum humara saath chal rahi ho, and it's final."

"Tumsa koi jeet saktha hai?"

"Kabhi nahie!"

There's another knock on the door, and then it opens.

"Problems solved?" It was Aaliya again!

"Yep!" Anagd smiled!

Kripa and Angad were at the airport waiting for Aaliya and Josh. The announcements aired once again calling Kripa and Angad.

"Where are they?" Kripa was pacing, very angry, when Angad received an SMS. You guys carry on we will see you guys at the hotel tomorrow. -josh

"Kripa, we have to go, they will come tomorrow."

Kripa sighed and they both entered the plane.

*****

Outside the airport, we spot Aaliya and Josh sitting in the car smiling like two devils, this was there plan. They both knew Kripa and Angad loved each other but they wouldn't admit it, and this was the best way.

*****

They plane landed in Italy, Venice Airport. Angad's car he had rented waited for him outside and they both made there way to Hotel Beau-Rivage, rated number three in the country. The hotel was beautiful, built right in front of sea. Kripa and Angad entered the hotel through large Tiffany Crystal glass doors. Kripa gasped as she looked around the beautiful place. She felt as if she stood in paradise it self. The hotel was covered with marble, paintings, and antiques. The floor she stood upon was made of shining white marble. She examined the cream walls and its smooth texture. While Kripa was busy examining the beautiful place Angad got two rooms. Angad came back to her and they both headed to there rooms.

Later that evening, when Kripa peacefully slept in her room, Anagd sat in his room looking out the window into the blue sea. He carefully placed his mug, half-full with coffee on the bureau beside him. He continued to look outside, while his mind fluttered with thoughts about Kripa. His body leaned on the side on the window as he thought back.

Anagd sat in a gorgeous bedroom reading a book when, he felt as if someone had invaded his property. He puts his book down and picked up the candle under whose light he had been reading. He slowly went down the amber colored staircase and made his way to the living room. He looked around and found no one there. He felt as someone was creeping up behind him, but when he turned around he spotted no one but darkness. He shakes the thought off and decides to head back to his room. He climbs up the staircase and back to his room. He puts the candle down and sat in bed once again. He picked up his book when he saw someone's shadow walk past his room! He got up once again and walked out his room and looked both ways and saw a girl walk to the other side of the house. He quietly followed her and when she started to walk down the staircase she turned around and startled Anagd. Angad shut his eyes, his heart in his throat, and his hand placed on chest. The girl stood in front of him laughing, and suddenly all the lights turned on. And Angad saw Mehak standing there.

"Mehak I'll kill you!" His eyes were mad, and his voice carried a rage of anger.

"Sorry jaan, but you know I enjoy bugging you like this! Aur tum! How can you get scared? After all you're a-"

"Ssshhh! Kuch mat kaho, even walls have ears!"

"Very smart!"

"Now that you are here, I'm sure your not here for no reason!"

"Your so correct!" Angad puts her arm around Mehak and they both sit down on the sofa. Mehak is a very good friend of Angad, and some what they shared a romantic relationship. Mehak with no doubts loved Angad, and Angad knew this well, and he knew he felt for her as well but it wasn't love. At the same time he promised her that if he doesn't find anyone he will marry Mehak for sure, and happily.

"So Miss. Mehak, what brings you here?"

"Angad, head quarts wants to send you to Sweden.

"Sweden? Why?"

Before Mehak could continue a bullet shot through the side window hitting Mehak right through her shoulder, and the other one passing Angad's arm, Mehak died on the spot. Angad ran to his room and took a gun out of his drawer and ran back down stairs. He smashed his body against the side wall and looked to both side. And then turned around when he felt a gun on his neck. He froze and the man behind him asked him to drop his gun, and that's what Angad did. He dropped his gun and put his hands up in the air. The man behind him dug the gun point deeper into his neck, and Angad walked slowly the way the man told him to. And they stopped in front of the front glass door. Angad didn't know what to do at the time when he looked into the door and he could clearly see a man behind him, his face covered in a black mask and his eyes were a green color. Almost glowing in the dark. He seemed to be a very fit man, with a scar on his right arm, and a burnt spot on his left hand. He kept the gun at his neck and with one hand took out his phone and dialed a number. Before he could press send Angad uses his elbow to push him back. The man falls on the floor and Angad quickly presses the emergency button at under a table, he runs past the man, but he grabs his leg, and Angad falls on the floor. Angad is hit right in his stomach from the guys elbow, and his face bleeds from hitting the floor. The man knows he can't escape Angad Khanna, unless he dies, and Angad won't let that happen before he knows who this man is.

Anagd quickly rolled on to the other side of the floor and picked the mans gun up. He got up on his knees and pointed the gun to the man, wiping the blood near his lip.

"Up!" Angad shouted. The man lay there silently, his eyes were showing he was still confident, and this bugged Angad Khanna. He got up to his knees and hit his foot on his stomach. The man screamed in pain. Angad once again shouted, "Up!" He man slowly stood up now. Angad hit the gun against his back and made him fall on the sofa, and he tied his feet and hands, and called up the FBI headquarters.

Yes, Angad Khanna was an under cover agent who worked for Europe and some on U.S.A. And a very few people knew who he really was, not including all the terrorist who were after him to kill the man. Every mission Angad had been assigned to was successful, he was one who never failed. Angad wouldn't kill, but save. He would never kill the man by shooting, he would torture for days until he/she begged for death. Angad was a strong man, with one weakness, Kripa. She was his weakness, he had loved her for longer than he knew. Angad was like a coconut, tough but soft. He was tough when needed, but the sweetest most caring person to people who he cared for and who cared for him.

The FBI soon arrived and the man was taken to the office, tortured till the next morning by Angad until he confessed his ideas.

Back to Present.

Angad opened his eyes, and found Kripa standing next to him, smiling. Angad was at first startled. "Kripa what are you doing here?"

"I was watching you."

"Why?" He turned around and walked to his suit case, but Kripa caught his hand.

"You look tensed, what's wrong?

Anagd pulled his hand away and without looking at her said, "Nothing Kripa. I want to rest."

"You want to rest?" Her voice was confused.

"Yes Kripa, I want to rest, why do I not have a reason to?"

"Chill Angad, why are you getting offended. You carry on, I'll go back to my room."

"Kripa."

"Now what?"

"I why you are here!"

"Why Angad?"

"You are hungry!"

Kripa grinned, and with naught tones said, "Ya!"

Anagd smiled and asked her to wait in her room for some time. Kripa sighed and walked to back to her room. Angad picked up the phone and ordered something for Kripa, and had it sent to her room. And then he went in for a shower.

Anagd came out a little later in jeans and a white vest. He walked to the mirror and brushed his hair. He turned when he noticed his arm, and the scar from three years back. He fingered it, it was a small scar not to noticeable but at the same time deep, it reminded Angad of Mehak. He had never actually 'loved' her but, he cared for her. He quickly shook his thoughts when he heard a soft knock on the door, he quickly pulled up a jacket. That was one reason Angad always wore jackets and shirts that were at least till his elbows. He opened the door and found room service there.

"Signore Di Buona Sera" The lady greeted in Italian.

Angad smiled and wised her good evening back, "Buona sera." The lady entered and put his dinner down and then left. Angad was about to start when he decided to check on Kripa. He picked up the phone and got himself connected to Kripa's room.

Kripa sat in her room staring at her food, she didn't want to eat alone. Her phone rang and she picked it up.

"Hello!"
"Kripa, did you eat?"

"No!"

"Why?"

"I don't want to eat alone!"

Anagd laughs and tells her to join him for dinner.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 15

Next Morning the sun rises high in Venice, and with the first ray Angad is up. Like his daily routines he works out for sometime, had breakfast, and then showers. He's not sure if Kripa is up yet so he decides to call Josh and Aaliya and see where they are. The phone rings, Angad waits for sometime, and then the answering machine turns on. Anagd, without leaving a message, puts the phone down. He's confused, where could they be. They left together for the air port, but in different cars. Where could have disappeared. Angad sits there for a few minutes trying to solve the mystery, and then shakes the thought thinking This is what you get when you're a FBI agent, suspect everyone!

He gets up and decides to go check on Kripa. He knocks on the door, once, waits, and then again. No answer. He waits for some more time and then knocks again. Still no answer, finally he decides the turn the door knob and see if the door is open. He slowly turns the knob, but the door is locked. Angad is worried about Kripa now. He knocks the door once more, and much louder this time. When no one answers he rushes down to the reception and inquires about Kripa. The reception doesn't know, Kripa never check out. Angad is getting worried every second.

"I want to check her room now." Angad barks.

"We are sorry sir, but can't not do that." The lady replied in a very think accent.

