On popular demand as to what preparation went into the cockroach track, telly bhakwaas revisited the sets of EMA. We were unprepared by what greeted us. We saw Kamala spending all her time before the shoot in front of the dustbin and thereafter getting into the municipal vehicle that transports the waste into the dumpyard.
Praising her commitment to her job, Punch Dead who is the sole brain behind this dustbin show, informed us, we have artistes who are very focussed. Just as Poo thinks only of Shahrukh and maintains silence before her part to convey the intensity, Kamala too does not want to be left behind. When I informed her that she would have to prevent Raghav and the delegates from spotting the cockroach, she got all excited. From that day onward, she is always skulking around drainpipes and garbage bins in the hope of studying cockroach behavioral pattern. Though Kalpi tried to tell her that an easier and cleaner way would be to watch Animal Planet, Kamala believes in ground work. She is not the one to sit in the comfort of her home , unlike some people. She is ,at present well versed in their jumping pattern and can tell us exactly in which direction the cockroaches would run.
A funny thing , however PD added , is whenever Kamala opens her mouth, the insects take off in an exactly opposite direction. It is like they hear her voice and seem to flee. That is the bonding between Kamala and the insects...see, she can mesmerise any thing with her pojitivity, claimed PD. I only hope the viewers understand the effort behind the scene and appreciate our imagination in the form of TRPs.
The municipal workers , have a different take on this. They say ever since Kamala has started taking an interest in cockroaches, the insect population in Madh island, where she is, has drastically reduced. So , in a way, she is proving a bigger hit than HIT roach gel. Last heard the HITcompany were planning to utilise her services for mosquitoes also...way to go Kamala...looks like finally something pojitive has emerged from your lectures and you are getting your due in the insect world...understandable, because you have always been a hit with spineless creatures...vitthal and Pakhya , to mention a few
