As promised, new update, I hope that I continue to match your expectations...

Part 7

In the cupboard that she was searching for a cloth of some sort that she could use with water to bring his temperature down, there staring back at her was a picture, which almost knocked her off her feet. She wondered what this picture is doing there, what relationship he has with that person, then she heard him moan, and she grabbed a small hand towel and ran to him, by now Sammy was back with the water. She did what she could do until the doctor came, still remembering the picture she saw. She wanted to so much to ask him, but he was in no position to be bothered now.

The doctor arrived, and assessed him, and informed them that he was going to be fine, but will need an injection, which he was declining even in a semiconscious state. Kalpana held his hand and advised him that it was needed and that he should allow the doctor to administer the injection.

Raghav was now starting to be a little more alert, as the tepid sponging Kalpi was doing helped to bring down the temperature. He knew that Kalpi was there for real, and there was no way he was getting away with not taking the injection, as he knew that he was stubborn but Kalpi was just as stubborn maybe even a little more. He had no choice but to give in, holding on to her hand for dear life; the doctor administered the injection with ease. Raghav looked at the doctor and asked him what is taking so long, as he agreed to take the injection, the doctor was now amused and realised that Kalpi's presence had that effect on him, so the doctor softly said "Mr Singhania the injection has been given" Raghav was now embarrassed realising what just happened, both Kalpi and Sammy chuckled.

The doctor prescribed some tablets that he will need to take after he has had a meal, and he should be better in a few hours. So Kalpi thanked the doctor and assured that they will do as he advised them. Kalpi asked Sammy to direct her to the kitchen, but Raghav was not ready to let go of her hand, she told him that she will come back shortly, she is not leaving him. Raghav had no choice but to let go of her hand, and asked her not to be too long, she smiled and left the room.

She wanted to prepare something for him to eat so he could take the tablets. With the help of the cook, she found the ingredients she looked for, and made a scrumptious soup that will help him feel better. In the time she was preparing the soup, the picture she saw kept haunting her.

She decided that she will ask before she leaves, because she will not be able to rest otherwise. After she fed him the soup and gave him the tablets, she asked him to rest a bit. She applied balm to his forehead and asked him to close his eyes, which he complied, knowing very well what the repercussions of not listening to Kalpi would be.

He was soon sound asleep, and she just sat there staring at him sleep peacefully with a small smile that adorns his lips.
