Class Difference!

When Govind Seth and his family came to the party, the difference between them an others were so obvious. The cvs showed it so distinctly. Govind Seth was the only one with full family, others, not many!

And the way Govind Seth tried to show that with his money he could buy a buggy for his family was the show off new money!

And being a self made man, he does not believe in Raja and their ruling style would continue in India anymore.

Inspite of my liking for the chr, today i dint like the way he pointedly asked diwan about the debt! Talking about money is a complete No in this context! I loved the way Diwanji answered him!

An elephant evn when forced to sit, is still bigger than other animals. Brilliant dialogue!

New money shows! And today cvs showed up that difference! Rajmata, inspite of financial troubles, puts on a fake cover that all is well! on other hand we have Govind seth, who does not hesitate to talk abt money when he has been invited for a social program!

I noticed the class difference mainly with the women, the two wives with their dupattas up and covering their mouths with one hand, really showing the class difference, I was feeling why did they want to come if they are going to behave like villagers. Despite all their money they haven't educated themselves and still cling to their village ways.

Class difference was very well visible. Govind seth can buy anything with his money but cannot buy the class what other people present in the party had

Loved reading your take on the old money vs. new money. There are so many layers, so many subtle themes in this show that it's hard to catch them all.

yes in gayu's family only govind seth and gayatri looks and behave as progressive rest still have regressive thoughts with money they cant change themselves same with rajamata and co without money they represent their fake status ...
