Dear all,
First of all thank you for all the posts, responses, discussions, points and counterpoints about yesterday's episode. I think there was one common feeling...the characters of both leads were compromised yesterday...Many of you were imaginative enough to see, what didn't come across to many...Many connected and explained the actions of RNJ to the insult he went through before, and some to the changing avatars of Gayatri ...taking a stand to give up everything, change to her cotton clothes and go back to a self respecting person who comes back to clear her name to a desperate woman begging to be accepted...No one liked the latter ...No explanation were given for the begging avatar...apart from may be setting the stage to justify RNJs impression of an imposture of her...

I was going to skip making a post today, hangover from yesterday...but since I was to able to respond to all the wonderful and passionate posts that were made on Sushpective ...I thought it is incumbent upon me ...to respond and write this post today...
Unlike yesterday...RAGA one on one scene was better today...

What I did like today...was how Gayatri approached RNJ about his yesterday's transgression...It was clear, it didn't break her spirit, or made her hurt or desperate that she was accused...but she very calmly told him that he was wrong in his accusation and presented circumstantial evidence to establish motive...RM had taken debt from many...but she made the proposal only to Govind Seth...now that's the characteristic of a strong woman to be able to stand up to false accusations without accusing others...or acting cheaply...!!!! The other dialogues were well written too! ( it's another matter that we are only hearing today that there were other people RM took the loan from...well will let that one go)

She was also clear in stating that the only reason she did it because she loves him...and it had to destined...it is also due to destiny that she loves him and he hates her...but that she believes that they are destined to be together...and his hate will give way to the truth...

Why is she so confident? That one is simple...because his hate is based on false assumptions...and once be knows the truth...he will not hate her...she believes in his judgment once he knows the truth...okay that's fine...

But seriously...how can you be sure ...anyone will love anyone...if there are no MUs? That's sort of preposterous...but...the dialogues were written more cleverly...she doesn't quite say...he will be in love with her...just that they will light the diyas together...which could mean he will not have the MU any more...

The bossing around to the server was absolutely not needed...and made her look like a person imitating the queen rather than the Gayatri we loved...who was kind and considerate, virtuous and real!

After yesterday's fiasco...RNJ recovered today for me...I think it is best for me to overlook RNJs behavior yesterday as I did Gayatris during the bichua episode..

Oh yes...I did like the precap ...and her desire to help RNJ pay the debts, and also the actions!
Goes to establish real virtue... that one still makes sense!

I just want to be able to like both leads and like watching their story...I hope that's not too much to ask for!

Rajmata has been consistent...she did sweep up the mess created by RNJs actions yesterday...surprisingly she forgave both Gayatri and RNJ easily for their transgressions...not something she was willing to do for Kuwar chachi...

She seems to be the anchor...

Sush, I am thinking of watching few more episodes too for the time being. Bauji and Gayu scene was a favorite today. Even RM was moved, possibly the first time. It was also good to see her stand up for Gayu in the kitchen.

RNJ's behavior yesterday has opened the door to Chachi-chacha and LR misbehaving with Gayu. Chachi seriously does not behave like a royal. CVs need to be careful too not to include these sleazy taunting scenes in public by all and sundry.

Gayu ordering the servant to bring food was đŸ‘ŽđŸŒ unlike her. Behaving like a queen doesnt mean she behaves bossy.

I am unwell, keeping it short today.

Bauji was looking at a photo of himself and Gayu in her childhood. How common were cameras those days? That photo would have been taken sometime in the late 1930s. The bhabhis behaved like they had never seen or heard of the camera when the royal photographer came to take Gayu's pic before the wedding.

Darn, I always notice the small stuff. The glass Gayu drank water from... couldnt they use something that looked like silver?

Sush, thanks for posting it even when you were not inspired.
IMO, this show is getting TRPised fast.Liked the Seth-G scene, and Mr&Mrs Seth too. That's how families rally to solve big issues and the Seths have a king size issue on their hands.
RaGa face-off, as you said dialogues were clever.TG, there was no war cry from G as, "thou shall fill my maang before karva chaut".
I liked RM looking after her DIL, but please stop butchering Kokila too.She wants to be the next Maharani, when her Maharaj becomes the King.I don't like silly kitchen politics.and the amount of screen space Kokila is getting is a concern for me.
RNJ's dialogue only reinforced, what some of us were saying y'day the "WHY" of his public humiliation,it was his way of telling her to "Back off.stop trying to be my wife"😆

I'm off for meetings, won't be around here

Before i leave, agree with Sush & Infofan, G bossing over the servant was cheap and silly.
And i didn't like that glass, it's not 40sđŸ„±

I just watched RaGA scene. I had forwarded it earlier.