"Oh my god, fine! Connect me to her room. Can you do that?" The lady nods politely, slightly confused why Angad is behaving the way he is.

The receptionist waits while the phone rings but there is no answer.

"I'm sorry sir but she's not answering."

"Then I want you to take me to her room! NOW!" Angad was so loud and clear, the poor lady scared backed off and gave Angad the room card. Angad snatched it from her hand and ran back to Kripa's place. Angad, impatiently, slides the card and the throws the door open. He looks around shocked to find everything upside down, and Kripa fainted on the bed, hurt, tired up. Angad quickly runs to her unties her.

"Damn!" He throws the rope of the floor and shakes Kripa a little, but she doesn't wake up.

Ten minutes later, everyone worker stands in a line in the front hall. The hotel is sealed, and Anagd is damn furious, but he doesn't disclose his identity just yet. The Italian police is here, and they are trying to get finger prints, and some evidence that would help them, decide what happened. Was it someone stealing or something else?

Kripa lays in Angad's room still unconscious. Angad is not present, and the police had two security guards in front of the room.

Anagd is mingled with the police right now, searching the room carefully. But to everyone's disappointment nothing could be found, no clue. After a attentive search Angad and the other men leave the room sealing it. Angad then contacts the FBI back at London telling them to keep a tight eye on Oxford University, near Kripa's dorm. After finishing the call suddenly Angad's mind went back to Kripa's room. He felt as if he had missed something there.

He first went back to his room, when he was stopped by the guards. He rolled his eyes in disbelief and unwillingly took out his FBI card, shoving it inside the guards' face he entered the room. Kripa was still sleeping. Her head and arms were bandaged, and her lip and eye were slightly bruised and swollen. Angad sat beside her checking her temperature which was normal now. Angad just couldn't believe what had happened in the past few hours. His life had seemed to change once again. How, and why would someone want to hurt Kripa. What does she have that is so precious. Angad sat back on the bed and closed his eyes, and once again his mind went back to Kripa's hotel room. I've missed something there, He thought. He got up and exit the room. He gave clear instructions to keep a close eye on Kripa, and no one, not even the Italian police could enter the room, unless instructed by Angad. He quickly got a few things and made his way to the headquarters of Italian FBI office.

Angad was the head of the FBI clan around Europe. He had 'secretively' within the FBI ceremonies, had been awarded many awards and medals. Angad was undercover for two reasons. One, Angad Khanna, was the best, most fit, capable and intelligent officer the FBI had ever had, and this helped them unwind secretes. And second, when he was offered to join the FBI he joined under one condition, he would be under cover, no one in public should able to recognize him as Angad Khanna the FBI agent. But as Angad Khanna, the richest diamond company owner of the world. The diamond company actually belonged to Angad's mother. But before dieing she changed her will and gave five percent to Angad's father, that to unwillingly, and the rest of ninety-five percent to Angad. On paper for the world the owner of the company was Angad Khanna, but Anjali, Dadi, and another close friend who ran the company for him, Angad would visit the offices once every week or so, and that to sing the papers no one else could sing. When Angad was given the property and company, her mother made it very clear in her will Angad could to now one, not even Dadi, hand the Power of Attorney. If anything were to happen to Angad, if he was married everything would go to wife, and then kids. If not married the whole company would shut down and the money would go to a orphanage in India.

Angad sat in a cabin and turned in the PC. Typing in his password he waited impatiently for the computer to turn on. Finally when it did, a colossal of info popped on the screen. Working his way through he finally reached the secrete documents section. He once again typed in his secrete code, and popped up an article from Kripa's parents death.

At the time of there death there was a lot of chaos. The Kapoors, being the richest in London, died unexpectedly. Angad carefully read the article, because he all along had a intuitions that Kripa's parents were killed. Anagd was at the time in charge of the case, but due to some technical reasons the case was closed and no one could veto the decision. But, back to the point, when Angad was investigating he found that the breaks of the car were failed due to a broken wire. Upon close examination he figured out that the wire was cut. Angad was no sure that Kripa's parents were killed. He never told Kripa because she would have broke down. And before reaching conclusion the case was closed.

Angad reviewed the history of the Kapoor Fashion House, and constantly found the name 'Suraj' common. Along with the name 'Prithvi Bose' who was also present at the grand event held by the Kapoors. Other than that Angad couldn't figure anything out, and he knew the answer to his questions lays with either Mr. Prithvi Bose, or inside 'Suraj'. He closed his computer, locked the cabin and walked out.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 16

Anagd gets back to the hotel and enters Kripa's room. The room just like before is a complete mess. Angad looks around to make sure he didn't miss something. He went to the window and opened it, looking down he found the place deserted, other then a few police officers. He looked around the window and didn't find anything. He gave up and turned to leave when his eyes spotted something yellowish beige. It was a cigarette. He moved his hand to pick it up and then stopped. He looked around and found a pen lying around. He took the cap off, and then shoveled the half smoked cigarette out. Sticking the point of the pen inside the cigarette he picked it up and carefully observed it. DNA he thought. If this man is a professional criminal we must have some type of a DNA sample in out records. It's a Marlboro. He knew this as a fact. Angad had quite smoking a few years back, and drowned into the bad habit of drinking a zillion cups of coffee a day. Which was not good for him as the doctors had suggested.

He searched his pockets and found a plastic zip lock. And dropped the cigarette in there and locked the bag stuffing it back into his jackets pocket. He looked around for some more time, but didn't find anything. Locking the door once again, he left.

He opened the door to his room and found Kripa lying in bed, her eyes wide open. Angad went to his closet and without letting Kripa notice he hid the zip lock.

Kripa hadn't noticed Angad coming in. Kripa was in shock. She had been lying like this for hours with moving a muscle.

Angad sat next to Kripa and checked her forehead to make sure she didn't have a fever. Hoping Kripa would talk to him he waited for a few minutes, but when she didn't even blink Angad got worried. Holding Kripa's hand he started talking to her -"Kripa come on get up, you haven't ate anything from last night, you didn't even finish dinner. Come on Kripa; now don't bother me like this." Steady as rock. Kripa lay there with tears running down her checking, soaking into the pillow. "Kripa just stop it ok. If you want to lay here and cry, do that. I'm leaving." Angad free Kripa's hand from his and moved to leave but Kripa held his hand tightly. At this point, the tears running from her eyes were tears of pain, tears of fear. And Angad understood Kripa's position; Kripa slowly sat up with Angad's help and hugged him tightly, crying even more now.

Anagd held her tightly letting her know he is there for her. And after crying her heart out, Kripa let go of Angad and wiped her tears.

"Kripa, do you want to freshen up?" Kripa nods her head still wiping her tears. "You stay here I'll go get your suit case."

"Angad no." Spit out Kripa quickly. Angad sit back down next to Kripa and put his arms around her.

"What's wrong?"

"Don't leave me alone here."

"Then what do you want to do, wear my jeans and shirts?" Finally Kripa smiled. "Don't worry Kripa, nothing can happen. The hotel is sealed and there are two guards outside of this room. No one can come in expect myself. And these are strict orders." Kripa looked at Anagd smiling. "What? Did I say something silly?"

"No it's just that you sound like a police officer on duty." Angad shook, and then turned his face. "What happened?"

"Huh? Oh nothing. Kripa can I ask you something?"

"Yes you may."

"What if I was really in a profession of the sort?"

"You mean in the police or FBI?"

"Yes."

"I don't know, I don't think I can relate when I know your not. But I don't think I would want you to even join such a filed. Its way to dangerous."

Angad takes a deep breath because he expect something like that from Kripa, "Well than, it's nice to know how you feel. I'll be right back with your suit case, and then we shall arrange for a new room for you." Said Anagd trying not to face Kripa. Who didn't like the idea of a new room after what happened this morning. But she couldn't live with Angad. She just couldn't. For the time she shook the thought off her mind and decided to think about it later. Angad was about to leave when he realized he can't take anything out of the room, unless directed by the FBI office or a clue to help in the case. "Um… Kripa."

"Yes Angad."

"We can't take anything out of your room."

"And why not?"

"Because it's forbidden."

"By?"

"The law!" Angad rolled his eyes as Kripa's inquisitive behavior. "Now don't ask me how I know that, blah, blah, blah… I'll get you new cloths. For now, how about you wear the same jeans and one of my shirts. Because my jeans won't fit you."

"Ok!" Shrugged Kripa. While Kripa went to the bathroom Anagd looked at himself in the mirror.

"I won't ever let her find out." Decided Angad, "She can never find out the truth about me. Not even after I die." He took his jacket off and reached into his closet to take out something more relaxing to wear. He's looking thought when there is a knock on the door. Angad puts the shirt down and opens the door. And stands there room service with a letter in his hand.

