Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 17
Kripa was sleeping around four again due to her medicines, Angad sat besides her making sure she was aright. Angad was reading a book but his gaze would stop at Kripa again and again. Finally he gave up and sat down on the bed beside her. He caressed her hair like she was a small kid, who meant the world to her parents. The only difference, Kripa was the love of Angad's life. In the past few months Angad had got so close to Kripa that he didn't know what he would do if he had to imagine life without her? He knew he could never tell her the way felt for her, but he could at least be with her and spend some time.
Angad sighed and then asked himself, why do I love you so much Kripa? Why do I love you so much when I know that you will never love me, and even if you do, which I doubt, I won't be able to tell you what I feel for you? Never.
Tears ran down Angad's cheeks. Angad Khanna, the best FBI agent also had a heart, who loved someone, he had the emotions so strong that could bring tears in his eyes for her. Angad bend down and kissed Kripa's lips softly. Knowing he would never get to again. He would never be this close to Kripa ever again.
Another hour passed. Kripa still slept. The sun had set and now Angad was also sleeping on the sofa, his book resting on his stomach. When the spell of the strong doses started to leave Kripa she awoke. Sitting up, rubbing her eyes she saw Angad sleeping.
Angad shifted his neck and hugged himself cold. Kripa took a pillow and a blanket to the sofa. She adjusted, or tried to adjust the pillow under his neck but it didn't work. Kripa now sat next to Angad. Whose head dropped on her shoulder? Angad moved for sometime and then finally finding a comfortable position, which ended up being his head in Kripa's lap, he slept carelessly. Kripa wrapped the blanket around him and sat there watching him sleep. Kripa grinned to herself seeing him so soft, so careless, like a small kid. Kripa could never guess that Angad Khanna was a FBI agent, never! And that's what Angad wanted, that was what was good for both Angad and Kripa. Was it really?
While watching Angad, Kripa had also once again fallen asleep.
Around nine Angad woke up feeling his phone vibrate. He reached to get it out of his pocket but it closed, that's when he realized what position he had been sleeping in. For god knows how many hours. And poor Kripa slept there, her head dropping, finding a place to rest. Angad laughed at her and at the same time felt very guilty. He was supposed to take care of her, not the other way around. He sat up and picked up Kripa and made her lay down in bed once again. Kripa didn't wake up and Angad left to freshen up.
**********
Next morning Kripa woke up around five, seeing the snow outside. Kripa had been sleeping from last evening. She looked around wondering how she got to the bed. Then she saw Angad sleeping on the sofa, and then her eye caught on a piece of paper on the floor. She got out of bed and walked to the sofa and picked up the paper. She started to unfold it when the phone rang. She stopped and received the phone.
"Hello."
"Kripa? What are you doing in Angad's room?"
"Aaliya? Where are you?"
"We are in Italy but the hotel is sealed. But forget that, what you are doing in Angad's room."
"Shut-Up Aaliya. I'll tell you when we meet, but don't get any wrong ideas."
"Ya whatever, ok we are at Hotel Cipriani."
"Ok, we'll see you in about five hours. And why are you calling me so early? It's 5 A.M."
"Why Kripa? Were you doing anything busy?" Aaliya's voice was taunting.
"Aaliya, you meet me and I'll kill you!"
"Do that please!"
"I will, now shut up and sleep!" Said Kripa, and before she could put the phone down she heard Josh calling Aaliya in the background.
"Aaliya, I'm with Angad there's a reason, what are You doing with Josh in one room?"
"Kripa-"
"Aaliya-"
"Shut-Up Kripa. He just got here, we have two different room. It's just sad Josh doesn't love me as much as Angad loves you!" Sighed Aaliya.
"Aaliya I'm putting it down! Bye!" She put the phone down and smiled, Kkash! He loved me as much as you think Aaliya. She turned around and then noticed the paper in her hand. She turned it over to read it when Angad grabbed it out of her hand.
"What are you doing Kripa?" He asked.
"Nothing," She took the paper from his hand, leaving a tensed expression on Angad's face, which she didn't notice. "But I want to know what's in here?"
"Kripa," he took the paper back, "It's a note from my girlfriend!" He stuffed the note back into his pocket before Kripa could take it back.
"Angad you don't have a girlfriend!"
"Why, I can't?"
"You can but…"
"But what?"
"Nothing!"
"Ok, who was it?"
"My boyfriend!"
"Really!" Angad looked at Kripa, and her naught expression.
"Really Angad, it was boyfriend who has reached here! You know I thought you would be quite bored here with me, and I would be with you so I thought how about I call him here!"
"Kripa, your crazy!"
"Angad, you're a monkey!"
"I know!"
"What?"
