I normally don't blog but I just needed to get this word out!
Folks back home just told me that Aditya, Vidhaan, Priyanka and Jyotika were in the Danger Zone again.
To be very honest, I only watch the show because of Aditya. The rest of the contestants are all equally talented, but I, being a hardcore, rock fan, believe that it's time India gets a fresh sound..n that is Aditya. He is a rock singer, but he brings a different touch to the songs he plays, n not to mention he has the charm to go with it.
Not to undermine the credibility of the other singers, but to me, they sound just like anyone else (in terms of tone, voice quality, choice of songs) than anyone on Indian Idol or SRGMP, so what differentiates them from those people? Aditya, by far, has been the only person, that when I heard him sing, I was like..YES! the Indian alternative (sound) scene is finally going mainstream...we are adopting new sounds and appreciating it! But I guess I was wrong..
As for Dalerjee, we know he has a tough job to do, but he needs to be a lil more lenient on some singers, taking into consideration that they are all performing live and small glitches tend to happen! And as for him judging Aditya, he should give the kid a break...The guy is awesome! n he's gonna be big one day!
These are ofcourse, my personal opinions, just wanted to share them...that doesn't mean I am saying the other singer's are not good..they are all brilliant..