"Yes!" Taunted Angad.

"Sir, there a letter for you." The same think accent again.

"Thanks." Angad closed the door and unsealed the letter. Unfolding it he read, Angad Khanna, don't get involved with Kripa Kapoors case or else you will loose your life. -Well Wisher.

The bathroom door screeched open and Angad stuffed the note into his pocket and stuck the envelope under the bed. Kripa stood there in Angad's shirt, which was extra, extra large on her, and observed Angad, in his white vest.

"Wow Angad, not bad!"

Angad is quite confused, "What Kripa?"

"You have a pretty good physique! Lucky girls!" Angad grinned and answered Kripa's comment.

"Well Kripa, that's what you get when you work out. And," He pointed at Kripa, "that's what you get when you don't work you, the fat Kripa Kapoor!"

"Ahh! Angad you! I'll kill you!" Kripa grabbed a pillow and ran after Angad. Throwing the pillow on his face, but missing the attempt. Angad jumped on the bed and then back down, Kripa followed. And the routine took place a few times like a military drill, expect with the emotion of fun, instead of torture. Kripa kept running behind Angad when she tripped over the pillow. Angad quickly holds her falling on the bed. Kripa is holding Angad's arm her hair all over his face, and her eyes tightly shut, unable to believe that she landed on the bed and not on the floor.

Angad removed her hair from his face and then looked at Kripa who was looking at Angad. Her stare made Angad uncomfortable at first, but then ever feeling disappeared. And Anagd was once again over powered with the feeling he had hidden inside him for years, he looked back at her, for the first time in his life realized how much he loved Kripa, but still unable to recognize the same feeling in Kripa's eyes. They knew they loved the other person, but neither one was sure if the other loved them back. Finally, Angad looked away and sat up grabbing his shirt. When suddenly Kripa grabs Angad's arm.

"Anagd what's this?"

"What?" He looked at his arm and froze his scar.

"It's nothing Kripa." He took his arm away but Kripa held it again.

"Angad let me see. It looks like a bullet had passed your arm a few years back."

"You're mad Kripa." Scoffed Angad.

"Stop it Angad, I have studied medicine enough in the past years to under stand small things like this. But what I want to know is how it got here."

"Kripa, your mistaken, why would I get shot?" Angad's voice shook and sounded nervous, which Kripa noticed without a second doubt.

"Then what is this?"

"I was doing something a few years ago and I burnet my arm, that's all even Dadi knows it." His sounded more convincing now.

"OK!" And Kripa sounded completely convinced. While Kripa started to thumb with the button on the cuffs of the shirt Angad saw the innocent look on her face. How could someone want to harm her? This was the first thing that came to her mind. Kripa felt his stare and looked back at him. "Ae, Angad, what happened?" She snapped her figures in front of his face and Angad came back. "Kya hua?" Angad just nodded his head continued to button up his shirt.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 17

Kripa was sleeping around four again due to her medicines, Angad sat besides her making sure she was aright. Angad was reading a book but his gaze would stop at Kripa again and again. Finally he gave up and sat down on the bed beside her. He caressed her hair like she was a small kid, who meant the world to her parents. The only difference, Kripa was the love of Angad's life. In the past few months Angad had got so close to Kripa that he didn't know what he would do if he had to imagine life without her? He knew he could never tell her the way felt for her, but he could at least be with her and spend some time.

Angad sighed and then asked himself, why do I love you so much Kripa? Why do I love you so much when I know that you will never love me, and even if you do, which I doubt, I won't be able to tell you what I feel for you? Never.

Tears ran down Angad's cheeks. Angad Khanna, the best FBI agent also had a heart, who loved someone, he had the emotions so strong that could bring tears in his eyes for her. Angad bend down and kissed Kripa's lips softly. Knowing he would never get to again. He would never be this close to Kripa ever again.

Another hour passed. Kripa still slept. The sun had set and now Angad was also sleeping on the sofa, his book resting on his stomach. When the spell of the strong doses started to leave Kripa she awoke. Sitting up, rubbing her eyes she saw Angad sleeping.

Angad shifted his neck and hugged himself cold. Kripa took a pillow and a blanket to the sofa. She adjusted, or tried to adjust the pillow under his neck but it didn't work. Kripa now sat next to Angad. Whose head dropped on her shoulder? Angad moved for sometime and then finally finding a comfortable position, which ended up being his head in Kripa's lap, he slept carelessly. Kripa wrapped the blanket around him and sat there watching him sleep. Kripa grinned to herself seeing him so soft, so careless, like a small kid. Kripa could never guess that Angad Khanna was a FBI agent, never! And that's what Angad wanted, that was what was good for both Angad and Kripa. Was it really?

While watching Angad, Kripa had also once again fallen asleep.

Around nine Angad woke up feeling his phone vibrate. He reached to get it out of his pocket but it closed, that's when he realized what position he had been sleeping in. For god knows how many hours. And poor Kripa slept there, her head dropping, finding a place to rest. Angad laughed at her and at the same time felt very guilty. He was supposed to take care of her, not the other way around. He sat up and picked up Kripa and made her lay down in bed once again. Kripa didn't wake up and Angad left to freshen up.

**********

Next morning Kripa woke up around five, seeing the snow outside. Kripa had been sleeping from last evening. She looked around wondering how she got to the bed. Then she saw Angad sleeping on the sofa, and then her eye caught on a piece of paper on the floor. She got out of bed and walked to the sofa and picked up the paper. She started to unfold it when the phone rang. She stopped and received the phone.

"Hello."

"Kripa? What are you doing in Angad's room?"

"Aaliya? Where are you?"

"We are in Italy but the hotel is sealed. But forget that, what you are doing in Angad's room."

"Shut-Up Aaliya. I'll tell you when we meet, but don't get any wrong ideas."

"Ya whatever, ok we are at Hotel Cipriani."

"Ok, we'll see you in about five hours. And why are you calling me so early? It's 5 A.M."

"Why Kripa? Were you doing anything busy?" Aaliya's voice was taunting.

"Aaliya, you meet me and I'll kill you!"

"Do that please!"

"I will, now shut up and sleep!" Said Kripa, and before she could put the phone down she heard Josh calling Aaliya in the background.

"Aaliya, I'm with Angad there's a reason, what are You doing with Josh in one room?"

"Kripa-"

"Aaliya-"

"Shut-Up Kripa. He just got here, we have two different room. It's just sad Josh doesn't love me as much as Angad loves you!" Sighed Aaliya.

"Aaliya I'm putting it down! Bye!" She put the phone down and smiled, Kkash! He loved me as much as you think Aaliya. She turned around and then noticed the paper in her hand. She turned it over to read it when Angad grabbed it out of her hand.

"What are you doing Kripa?" He asked.

"Nothing," She took the paper from his hand, leaving a tensed expression on Angad's face, which she didn't notice. "But I want to know what's in here?"

"Kripa," he took the paper back, "It's a note from my girlfriend!" He stuffed the note back into his pocket before Kripa could take it back.

"Angad you don't have a girlfriend!"

"Why, I can't?"

"You can but…"

"But what?"

"Nothing!"

"Ok, who was it?"

"My boyfriend!"

"Really!" Angad looked at Kripa, and her naught expression.

"Really Angad, it was boyfriend who has reached here! You know I thought you would be quite bored here with me, and I would be with you so I thought how about I call him here!"

"Kripa, your crazy!"

"Angad, you're a monkey!"

"I know!"

"What?"

"You know the theory, all humans come from monkeys! So that means you're a monkey as well!" He hit her nose gently with his finger and turned around leave Kripa confused.

"Angad."
"Ab kya hai Kripa?"

"It was Aaliya and she want to meet us, she couldn't check in here because the hotel is sealed."

"Ok we can see her in a few hours." He was about to leave the room when-

"Angad."

"Now what Kripa?"

"I don't have a boy friend."

Angad smiled, "I Know! And you know what Kripa."

"What?"

"I don't have a girlfriend." Saying this Angad left the room, leaving a pleasant smile on Kripa's face.

"Of course you don't Angad, if any one can love you its me!" She smiled jumped happily.

Kripa and Angad strolled through malls in Italy finding cloths for Kripa. Everyone looked at Kripa while she walked around in Angad's shirt. Feeling very uncomfortable. Finally, Angad and Kripa found the perfect store for Kripa. She shopped quickly and then changed before too many people could tease her more.

Kripa came out of the fitting room and threw Angad's shirt on his face.

"Kripa, your so rude."

"Angad, tumahri is shirt na mera maazak bana diya hai!" She grouched.

"Ok meri Ma, I'm sorry! Kush?"