"You know the theory, all humans come from monkeys! So that means you're a monkey as well!" He hit her nose gently with his finger and turned around leave Kripa confused.
"Angad."
"Ab kya hai Kripa?"
"It was Aaliya and she want to meet us, she couldn't check in here because the hotel is sealed."
"Ok we can see her in a few hours." He was about to leave the room when-
"Angad."
"Now what Kripa?"
"I don't have a boy friend."
Angad smiled, "I Know! And you know what Kripa."
"What?"
"I don't have a girlfriend." Saying this Angad left the room, leaving a pleasant smile on Kripa's face.
"Of course you don't Angad, if any one can love you its me!" She smiled jumped happily.
******
Kripa and Angad strolled through malls in Italy finding cloths for Kripa. Everyone looked at Kripa while she walked around in Angad's shirt. Feeling very uncomfortable. Finally, Angad and Kripa found the perfect store for Kripa. She shopped quickly and then changed before too many people could tease her more.
Kripa came out of the fitting room and threw Angad's shirt on his face.
"Kripa, your so rude."
"Angad, tumahri is shirt na mera maazak bana diya hai!" She grouched.
"Ok meri Ma, I'm sorry! Kush?"
"Bauth! Now lets go before that stupid Aaliya has a heart attack thinking about us." Kripa turned around and saw a guy standing across the shop looking at Kripa and as soon as Kripa looks at him he turns away. Kripa just ignores it and turns back to Angad.
"Kripa, chala??"
"Haan cholo." She took his arm and rushed out, she still felt the man's stare, as she turned around she did find him looking right at her.
******
Angad and Kripa waited for Aaliya and Josh in the lobby of the hotel, Hotel Cipriani. Finally Aaliya and Josh came out of the elevator. Kripa and Aaliya hugged while Angad and Josh gave them Your guys are typical girls! look.
"If you guys are done with the dirty looks don you mind I we eat something. I'm starving!" Growled Aaliya. "Oh! Angad, someone gave for you."
Aaliya took out an envelope and handed it to Angad. "Thanks Aaliya."
"Anytime! By the way where are we eating?"
"How about Cafe Florian?" Suggested Angad.
"Angad, that's quite confusing. How about if we find an Olive Garden here? Would that be possible?" Kripa laughed.
Angad grinned, "Of course we can!"
"Great! I wasn't so sure about this Cafe Florian my self!" Laughed Aaliya, along with Josh.
"You guys are no fun!" Taunted Angad.
"Angad just shut-up ok! It's not our fault that you have lived here and know everything!" Kripa was all ready to eat Angad down any minute now.
"There they go again?" Mumbled Josh.
Angad and Kripa looked at Josh, "Stay out of this." Barked Kripa.
Aaliya nodded her head and grabbed Josh's arm saying, "Let them argue Josh, lets go!"
"Wait!" Yelled Kripa. "I'll go with you!"
Angad's mouth dropped open, "How could you Kripa? Your going to ditch me?"
"Oh plu-lease Angad! Me ditching you! Not!"
Aaliya and Josh watched them fight. "Kya pyaar hai!" Said Aaliya.
Kripa and Angad paused and looked at Aaliya, "What?" They both blurted.
"It's true, Kya pyaar hai tum dono main," She went between the two and put arm around Kripa and the other one around Angad, "Haven't you guys ever thought about this before? Tum dono jitna gharta ho, koi bhi kehaga, you guys will make the perfect husband-wife! The perfect couple!"
Aaliya looked at Kripa and then Angad. "You're a loser Aaliya." They both said and went there own ways.
Aaliya walked back to Josh who put his arm around her and rested his head along hers, "Inka ek din kuch na kuch hoga!"
"I hope so!" Sighed Aaliya.
*****
Thirty minutes later Kripa, Angad, Aaliya, and Josh sat in a place Similar to Olive Garden, where people did speak some English, and the menu was quite. Everyone is enjoying when Kripa spots the same man looking at her. She knew for a fact she was getting stocked.
"By the way guys, why is your hotel sealed, no one can check in?"
"Oh Aaliya, a small happening took place nothing big, I was just…" Before Kripa could continue Angad grabs her hand, and wipers No to her.
"Aur Kripa, why is your face slightly bruised, I didn't notice earlier she continued." Aaliya questioned.
"Oh! It's nothing Angad and I were undergoing a boxing match!"
Aaliya, Josh, and Angad spit there drink out and coughed.
"Kripa? What are you saying?" Angad said still chocking on his drink. While Josh and Aaliya sit there cracking up. "Kripa, tumko tho main baad main dekhlo ga." Kripa stuck her tongue out at Angad when a camera clicked flash Kripa's way. Angad caught on the flash, he knew something was wrong.
"Kripa we have to go from here." He said. "Now!" His instructions were tight.
