The fluffy sand of the desert shined like a golden carpet on the earth, the bright sunrays spread their positivity with a bright smile everywhere. The morning birds sing the song of happiness, when the divine words felled on his ears. Jerking his deep slumber Raghav lift his head toward the voice, he saw her standing there surfacing the waterway to the god sun, the mantra from her lips take him to the new world called heaven for little time...Raghav stay like that closing his eyes deeply involved in her tune for some time, whenever Sammy not broke his trance.
"where you lost?" Raghav nod his head negatively with a small smile on his question, and again closed his eyes to feel the tune.
The hard wheels of the Jeep trying to settle in the soft sand, but the hot desert trying to enmesh them in it, while the Raghav's hand not ready to leave his grip of his wheels on earth. The desert and he are busy in fighting with each other, while Maya and Kalpi already matched their way as the name of friendship with each other. They both are busy in woman's talking while Raghav was in observing her from the rear view mirror of his jeep. Her aflare locks were playing with air, which she tried to adjust them on her ear, but that scampy troubled her again and again. Raghav felt jealous by her locks...that he was not fortune like that locks who not once left the chance to touch her.
"Where is your village kaka?" Sammy not holds him to ask the question in as of his curiosity and with him everyone's attention turned toward Vitthal.
"if you turned left from this way, a small hill start, just along with hill, my village is placed...kandwa" (kandwa, its places and all information are my imagination...I don't know about this place...so guys please bear this)
"Kandwa...you are living in Kandwa...we also go there" Kalpi and Vitthal watched Maya surprisingly, "Raghav wants to make a documentary on the Kandwa palace...we heard...it's very beautiful".
"Baisa...I suggest you all not to go there..." Vitthal whispered slowly, made Raghav Sammy and Maya surprised "it's haunted palace...no one go there..."
"Baba...it's not hunted...you people made the wrong story about the palace" Kalpi spoke in between.
"But beta..." "Don't worry kaka...we not believed on ghost stories, and it's matter of only one weak...we will manage" Raghav assured him about their safety but his word of only one weak skipped her heart unknowingly...which she don't understand.
"you maybe hukum...but be careful...not from the ghost...but the people who are more danger than ghost" vitthal's unspoken but spoken fear drove them think about their mission to Kandwa palace, but jerking of this pointless thought...they continued their journey of kandwa.
Their jeep touched the border of kandwa village, a small village of 60 to 70 small shanties with a cofferdam or says a big mansion and a small guest house covered with the yellow clay everywhere. The all people of village watched them with surprise, as it was not less than any wonder to see Vitthal and Kalpi came in a four wheeler.
Raghav watched their small log cabin with drawings of red ink showing the real traditional design of culture of Rajasthan, and a small yard with one cow and three goat...which chilling his heart in large hotness of desert, the all things touched him, and he start taking the pictures in his camera.
"Khammagani...photographer saab" a strong voice caught his attention. Raghav watched him surprisingly when,
"He is the Sarpanch of this village...th..." Vitthal was about to answer but stopped seeing the palm of the man.
"I am the sarpanch and the owner of the Kandwa...Thakur samant singh" he replied in great tone, Raghav too nodded in Namaste by gesture but in crack gaze.
"Don't you think you stopped at wrong place...my mansion is there" samant singh returned tauntingly looking at Vitthal, Vitthal lowered his gaze, while Kalpi stared him fumingly. Raghav understood the situation and about to speak,
"You are right sarpanchji...we are our way to meet you" Sammy handled the condition before Raghav messed it, "we need his permission Raghav try to understand" Raghav nods his head dejectedly and they moved toward Samant's kothi unwillingly.
"What you think to do with kandwa palace" samant spoke coldly putting his cup of tea on table.
"We want to make the documentary on that palace...and for that we need your permission sir" Sammy replied calmly.
"Permission... I will give you, but who take you there, you don't know about the story of palace...it's haunted. If any wrong happen...don't blame us...that we kandwa villagers didn't inform you before...by the way are you strong enough to face the ghost or you will run away showing your back to him" he laughed insultingly and with him his other men too join him.
Raghav's anger reached at its peak but Maya hold his hand to control him, "you don't need to worry for us sir, only tell me who come with us for guiding" Sammy returned in strong and stable tone.
"No no...we villagers never go there" samant replied in fear in his voice, while his men also bend their head in disapprove. Raghav smirked.
"Oh...then you are very delicate hearted people...but I thought we will get any strong heart who guides us the kandwa palace" Raghav uttered rigidly with a crook smile on his face, made them all shut their mouth. But made someone chuckled on his words slowly.
"What are you doing here? Go inside" a man roared with acerbity, make his wife jumped in fear, kanchan ran inside the house lowering her gaze. Balwant walked toward his father, when his gaze meets with Raghav with a kind of hatred in them. A jolt of unknown emotion ran in Raghav's heart, but he ignored it and they all turned toward their guest house.