"Bauth! Now lets go before that stupid Aaliya has a heart attack thinking about us." Kripa turned around and saw a guy standing across the shop looking at Kripa and as soon as Kripa looks at him he turns away. Kripa just ignores it and turns back to Angad.

"Kripa, chala??"

"Haan cholo." She took his arm and rushed out, she still felt the man's stare, as she turned around she did find him looking right at her.

******

Angad and Kripa waited for Aaliya and Josh in the lobby of the hotel, Hotel Cipriani. Finally Aaliya and Josh came out of the elevator. Kripa and Aaliya hugged while Angad and Josh gave them Your guys are typical girls! look.

"If you guys are done with the dirty looks don you mind I we eat something. I'm starving!" Growled Aaliya. "Oh! Angad, someone gave for you."

Aaliya took out an envelope and handed it to Angad. "Thanks Aaliya."

"Anytime! By the way where are we eating?"

"How about Cafe Florian?" Suggested Angad.

"Angad, that's quite confusing. How about if we find an Olive Garden here? Would that be possible?" Kripa laughed.

Angad grinned, "Of course we can!"

"Great! I wasn't so sure about this Cafe Florian my self!" Laughed Aaliya, along with Josh.

"You guys are no fun!" Taunted Angad.

"Angad just shut-up ok! It's not our fault that you have lived here and know everything!" Kripa was all ready to eat Angad down any minute now.

"There they go again?" Mumbled Josh.

Angad and Kripa looked at Josh, "Stay out of this." Barked Kripa.

Aaliya nodded her head and grabbed Josh's arm saying, "Let them argue Josh, lets go!"

"Wait!" Yelled Kripa. "I'll go with you!"

Angad's mouth dropped open, "How could you Kripa? Your going to ditch me?"

"Oh plu-lease Angad! Me ditching you! Not!"

Aaliya and Josh watched them fight. "Kya pyaar hai!" Said Aaliya.

Kripa and Angad paused and looked at Aaliya, "What?" They both blurted.

"It's true, Kya pyaar hai tum dono main," She went between the two and put arm around Kripa and the other one around Angad, "Haven't you guys ever thought about this before? Tum dono jitna gharta ho, koi bhi kehaga, you guys will make the perfect husband-wife! The perfect couple!"

Aaliya looked at Kripa and then Angad. "You're a loser Aaliya." They both said and went there own ways.

Aaliya walked back to Josh who put his arm around her and rested his head along hers, "Inka ek din kuch na kuch hoga!"

"I hope so!" Sighed Aaliya.

*****

Thirty minutes later Kripa, Angad, Aaliya, and Josh sat in a place Similar to Olive Garden, where people did speak some English, and the menu was quite. Everyone is enjoying when Kripa spots the same man looking at her. She knew for a fact she was getting stocked.

"By the way guys, why is your hotel sealed, no one can check in?"

"Oh Aaliya, a small happening took place nothing big, I was just…" Before Kripa could continue Angad grabs her hand, and wipers No to her.

"Aur Kripa, why is your face slightly bruised, I didn't notice earlier she continued." Aaliya questioned.

"Oh! It's nothing Angad and I were undergoing a boxing match!"

Aaliya, Josh, and Angad spit there drink out and coughed.

"Kripa? What are you saying?" Angad said still chocking on his drink. While Josh and Aaliya sit there cracking up. "Kripa, tumko tho main baad main dekhlo ga." Kripa stuck her tongue out at Angad when a camera clicked flash Kripa's way. Angad caught on the flash, he knew something was wrong.

"Kripa we have to go from here." He said. "Now!" His instructions were tight.

"But why Angad?" Josh asked quite confused.

"I remembered something important, come on Kripa lets go. Aaliya, Josh, we'll see you later. Sorry." He grabbed Kripa's hand and took her from there.

Angad entered there hotel room and quickly looked out the window. No one was there.

"Angad, what's wrong? Why are we here?"

"Kripa, shut-up for a second."

"Angad-"

"Ssshhh." He placed his hand on Kripa's mouth, he heard 'tick-tick'

He looked around, and then under the bed, where he found a time bomb.

"SHIT! There's a bomb in here." He carefully took it out, and read the time. Five minutes. "Kripa quick, we have five minutes." He grabbed her hand and ran out of the hotel, and then started to run back into the hotel when Kripa grabbed his hand.

"Angad where are you going?"

"Kripa, please, I have to go. I'll be back."

"Are you mad? You can die."

"I don't care. Please Kripa. Just stay here." Kripa couldn't believe Angad, what the hell was he doing. Angad sighed and held her face. "I'll be back Kripa. Just stay here." He kissed her forehead and left a crying Kripa.

Inside the hotel, Angad quickly informed the management, and called in the bomb diffusers. The FBI was soon there as well. Kripa was confused to see Angad in action, rushing.

The whole hotel was soon starting to evacuate, everyone was out within, and chaos was everywhere. Aaliya and Josh got there soon as well. Kripa thought back to Angad's words. Five Minutes At least three minutes had passed. Everyone had left; the only people that were there, inside the hotel were Angad and a few other police men. The bomb diffusers weren't there yet. And Kripa's heart was in her throat. Tears rolled down her eyes, and nothing could happen. The clock ticked.

Two Minutes.

Kripa wiped her tears, "I'm going in Aaliya."

"Are you mad Kripa?" Aaliya grabbed her hand and held her back, Kripa struggled to get away but Josh and Aaliya held her back. One minute.

Angad was sweating, like crazy. Nervous for the first time, he didn't want to leave Kripa. Being so close to Kripa what he wanted, and now. The bomb diffusers weren't here.

"We have to jump out." A police man suggested. He opened up the cables, wrapping it around the first Police man Angad helped him down. 45 seconds.

The police man reached down and Kripa ran to him, begged him about Angad. "He refuses to come down until everyone else has evacuated." The other two police man came down. 15 seconds. "He's not going to survive" Said one of them.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 18

Kripa sat crying. After a long period of three days Kripa had finally taken some type of action. Kripa, had for the past three days laid in her bed, not eating, drinking, talking, sleeping. Doctors said it would even help if she cried but three days nothing. She didn't react since the bomb blast in Italy. She was back at London the following day living with Angad's Dadi. And finally after three days she sat up and cried for hours holding Angad's picture. And no one stopped her because she needed to cry, let it out.

Finally after hours of Kripa crying Dadi came in and sat beside her. Kripa put Angad's picture down and looked at Dadi.

"Are you ok beta?" Kripa tried to smile and nodded. "Come on freshen up and then eat something, you haven't eat for three days now. Come on." Kripa simply nodded once again, and went into the washroom to freshen up. Kripa came back out wearing a white pants with a white turtle neck. Tying her hair up she went out side for dinner. The house was dark expect for one light in the dinning hall. Dadi stood in white as well setting up the table.

"Can I help you Dadi?" Asked Kripa weakly.

"No beta, I'm fine." Kripa sat down while Dadi went back to the kitchen. Kripa looked around when she spotted a large frame of Angad. The picture must have been from at least three years ago. Angad looked younger, less mature. The wrinkles near his eyes weren't there yet, which proved he had worked hard in the past years, ignoring his health. Kripa got up and walked to the picture covering almost half of the wall. Kripa ran her pretty fingers across it, and then remembered when the picture was taken. A year before Angad disappeared for three years Kripa and Angad met. They were going around the city when…

"Hey Angad! Look photo sessions!" Said an excited Kripa.

"Are you mad Kripa? I'm the last person who would look good in pictures, I hate pictures, and this is a full photo session, never!"

"Oh come on Angad. It's free of cost, we just need to go in and take pictures. Keep them if we like them, well I know I will, but you can throw them away. Come on for my sake!" Kripa gave Angad her begging eyes, and a cute puppy, "I know you love me" face.

"Oh fine!" Sighed Angad, rolling his eyes.

"Don't roll your eyes at me!"

"Kripa, shut-up ok. Your making me do something I wouldn't do if god told me to do."

Kripa stood there her arms crossed in front of her body, yet her eyes, soft and relaxing. She leaned in and whispered, "Then why for me?" And then walked away.

At the time Angad loved Kripa, but Kripa didn't realize how much she felt for Angad. She loved him but as a friend. Angad shook his thoughts and walked into the mini studio in New York. What are they doing in New York? Kripa had wanted to move away from London, away from her parents so she decided to come to New York, Queens in search for a college. That's where she met Angad again. He was in New York for a college project, according to Kripa. But really he was under a mission.

