So I'm posting it here incase anyone's interested in reading it. Good luck understanding it though - it's written in Caribbean dialect!

Caribbean Dialect


Put in di yam, di potato and di spice,
'Cuz we Caribbean dialect not as plain as rice,
It rich, it rich as wah
It not like dem food dat serve raw

Dem posh-posh American go say,
"Hi, guys, how are you today?"
Buh in nice-nice Grenada,
Is, "All-yu, wha goin on today?"
While in Rasta country Jamaica,
"Aye man, how you a fi do today?"
Is wha dey go hear dem say.

We Caribbean dialect so diverse,
Dat dem American with us cah converse,
Watch dem scratch dey head when dey lost,
Buh sorry to say it at dey own cost.

'Cuz when dem proper British go say,
"Where are you today?"
Man is to hear di Vinicis say,
"Par you dey?"
Buh is when yuh hear, "A wey you be?"
Dat you know it come from a Trini.

We Caribbean dialect so mixed,
It go leave dem British transfixed,
Dey en know what we be sayin
Because dem English is jus too plain.

'Cuz when dem uptight Canadians go pur,
"What is wrong with her?"
The Bajans den go be,
"Whey wrong wid she?"
We go bring in di Antiguans too,
And let dem say, "Wha wran with you?"

We Caribbean dialect so blended,
The Canadian language it would have extended,
Dey might stay dey wonderin what goin on,
But on dem it will never dawn.

For we not from no America or Britain,
We en sittin down dey and playin with kitten,
We talking which an what way we want,
An leavin dem Canadian and dem to flaunt.

The rest of di world gol stay dey in shock,
Next time we mouth open to talk.
With dialects of the people, from the sun, sea and sand,
And most importantly, 100% Caribbean.


You know, I'm just thinking - this has nothing to do with FG 😳 So why the hell am I posting it? But ah well.