"But why Angad?" Josh asked quite confused.
"I remembered something important, come on Kripa lets go. Aaliya, Josh, we'll see you later. Sorry." He grabbed Kripa's hand and took her from there.
Angad entered there hotel room and quickly looked out the window. No one was there.
"Angad, what's wrong? Why are we here?"
"Kripa, shut-up for a second."
"Angad-"
"Ssshhh." He placed his hand on Kripa's mouth, he heard 'tick-tick'
He looked around, and then under the bed, where he found a time bomb.
"SHIT! There's a bomb in here." He carefully took it out, and read the time. Five minutes. "Kripa quick, we have five minutes." He grabbed her hand and ran out of the hotel, and then started to run back into the hotel when Kripa grabbed his hand.
"Angad where are you going?"
"Kripa, please, I have to go. I'll be back."
"Are you mad? You can die."
"I don't care. Please Kripa. Just stay here." Kripa couldn't believe Angad, what the hell was he doing. Angad sighed and held her face. "I'll be back Kripa. Just stay here." He kissed her forehead and left a crying Kripa.
Inside the hotel, Angad quickly informed the management, and called in the bomb diffusers. The FBI was soon there as well. Kripa was confused to see Angad in action, rushing.
The whole hotel was soon starting to evacuate, everyone was out within, and chaos was everywhere. Aaliya and Josh got there soon as well. Kripa thought back to Angad's words. Five Minutes At least three minutes had passed. Everyone had left; the only people that were there, inside the hotel were Angad and a few other police men. The bomb diffusers weren't there yet. And Kripa's heart was in her throat. Tears rolled down her eyes, and nothing could happen. The clock ticked.
Two Minutes.
Kripa wiped her tears, "I'm going in Aaliya."
"Are you mad Kripa?" Aaliya grabbed her hand and held her back, Kripa struggled to get away but Josh and Aaliya held her back. One minute.
Angad was sweating, like crazy. Nervous for the first time, he didn't want to leave Kripa. Being so close to Kripa what he wanted, and now. The bomb diffusers weren't here.
"We have to jump out." A police man suggested. He opened up the cables, wrapping it around the first Police man Angad helped him down. 45 seconds.
The police man reached down and Kripa ran to him, begged him about Angad. "He refuses to come down until everyone else has evacuated." The other two police man came down. 15 seconds. "He's not going to survive" Said one of them.
Pyaar Ka Pal: Part 18
Kripa sat crying. After a long period of three days Kripa had finally taken some type of action. Kripa, had for the past three days laid in her bed, not eating, drinking, talking, sleeping. Doctors said it would even help if she cried but three days nothing. She didn't react since the bomb blast in Italy. She was back at London the following day living with Angad's Dadi. And finally after three days she sat up and cried for hours holding Angad's picture. And no one stopped her because she needed to cry, let it out.
Finally after hours of Kripa crying Dadi came in and sat beside her. Kripa put Angad's picture down and looked at Dadi.
"Are you ok beta?" Kripa tried to smile and nodded. "Come on freshen up and then eat something, you haven't eat for three days now. Come on." Kripa simply nodded once again, and went into the washroom to freshen up. Kripa came back out wearing a white pants with a white turtle neck. Tying her hair up she went out side for dinner. The house was dark expect for one light in the dinning hall. Dadi stood in white as well setting up the table.
"Can I help you Dadi?" Asked Kripa weakly.
"No beta, I'm fine." Kripa sat down while Dadi went back to the kitchen. Kripa looked around when she spotted a large frame of Angad. The picture must have been from at least three years ago. Angad looked younger, less mature. The wrinkles near his eyes weren't there yet, which proved he had worked hard in the past years, ignoring his health. Kripa got up and walked to the picture covering almost half of the wall. Kripa ran her pretty fingers across it, and then remembered when the picture was taken. A year before Angad disappeared for three years Kripa and Angad met. They were going around the city when…
"Hey Angad! Look photo sessions!" Said an excited Kripa.
"Are you mad Kripa? I'm the last person who would look good in pictures, I hate pictures, and this is a full photo session, never!"
"Oh come on Angad. It's free of cost, we just need to go in and take pictures. Keep them if we like them, well I know I will, but you can throw them away. Come on for my sake!" Kripa gave Angad her begging eyes, and a cute puppy, "I know you love me" face.
"Oh fine!" Sighed Angad, rolling his eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me!"
"Kripa, shut-up ok. Your making me do something I wouldn't do if god told me to do."
Kripa stood there her arms crossed in front of her body, yet her eyes, soft and relaxing. She leaned in and whispered, "Then why for me?" And then walked away.
