Part 26

Raghav frowned when his phone rang.He sighed as
he picked it up "Hello"
"Sir" said an urgent voice "Sir,Panther has
escaped"
Raghav widened his eyes "What do you mean?"
"He escaped by stabbing the men who were holding
him"
Raghav gritted his teeth "You guys can't do
anything right" he cut the call and looked at
Kalpana who was happily playing with Sneha "Kalpi"
he called out.Kalpana looked at him "Kalpi,I have
to go out for some work.I'll be back soon"
Kalpana frowned but nodded.She went back to
happily playing with Sneha and Raghav left.

About an hour later,Raghav came back "Hey Kalpana"
he said smiling.
"Hey Raghav" she replied "So where had you gone?"
"Oh...just the police station to make sure
everything was in order" he replied after a while.
Kalpana put Sneha beside her on the bed and
covered her with a small blanket "She's so
beautiful,isn't she?"
Raghav smirked "Sure she is" Raghav leaned towards
Kalpana and pushed her against the bed "Why don't
you relax?" he said.Kalpana frowned.Raghav held her
wrist and stared at it "You have a very delicate
wrist Kalpana"
"What do you mean Raghav" she asked,confused.
He smirked "It's so delicate" he said tightening his
hold on her wrist "It looks as if it'll snap any
second"
"Raghav" Kalpana gasped "It's h-hurting" She
grabbed his hand over her wrist "Please let go"
Raghav immediately let go.Kalpana held her wrist and
caressed it,trying to get rid of the marks.Raghav
smiled "Oops" he gently held her wrist and placed
it on the bed.He looked at her and frowned
"What's that on your neck?"
"My neck?" Kalpana put her hand on her neck,trying
to feel something.
"Yes Kalpana" Raghav swatted her hand away.
He wrapped his hand around her neck and
tightened his grip.Kalpana gasped and widened her
eyes.She held his hand that was tightly holding her
neck "R-Raghav w-what are you d-d-doing..I-I
can't b-breath"
"That's the point" he said tightening his hold.
Kalpana looked into his eyes and knew it couldn't be
Raghav "P-Panther?"
Before he could say anything,the door burst open
"GET AWAY FROM HER!" yelled Raghav.That woke
Sneha up and she began crying.
Panther let go of Kalpana and stepped away
"Annoying brat" he mumbled as he glared at
Sneha.He looked at Kalpana "See you later" and he
jumped out the window.
Raghav looked outside the window and noticed
Panther had landed on his two feet and ran
away.He looked at Kalpana and immediately sat
beside her on the bed "Kalpi,are y-you okay" He
noticed the finger prints on her wrist and
neck.Raghav stood up and walked out the
door.Kalpana sat up and took Sneha in her
embrace,hushing her.Raghav came back with some
lotion.He took Kalpana's wrist and applied it there
and gently on her neck "Are you okay Kalpi?"
Kalpana nodded and looked out the window "H-He e-
escaped"
Raghav closed his eyes and nodded "He stabbed two
of our officers"
Kalpana gasped.She was totally in shock after what
had just occurred a few minutes ago.She looked at
Raghav again "W-What if he t-tries to take S-
Sneha away again" she said,tears blurring her
vision.She glanced at Sneha who had fell back
asleep.SHe burst into tears and fiercely hugged
Raghav "I-I don't w-w-want to l-lose her ag-
again...what i-if he tried to kidnap her a-again o-
or worse h-hurt her" she panicked.
"Sshh Kalpi...I promise I won't let anything
happen to her...or you" Raghav promised as he
hugged her back just as tightly.
*****************************************************
"Sir,why did you even try to kill Mrs.Singhania?"
asked a man in his middle twenties.
Panther glared at him but decided to let it go
"Simple...because she is my key to money"
"How?"
Panther chuckled "Now that is something I'll
explain later"
*****************************************************
"What are we going to do Raghav?" Kalpana asked
scared.
"Don't worry Kalpi...I'll hire some guards,okay"
Kalpana sighed "When are we going to officially get
rid of him?"
"Very soon Kalpi,very soon" he hoped.Suddenly
realizing something he turned to Kalpana "Wait
Kalpi...why did he try to kill you?"
"I-I don't know Raghav"
Raghav looked away.Something was up and he knew
Panther hadn't attacked Kalpana for no
reason.There must have been a reason.He wondered
what though 'Why would Panther want to kill
Kalpi?'
