Former President A P J Abdul Kalam was today admitted to a hospital here following sudden illness and was subsequently declared dead.

A P J Abdul Kalam (84) took ill at a function here and was rushed to the hospital, M Kharkrang, SP Khasi Hills, said.

The former President Abdul Kalam collapsed during a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM, Shillong) here at around 6.30pm and was taken to the hospital

I never heard of him, but from the sounds of it he is a very good person..

Dr. A. P. J Abdul kalam was the formal 11th President of India the missale man...to whom every youngster every student worship as idel...he is real symbol of manhood... Who sacrifice his whole life only for country. He gave India the new identy in international community. He is Bharatratna...

This is his identity... India in true winds lost his soul...

I pray god will give him peace...no one forget him ever...he is the century man.😭

😭 Dr APJ Kalam .. A Man wth golden heart.. He was hero.. Is my hero.. Nd will be my hero ... He'll be alive in my heart forever...

Wish we learn something from him... He was person who got bharat ratna.. Was X president.. But still he knows how to respect people nd humanity... A person who was down to earth.. A person who sold news paper.. Nd become a pesident of our nation.. A person who was always eager to learn something new... A good teacher... I think he is the superstar.. True rockstar...

It was my dream to meet him once in my life time.. Nd today ..

May god rest him in peace..
