This post may sound cliche, but Iam trying to express a thought which has been plaguing my mind for quite sometime. It's about the choice of actor for Ranvi's role by the cvs. Just yesterday the childhood RanVeera bond ended in Star Utsav, while I watched the last episode of Ranvi bidding bye to his Veerakhdi with tearful eyes, I could'nt stop feeling bad that this is the end of a powerful performing Ranvi. Coz Shivin badly lacks the ability of powerful emoting. Though in the initial episodes, he was picking up the essence of his role, but later on he lost it completely. Viewers couldn't see the anoki maa in Shivin. As the lead protagonist, it should've been the cvs who should bring out the acting talent in the actor. Maybe or maybe not Shivin possesses the acting talent, but as Ranvi he lacks it badly.

What Bhavesh could do to the story hasn't even been half accomplished by Shivin, unfortunately. Have heard many things about the actors auditions, also got to know that Vishal had also auditioned for the same role, but I can't realise in what criteria the makers chose Shivin? Among the other three leads I find all of them capable of doing the role, but Shivin has disappointed many...

Just felt like putting a question, a concern infact..., What did the makers find in Shivin to choose him as Ranvi? Were they concerned about good looks? Coz no doubt he's a charming good looker, but what about the acting and performance part? Were the makers fully conscious when they chose him for the role? Coz till this day, I couldn't pinpoint one single scene where he outshines other actors or atleast as Ranvi!! Plz share your views, (Ranvi fans this is not offending your favorite but a question of acting talent)!!

PS: Do share how many of you agree with my views, plz!!

I agree with you. Ranvi was my fav character pre leap but post leap he is my least fav. Infact I have started disliking this character so much that I feel like changing the channel but dont do it fearing that I may miss out on a Baldev scene. 😒

I think the CVs chose the actor because he does look bada wala version of chhotu Ranvi. 🤔 I dont see any other reason.

More than Shivin, I believe it's the writers' fault that ruined Ranvi's character completely. In a bid to show Ranvi a mahaan character, they ended up making him spineless and a wallpaper. Ranvi in pre-leap episodes was a good hearted innocent boy but he had his own mind. Post leap, you just find the guy nodding his head to everything.

True, makers have more than equal share in butchering Ranvi's character! But are you sure it'd not have made any difference only if it was a better actor ??

This show was brilliantly handled and presented pre leap (not talking about the numbers) the concept nd content of the show was worth watching. There are many episodes from pre leap which are still fresh in my mind... But I guess with the leap not only the actors changed but the show as whole got transformed into regular daily soap and lost its motive, concept and essence.

Coming to Shivin's selection, initially I was happy with it but later my excitement got killed with his cold and dull appearance on screen.
Pre leap this show was only about Brother nd his baby sister with the leap their love tracks were expected but CVs decided to give more importance to their love stories than the actual concept of the show.

Ranvi's character got butchered to extent thatit appears lame.
Shivin has boyish nd cute looks which are perfect for roles like Yuvraj (his previous show) but not for Ranvi. Good looks can't be a eligibility to become an actor. In fact looks comes second or third in the criteria list... First he / she should know ACTING.

CVs stupid idea to progress the story and Shivin's below average performance has killed Ranvi. And it is not affecting that badly as they're getting good ratings... So nothing will change 😊

But yes as a viewer honestly this show was awesome before leap... Now its time pass that too Bcoz of few good actors.

P.S. Shivin should watch Bhavesh's performances like the scene where Ranvi comes to know that Nihal is reason for his father's death... Bhavesh did terrific job.

I'm not sure. What difference would it make? Less stammering I guess😆? But no good actor could have saved Ranvi because the writers themselves made him a very weak character.