Angad and Kripa waited in line for about fifteen minutes. Kripa had two cones of chocolate ice-cream while Anagd just watched her eat. Finally there turn came and they both were asked to change. Seconds later Kripa stood there in a black jeans and a black turtle neck, boots which made her look almost an inch taller. And to add to her glamour she was given a leather jacket, of course black. She looked at her self in the mirror, fixing her hair, when she saw Anagd come out wearing black as well. He wore a baggy v-neck shirt and black jeans, half tucked in and half un-tucked. He looked dashing. Relaxed, charming, in such a way any girl would ready to take him away from the world and make him hers. And that's what Kripa wished for as she looked at him dazed at him. He pulled up both sleeves just slightly under her elbows and then looked up at Kripa running one hand through his hair.

They both looked at each other without saying a single word, until the photographer came there. Angad and Kripa came back to earth and stood next to each other as directed. The photographer, who was Italian, black hair, blue eyes, dressed in a casual pair of jeans and a blue shirt, yet carrying him self in such a way that made him looked relaxed. He observed them for thirty seconds. And then spoke; "Madam, how about you put the jacket away for now." Kripa nodded and put the jacket on a stool near by. And the session started.

The session started with pictures of Angad and Kripa together. First pose, Angad and Kripa stood back to back, hands interlocked. Second pose, when the photographer told them the position both Angad and Kripa seemed uncomfortable. But they had to, Angad stood behind Kripa both arms around her, kissing her cheek. But they weren't as uncomfortable as they thought it would be. The third and last pose together, Kripa and Angad sat on a bean bag, cheetah design, once again Kripa sitting in front of Angad, almost in his lap, and both his arms around her.

The last two pictures were taken of Kripa and Angad alone. Kripa sat between a few million teddy bears, holding a large one in her lap, arms around him smiling like a small girl. Angad on the other hand, sat on a marble floor, one leg stretched out while the other one, knee pulled up, his elbow on his knee, and his hand curled in, with the knuckles on his head. Shoulders slightly bent, and a smile, more like a grin on his face, and *click*!

Kripa stood in front of Angad's picture crying once again. Angad had listened to Kripa.

After the photo session was done, Kripa and Angad changed and went to have lunch until there pictures developed. After having a nice lunch at a small caf in New York they both went back to collect there photos. They got two copies of each picture. Kripa really excited. While Angad, just stood three feet away, not wanting to look at the pictures. "Ae, Angad, come on, they came out really nice!"

"No thanks!"

"Uff…" Kripa stomped to Angad and Stood in front of him, her back almost against him. She took out the pictures and made him look at them, and Angad actually liked them. "Now tell me," she turned around, "how are they?"

"Well, I don't know about you but I look pretty good!" His voice was naughty and he walked away.

"Angad, I hate you." She stomped her feet like a small kid whose mother refused to give her chocolate. "Angad!!!" She ran behind him and stopped him. "Who asked you to take these pictures."

"You did."

"Then?"

"So, you can't change reality."

"So you mean I'm ugly?"

"Of course…"

"Angad?"

"See, your ugly, it's just that my presents makes you look beautiful!"

"Angad, I really hate!"

"Good!" Angad continued to walk sipping on his coke, he turned back to look Kripa still standing there looking at the pictures. "Kya hua? Meri baat itni buri lagi?" He walked back to her and saw the picture she was looking at, his picture alone. "Kripa? You here?"

"Ya, Angad meri ek baat mano ga?"

"Kya?"

"Enlarge this picture and frame it some where."

"Are you mad? Never."

"Kyun, if you think your so handsome you should."

"No Kripa, I take that back, I'm ugly, hideous, your beautiful and gorgeous. Happy?"

"Angad I know I'm beautiful, but you don't know how handsome you are!" Angad rolled his eyes and snatched the second envelope out of her hand and walked away saying-

"I'll keep those!"

Kripa ran her hands over his face once more when she felt Dadi's hand on her shoulder. She quickly wiped her tears and turned around.

"Are you ok?" Kripa nodded and walked back to the table. She finished her dinner and robotically walked back to Angad's room, where she was living at the moment. She opened the door and started to look through her stuff and finally found the photographs from the session. She looked at them and then holding them close she cried, Why did you leave me at this point Angad, why? Throwing the pictures on the floor she laid on the bed crying holding a pillow. "Why did you do this to me Angad, why?" She screamed, "Why? Why me god. First my parents and now Angad, why?"

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 19

A year later, like every night for the past three months Kripa was at Roller Disco. A club for skating, where kids as young as six to adults as old as forty came to skate with family and friends. Kripa had quite her job at Paradise Lost, a popular disco sometime back due to strange behavior from visitors. And now she was at Roller Disco. Some times she would work at the enter, selling tickets and other times teaching small kids how to skate. And other nights, she would cover for workers who were absent at the bar for adults, working as the DJ changing music, putting up requests, and sometimes taking care of little kids in the play room where parents left there toddlers as young as one year old. And Kripa loved working with the small kids. About five of them together. She loved her job, got a nice pay for it, it was beautiful. She had been trying to forget Angad, but it wasn't possible. Kripa had accepted that it's the truth, Angad won't be with her anymore. She never found out why he took the actions he did to say the people, leaving Kripa alone. She tried not to think about it.

Kripa lived with Dadi most of the time. She still had her dorm at Oxford which she ever visited. Kripa was leading a quite satisfactory life. Not fully happy but quite happy, just enough to breath, not live. There was definitely a difference.

Still Kripa cried silently holding Angad's picture next to her heart, blaming the god for everything that happened. Four out of seven days of the week Kripa would cry her self to sleep. Angad would come to dreams to haunt her, telling her he's in the state he is because of her. But this was just the beast inside Kripa. She had to some level started to blame herself for Angad. If no one would have been hunting to kill her, Angad would have been here next to her today.

Aaliya and Josh got engaged a few months back as well and are planning there wedding, which as planned should take place six months from now. Anjali is back and was heart broken after hearing about Angad. She moved in with Aaliya at her dorm and is helping Aaliya plan her wedding.

Kripa like always sat in her room finishing up a lab report. Her eyes were tired from staring at the computer trying her five page lab report due tomorrow. She didn't think it would be such a big deal. She just had to type it. But of course it was much more work. She glanced at the clock across the room, 10:30 it read. She had started almost two hours back. She sighed and took her glasses off, closing her eyes tightly in an attempt of giving them some rest. She opened them again, and stood up to stretch, she walked to the window and opened it. It was a cool December evening. Dadi sat on the front porch with Anjali discussing something.

Angad's property dispute hadn't been settled yet, and that was a large concern for Dadi right now. Kripa stretched her arms around and turned around when her eyes met a picture of Angad on her bed stand. Suddenly a smile crossed her face as she felt Anagd to be around her. She walked to her bed when she left someone's arms around her waist. She turned around to see Angad standing smiling.

"A-A-Angad? You, I, Me…"

"Ssshhh!" He leaned in and kissed her eyes softly. "Why are you upset Kripa?"

Kripa couldn't believe herself. Angad stood in front of her talking to her. She slowly put her arms around him and hugged him tightly, "Why did you leave me and go Angad?" She whispered to him. Angad pulled away from her and kissed her once again, "I had to Kripa, I was part of life. But why are you stressing your self out. I'm not next to you, but I'm always with you. Now wipe those tears and smile. I love you Kripa and I never want to see tears in your eyes, I promise to be with you as long as you promise to smile, always."

"But Angad-" Before Kripa could continue Angad kissed her lips softly and walked away.

Kripa woke up, finding her head on her key board. She rubbed her eyes and realized it was a dream. She opened up her drawer and took a picture of Angad out, and held it close, and just sat there thinking about her dream.

Kripa walked down Oxford University's corridor, she took out the key of her dorm and opened the door. She just needed a few books and notes so she decided to stop by. She opened her closet and looked around when something feel out. She looked down and saw a jacket on the floor. She picked it up realizing it's Angad's jacket she has from the time she dropped him at the airport. She smiled to her self thinking about that day and much fun the two had at Hard Rock Caf. Only if that time could come back she thought. She put the jacket down on her bed and then taking her noted locked the closet. She turned to leave when her eye caught the jacket again. She picked it up and left with it. She sat in Dadi's car and started it but it closed down. She tried several times but it didn't help. She got down and walked on to the streets and waited for a car. After five minutes finally she saw a car come. She waived her arms for attention but the car passes away, and then backed up. Kripa waited until the window rolled down she walked to the car surprised to see who she saw.

*******

Dadi got down from her car in front of a hospital and made her way inside. She went to the reception and singed in slowly walking down the corridors. She walked through many doors finally opening a door to a private room. The room was quite and silent, white, curtains drawn, dull, lonely, sad. Dadi sighs and walks to each curtain and opens them. Then she turns and changes the flowers, and fixes around the room making it a little more lively place. She fixes the little drawer with the medians there and then turns. Leaning down she kisses the person laying in bed.

