Part 8:
Then suddenly they hear voices coming from afar. "Sir.." Kalpi said excitedly. Raghav grinned. "Come" he said grabbing her hand and together they started running towards the voices.
They look through the trees and saw Sammy running towards them with the police right behind him. "Raghav! Kalpi!" Sammy exclaimed a smile spreading through his face.
"Sammy!" Raghav said. There were tears in his eyes. He had almost thought that he would never see his best friend again. They both gave each other a hug. "I'm so glad you're so safe" Sammy said. "Tum theek ho na?" Raghav asked him. Sammy nodded. "Aur sir Paakhi?" Kalpi asked. "Haan voh bhi theek hai usse aaj hi hospital se discharge milli hai" Sammy said. "What? Usse kutch hua toh.." "Oh no, Kalpi don't worry she is fine" Sammy said quickly.
Soon afterwards, everyone left to get back home safely. When Kalpi got home, Kamla rushed up to her. "Kalpi, tu theek hai, behta?" she asked her daughter. "Ji, ai, mein theek hoon" Kalpi responded. "Raghav aur Sammy Baba aap log andar aiye" Kamla said. Sam and Raghav had come to drop Kalpi safely home. Raghav was about to refuse but Sammy said, "Sure, aunty." Suddenly, a voice came from inside the living room. "Kamla Ma mujhe boht pain ho ra hai" Paakhi yelled. Kamla quickly turned on the spot leaving the trio alone.
Kalpi was very hurt. She had just gotten home whereas Paakhi had been with her all day long. Kalpi masked her emotions and told the guys to go on in and she'd just go and freshen up. Raghav saw how she was trying to hide her emotions. He nodded and followed Sammy into the living room.
When she walked into the living room, Kalpi saw Kamla serving every one Kanda Poha. She smiled when she saw Kamla trying to convince Raghav to eat some more. "Arre Kalpi, tu aa gayi?" Paakhi asked cheerfully. "Aao mere saath beitho." Kalpi smiled and sat down next to Paakhi. "Ye le behta" Kamla said offering Kalpi some. She sat down next to Kalpi to feed her some when Paakhi said, "Arre Kamla Ma aap mere ko apne haatho se khilaao na." Kamla looked at Paakhi caringly and put down the food back on the plan. Then she went to sit by Paakhi's side serving her some food. Kalpi looked at her plate. Kamla hadn't even bothered to feed her some.
Everyone was busy talking, but Raghav could clearly see how hurt Kalpi was. He wished he could do something about it. But then he decided he didn't care for Kalpi and why should he care?
After Sammy and Raghav left Kamla put the two girls to sleep. She asked Kalpi if Paakhi could sleep on her bed for the night. Kalpi nodded and quickly went to work making a makeshift bed on the floor. She went to sleep but not before seeing Kamla sitting by Paakhi and telling her a story. (Just like in her childhood)
In the morning, Kalpi quickly got dressed up and declared that she was going to work. Kamla told her that she should take a day off but Kalpi said she didn't want to. Kamla had to agree. Paakhi who still wasn't feeling well, said she would stay with Kamla Ma for the day and come to work tomorrow.
Singhania Mansion:
"Did you find out who messed with our breaks?" Raghav asked Sammy. "Haan" Sammy said. "Ek ladka milla hai lekeen police ke laakh poochne par bhi voh apne boss ka naam nahi bataa ra hai" Sammy said. "Ek baar voh mil jaaye na toh usska mein aisa haal karunga ki zindagi bhar yaad rakhega!" Raghav said pacing back and forth.
"The police are trying their best" Sammy told him.
Once Kalpi got to the office, she noticed that Raghav and Sammy Sir hadn't arrived yet. She wondered why but went to work almost immediately. Then suddenly there was a knock on her door. "Come in" Kalpi drawled. Roy (her assistant) walked in. "Hello, Kalpana Mam" he said. "Yes?" Kalpi asked without looking up. "Mam voh aap aaj mere saath lunch karna chaahengi?" Roy asked. Kalpi said, "Ok theek hai, ab jaao mujhe boht kaam hai." Pleased with himself, Roy went out. On the way he passed Rohit (Paakhi's assistant). "Meine toh Kalpana Mam ko apne taraf kheechne kaa plan soch liya hai" he told Rohit. "Ab tum uss ameer ladki Paakhi ka kutch karna." "Don't worry, I've got everything under control" Rohit said evilly. Both the boys knew that Kalpana and Paakhi were supervisors and earned a decent wage. They also thought that they were beautiful girls. If they got married to them their life would be set.
When Raghav entered the office, he immediately walked by Kalpana's cabin. He wanted to see if she was okay. He brightened up when she saw her working peacefully. This was a reason he admired her. Mostly people got stressed from too much work but somehow Kalpi found peace in her work.
Kalpana looked up when she felt someone's eyes on her. She looked up to see Raghav outside her cabin. She wondered why he was standing there. She got up and went to the door. "Mr. Arrog- I mean, Sir, aap?" she asked. "Oh toh ab mujhe Ms. Know-It-All ko explanation dena padega?" Raghav asked sternly. "I was just checking to see you were doing your job." "Of course, sir" Kalpi said. She walked back into her cabin. On the way she bumped her arm with Raghav's pushing him to the side. "Watch it!" Raghav snarled.
Kapoor Mansion:
"Mom agar uss aadmi ne apni bol khol di toh?" Prem asked Neetu. The man he had hired to fail the brakes of Raghav's car had been caught by the police. "Kutch toh karna padega" Neetu said. "We can't mess with the police, mam" Prem said. "Voh kutch nahi bataiye ga police ko" Neetu reassured her son. Though, she wasn't so sure herself.
Sahil came through the giant doors yelling, "Neetu, good news!!" "Kya?" Neetu asked. "Humne voh building khareed li jo Raghav Singhania buy karna chaata tha" Sahil replied. Neetu and Prem smiled excitedly. "Wow, that's great!" Neetu said hugging her son and husband. All three of them celebrated their victory by going out for lunch.
Raghav's Cabin:
"Yeh kya sun ra hoon mein Sammy, uss Prem ne voh building khareed li?" Raghav asked incredulously. "Patta nahi keise.." Sammy started. "I want that building now!" Raghav yelled. Sammy looked down when Raghav said calmly this time. "I'm sorry, for yelling at you Sammy." "It's okay Raghav" Sammy said sitting down, "Lekeen humme uss Prem ko dikhaana hoga." "You're right" Raghav said.
Lunch Time:
Kalpi was sitting in her cabin when Roy came in. He sat across from her on the table. "Challo lunch karein" he said. "Haan toh aao canteen challe.." Kalpi started. "Nahi aaj hum dono aapke cabin mein hi lunch karte hai" Roy said. "Okay" Kalpana said sitting back down and opening up her lunch box.
Raghav was just passing Kalpi's cabin when he saw Roy and Kalpi eating lunch together. He didn't know why but he felt a bit uneasy.
He quickly went into his cabin and picked up the phone to call Roy. Once Roy picked up he gave him some work to do.
Roy had to go so he bid Kalpi bye. As Kalpi, watched Roy leave she had a feeling that Raghav had seen her and Roy eating together.
"Prem Kapoor" Sammy said. Raghav looked up. "Yes, Prem Kapoor ne hi humaari brakes fail karvai" Sammy said. Raghav had thought so. "Ab dekhna tum, Sammy mein usski building ko itni badnaam kardunga ki koi bhi usske building mein apna ghar nahi basaiye ga" Raghav said. He picked up Prem's picture from inside his desk drawer. He put a huge red x through it with his red sharpie.
