Part 9

Veera started to gain consciousness. At first, her surroundings were blurry. Finally, Veera's eyes adjusted and she remembered hearing Surjeet Singh's conversation with the corrupt police officer and how someone had come from behind and put a cloth with chloroform on her mouth to make her unconscious. The warehouse looked abandoned. Without realizing, tears began streaming down Veera's eyes, thinking about her veerji, beeji, chaiji and Baldev.

Veera (screaming out): "Menu chod do! Maine kiya kya hai? Main vaada karti hoon ki main kissi ko kuch nahin bataungi, aur aapko police nahin pakdegi, agar aap mujhe jaane denge."

By this time, Surjeet Singh and Bakhtawar came out from the shadows of a dark area of the abandoned warehouse.

Surjeet Singh went up to where Veera was sitting tied to a chair.

Surjeet Singh: "Chod de? Tenu ki lagta hai, ki hum bewakoof hai? Agar tujhe chod denge to tu apne veerji aur sab nu sach bata degi. Yeh main nahin hone de sakta."

Veera was disgusted, hearing Surjeet Singh say all this, while standing just inches away from her. If Surjeet Singh had been standing any closer, Veera would have kicked him right where it would hurt the most.

Veera (thinking to herself): "Rabji, menu bacha lijiye inn gundo se. Main vaada karti hoon ki aaj se main apne veerji, aur beeji nu kabhi chot nahin pahunchaungi aur unki madad karungi."

She hoped and prayed that her veerji had got her recording that she had messaged him, and hoped that he still followed her plan to save Baldev. She trusted her veerji and Baldev, and knew that they would be here soon to save her from Surjeet Singh and Bakhthawar and get revenge for all the problems he has caused in their lives.

Meanwhile at Ranvi and Veera's house...

Ranvi began to worry.

Ranvi (thinking to himself): "Yeh Veera itni der kyun laga rahi hai? Ab tak toh usse vapis aajana tha Baldev se mil kar. Kahin usse kuch hua toh nahin? Nahin..meri Veerakhri samajhdar aur bahadur hai. Usse kuch nahin hoga."

Ranvi, being the anokhi maa, knew that something was not right. He decided to check his phone, and that's when he saw a message from Veera.

Ranvi: "Yeh kya? Veera ne yeh kya bheja hai?"

Ranvi began to play the message, which was the recording. He heard Surjeet Singh's confession about how the lassi poisoning was his plan to trap Baldev. He also explained that the man who had apparently died as a result of the lassi poisoning, was actually a story fabricated by Surjeet Singh and the police to arrest Baldev.

Ranvi was shocked, and now he realized that they had taken Veera away. Ranvi was filled with rage, and was ready to kill Surjeet Singh if he had to, to save his sister's life.

Ranvi: "Lekin, main yeh sab akele nahin kar sakta. Mujhe Baldev ko jail se bahaar lana hoga. And Ranvi realized that this video recording would help him prove that Baldev was innocent in all this, to help free him.

Ranvi: "Lekin yeh police waale sab mile hue hai? Mujhe Veera ne jo pehle bataya tha, voh plan karna hoga."

Ranvi called Balli and Jaggi to help him carry this out.

That evening...

Baldev didn't know why but he felt that something was not right. For some reason, he started to worry about Veera's safety.

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Veera sahi salamat ho. Menu aisa kyun lag raha hai jaise kuch bura hua ho ya phir honewala hai. Rabji, meri Veera theek ho bas."

The police station was pretty empty, except for 3 constables who were there to watch over Baldev.

Just then Baldev saw his chamchas, Balli and Jaggi coming in with drinks in their hand, and they seemed happy. Baldev looked questioningly at them. Jaggi gave a reassuring nod, letting him know that they knew what they were doing.

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Yeh gadhe yahan kya kar rahe hai?"

Constable: "Tum dono iss waqt yahan kya kar rahe ho? Aur yeh sharaab kis khushi mein?"

Balli: "Vahin toh ji, hum apne Baldev paaji ke saath unka janamdin manane aaye hai. Aap bhi piyo?"

The constables on duty were tempted to drink, but they also knew that they were on duty.

Baldev was really confused with what was happening.

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Mera janamdin? Yeh dono pagla gaye hai ki? Mera janamdin toh do mahine baad hai. Kya khichdi pak rahi hai inke dimaag mein?"

Balli and Jaggi again tried to convince the constables to drink the alcohol. Finally, the constables agreed.

Constable: "Thoda sharaab hi toh hai. Iss se kuch nahin hoga."

Balli and Jaggi smiled, and without the constables looking, they took out and quickly put some powder like substance in the constables drinks.