*******

Kripa stands there shocked and confused. "Can I help you" The man asks. "Is that you Kripa?" Kripa nods still not able to believe her self.

"Prithvi Bose." She questions. Prithvi nods his head and opens the door for Kripa. Thinking for a second she stands there.

"Oh, come on I won't eat you, nor will I kidnap you and take you away. I'm a pretty decent man." His tone was quite convincing, yet Kripa a little unsure, but not having another option sat down in his car and he drove her away.

******

Dadi was still sitting there in the hospital when the door opens once again and stepped in Anjali. "How is.."

"Fine beta. Glad you could make it." Dadi greeted Anjali with a warm hug. Anjali walked over to the guy and took his wrist in her hands checking his pulse.

"Normal!" She chirped happily. Dadi smiled back at her while she continued to finish some other checks.

Anjali was finishing her last year of medical school now. She was intelligent enough to pass three years of school time during one year by taking extra classes and exams. And for the past months she had been working with this man who was in coma due to major injuries in the brain. He was finally recovering but still in coma.

********

Kripa sat quietly in the car looking out the window, silence loomed in the car until- "Mind some music?" Offered Prithvi.

Kripa smiled, "Sure." And the song "We Belong Together" by Mariri Carie played. Kripa's heart paused as each word hit her ears touching right at her heart.

"Oh! I hate this song!" Mumbled Prithvi. He almost changed, but before he could she put her finger on the volume button and turned it up. Prithvi saw the expression on her face and left the song. As the song ended Prithvi reached Kripa's place, Kripa after saying thanks left, right into the room.

She locked herself in her room and sat on the bed with tears streaming from her eyes. She closed her eyes and her mind went back to her Sophomore year, when Anagd was a Senior.

Kripa sat in the caf of her high school having lunch with her Physiology class friends, and also discussing there up coming report when Angad came and finally joined them. There conversation was strictly the project when Scott brought up a topic.

"Guys, Winter Formal is coming up, who has there dates?" Everyone started talking at once, Angad also chatted with Scott, discussing what he was planning when Megan brought asked Kripa.

"Who are you going with Kripa? No one!" Megan taunted, she had always hated Kripa because Angad had given her all the attention while Megan was head over heels for him. Kripa ignored her comment, when Scott asked Angad.

"Angad, who are you going with?" Scott, was on the other hand totally in love with Kripa, not actually love, but he liked her. He was the typical English boy. Burnett hair with hazel eyes, cute but not as good as Angad to get Kripa's attention.

"Well," Angad started, "As of now no one. I haven't found my self a date, how about you Scoot?"

Scoot dipped his chip in cheese and then looking at it said, "I'm considering someone."

"And may I ask who?" Anagd went on.

"Um…" His hazel eyes looked at Kripa. "How about you Kripa?" He asked.

"What?" Yelled Kripa.

"Kidding man, just chill." Scoot knew he didn't have a chance.

Kripa shook the thought, "Megan, who are you going with?"

Megan turned pale suddenly, "Oh! Um… ah! Well, Scoot! Scoot! I was going to ask him." Scoot gave her a cold stare while Kripa and Angad giggled. Megan kicked Scoot under the table and Scoot yelled.

"Of course, I was considering her as well! Right Megan!"

"Of course you were darling! Come on lets go, I need to talk to you." Megan took Scott's hand and they both left leaving Angad and Kripa alone.

Kripa turned to Angad, "So how is your project coming along?"

"Good!" He answered. "Um.. Kripa."

Next Day at school, the announcements aired on TV, and everyone in Kripa's physiology class turned there attention to the TV. Like every morning Scoot and Angad did the announcements, but this morning, Scoot was there but Angad wasn't. After the announcements finished Scoot announced, for everyone to gather up in the quad area, the bell rang and everyone left for the Quad area. Music was blasting and cheer leaders were on the groove. As soon as about half the school had surrounded the place the pep-rally started. The final football game was tonight. All the Varsity football players stood around, enjoying and cheering that they are going to kill butt tonight. London High, had been undefeated for the past six years, and this would have be the seventh year.

Kripa squashed through the crowd and made her way to the center to the grass joining the other cheer leaders in her gold and red outfit. It was cold so everyone work pants and a shirt. The school band rocked and the cheer leaders moved to the music enjoying every step. That came to an end and the head football coach came up to encourage everyone to be at the game. And then the time came to announce the player of the year. Every football player stood shivering to win the title but nearly half the school knew for a fact who it would be, like every year the four nominees came up. First Josh, second Scoot, third a guy named Ron, and lastly of course Angad Khanna.

"Well," the coach went on, "out third best player." The crowds hearts paused, "Is- Scoot!" Scoot rolled his eyes as he walked down as they announced his achievements, number of touch downs this years, rushes, how many yards accomplished, ect... ect… ect… He revived his flowers and a small gift and stood between the crowd of cheer leader.

"The runner up!" He continued. "Is… Josh!" Josh proudly this being his first time walked up next to Scoot. Now it was Ron and Angad. And the whole school knew who it was going to be.

"And our winner is- of course unlike the past two years where he had been getting second place, Angad Khanna!" Angad smiled, no shock for him he walked up between Josh and Scoot, hugging giving high-fives. "Angad has been a great leader. As a senior this year he scored eleven touch downs, and gained almost 1,000 yards, and 28 rushed. A zillion fumbles and much more to count. We are proud of you Khanna!" The girls screamed for him. "Can we have a few words from the captain, also our home coming king this year!" Angad grinned and walked up as more girls cheered and the band played.

Angad grabbed the mike, "Wow! This is really an honor, because I'm a senior." The crowd cheered once again. "Well like every year, when the best player does something special! We'll I think I know what I'm doing."

"Sing?!" Someone yelled out.

"You really want me to?" He said back. "You don't, trust me." Kripa smiled.

"Well, because this is my last winter formal as a high school student, I'm going to ask my date out in front of everyone!" Every guy cheered as the girls awed and screamed 'Pick Me, Pick me' Kripa smiled and turned around and Angad saw her go.

"She's not a senior." He went on. And a lot of girls sounded disappointed.

"She's a cheerleader." Every girls standing there had bright eyes now. Scoot grabbed Kripa's hand and whispered to her-

"It's going to be you!"

"Shut-up Scoot!"

"Actually, I'll tell you guys after we win the game tonight!" The whole crowd booed! "For now, keep guessing." He tossed the mike to a cheer leader and walked of.

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 20

The night is dark with the crowd cheering during the fourth quarter of the game. Not expected the school is loosing by one touchdown. There are five minutes in the game left. Everyone stands up as # 12 passes the ball to # 14, but 14 is tackled, but after gaining five yards. The players take there possession once again. Scoot hikes the ball to Angad who kicks it in the air, Josh catches it and runs with it. Angad runs between the players making sure not to get tackled. Josh throws the ball to # 33, who fakes it back to Josh, but in stead throws it to Angad, and # 33 is accidentally tackled. Angad runs with the ball, as the opposing teams player runs behind him. Angad picks up his speed and flying in the air, then sliding on the floor hits touch down. Two minutes in the game, and it's tied. Angad gather the team and tells them the play. It's the same. First time this season they would play the same play again. Not once this year this happened, and the opposing team expected that, a new play. The team takes there positions. They change the first. The ball is hiked to number 20, who then plays the same play as earlier. But Anagd misses the ball and the ball lands with Josh. The players run behind him trying to tackle him. But as soon as they start to, Josh has enough time to pass the ball to Angad, who make the last touch down of the year and the clock hits zero seconds! The opposing team collapses on there knees while, Angad cheers taking his helmet off screaming, and throwing it in the air and then catching it.

Now everyone awaits for the announcement by Angad. He takes a cold bottle of water and dumps it on his head. "We won!" He screamed into the mike. "We won! And now for my date- she's a cheerleader! Her name starts with K. Her initials are K.K. and it's Kripa Kapoor!!!!! Will you go to winter formal with me Kripa?" Kripa couldn't believe herself. She got up, shocked, while Megan's mouth dropped open. Angad throws the mike to Kripa, and catches it.

"I will!" She said in a whisper, but into the mike loud enough for everyone to hear. She ran down the bleachers right into Angad's arms. They didn't know why this happened, why Kripa ran to him, it was just a dance. But she felt different, and she felt right to be in Angad's arm. Not happy with all the football padding between them.

Angad and Kripa parted and smiled at each other, "Why me Angad?"

"Um… because you are special!" Kripa's eyes twinkled.

"But Angad, where's the rose?" She joked. Angad's face crossed a grin. As he grabbed the mike again.

