A Twisted Tale Part 15
In pantry F4 were just looking at each other but nobody spoke anything.
Sammy: Raghav so the deal is final?
Raghav was lost in his thoughts.
Raghav: huh??
Sammy: is the deal final?
Raghav: mostly.. We have presented a very good plan, he won't say no to it, not at least if money matters to him. We would sign it tomorrow.
Sammy: al right then, I'm not feeling well I should go home.
Pakhi: (with concern) what happened?
Sammy: (turns away his face) why are you a doctor?
Pakhi was hurt with his behaviour. To handle the situation Kalpi changed the topic.
Kalpi: we all need rest so should go home.
Sammy: (to Kalpi) I'll drop you home.
Kalpi: no, you go home. It's not late... I'll take taxi.
Sammy: (ordering) No you are not going alo... (Pakhi cuts him off)
Pakhi: I'll drop her, you take care of yourself.
Sammy left without saying good bye. Just then her phone buzzed. Dadi was calling her she excused herself leaving Raghav & Kalpi alone.
Raghav's POV: this is the right time. Talk to her and tell her what happened in there. But what if he has already made up her mind? Would he believe me? What should I say, I have to tell her the truth. It's her decision to believe me or not but I have to give her an explanation.
Kalpi's voice brought him out from a lost state.
Kalpi: I need to say som...
Raghav: I'll go first. I need to explain myself. Priya is...
Kalpi: No, you don't have to... not to me at least. In fact I should say sorry. I should have knocked before entering.
Raghav: (sighing angrily) how many times I have to tell you that you talk too much. Now listen to me, Priya barged into my cabin and I was trying to push her away when you entered. Please don't take it wrong, she was actually forcing herself upon me.
Kalpi: Haaa! Someone was forcing Raghav Singhania and he could not say no, it's hard to believe.
Raghav: would you mind listening to me?
Kalpi: (in a light tone) yes I would, plus you shouldn't be giving me any explanation, I'm no one.
Saying this she left the Pantry. There was no anger in her replies but Raghav was still left restless.
Pakhi & Kalpi reached chawl.
Pakhi: thank you Kalpi, aaj tune mujhe bacha liya.
Kalpi: it's ok, u did really well,,, aur maine teri help ki kyunki tune bahut mehnat ki hi jo ek accident ki wajah se barbad ho jati.
Pakhi: nahi, credit tujhe hi milna chahiye, I'll tell Raghav everything.
Kalpi: No, you won' tell him anything about it.
Pakhi: but Kalpi..
Kalpi: (glaring at her) you promised me, remember!
Pakhi: fine, but Kamla Maa ko to batane se mt rokna.
Both stepped inside her house. Pakhi hugged Kamla in excitement.
Pakhi: you know Kamla Maa aaj ka mera presentation bahut achha gaya.
Kamla: mujhe pata hai tu hamesha sabkuch achha hi karegi.
Pakhi: but Kamla maa, agar Kalpi ne meri help nahi ki hoti to aaj to meri job chali hi jati, saara credit kalpi ko hi milna chahiye.
Kalpi: bas kr Pakhi badha chadha kr mt bol. Aai bs maine iski thodi si help kr di.
Kamla: bs tum dono aise hi achha kaam krte raho, main usime khush hoon. Main tumhare liye khana lagati hoon.
Pakhi: Kamla maa abhi mujhe ghar jana hai, kal aati hoon bye, bye Kalpi.
She hugged Kamla and this time she hugged Kalpi too while saying good bye and left.
Kalpi had food and then went to bed.
Kalpi's POV: I was right that Priya is a bitch, how can Raghav fall for such a creep. I know Raghav chahe kitne bhi akdoo ho but he can never do something like that. He was giving me explanation but I didn't give him the chance because I know he couldn't be wrong. How the hell Priya tried to seduce Raghav. She is really up to something but what, that I must find out soon.
Meanwhile, at Singhania Mansion
Raghav & Sammy were sitting together. Both were thinking about the events of the day. Sammy was thinking about the change in Pakhi's behaviour and Raghav was stressed about Kalpi not giving him a chance to explain.
Sammy: what happened Raghav... thinking about Priya.
Raghav: Priya??? No something else.
Sammy: kuch to hua hai yaar, batayege kya hua hai?