At the time Angad loved Kripa, but Kripa didn't realize how much she felt for Angad. She loved him but as a friend. Angad shook his thoughts and walked into the mini studio in New York. What are they doing in New York? Kripa had wanted to move away from London, away from her parents so she decided to come to New York, Queens in search for a college. That's where she met Angad again. He was in New York for a college project, according to Kripa. But really he was under a mission.
Angad and Kripa waited in line for about fifteen minutes. Kripa had two cones of chocolate ice-cream while Anagd just watched her eat. Finally there turn came and they both were asked to change. Seconds later Kripa stood there in a black jeans and a black turtle neck, boots which made her look almost an inch taller. And to add to her glamour she was given a leather jacket, of course black. She looked at her self in the mirror, fixing her hair, when she saw Anagd come out wearing black as well. He wore a baggy v-neck shirt and black jeans, half tucked in and half un-tucked. He looked dashing. Relaxed, charming, in such a way any girl would ready to take him away from the world and make him hers. And that's what Kripa wished for as she looked at him dazed at him. He pulled up both sleeves just slightly under her elbows and then looked up at Kripa running one hand through his hair.
They both looked at each other without saying a single word, until the photographer came there. Angad and Kripa came back to earth and stood next to each other as directed. The photographer, who was Italian, black hair, blue eyes, dressed in a casual pair of jeans and a blue shirt, yet carrying him self in such a way that made him looked relaxed. He observed them for thirty seconds. And then spoke; "Madam, how about you put the jacket away for now." Kripa nodded and put the jacket on a stool near by. And the session started.
The session started with pictures of Angad and Kripa together. First pose, Angad and Kripa stood back to back, hands interlocked. Second pose, when the photographer told them the position both Angad and Kripa seemed uncomfortable. But they had to, Angad stood behind Kripa both arms around her, kissing her cheek. But they weren't as uncomfortable as they thought it would be. The third and last pose together, Kripa and Angad sat on a bean bag, cheetah design, once again Kripa sitting in front of Angad, almost in his lap, and both his arms around her.
The last two pictures were taken of Kripa and Angad alone. Kripa sat between a few million teddy bears, holding a large one in her lap, arms around him smiling like a small girl. Angad on the other hand, sat on a marble floor, one leg stretched out while the other one, knee pulled up, his elbow on his knee, and his hand curled in, with the knuckles on his head. Shoulders slightly bent, and a smile, more like a grin on his face, and *click*!
Kripa stood in front of Angad's picture crying once again. Angad had listened to Kripa.
After the photo session was done, Kripa and Angad changed and went to have lunch until there pictures developed. After having a nice lunch at a small caf in New York they both went back to collect there photos. They got two copies of each picture. Kripa really excited. While Angad, just stood three feet away, not wanting to look at the pictures. "Ae, Angad, come on, they came out really nice!"
"No thanks!"
"Uff…" Kripa stomped to Angad and Stood in front of him, her back almost against him. She took out the pictures and made him look at them, and Angad actually liked them. "Now tell me," she turned around, "how are they?"
"Well, I don't know about you but I look pretty good!" His voice was naughty and he walked away.
"Angad, I hate you." She stomped her feet like a small kid whose mother refused to give her chocolate. "Angad!!!" She ran behind him and stopped him. "Who asked you to take these pictures."
"You did."
"Then?"
"So, you can't change reality."
"So you mean I'm ugly?"
"Of course…"
"Angad?"
"See, your ugly, it's just that my presents makes you look beautiful!"
"Angad, I really hate!"
"Good!" Angad continued to walk sipping on his coke, he turned back to look Kripa still standing there looking at the pictures. "Kya hua? Meri baat itni buri lagi?" He walked back to her and saw the picture she was looking at, his picture alone. "Kripa? You here?"
"Ya, Angad meri ek baat mano ga?"
"Kya?"
"Enlarge this picture and frame it some where."
"Are you mad? Never."
"Kyun, if you think your so handsome you should."
"No Kripa, I take that back, I'm ugly, hideous, your beautiful and gorgeous. Happy?"
"Angad I know I'm beautiful, but you don't know how handsome you are!" Angad rolled his eyes and snatched the second envelope out of her hand and walked away saying-
"I'll keep those!"
Kripa ran her hands over his face once more when she felt Dadi's hand on her shoulder. She quickly wiped her tears and turned around.
"Are you ok?" Kripa nodded and walked back to the table. She finished her dinner and robotically walked back to Angad's room, where she was living at the moment. She opened the door and started to look through her stuff and finally found the photographs from the session. She looked at them and then holding them close she cried, Why did you leave me at this point Angad, why? Throwing the pictures on the floor she laid on the bed crying holding a pillow. "Why did you do this to me Angad, why?" She screamed, "Why? Why me god. First my parents and now Angad, why?"
