Thank you. That what I was trying to say. It was more than revenge. What it was, is up to debate, I guess.

Okay. Read it. Before writing reply to it, tell me why Draupadi never wanted her husbands to be punished? Not everyone, but at least yudhi?

Well, for me, it is Kunti - the best; Karna - the next or equal or even superior (yet to fix); Krishna - fine. Rest - forget.

Jamy, few possibilities
1) For Indian women Mera Suhaag can do no wrong (less likely and she blames them in the Kamyaka vana convo to G; also a less likely example of the docile Bharatiya Nari I haven't seen😆) 2 ) She thought quick deaths would be too little for them 😈😆. She tears a strip off Yudhi for 5 sections in Vana parva and taunts Arjun after Keechak vadh. She repeats her ire at Yudhi's greed after the war. She could have thought listening to her till the day they died would be better punishment 😆

More likely is 3). In the DS she clearly says she DOES NOT blame Yudhi and then continually harangues him about it. I see it as her political skill in not acknowledging wrong doing, under the policy of 'anything you say can and will be used against you'. And regardless of how well she did her duties in IP, she did need Yudhi as rubber stamp, the society being what it was. Arjun and Bheem were absolutely essential to IP.

😲 Kunti?😆 I never met a Kunti fan before who didn't think her Ghar Ka Chiraag, Yudhi, was the most awesome human being to walk the earth

So I go with your choices 2 & 3.
Well, I am not a fan of Kunti. But for me, she is a tough puzzle (I love puzzles) & the most blood-thirsty villain of MB. There is a section where she INDIRECTLY requests Vyasa not to reveal truths about her beyond a limit & he agrees to do the same. I forgot where exactly it is, but it is there. And I love Karna, really do love him for reasons I can't reveal in public. Krishna, I respect him for his intelligence & I am neutral about others but a little more leaning towards Arjuna.

For me Panchali is both. She is my hero and I find her a puzzle. A woman whose past was wiped clean. Why? If we knew that, we may have answers to many questions. And her arguments in DS were outstanding. But more stellar was her convo with Yudhi.

Ju, I like, because of his supoort of women and his doubts before the war. I don't think his pacifist arguments ever lose their legitimacy. But there are times when peace is a sin.

G. I like him for his intentions, which I firmly believe were good even though his methods make me queasy

Btw, just have a thought. I believe that G looked on Ju as more of a son or a student. Before people pounce, that does not mean there was no love there. But a friend to me is one you treat as your equal, and for me the proof of the equality comes when you allow the friend to influence your thoughts every so often, instead of just the other way around.

1. Vajra became ruler of HP only after PsD went for swargarohana, if my memory is right. So whether Draupadi knew it or not is a matter of concern if that is true.
2. G knew the war would certainly happen at least 13 years before the war.
3. whose son would be the king did not matter to Krishna as he probably never wanted a sudden takeover by Yadavas. He wanted a slow, but steady progress which would not have made anyone suspicious.
4. What had Abhimany's kid to do with this whole thingy? It did not matter whether it was a male or female. Also, why would G have helped Abhi if he wanted Yadavas to rule?
5. All kings did not die in war and all kingdoms did not get attached to Aryavarta is what I think. It seems there formed no united Aryavarta. as there were many kingdoms, as alive as they were before, when Yudhi performed Ashwamedha.