Sims, Bertie, he is in white ... the world is a better place now😆

Since when were pati-patni equals especially in the 1940's? 😕 All that attitude from Gayu was totally for TRPs. FL saves and reforms the King and Kingdom.đŸ€ą Also dont understand the need for her to explain why she wants to eat.

Honestly I would have liked her saying she will help pay off the debt and prove her and bauji's innocence instead of 'jeet of her love'! Love marriages were not common those days and one cant challenge someone to fall in love.

Oh I like to hear the man in white call her Rani. 😳

Hello Sush,

Thanks for the post despite the downer the previous episode clearly was for you!

Miss Shweta's collages but well...I understand!

Yesterday's episode has been discussed ad nauseam. So let it be! Like you've said, if you can forgive Gayathri for her appalling behaviour at the bichiya ritual, you can forgive Ranaji for his boorish ways at the dining table!

My problem increasingly is less with the writing and more with the execution. Why is it getting so ham- handed on occasion? What was with that conversation that Ranaji had with Mr Johnson, who was either invisible or hiding behind the door? If they didn't want to spend on an actor, couldn't they have gotten a vintage telephone as prop?

Yesterday, while I liked the fact that Rajmata had Gayathri's back and was trying to clean up the mess her son had created, I hated the low class brawl in the kitchen. This is not some saas bahu show. These are royals, for Chrissakes! Kunwar Chachi's cheap nautanki is a no-go for me! If you must show her taunting, get her to do it with some class. Not like a saas from some Ekta soap!

I liked the fact that Govind Seth turned up at the royal durbar and had his say. Much needed shot in the arm for Gayathri. To know that she is not fighting this fight alone. Liked the scene where she decides against meeting her father because she does not want him to see her tear stricken face. the daughter wants to protect the father and vice versa! Hope she understands what Govind Seth was trying earlier!

Rajmata displayed rare emotion on seeing Govind Seth's tears! Can't blame her, genuine emotion must be rare in the royal quarters.

Anita Raaj is a class apart! Like I was telling a friend, she alone makes the show worth watching for me!

While I liked the chemistry in the scene between the leads, I was rather taken aback to hear of more creditors. So, if they start crawling out of the wood works, will Govind Seth have to buy them off or will there be more marriages that Rajmata will have to arrange 😆

Jokes apart, a very sensible approach by Gayathri, to give up her on her efforts to establish her innocence. But did it have to end in a verbal challenge about how her love will win over his hatred? And that too by Diwali? Do you make people fall in love by the calendar? And do you make people fall in love at all? Isn't that supposed to be an organic process somewhat? Do we have to spell everything out? Can't certain thoughts remain just that or not even that? Will creatives never learn the power of subtlety?

Rana ji was left with no choice but to issue a counter challenge thereafter. And what better than to address the very issue that had brought her into his life! I would have preferred him to have wanted to address it even otherwise, and not just to get her off his back!

So Gayathri will be the adarsh patni, who will assist her husband in his efforts to kick her out of his life? Would it have been better to have ignored that part and instead said that as Queen, it was as much her responsibility to wipe off the royal debts? It would have been more lady like for one, and not serial bahu like! Sigh, guess am expecting too much!

Rana ji was left bereft of words finally! Or at least he chose not to retort verbally! I like that! Really like that! So much better than the verbal diarhoea of the previous night!

I really liked the lines about the arrows, both the lead and the verbal kind! I think the dialogue writers have been doing a great job overall!

But that last part where she ended up seeming a spoiled brat when she attempted to display her royal airs? Why and to what purpose? Who was she trying to impress? The king or the royal attendants? Neither seemed particularly impressed!

Gayathri should leave queenly airs to Rajmata. At least until she masters the art. She comes across as petulant more than regal, sorry!

@ infofan..

Sorry am replying here cause of my post restrictions...but yes, for a man of Seth ji's status, it would not have been uncommon to get a photograph taken...as for the bhabhis, clearly they are gawar types...hence the hyperventilating maybe...!

As for the knight in white, why do you think I put up a spirited defense of the man yesterday...it was all thanks to the precap 😆
