I thought Shivin would do an excellent job when I heard the confirmation about post leap casting and I was skeptical about both Vishal and Digangana!!! I liked the energy of Shivin as Yuvi in SG and I was pretty confident he would rock as the protective brother, I expected him to be a Cheetah when it comes to Veerakhdi, and the biggest plus was he looks so much like Bhavesh!!! I thought Vishal is too cute for Baldev and I found his earlier role Ayaan quite boring, so had literally no expectations to watch the evil smirks of Devish again!!! I did not have any expectations from Digangana as well, as I thought it would be too hard to bring out the equation little Harshita shared with Ranvi, Chaiji and Baldev!!!

Pre leap my favourite character was Ranviand I used to get irritated with Baldev , though the oy was very cute. Now it is just the reverse...i adore Baldev and find Ranvi spineless and am unable to find any bonding between Ranvi and Veera these days...the adorable veerakhdi and her anokhi maa have both gone missing

I too feel the same. Bhavesh and Harshita were excellent as Ranvi and Veera and I could identify them as an excellent example of a bro and sis but post leap, I cannot find the same with both Veera and Ranvi (may be because of their acting or their characters).

I beg to differ...i think shivinis the only one who has been able to keep up d essense of his chhota version...while others have somewhat given a different light to their character...i genuinely think he emotes beautiful esp d emotional scenes...infact i think its di who is more repetitive in her expressions n dsnt do justice to veera...i wish they casted someone else opp vishal coz he is too good for her!

I watched the first episode post leap, not for any actor but the show. But after the first 2-3 episodes I quit watching the show coz there was no "pull factor".
Later Baldev entered and I started watching the show again😆
The writing of this show has been lame post leap. Other than Veera none of the characters have been written well. Frankly, I don't see any difference between Baldev and Ranvi sparing the actors who play the respective roles. Baldev has always been given mediocre scenes. Infact, I think his character is the most badly written in the show, But the actor rises above the script and that's the reason why he is still watchable unlike Ranvi.
Ranvi atleast gets the advantage of being portrayed as a hero once in a while. Baldev is only Veera's love interest. So the writing has done injustice to almost every character.
SHivin has never impressed me as Ranvi. His body language is totally off and at times cringe worthy. Before focusing on good performances he should do something about that🤔
Shivin's either overacts in most of the scenes or doesn't emote at all, especially in emotional scenes.
His concern for Veera mostly appears to be fake.
Resemblance to Bhavesh is the only reason why I feel he was chosen for the role.😳
Without exaggeration, Ranvi was my favourite character pre leap. Post leap the actor has never made me connect to the character even when the writing was good. He gets to enact most of the emotional scenes in the show. Ideally he should be the one with whom the audience sympathize/connect the most. But Shivin has failed to do justice to the character. Let us not blame only writing here😆 After the first few episodes, it has always been bad😳, not just for Ranvi.

wah!i thought that i was only one who dont like grownup ranvi.ask me the power of acting, i had stopped watching veera post leap after watching 5-6 episodes only.when i had seen grownup ranvi & veera,i thought he is so handsome.veera was biggest disappointment for me.i had loved bhavesh & harshta as ranvi & veera.thy were irreplaceble for me.when i was too shocked to see their acting during award receiving function,it was so pathetic that i cursed makers for casting them.even that karan was better than them in acting.i stopped watching this show until poland promo appeared.i did not know who was shivin,vishal,di, & also about this forum .after watching veera poland promo ,i was checking abt it & come across this forum.i really liked vishal when i started watching again.but there is still no improvement in shivin.di has improved bt vishal is too good for her.even i join this forum becoz of vishal.i love him.

actually jyo problem is d way d character is being made post leap... Ranvi as a kid was never shy sharmeela types.. he was very out going.. he was bit reserved but he spoke up when and where necessary.. he stood up fa his sister and he wasnt so very naive... he had his own fears about many things.. but he was very firm minded and decisive.. he dint have to be told by anyone what to do... he was d one who decided to send veera to study and tried to earn fa her and fought with his mother for dat.. he was d one who fought wid baldev to safe guard many things for his sister like her birth truth etc..

Things took a total U turn, I was so disappointed how the Ranveera bond came out in the college scene!!! I adored the first Veeba scene and I was so surprised to see Vishal doing that evil smirk, it was as if I was watching Devish again, Digangana also looked every bit Harshita in that Veeba scene!!! I loved Veera scenes with both Baldev and Chaiji, but Ranveera magic was totally lost!!! Shivin came out as a big disappointment for me too, it was so hard to believe that he looked simply flat in emotional scenes with his fluttering eyelids and his weird body language and his super weird accent!!! I could not see that line of concern for his Veerakhdi when she was roaming around with Karan!!! Then his pronunciation kar daanga, dekh laanga... I used to roll my eyes whenever I heard that!!! It is not Punjabi slang dude!!! I thought it was much easier for a Dilliwaala boy to learn the nuances of Punjabi, but I don't think he invested that much of hard work to make it impeccable!!! Above all it was his flat expressions which annoyed me, you cannot have the same expression and body language when you hug your sister, mother and wife!!! CVs gotta be blamed for the weak characterization, but I have not seen that charm in Shivin to rise above the script even in a single instance!!!

Sorry my friend, you can fault him on many things but his Punjabi is on point!

He speaks the punjabi of a pindh and the "kar danga" stuff is legit...that's how many in the Maja district talk...his Punjabi is better then Ballu's Veera's and Gunjans! Balwant and Bansuri are good too, and chai ji's but the rest, I'm sorry the punjabi words and diction aren't always on point...

I love Ballu and he is pretty good...his eyes and acting make up for a lot of it...but for the punjabi dialogue delivery Shivin kills it!

I loved pre leap Ranvi...he actor was amazing.

His voice had depth and control and his eyes and facial expressions were solemn but confident.

He was also written well...and Bhavesh killed it with his acting. He was the man I the house and he wore it well...he was an anokhi ma to Veera...the audience never doubted him in that regard...we believe this kid in everything he did...the actor and the script were on point.

Post leap this is sadly missing. The quality of the show has gone down hill...the quality of the writin as well post leap...the character of Ranvi is ruined beyond recognition.


Can the CVs ever fix what thyve so brutally butchered?!

I think it's not just because of shivin's acting..pre leap both ranvi n veera were kids and the story was more concentrated on bro-sis bond which was a different concept from usual soaps..but post leap, as the characters grown up tge story is diverted to the love interests of both ranvi n veera n the bro-sis scenes felt so artificial,as if it is shown just because the name of the show is "ek veer ki ardaas veera"..i started watching the show seeing shivin because i liked him so much as yuvraj in suvreen guggal..but now i am watching the show only because of vishal n diganjana..and veeba is my favourite😳i am not at all interested in any other scenes or characters other than them..
