Rishi: Ladies and gentlemen (he spoke through the mike) can I please have your attention
Everyone turned towards the stage where he stood. Rajveer and Naina also looked upon him in surprise and Rajveer wondered what was he up to?
Rishi: Jesa ke aap sab jaante hai ke aaj do aise logo ka milan hone jaaraha hai jo log nahi sirf ek duje ke bina reh nahi sakte balke ek duje ke bina koi bhi kaam nahi karsakte. Inka pyaar itna gehra hai ke wo zamaane ke saare Romeo Juliet, Heer Ranjha or Laila Majnu ko peecha chore de. Inki love story itnee interesting hai ke hamne socha ke kyu na ose puri dunya ke saamne batayee jai.
Rajveer gaped at Rishi in astonishment as he couldn't believe what they were doing. Knowing them he knew they were up to some mischief and he couldn't bear to see them do that especially in front of the elders. He tried to stop them but they really didn't listen. He covered his eyes with his hand and lowered his head down readying himself for the load of embarrassment coming his way.
Rishi: to peisch hai Rajveer aur Naina ki kahani, hamaree zubaani.
Everyone clapped but Rajveer sunk further down as if he wanted to disappear altogether. The lights went dim and the spot lights covered the whole stage. As silence took over, Rajveer removed his hand from his eyes to see what happened and saw lots of smoke being thrown on the stage. Then from it emerged Varun in these spunky clothes, more like Rajveer's old clothes. He was outraged that they impersonated him but completely ruined his reputation as he certainly didn't look as hideous as that. Then what followed was worse as a group of girls crowded him and drooled over him as if he was an irressitable drug. He enjoyed the attention to the most and grooved the stage with them.
Varun: Ishq hai kya kuch nahi hai mohabbat
Kal kuch nahi bus yehi hai haqeeqat
He danced with the girls giving them equal attention, his very dear attention.

The display had become worse and Rajveer still wanted to bury himself somewhere. He saw others enjoying it but he knew how Naina's parents would be reacting now and his father too didn't look too pleased.
However Varun continued with his seductive moves, bouncing hip with hip with the girls.
Varun: Me to hasino ka hu deewana, dil kash aadyein mera nishaana

It ended with all the girls hanging off him and a sign appeared reading
"AWARA RAJVEER"
There were many applauses and hoots from the audience and Rajveer only let out a weak smile towards them but when he saw the strictness on his father in law's face he turned his eyes downwards and pretended not to have seen him. What were these guys trying to do, ruin his wedding? He just hoped they didn't do anything further but he was so wrong as after Varun exited Rishi came back.
Rishi: Jis din awara Rajveer ki nazar ek titli pe paree tabse wo ose pakar ne me lag gaya. Kitnee minnate ki, or kitnee koshish bhi ki sirf or sirf ose patane me'
The lights dimmed again once more and Neelu appeared on the stage on a cycle and everyone applauded. Then a desperate looking Alekh followed on roller skates, running after her as if he couldn't see anything else. She ignored him to the most but he kept persisting.
Alekh: Jeene ke hain chaar din, baaqi hain bekaar din

On purpose he skated in her way and kept bothering her.

His constant distrubance and interference was making her loose balance and she was unable to ride the bike properly. Eventually she landed on the ground and he laughed making her madder. All of this brought back old memories for Rajveer and Naina about their Europe trip. The way they had met and what it had led to and they also shared a laugh remembering.
Then Alekh continued and went and held Neelu's hand as he picked her up. She flunked his hand away with annoyance but he held it again by force and didn't let go. She glared at him and tried to free herself but his grip was strong.
Alekh: Mere baare me kya hai sochti
Dushman na samajh karle dosti
Neelu: (she stomped on his foot and released herself) chal baaju hath, jaane bhi de
Aise na tu mujhko sata
Alekh: (pinched her and twisted her hand behind her back) Jaana, itna tevar hai bura
However she managed to elbow him again and pushed him. He made an 'ow' face but still didn't give up.
Alekh: Jeene ke hain chaar din, baaqi hain bekaar din

