@Pein: I should confess that I haven't read or watched Naruto though I know its probably the most popular manga out there.
I had read Death note partly and heard about the rest you mentioned as they are all really popular. Do plan to read them all!
Dark love stories? I like those when they are not predictable or written differently. Some of those are really intense. Tragic stories are not something I read often though. Some are beautifully tragic,.I admit.

It is pretty popular with Snk, One Piece, Hunter x Hunter and Bleach. You should give Naruto a read, I assure you, it will change you, the characters are so in depth. The story and philosophy are absolutely amazing.
