PART 12- College was boring, thought Kalpi. She was trying hard to ignore Prem and was miserably failing at it. That day during recess as she was walking through the corridor, she felt herself being pulled into a room. She screamed when a strong hand covered her mouth,"Shhh Kalpi... Its me, Prem.." Kalpi's eyes widened and she felt a blush creep on to her cheeks. He removed his hands from her face. Kalpi looked away from him. Prem asked,"Why don't you talk to me anymore ?" Kalpi did not answer. He asked again,this time holding her shouldersand shaking her,"Tell me Kalpi !! Why arn't you talking with me ?" Kalpi blurted out," Becoz I feel embarassed about the kiss I gave you and thought u would hate me." Prem looked at her shocked.. He stared at her with wide shocked eyes before his eyes turned soft. He said,"Awww Kalpi !!! I would never hate you.. Never ever.. What made you think that ?" Kalpi said,"Well.. That kiss was a sudden one. And I felt really embarassed. I mean, we are not lovers." All of a sudden, Prem blurted out," I love you Kalpi.." Kalpi looked at him with wide eyes and said,"Come again !! What ???" Prem repeated," I love you Kalpi.. Do you love me ??" Kalpi looked at him with wide eyes. She was shocked.. She did like Prem and never did she expect that he would propose her. Prem probably realizing his mistake at his sudden outburst apologized,"Am sorry Kalpi.. I shouldn't have done that.." Kalpi put her finger to his lips silencing him,"I love you to, Prem."
Prem stared shocked at her before his face split into a wide grin. Seeing him grin, Kalpi also started grinning. They both burst out laughing. After a while, Prem said,"Since you've given me something, its likely that I return that favour." He winked at her and Kalpi blushed. He moved closer to her while Kalpi closed her eyes. Prem looked at her closed eyes, smirked and kissed her cheek." Kalpi opened her eyes to see him standing near the mirror. She frowned. He called out,"Go to class before someone shouts KALPI IS MISSING and then finds you here with me 😛 As you know, am irresistable 😎" Kalpi let out her tongue and said,"You think too much about urself" and went to class.. She didn't tell about this to Sona and Rushi because she knew for sure that Sona would start screaming like a kid and then the entire college would know. She kept it a secret. The Annual Day was coming up and everyone were busy with their rehearsals. This time, Prem would be performing for the Annual Day and he would have to choose a partne from the students. All the girls were really excited at the prospect of dancing with Prem..
Kalpi rolled her eyes at their squealy stupidity. Ofcourse auditions would be held. All the girls were practising very hard. Kalpi also practised hard. Eventhough she was a pro, she didn't want the pride to get into her head such that it would make her perform wrong. She too practised very hard for the dance.. And the love between her and Prem kept growing. Everyday, they would have a chat session about some random things and a walk that included ice-cream and then dance romance. Kalpi felt happy around him. Prem was one in a million. He was handsome, sweet, gentle, kind, romantic and a tad too possesive... She atlast felt that she did find the right one for her. She returned home late under the excuse of dance practise which was more or less true becoz she reeally was practising for the Annual Day. The day came when the suditions were held. Each and every girl put in her best. Kalpi did too. The principal was to select the student that would dance along with Prem. The results were announced and it was Kalpi that would dance with Prem. She was on Cloud Nine. She looked at Prem who had a foolish grin on his face. She smiled back at him. That day she rushed home and started dancing with her mom, brother and father. She gave them the news and they smiled at her. She rushed to her room before her parents could day anything.. Watching Kalpi go to her soom, Kamla asked,"How and when are we going to tell her the news, Vitthal ?" Vitthal said,"Calm down Kammo !!! We will tell her. But as of now, let her concentrate on this Annual Day thing of hers." Both of them smiled at each other..