He obstructed her way continuously and then finally ended with him on his knees pleading like a dog. Everyone laughed and even Rajveer and Naina joined in as to some extent it had happened in that way. They glanced towards each other and just remembered how they had been then and how they were now. It was a drastic change.
Rishi came back after Alekh and Neelu left.
Rishi: Yeh to bus shuruaat thi lekin aage jo huwa wo bohat hee mazedaar or dhamake daar tha..
As he said that Rajveer panicked again as now he knew they would mess up again. Naina calmed him down and said that it was just fun and he tried to relax but it wasn't easy. He silently made a mental plan of how he was going to torture Rishi after this was over.
The lights dimmed and Shaina came out sweetly dressed like Naina. At first she didn't agree to be paired up with Varun but she had no choice so for the sake of fun she agreed. Now she actually enjoyed it. Naina recognized the clothes she wore and remembered the trip on Icaria beach where Rajveer had constantly teased her for no reason. She couldn't believe they were actually replaying it all. Then Varun arrived on the roller skates and when he saw Shaina he pretended his eye balls stuck out. He was completely bowled over her and wolf whistled with excitement. Then he advanced towards her and gave her a white rose. She took it and walked on further. He followed and gave her a yellow rose which she also accepted and walked on further. Then he licked his lips wickedly and went towards her and gave her a red rose. When she accepted it he had this goofy smile on her face but as soon as he saw she scrounged it up his expression changed to horror. Then she threw it on his face, gave him a list of insults and then pulled his hair like a child. As she walked off he still stood there in shock.
The audience found it too funny and even Naina burst out laughing but Rajveer smacked his forehead. As feared the guys had manipulated the real thing to make it more entertaining.
The music began shortly as Varun fretted amongst his friends about how he had to teach her a lesson. Naina remembered how she and Neelu had made the plan to teach Rajveer a lesson but he was trying to do the same thing. She remembered their cute encounters and fights.

They all began dancing. Then Varun came closer to Shaina and began snapping his fingers.

Then Shaina showed him.

The guys kept teasing the girls much to their annoyance. They pulled their hair or tugged on their clothes or just pinched them here and there.
Varun: Sheron jaisa dil hai, cheete ki chaal hai
Ladkiyaan to hai billi, billo ka janjaal hai
Shaina pretended to be really annoyed and she with the other girls charged upon the guys pushing Varun back.
Shaina: Hum mein hain adaayein, tum jaise hum nahin

The girls had an upper hand now

both the party began to challenge each other.

The girls began to beat the boys as they ran around to save themselves

In the end all the guys ended up taking off their shirts and challenged the girls to do the same. All of them began running with embarrassment. Shaina froze when she saw Varun's muscles. Her eyes popped out and her mouth opened wide with awe. Varun saw her and laughed. The effect worked and now when he offered her a red rose she accepted giving a shy smile. He took the opurtunity and pulled her in his embrace and pretended to give her a loud smooch. Shaina was flabbergasted as he was supposed to pretend but he literally kissed her, that was not part of the plan and she pinched him hard to release her. How dare he kiss her? Naina was also outraged as that was not how it happened but now everyone would believe it so. So will her parents and she would be so dead. What were these guys doing?
They soon left with the audience clapping but both Rajveer and Naina pouted with anger towards the whole gang. When Rishi came out he saw Rajveer's steamed face so he became a bit nervous but then continued anyways.
Rishi: ab dosto jaha pe aisee takraar hoti hai (brief pause when he saw Rajveer glaring at him but then cleared his throat and continued) ehem...to waha pe gehra pyaar bhi chupa hota hai. To apne majnu sahab ne haar maani nahi or wo bus apni Laila ko manane ke peeche lagaye
This time Sameera came on stage and Rajveer couldn't believe she also joined their group when she should have been on his side. He just remained cross waiting to see what next show they were going to put up.
She is chatting amongst her friends when a cool dude Sameer comes from behind trying to impress her with his charm.
Sameer: Koi tujhse aachee milegee nahi

He followed her as she ignored him

He held her by the shoulders and made her look in his eyes

She pushed him back but he didn't give up

He pleaded to her like a hopeless lover

He cornered her and pinned her against the wall

Rajveer bit his nails to the core waiting for the embarrassing act to finish soon. At one point he was really angry but at the next he was terribly nervous how he was going to face his in laws after this drama. Half of these things hadn't even happened but they didn't know that and already his reputation wasn't that great in front of them and this just made it worse.
Rishi: (began after the applause stopped) Bechaara Raj, oski phirse haar hogayi or Naina ose thenga dikhaa ke chaleegayee per apna Raj to Raj hai wo kabhi haar maan hee nahi sakta tha. To wo bus Naina ke ird kird ghoomta tha hoping he'll get to kiss her once again.
Rajveer thought: Tujhe to me chore ne waala nahi hu, apni last wishes tayaar karle kyu ke tu ab gaya...
Rishi: (it was was if he heard Rajveer's thoughts and got nervous again) ummm...actually wo...chalye aage barte hai (gave a weak smile and tried to ignore Rajveer's deadly looks. This was fun) oska junoon ose sidhe legaya market jaha pe oska pyaar sabziya khareed rahee thi
Everyone laughed and Naina's annoyance faded away too. Yes it wasn't true but it sure was comical than their original story. She saw how Rajveer wasn't that pleased but she assured him that no one was going to take this seriously so to just relax. It was easier said than done.
Shaina appeared on the stage busily shopping when all of a sudden Varun jumped from out of no where and startled her. Things in her hands fell as he grabbed hold of her.
Varun: Pyaar tum mujhse karti ho, don't say no

He held her hand with desperate need

She ignored him and carried off to the next stall. He didn't allow her to do anything.

