Kalpi mouth drop, she shook her head in denial " no, it cant be"
" its true kalpi, we have no future, we were scam"
Kalpi eyes held so much emotions, but she had to stay strong, seeing the group, obvious disappointment. She knew it was her fault, she shouldn't have trusted that man, but she did. She ruined their life.
Suddenly, she recalled Gauri words from yesterday. She didn't d well on it to long because the police arrived. " you" he says pointing at Pakiya " are under arrest for stealing a golden necklace."
" what!!" The group says
" officer your mistaken" Kalpi said
The officer scoff, " the owner of this shop said, you stole his gold necklace."
" he's lying, it was ours" she said
The police officer ignored her and handcuff Pakiya before taking him. Pakiya looking at Kalpi tells her to watch over the group. He says he will come out, not to worry. " no family left behind " he says
Kalpi repeats those words before they left. The group says " what will we do now? "
" we have to find proof or at least convince, the officer again" she says determine.
Meanwhile, Gauri was in her office on the phone with the bank. She was upset because somehow, her husband manage to hide a small detail from her. She was to rash and didn't read the minor detail. " hello?" The voice said
" ah...Mr. kumar, it's Gauri. "
" Gauri darling what can I do for you?"
" well I found out that my son has a private bank account, is that right"
The man thought about it " ah...yes, your husband came and create it."
" I see" she says " but Mr. Kumar, you should know that my son has been gone for 15years."
" I'm sorry for your loss mam"
" thank you, so is their anyway i can cancel that account so i wont get into dept"
Kumar thought about it " unfortunately no, as long as your business is running, you wont have to worry about that"
Gauri impatient says " their has to be another way I can cancel this arrangement "
" well, I will see what I can do. But it will take time to find a loop hole"
" that's all I ask" she says before hanging up.
Elsewhere, when Kalpi arrived, they saw the police officer and the owner, seating down. The officer was questioning Pakiya about the necklace and how he got it. Kalpi saw blood stain on his lower lip. She was angry, " Pakiya" she says
The owner smirk " I see your dirty friends came to the rescue"
Kalpi glare at him "dirty, if I recall mother nature does not like waste, soon you will be down on the ground like a rotten dirty trash, once I'm through with you"
The man cross his arm out of anger " I would watch what you say , after all I have the upper hand."
" you may have the upper hand now, but God will always stand with the truth."
The police officer roll his eyes " enough with the trash talk." He says
Kalpi took a deep breath and calm down " officer this man is a cheater, we came to him yesterday to pawn the necklace he clam we have, and use it for his own benefit. "
" lies" he says " officer I saw these kids entering my shop, after I was holding my necklace. I went to the bathroom for a quick second and when I came back the necklace was gone." " I search everywhere for them, but when I couldn't find them, I almost gave up until I heard them say they will be back tomorrow"
" lies!" Pakiya says " asks him officer, how he became so rich so fast"
The man move nervously, he quickly says " I won the lottery, besides call and ask the bank, they will tell you they don't have the necklace with them"
Kalpi says " I couldn't agree more, please do officer"
And so the officer calls. The bank says they don't have a necklace here. The officer tells everyone.the man smirk " didn't I tell you "
" they must be lying " one teen says
Kalpi says something isn't right, she asks if the man bribe him or give him money. The police officer turn to Kalpi " your brother convicted of a felony. He will be locked up for five years"
