No sushpective!😒
OK. I will go gung-ho like Gayatri as of now...since the show is still look interesting.

RNJ in black is almost as interesting as in white, I agree.😳😉

I liked the episode. It was light hearted. I was smiling through it.

I felt Gayatri was too bossy, but Rana seems to approve. (I am dropping the ji for the time being, since Ranaji must be tired of the ji!😆) Her arguments were quite good actually, be it the alcohol or the food..There is a lot of stuff that goes waste when the subjects are starving, so I liked the kitchen scene.

What I loved best was the last scene where RNJ leaves in a huff, throwing that dialogue at his mom...😆...This is the bill for your folly or something like that...😆

Precap: I must say they are moving at a fast pace...Kitchen could be one whole track, they ended it in one episode...and on to more foolishness from Gayatri' side...Poor thing, her heart is in the right place... she is doing it all for RNJ and not for herself...but she is only going to be misinterpreted and misrepresented.

Info,

There was no triumphant look..instead it was a look that seemed to say, 'I hope you don't mind'...Quite sweet, actually. Gayatri made it clear to Swarna that she was going to win over RNJ's heart...and she was respectful today.

Bertie,

You wanted a hint. Its there on this page. 😉

Good point! They are all pretty slim already ...with all the ghee wala food...😆

Soup...what was the clue you were talking about?

Peeps...don't blame me if I quit the show...after hearing one more "ji" from Gayatri as a way of addressing RNJ...call him Ranaji...IV ...patidev...whatever...but not that dreaded ji! It takes the romance away in a fraction of a second...🤢

Don't ask me why it bothers me so much...it just does...and that would be my official reason for quitting...I promise!

No Sushpective?I knew it when i saw y'day epi😆
Glad, we are still talking here.

Infofan- YES! Black or white Knight is the best! I think i'll bail out if i hear about the horse getting sacked or Sulu coming alive.😆

Kicthen politics& the Kunwars -won't talk about it. Please give Laksh something nasty to do.That actor is being wasted.
Liked the eavesdropping King, the smile too soon tho'.Strangely connected with the sawariya that played y'day.

I like the twist they brought in with the tax (??) on the new Non-Rajput Queen. Some twisted version of the Doctrine of lapse, am not expecting any historic accuracy here,so it's ok.👏 for the CVs.
Just wished they have shown G in her blabbering, innocent Gaythri mode walking the corridor, post confrontation mumbling something abt the task ahead and then meeting Swarna. As an opening scene,it lacked continuity.
this is supposed to be her transition from the innocent commoner to reigning Queen, needs more care and some thought.
I like G's "Ji" and the effect it had on the King.It was cute.I think, it's gonna be a couple thing and we better get used to it.

BTW, G only banned foreign liquor ,i think, she didn't enforce prohibition or ban non-veg. Will they brew their own liquor?

Honestly, I don't know why I am here, 'cause I hav nothing to post!! 😕 Then I got inspired as the ""Ji"" was indeed very irritating. 😡 I am going to address Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo as Rana Deo (am sure he uses a good one too!!) in all my posts hereon!! (Don't know for how long!) 😲

A read a post and saw a video about a jungle sequence with the 'Zeher tadka' of snake-bite! 😃 Gayatri's black Saree and Blouse! OMG. Rana Deo would hav to smell good enough to carry her to the RajMahal and... 😉 I would watch till this scene is played out!!

Hello,

Don't blame you, Sush..don't blame you at all...!

Was so freaking mad last night..! I didn't sign up to watch a cookery show or one on 'Good Wives' ( no, I don't mean the Louisa .M.Alcott one..just borrowing her title to use as a phrase). There's Khana Khazana for the first and the entire gamut of saas-bahu shows that are hell bent on teaching us sanskaars for the second!

There were only two moments in the whole episode that I actually liked! One serious LoL moment was when Kunwar chachi wondered what the poor would eat since they were eating their food! Actually, the joke is lost in translation but that woman cracks me up at times! As much as she is irritating at others!

The second was the expression on Rana ji's face when Gayathri asked him how he liked the food, prefixing or was it suffixing that dreaded 'Ji! And then his grudging approval! That was cute!

That 'Ji' is so unroyal, Sush! Just not cool! I just hate it when she says it! Am sure Rana ji does it too secretly. Someday, once they are reconciled and all, hope he tells her to stop calling him that! He could teach her to call him 'Honey' maybe 😆 Since it was made patently obvious to us that Gayathri is such a gawar that half the conversation at the table flies well over her head, unless it is about jeere ka tadka!

Yes, I liked the last outburst over how she had cost them the tax! It was done nicely!

But I am not able to understand characterization now! It is as if the dining table outburst never happened!

Rana ji is back to his pre SR mode, when he smiled in benign approval of her anti British stance. On Gayathri, I would rather not say frankly!

Chick, what did I tell you about the over-the- top? We saw that on ample display yesterday!

Agree with you on Laksh, Chick...the guy seems a good actor...he can do better than be embarrassed by his parents openly canoodling in his presence!

Even Rajmata was being the all approving mother-in-law, but I still get her. She is still desperately trying to sell the bahu to her son. Aakhir, pote ki muh jo deknhi hai!

Liked that part about foreign liquor and how they were adding to the British coffers. Nice touch that and just what would appeal to Rana ji! No wonder the man was smiling as he walked off! Got to give him that! However much he may dislike Gayathri, he does not put her down when she makes sense!

Again the only dialogue that I liked in the jeere ka tadka' scene was Ranaji's on being a soldier and not being able to afford the luxury of fussing over food!

The entire scene could have focused on how the food was being wasted and dumped, how she was trying to organize for its distribution to the needy, how they would have to adopt certain austerity measures in solidarity with their people and so on! She would have sounded like a Queen instead of like Sanjeev Kapoor or worse, Gopi or Akshara bahu!

If this trend continues, really wonder how long I will stick around!

P.S- I guess you are talking of the BFF and her last show, Chick?!

Sims it looks like you and I have to rally the troops. You do the virtual spa while I find other ways to keep 'em here. .

BTW was RNJ surprised to learn Gayu doesnt know English at the dinner table?

Bertie hang in there yaar. Where else can you watch female version of Sanjeev Kapoor and knight in white in the same episode?

And our rani is way ahead of her times. Cooking healthy, low fat meals for the royal family. Going by the in depth research done by this PH, they might stick a solar powered microwave in there saying Gayu invented it to make low fat meals.😛

She is a trend setter, very inspirational.😛 I do prefer watching sitcoms in general and this is turning into one rapidly, unintentionally though unfortunately.

Hmm looks like I'm the only one who likes the Ji here. Posted this somewhere, here's my defense😆
i think, G is used to seeing her Mom& bhabhis address their husbands like that and was probably dreaming about doing that herself. Just those times
She did use Ji, when she went to ask for Sindhoor, first day after her marriage. It's more of how a commoner from those times would address & interact with her husband. Her "unka kamra" etc was found funny by the women, she had to switch to Rnaji's kamra.

Bertie- yes, the "JI" is un-royal. it is common and she is a commoner, married to her dream man,he just happens to be the ruler.IMO, Jiing banta hai.😆
Let me see, whether i can romanticize that one, imagine, she is the only one in the whole universe who calls him JI.No Sona,no Mona. and he is the only one she calls that.