Now, Baldev really wondered what was going on. Once the constables drank the alcohol, they smiled, but soon after that they started to feel drowsy, and within minutes, they had gone to sleep.

Baldev was shocked.

Baldev (thinking to himself): "Yeh sab ki ho raha hai?"

Just then Balli called out to someone: "Paaji, aap andar aa sakte ho. Kaam ho gaya."

Baldev was curious to see and know who this person was who was behind all this. When Ranvi walked in, Baldev was completely taken by surprise.

Baldev: "Ranvi, tu? Itthe ki kar raha hai?"

Ranvi: "Dekh nahin raha? Main teri madad karne aaya hoon. Main jaanta hoon ki tune yeh sab nahin kiya."

Baldev noticed that Ranvi didn't look like his usual, happy, cheerful self. He looked sad, but also determined, like he had a goal to accomplish.

Jaggi took out the jail keys from one of the constable's pockets, and opened Baldev's jail cell for him.

Baldev smiled when he came out, and patted his chamchas on the back for their great work.

Baldev: "Ranvi, ki hoya? Tu aise mooh latkake kyun chal raha hai? Aur Veera kahan hai? Main janta hoon ki yeh sab zaroor Veera ne hi kiya hoga."

Jaggi and Balli glanced nervously at Ranvi.

Ranvi: "Baldev...voh...Veera ko Surjeet Singh ne pakad liya hai."

Baldev was shocked and now he became really angry, and his blood began to boil. How dare Surjeet Singh kidnap Veera, Baldev's pind di sherni.

Baldev: "Uss Surjeet Singh ki itni himmat! Jab voh mere haath aayega, tab main usse chodunga nahin. Maar dalunga usse."

Ranvi: "Baldev, thande dimaag se soch. Pehle humein Veera ko dhoondna hai, phir hum uss Surjeet Singh ko nipat lenge."

Baldev: "Tu ne police ko khabar di?"

Ranvi realized that Baldev didn't know the whole story yet. Ranvi filled Baldev in on everything that happened earlier at the police station with Veera and Surjeet Singh.

Baldev: "Accha, toh yeh baat hai. Sab ke sab mile hue hai! Unko toh main chodunga nahin."

Ranvi realized that Baldev really did love and care about Veera.

Ranvi: "Ab chal, humein Veera ko jald se jald dhoondna hoga."

Ranvi and Baldev, along with Jaggi and Balli drove to various possible spots where they felt Veera might be held captive, but couldn't find her anywhere.

Ranvi and Baldev were now frustrated and angry.

Ranvi: "Saara kona chaan maara, lekin Veer kahin nahin mili. Uss Surjeet Singh ne kahan rakha hoga Veera ko?"

Baldev thought of all the places that he knew Surjeet Singh might be familiar with, and then finally remembered one possible place, which neither of them had checked.

Baldev: "Ek jagah hai!"

Baldev was now determined to find Veera, and drove his jeep to where he thought and hoped she would be.

Back at the abandoned warehouse...

Veera was really tired and sleepy, but she stayed awake. She began to feel really thirsty.

Veera: "Paani, menu bahut pyaas lagi hai."

Bakhthawar looked to Surjeet Singh for his orders. Surjeet Singh nodded a yes.

Bakhthawar went and held the glass of water for Veera to drink. Veera drank it all and asked for more. This time, when Bakhthawar held the second glass of water for Veera to drink, Veera spat the water out in anger onto Bakhthawar's face.

Bakhthawar, in his rage, slapped Veera.

Bakhthawar: "Teri itni himmat?"

Veera (in anger): "Tum dono bach nahin sakte. Mere veerji aur Baldev aayenge."

Now Surjeet Singh was also irritated and had enough of Veera.

Surjeet Singh: "Ladki, tu sapne dekhti ja. Tera Baldev jail main hi phasa rahega, aur tere veerji bhi kuch madad nahin kar payenge."

Now Surjeet Singh was also irritated and had enough of Veera.

Veera: "Nahin..voh ayenge!"

This time, Surjeet Singh was about to slap Veera, when suddenly he heard a familiar voice.

Baldev: "Chod de usse Surjeet Singh!"

Surjeet Singh turned to see Baldev there, and he was not alone. Ranvi was there with him.

Baldev: "Surjeet Singh, teri himmat kaise hui meri Veera par haath uthaane ki?"

Veera couldn't help but smile, relieved to see Baldev there, and her veerji as well to save her from Surjeet Singh and Bakhthawar.

Surjeet Singh: "Baldev, to tu aur Ranvi aa hi gaye? Lekin tu jail se bahar kaise aaagaya?"

