Part 3

After having seen the ring, Gunjan had put it on and was wearing it the whole day. Veera noticed all this and began to smile, happy that her and Baldev's plan was working.

Veera called Baldev.

Baldev: "Ki hoya? Gunjan ko angoothi mili?"

Veera: "Haan! Sab kuch accha chal raha hai. Gunjan didi muskura rahi hai aur woh angoothi pehen rahi hai. Bas ab veerji bhi unse acchi tarah baat kare, phir sab theek ho jayega."

Baldev (smiling): "Tu chinta mat kar. Sab theek ho jayega. Mainu tujh par poora vishwas hai."

Veera smiled and thanked Baldev. Just then, Ranvi got back home after working in the khet. Veera noticed Gunjan was being extra nice to Ranvi after getting the ring.

Gunjan: "Ranvi, khana tayaar hai. Veera, beeji, chaiji, aap sab bhi aaiye."

Everyone sat at the dining table for lunch. Gunjan was about to serve Ratan, but as usual she once again stopped her from serving by holding out her hand over her food. Everyone noticed. That's when Gunjan noticed for the first time that Ranvi gave Ratan a look, pleading with her to let Gunjan serve her, and forgive her for what happened in the past.

Ratan: "Theek hai, khana daal de. Waise bhi, tune bahut mehnat ki hai."

Gunjan smiled, relieved and grateful to Ranvi for the gesture.

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Ranvi ne sach mein mujhe maaf kar diya. Main bhi Ranvi ki madad karungi."

Later in the evening...

Baldev came over to meet Gunjan, but also to find out from Veera about how their plan was going.

Gunjan: "Veerji, aap yahan? Ki baat hai? Sab theek toh hai na?"

Baldev: "Arre haan, sab theek hai. Kya main apni behen nu milne nahin aa sakta."

When Baldev said this, he looked over at Veera, and winked at her without Gunjan noticing.

Veera was taken by surprise and without realizing she laughed out loud. Gunjan looked at Veera with a puzzled expression.

Ranvi came and sat down to talk to Veera and Baldev. That's when Gunjan quickly went to the kitchen to get some thing.

Gunjan: "Ranvi, yeh le. Maine khaas tere liye banayi hai, tujhse thank you kehne iss ring ke liye."

Gunjan gave Ranvi a bowl of gajar ka halwa that she had prepared specially for him. Ranvi was confused.

Ranvi: "Kaun si ring?"

Veera and Baldev looked at each other, completely panicking. This was not how their plan was supposed to go.

Baldev: "Voh Ranvi, Gunjan ka kehne ka matlab hai ki tu ghar main aur uske liye kitna sab karta hai. Isliye tujhe shukriya kehne ke liye ussne tere liye gajar ka halwa banaya hai."

Veera: "Haan veerji, khaiye na?"

Ranvi's suspicions were cleared and he had the gajar ka halwa. Only Gunjan still looked confused.

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Agar yeh angoothi Ranvi ne nahin khareedi, toh kisne?"

That's when Gunjan looked over at Baldev and Veera who were exchanging suspicious, nervous glances at each other every few minutes.

Gunjan (thinking to herself): "Veera aur veerji?"

Ranvi: "Gunjan, yeh gajar ka halwa bahut accha hai."

Gunjan broke out of her thoughts, and smiled when Ranvi said this. Gunjan didn't know why but she felt her cheeks become red, after hearing Ranvi's compliment.

Ranvi then left from there, to help beeji and chaiji with some things.

Baldev: "Chal Veera bahar chalte hai woh zaroori baat karne."

Veera understood what Baldev meant and was about to leave with him when Gunjan stopped them.

Gunjan: "Ek minute veerji aur Veera. Mainu aapse zaroori baat poochni hai."

Baldev and Veera were almost out the door, but were forced to stop and turn towards Gunjan to answer her question.

Gunjan: "Voh angoothi aap dono ne rakhi thi na? Sach bataiye, aapko meri kasam veerji."

Baldev looked helplessly at Veera, realizing that they were caught, and there was no way out.

Baldev: "Haan, yeh sach hai. Maine aur Veera ne tujhe aur Ranvi ko milane yeh sab kiya tha. Aur dekh Ranvi ko tera gajar ka halwa pasand aaya aur tu bhi khush hui thi na."

Gunjan: "Veera, itna sab kuch hua aur tune mainu maaf kar diya? Tu ab mujhse naraaz nahin hai ki maine tujhe tere asli beeji ke baare sach bataya?"

Veera: "Nahin Gunjan didi. Main ab aapse naraaz nahin hoon. Ek na ek din toh sach saamne aana hi tha."

Baldev: "Haan Gunjan, tu beeti baton ko bhool ja. Jo hua so hua."

Ranvi: "Kya kahan tum sab ne? Gunjan tune Veera ko sach bata diya?"

Veera, Baldev, and Gunjan were shocked. Ranvi who had come back downstairs after helping Ratan heard everything.

Veera (whispering to Baldev): "Ab kya karenge? Veerji ko sach pata chal gaya."

Baldev (whispered back): "Chup! Mainu sochne de!"