"Where is the game ball?" He screamed into it. Josh passed him the ball and Angad gave it to Kripa, "there's the game ball, it's my pride, but you can have it!" Kripa takes it, making Angad sing it.

There's a knock on the door, Kripa wipes her tears and stands up. "Come in!"

Dadi opens the door slowly. "Kripa, Anjali is here, come on, you have to eat." Kripa nods and goes out to eat. She's done eating when she gets up and walks to Dadi.

"Dadi can I go to Kapoor House? Please don't ask why."

Dadi nods her head and Kripa leaves. If one thing that wasn't auctioned was the Kapoor house.

Kripa parked the car in front of the huge, dark house and walked to the door and slowly unlocked it. Then closing it behind her she walked up to her room turning one light on. She opened a large trunk and took out a box. Opened it and took out the football Angad had given her that night with his signature on it. She fingered it and held it close to her, and drifted back to the winter formal.

The dance was over, and everyone headed back home. Kripa and Anagd walked back to Angad's car, silent. They both sat down, and Anagd started the car, when his phone rang, excusing himself he left. Kripa turned the key once so the radio would turn on. Angad didn't return for almost ten minutes and Kripa got out of the car, her black dress sparkling under the moon light.

She saw Angad running her way, and stood up straight.

"I'm sorry that took long." He paused and heard the song playing.

"I love this song!" They both whispered. Angad looked at Kripa and reaching behind her turned it up. There car was the only car there at the moment. He faced Kripa once again and held his hand out, "Can I have a dance?" Kripa slowly slipped her hand in his and Angad pulled her closer. The song "We Belong Together" played as Kripa danced under the moonlight with Angad. Only a few to witness the love between them, the unsaid, the undefined love, the moon, the cold breeze, and the slowly starting to fall snow. Angad moved closer to Kripa, trying to keep her warm, but suddenly something unexpected happened, the snow started to fall heavier, yet gently, and there lips softly, gently met, not drawing a full kiss, but just a soft peck by Angad.

Kripa sat there living the moment once again, when the lights turned off, Kripa walked down stairs and opened a few curtains wanting to spend some more time there turning her favorite C.D. on. Track after Track, five tracks passes and finally that same song played. Kripa's eyes opened, and she stood up looking outside, it was snowing. And then it hit her, this was the very day a few years back, Winter Formal. Kripa stood near the window.

"Kripa!" Someone whispered in her ears. She turned around to find Angad standing there. He smiled at her and put his hand out. "Dance?" He whispered. Kripa slipped her hand into his as he pulled her closer. He softly kissed her forehead, and held close and danced with her. Finally when the song ended, Angad parted and once again kissed Kripa. "Keep smiling!" He whispered, and then disappeared.

Kripa opened her eyes with a smile on her face as the dream ended. It was still snowing the next morning. Kripa looked around and realized she had slept on the sofa the whole night. Kripa couldn't understand why did Angad keep coming back to her, what is he trying to tell her. Her dreams are dreams not night mares. Kripa thinks about it for sometime and then leaves from there after receiving a million SMS from Anjali.

She goes home where she finds Dadi sitting with Anjali.

"Dadi."

"Kripa," Dadi stood up, "Where have you been I've been worried sick."

"I'm sorry Dadi, I fell asleep over there last night."

"It's ok! Kripa, are you ok? You look, exhausted."

"Dadi, I'm fine really."

"Ok Beta."

Kripa smiled and left to freshen up. When Kripa came out drying her hair she found Dadi sitting there with a picture of Angad in her hand, tears ran from her eyes. Dadi had never shown how much grief Angad's death caused her. And would try her best not to cry on front of Kripa. Kripa walked behind her and put her hand on Dadi's shoulder. She quickly froze and then wiping her tears she turned around, but she couldn't help but breaking down when she saw Kripa. Kripa hugged Dadi tightly, and they both cried together. Finally Kripa made Dadi sit down, and put her head in Dadi's lap, Kripa kept crying, she didn't want to but she did, while Dadi stopped and cried to comfort Kripa. Kripa sat next to Dadi and asked her, "Why did Angad have to go in? Why did he do something so foolish that took his life from him. He knew he could die leaving me here alone, why Dadi why?" Dadi didn't know what to tell her, and just hugged her again telling her everything will be OK one day, but Kripa said, "Yes it will be, one day, but he will never come back to me." Dadi gave up now.

"Kripa, I had come here for something else."

"What?"

"I have to go to the hospital and I want you to meet someone." Kripa nodded and they both left for the hospital.

******

Kripa and Dadi entered the private room in the hospital and Kripa found Anjali checking a patient. She couldn't see his face yet. Kripa walked to the other side of the bed and found a guy laying, or yet she thought sleeping. He was quite handsome, tall, fair, yet looked helpless and weak. "Who is he Dadi?"

Dadi smiled as she ran her hand thought his hair kissing his forehead once again, "His name is Shahid, Angad's old friend, who had an accident about one year ago and he went into coma due to a brain injury." Stated Dadi sadly, and then excused herself when the nurse called her out to finish some paper work.

"Oh!" Kripa said, "What exactly happened to him?"

"Well," began Anjali, "About eight months ago he was injured, and he damaged something in his brain, went into coma, and has been for the past eight months."

"Oh! Is he improving?" Kripa said inspecting his pulse, and checking his eyes. Kripa was now finishing her second year of Medical School, and was capable of checking minor things like these.

"He actually is!" Said Anjali.

"Yes, but it seems like his eyes have been hurt as well, the vessels in his eye are extremely red for a person whose in coma."

"Your right Kripa, but we don't know why, we can't tell until he wakes up from coma. But we do suspect he's gone blind." Anjali said sadly. "After all I also knew him, for a quite long time, he was a jerk when Anagd introduced him to me, I bet he still is!" Anjali sighed.

Kripa grinned, "Well, well, well, someone is disappointed!" Anjali looked at Kripa and hit her arm.

"Shut-up Kripa."

"What did I say? And how come Angad never introduced him to me?" She frowned.

Anjali lost her smile upon hearing Angad's name and quickly excused herself. Anjali didn't find out until six month after Angad's death that he had died. Anjali knew that Angad was an FBI agent all along, Angad couldn't keep it from her, or rather she caught him doing some things a normal man didn't do.

Kripa felt bad for bringing Angad up and then looked at the young guy laying down. "Another link that takes me closer to Angad." She thought out loud. She sat down next to him and just watched the man peacefully. He surely did have the same naught look Angad has, or should we say had.

Kripa checked his past records while Anjali and Dadi were gone and concluded that there's something missing. Something went wrong, there was something in Shahid that was keeping him from getting better. But then Kripa shook it off. So many doctors, much better than her ha checked him. Nothing could be wrong. But then once again, even god errs, he did Kripa thought, by taking Angad from her. What had he done. What had this innocent man done to be punished as he lay there, when he should have been out with, his family, the people he loved. Kripa sighed and said out loud, "He (god) had erred twice in a row."

Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 21

Days passed one by one, and Kripa also took charge of Shahid's case, he was improving yet at the same time not as fast as he should be. After waiting for almost two months now Kripa finally decided to do some tests as she just couldn't keep guessing what was wrong.

So on a cool evening of February Kripa came to the hospital taking over Anjali's place. Like everyday Kripa checked Shahid and then other patients. Around lunch time she was done, almost everyone was gone for lunch and Kripa decided to do the tests this was the best time. She quietly sneaked into the room and took some of Shahid's blood. Then she entered the lab and inserting the blood into a dropper, she set it on a microscope slide. She set the glass slide under the microscope carefully and then projected the blood under the microscope. She was shocked when she saw a white powder like material floating within the blood. She took the microscope picture and transferred it to the computer and researched the white substance in the blood. After investigating she concluded that the while in the blood was a drug that makes a person fall into coma and damages their brain cells.

After she researched the drug into higher detail everything was in front of her clearly, someone had been purposely giving Shahid these drugs daily. What Kripa needed to do now was examine his CAT scans of his brain.

She walked into Shahid's room and explored quietly finally finding his records. The file included a bio-data about Shahid. She pinned his CAT scans, one by one, on the white light board examining them carefully. It was a fact that Shahid had some type of an accident because of which he's in coma. But his brain injuries were so vivid that Kripa didn't understand the reason for him being in coma for nearly a year now. Kripa had one last task to do now which was investigate his blood more take new CAT scans and see what his position was at the moment. Ten months ago Shahid was diagnosed with coma, he was improving for sure but Kripa had to figure out the truth behind this mystery.