Finally frustrated by him pushed him away

He obstructed her so she moved him away irately

Varun: (gave her an ultimatum) Margaya to pachtaogee don't say no

He became overdramtic and took out a knife and pretended to kill himself but she quickly ran into his arms.

With a lot of enthusiasm and excitement Varun yelled wtih joy and danced around like a mad man.

As he did that Naina laughed uncontrollably as she remembered how Rajveer had also pretended to kill himself for her to confess. That Diwali night where he had climbed the roof of his house and sung the song. It was a drama but she had to confess in the end as her love for him couldn't hold back. She felt glad that she had accepted his love then as if she wouldn't have then she wouldn't have been sitting next to him right now with the happiness of the world beneath her feet.
Rishi: To aakhir khaar dono me pyaar ho gee gaya (everyone gave a genuine smile) par jaha pe pyaar hota hai waha pe kabhi kabhi dard bhi hota hai. To dono me kai jhagre huwe, ruth na manaa na, ghussa hona, sab chalta hee raha per aakhir me do dil ek ho hee gaye (Naina and Rajveer remembered their bitter feud before they had expressed their love for each other. It was a terrible process for them both and now they were just glad that it was suppressed in their past and never going to emerge) Apna Rajveer beta to din raat ek hee pratna karta tha...
Sameer came on stage with a group of guys and he looked love struck.
Sameer: Sapnon me aayi ke jaayi ke ore goriya
Hamri churayi le neendiya

He went around pretending to see his girl everywhere
Sameer: Bahaaron me tu hain
Nazaaron me tu hain
Dekhu jidhar me wahan tu dikhai de
He pleaded to God by raising hands heavenwards.

He sat down with the group of men and pretended to tell them his dilemma.

He stood up again and pleaded to God as the audience applauded.

Rajveer's anger had slowly died down now as the sweet memories ran in his head he had shared with Naina. Perhaps these guys wern't that bad and decided to chill after all. Little did he know that this was just an interval.
Rishi: (mischivious grin) Dono me behat pyaar bar gaya or apna Rajveer to jese saatwe aasmaan pe tha. Naina bhi oske pyaar me deewaani hochukee thi. (Rajveer engulfed Naina in his arms and kissed her cheek) Itna deewaana tha ke acche acche moke dhoond ta tha Naina ko akele paana ke liye. Ya to kabhi Naina ki friends ko bhej deta tha ya to phir kabhi apne khud ke dosto ko bhagadeta tha (there was a roar of laughter and Rajveer remembered their Khandala trip of how all the others had tried to keep him away from Naina on purpose but he still used his tricks and got to her no matter what. The fuse thing came into his mind and he grinned) to shuru huwa onka chupke chupke milne ka silsila
The curtains raised and everyone saw Neelu staring out of the make belief window as if waiting for someone and soon Alekh zoomed out on his bike and stood underneath. She gave him all lovey dovey looks and he also gave out her flying kisses and sweet looks. Everyone continued to laugh and Rajveer and Naina remembered how many times he had climbed to her window at the middle of the night just to meet her.
Alekh: Oonchi hai building, lift teri band hai
Kese me aao, dil raza mand hai
He showed how he tried to climb many times but failed
Alekh: Hey oonchi hai building, lift teri band hai

Neelu put hand out desperately calling him
Neelu: Aaja aaja aaja band baaja leke aaja

She showed her desperateness too

Then Alekh exited only to come back with a ladder
Alekh: Tere waste daur kar aaunga me
So seeriyo ko bhi char jaaunga me
He climbed up to her window
Neelu: Tu mera dilbar hai aana parega
Tujhe mera nakhra uthaana parega
Then Naina's fake parents came in between and Alekh lost balance and fell
Alekh: Aaya toofan hai, mushkil me jaan hai
Aana me chaahu, dil beimaan hai
He showed how he still didn't give up and tried many ways to get to her
Alekh: Oonchi hai building, lift teri band hai

She kept calling him
Neelu: Aaja aaja aaja band baaja leke aaja
Teri yaad sataye dulhe raja ab to aaja
Just when Rajveer thought his friends were doing a favour to him by making him remember everything, they had to spoil it. His temperature rised again and now he was confident that he was going to kill them. Edited by arwa72 - 14 years ago