Baldev: "Mujhe tujhe koi safai nahin deni. Agar tu asli mard hai, to tu Veera nu chod dega aur yeh ladai sirf tu aur main ladenge, Veera nahin."

Ranvi: "Haan Surjeet Singh, Baldev theek keh raha hai. Meri behen nu chod de. Police kisi waqt yahan aa sakti hai."

Surjeet Singh (laughing): Police! Tum dono ko kya lagta hai, ki police mujhe giraftaar karegi? Voh sab mere liye kaam karte hai."

Baldev in anger, went up to Surjeet Singh and held his collar. Ranvi went and stopped Baldev.

Ranvi: "Baldev, chod de usse. Pehle hum Veera ko yahan se le jaate hai, phir hum iss Surjeet Singh aur Bakhthawar se nipat lenge."

Baldev was untying Veera's hands and legs from the chair, when suddenly Veera saw Bakhthawar heading towards Baldev to hit him with a bat. Ranvi was busy, keeping watch on Surjeet Singh, so he didn't notice what was happening.

Veera (screamed out): "Baldev, dekh tere peeche!"

Baldev turned around in time and just as Bakhthawar was about to hit Baldev with the bat, Baldev caught hold of the bat, and threw it in Ranvi's direction. Ranvi caught the bat, and held it to warn Surjeet Singh as well as Bakhthawar to stay away from them. Bakhthawar watched in shock.

Baldev started to fight with Bakhthawar, by punching him in the face. But before he could hurt him any further, the police arrived along with Balwant.

Baldev, Ranvi and Veera smiled. Ranvi and Baldev were happy that they had called Balwant earlier, who then contacted the top police officers to get here in time to help them. Balwant had told the cops everything about Surjeet Singh and Bakhthawar, as well as about the corrupt police officers working for Surjeet Singh.

The police took away Surjeet Singh and Bakhthawar in handcuffs. Veera, in her happiness, forgot about her veerji and Balwant being there, and went straight to hug Baldev. Baldev was taken by surprise, but was happy to have Veera back. He hugged her back, and smiled. Both were in their own world, happy to be together, until they heard Balwant clearing his throat. Baldev and Veera realized where they were and broke away from their hug. Veera's face turned red. Ranvi and Balwant laughed. Veera remembered that she had not hugged her veerji, and went and hugged Ranvi, who was happy to see his sister safe.

Balwant: "Veera puttar, menu bahut khushi hai ke tu theek hai. Aur Baldev puttar, aaj menu tujh par bahut garv hai."

Baldev and Veera smiled and thanked Balwant.

Ranvi: "Haan Veera, ab chal ghar chal. Pind vich sab tera intezaar kar rahe honge."

Baldev, Veera, Ranvi and Balwant returned home, and were happily greeted by everyone in the pind.

Ratan and Chaiji were relieved to see Veera back home safe and they hugged her.

Ratan: "Veera, tu theek toh hai? Agar tujhe kuch hua hota toh?"

Veera hugged Ratan, happy to see her beeji.

Veera: "Beeji, jab aapka ashirwaad aur pyaar hai mere saath, to menu kuch nahin ho sakta. Aur mere veerji aur chaiji bhi toh hai mere saath."

Ranvi, beeji and chaiji smiled and they were like a happy, complete family. Baldev was happy to see his Veera back home, safe and surrounded by her loved ones.

Balli and Jaggi came there, and so did Dalbeer.

Balli: "Veera aur Baldev paaji, kal raat hum sab ne Veera ke ghar vapis aane ki khushi mein party rakhi hai. Pind ke saare log vahan honge."

Jaggi: "Haan paaji, aap sab ko aana hoga."

Dalbeer: "Haan Veera, tenu pata hai, maine dhabe se sab khana taiyaar kiya hai iss shandaar party ke liye."

Veera: "Vaah, yeh to bahut acchi baat hai. Thank you Dalbeer veerji, Jaggi veerji aur Balli veerji."

Baldev: "Changa! To kal hum sab party karenge, aur daru, sharu piyenge."

Veera glared at Baldev, when he spoke about drinking alcohol.

Baldev noticed, and said: "Mera matlab, lassi, vassi piyenge."

Veera smiled, satisfied with Baldev's answer.

Later that night, Baldev took Jaggi and Balli to the side to speak to them in private about something important.

Jaggi: "Paaji, ki baat hai?"

Baldev: "Voh maine soch liya hai, ki kal raat, uss party mein, main Veera ko shaadi ke liye propose karunga."

Balli and Jaggi were happy for Baldev.

Balli: "Paaji, yeh toh bahut acchi baat hai. Aapki aur Veera ki jodi bahut dhamakedaar hogi."

Baldev smiled, happy with what he had planned. He hoped that Veera liked his surprise.