******

A week later Kripa sat impatiently in her cabin at London Life Hospital waiting for the test results and the CAT scans to arrive. She paced back and forth impatiently while Anjali sat there quietly flipping through the magazine and looking at Kripa. Anjali didn't know anything that Kripa had done, and Kripa didn't tell her because she wanted to be sure that she was correct and there was no error.

In the past week Kripa had tested Shahid's blood twice more, and the drug had increased, what she wanted to find out was how much it was effecting his brain, but she had to wait until the reports came.

She sat down on her huge, black leather chair and picked up her little blue stress ball squeezing it in her hand her eyes frozen on her door. Anjali couldn't take it anymore and stood up tossing the magazine across the black glass coffee table in front of her. She straightened her skirt and folded her hands in front of her and spoke in an irritated voice; "Kripa what's the matter with you? For the past hour you have been so- upset, so restless. What's the matter?"

"Nothing Anjali." Kripa said in a flat tone.

"No darling something is the matter, you have been very restless from the past week or so. And you have been working very late in the lab here as well. Something must be up. What is it?"

Kripa sighed and stood up unbuttoning her lab coat, "Well," she began, her tone very careful and slow, "Anjali don't be furious with me but I have hid something from you."

"First tell me what is it, and then I will decide how I'm going to react."

"Actually Anjali, I…" Before Kripa could finish her door tapped and walked in a ward boy.

"Here are your reports Ma'am." He handed a large mud color envelope to Kripa and then left.

Kripa nervously sat down on her chair. Sweat started to glitter on her forehead and her upper lip. Her hands were trembling as she opened the package.

"What is it Kripa?" Anjali yelled nervously. But Kripa didn't reply she took the CAT scans out and pinned them against the white light board, next to his scans from ten months ago. She looked at the old scan and then the new one. She marked a few spots that were she thought circumstances had changed. Anjali stood behind her examining the two scans as well.

"Kripa, are these…"

"Yes, Anjali these are Shahid's CAT scans."

"But Kripa.."

"I'll tell you everything Anjali." Kripa sat there telling Anjali the whole story and at the end all Anjali could say was-

"Someone is trying to murder him, is that what your trying to tell me?"

"Maybe, because the hospital wouldn't prescribe him drugs that damage his brain cells."

"Ya that's correct, but why didn't I notice this?" Kripa giggled a little now, "What?" Anjali screamed.

"Jab aakhon par pyaar ki pati bandhi hoti hai to kuch nahie dikhta, aacha hoga ki tum yeh case mujhko de do. Nahie tho pata chala ga ki Dr. Anjali na beechara ko theek karna ki jagha, ek naie bemaari dedi hai. Love aria!"

Anjali sat there tapping the side of her chin, "Haan! WHAT?" She hit Kripa's arm gently and Kripa quickly ran back to her chair, and after laughing a little they both sighed.

Kripa sat back and observed Anjali, "You love him a lot don't you?" Anjali looked down and nodded her head. "Then tell him as soon as he comes out of coma."

"But he has to feel the same about me too!"

"I know," Kripa stood up and walked to the window "but still tell him before it's to late."

Anjali put her hand on Kripa's shoulder, "You loved Angad didn't you?" Kripa turned around with moist eyes.

"No Anjali, I didn't love him, I do love him, I always will."

Anjali smiled "I'm sure he loved you a lot too!" Kripa smiled back. Before Anjali could say anything she got an announcements reminding her she is late for her rounds. "Oh Shit, Kripa I'll go, talk to you later." She grabbed her lab coat and her stethoscope and rushed out the thick glass doors.

Kripa turned back to the window and looked into the sky, when she saw Angad stand beside her, smiling. Kripa turned his way and smiled back at him. Angad pulled her closer and kissed her cheeks. "I do love you Kripa!" He whispered into her ear. Kripa hugged him tightly and said-

"I love you too Angad."

******

It was dinner time at the hospital but Kripa stood in front of the CAT scans in her dark cabin still observing them. Unable to understand the uncommon patters in his brain. Her eyes hurt now and she turned the white light board off turning the room lights on, and then sat down in her chair, leaned back and closed her eyes. Before she could take a sigh of relief there was a knock on her door. She quickly stood up and shocked to see Prithvi Bose standing in front of her. He was wearing a dashing purple shade suit, which made his fair complexion stand out, making him look even more dashing.

"Mr. Bose, what are you doing here?"

"Well! First please call me Prithvi, I have told you have before. I prefer Prithvi."

"And I have told you as well, I prefer Mr. Bose. Not Prithvi." Kripa started to gather her files and took the CAT scans off the white board and stuck them with her other files. She fumbled around with papers trying her best not to come in contact with Prithvi.

"Whatever, you can call me what you desire." He said coldly. "But I was here to tell you something."

"And that is?" Kripa asked keeping her paper against her chest and folding her arms.

"We are appointing new doctors at the hospital, mainly students who are completing medical school, like you, and I was wondering if you would like to consider this offer?" He asked like a gentle man.

"I'll think about it." Kripa said coolly, picking up the rest of her things.

"Can I drop you somewhere?" He asked.

Kripa paused and looked at him- "No thanks, I already have someone picking me up."

"Boyfriend? If you don't mind telling me?"

"Yes, do you have a problem?"

"Of course not!"

"Then if you may please excuses me, I have to go." She said rudely, starting to get very annoyed with the man.

Prithvi grinned and walked out saying, "Please tell the board of you are interested before the week ends." He walked out and Kripa rolled her eyes. Then laughing it off she shut the lights and locked the door. She went outside where Anjali was already waiting for her. Kripa threw her stuff on the back seat and put her seat belt on.

"Wow, someone's angry, what's wrong Kripa?"

"Oh that man Prithvi Bose, he's so irritating. God knows what he wants." Anjali giggle.

"Oh by the way Kripa, Aaliya called, her wedding has been fixed for May 5."

"Oh that great!" Kripa said cheerfully!

Anjali parked in front of Dadi's house when her cell rang. "Who's it now?" She grumbled. "Hello, Dr. Anjali speaking. WHAT? Ok, Kripa and I will be there soon. Ok bye."

"What happened Anjali?"

"Shahid is gaining conscience!"

"What that's great new!"

******

Fifteen minutes later Anjali and Kripa rushed around checking Shahid. Finally he started to open his eyes and they both stood back. Shahid opened his eyes slowly, everything blurry at first and then slowly clearing up.

"Where am I?" He said weakly. His voice was so weak yet strong, reminding Kripa of Angad.

"Shahid." Anjali called out. "Are you ok? Your in London Hospital."

"Oh! A-A-Angad, where I he?" He said, his eyes closing again. Kripa and Anjali were confused, why was he asking about Angad, did he not know he's no more.

"Shahid he…"

"Anjali don't." Kripa warned. Kripa took Anjali by the arm and took her outside. "If he doesn't know about Angad, don't tell him yet. A shock can worsen his state." Anjali nodded, and they both went back in.

"How are you feeling?" Kripa asked.

"Kripa?" He asked confused.

"Yes, but how do you know me?"

"Ask me how can I not know you, Angad has told me everything about you." He smiled.

"That's nice, now you mustn't talk much. Your still very weak." Kripa instructed.

"How long have I been here?" He went on.

"Oh ten months now." Anjali said. "Making ME serve you!" Shahid grinned.

"Well then I must say, no wonder. If there was a better doctor, by now I would have been back to my daily activities!" He laughed

"Kripa! Tell him to stop." Anjali wined.

"God guys, really. I can see why Angad and you got along well!" Kripa laughed. "Shahid please, relax. Don't stress your self. And Anjali, you can go home and tell Dadi, I will take up a night shift."

"Ok!" Saying 'bye' to both of them Anjali left.

Kripa spend some time with Shahid doing check-ups, while he told Kripa about Angad's and his college days.

"What do you do Shahid?"

"Oh, um… I… um…"

"Your confused like you were an FBI agent and couldn't tell anyone."

"I am!" He mumbled.

"Did you say something?"

"Oh no. I don't really do anything. My parents have spoiled me, if that's the way to say it." He said.

"Ok! That's a quite interesting job."

"It sure is!" Kripa turned to Shahid and rubbed alcohol on his arm and then injected his arm.

"Well, that's that. You seem to be doing good. And we should be able to discharge you within a week or so."

"A week more." He groaned.

"Yes!" Kripa laughed, "A week more."

"Ok, can I use a phone?"

"Yes sure." Kripa took the cordless phone and handed it to Shahid and then left. Shahid waited until she left and then dialed a number nervously. The phone rang in another hospital somewhere and a lady picked up the phone and talked to her for sometime and then put the phone down smiling.

******

A week later Shahid was discharged. Kripa never figured out what brought the drastic change and never figured out who had been trying to kill him. They all went on with there lives and Shahid went to Germany and rejoined his FBI force.