Raghav: If someone doesn't give you a chance to explain then what does it mean?
Sammy: Ohhh you are thinking about Kalpi
Raghav: (curiously) how do you know?
Sammy: (sarcastically) I have something that you don't have,,,,,, common sense...! I mean who other than miss Kalpna Jadhav has guts to stop you from explaining anything.
Raghav: yeaah yeahhh... now answer my question (rudely)
Sammy: your way is not helping... can you be a little polite (pulling his leg)
Raghav gave him don't mess with me kinda look.
Raghav: You better answer my question Sammy... with all due respect (stressing on every word but very rudely)!!!! Will it do????
Sammy: (scowling) guess yeah! If Kalpi didn't give you a chance to explain that means she has already made up her mind about the situation. She might have planned to poison you or kill you with bare hands... or may b...
Raghav: (giving a tough look) thank you, but you are not helping! Now, if she ever tries any such thing, I won't bother her asking who planted those ideas in her mind.
Sammy: Come on yaar, how can you even underestimate me like that. I would give her some better & classy ideas for that (chuckled)
Raghav: (sighing) I'm sure you'll fail before her ideas.
Sammy: (could not stop laughing) I can't believe this... you are actually scared of her. (still laughing)You are... sca...red... of such a sweet, inno..cent g...irl
Raghav: (he shot up his eyebrow in a mock anger) sweet!!! Had you seen her threatening anyone,,, or trying to jump out of a running car,,,, or pushing someone in anger, you would have not used this term.
Sammy: wohhooo, you know all this about her,,,,,, surprised.
Raghav: why??? It's not your patent to know everything about her (sarcastically in jealous tone)
Sammy: arrgh stop now, coming back to point, as much as I know her, she is very intelligent, mature and temperamental. She knows you well, maybe that's the reason she didn't let you explain anything.
Raghav: (smiles) Do you know, this was the only good line you spoke in last few minutes..
Sammy: Is something serious happened,,, did you guys fight or something??
Raghav: No yaar
Sammy: (in stern voice) tell me what happened?
Raghav: Priya
Sammy: what?? Did she do anything?
Raghav: will talk about it in morning Sammy.
Sammy: fine! go sleep now, good night.
Raghav: good night.
They both went to their room.
It was a cloudy sky. Raghav decided to talk to Kalpi at any cost, all he need to know was what she think about him. He went straight into Kalpi's cubicle but was left more mesmerised than surprised by the most beautiful sight he had ever seen. He forgot what he was here for. Kalpi was standing beside the window, holding a business magazine in her hand. She turned around only to see Raghav giving her quite a stare. Unlike other days she was wearing a beautiful red & golden saree. With her heir tied in a lose bun, she was looking no less than Venus. Raghav walked towards her without taking his eyes off her. They were now standing face to face. His sparkling eyes were making Kalpi conscious, she was looking anywhere but Raghav. She was unconsciously fidgeting with bracelet around her arm. But Raghav was still getting closer. Suddenly with a quick move he grabbed her hand. Kalpi's heart skipped a beat. She wanted to pull her hand back but she didn't. She liked the warm touch of his hand. Raghav lifted her face by another hand. He was now looking deep into her beautiful eyes, wanted to sink in the ocean of her eyes. Kalpi saw nothing but passion in there.
Raghav: (in hush voice) you look more beautiful when you don't fidget.
His hand now reached the back of her waist, and then pulled her towards him. Kalpi was sighing, she wanted to say somthing but coudn't... Raghav was just trying to be in control.
Raghav: (still whispering) and you look even the best with your hairs down.
He freed her hair from the bun, and let them fall down over her shoulders.
Kalpi: (gathering all her strength) Ra...gha...v!
The came out from her mouth in a very low voice and like chopped veggies (broken words), that for a moment she thought Raghav didn't heard it.
Raghav: (murmurring) Hmmm (locking his fingers with hers). I would stop, the moment you will ask me to.
Raghav felt she was having palpitations; he himself was no better but still wanted to be in control
Kalpi: (breathing heavily) why are you here?
Raghav: (gazing into her eyes ) have to tell you something...
Kalpi: voo..
Raghav: shhh... just listen (tightening his grip around her waist and hand)... there's nothing between me and Priya. I want to know do you believe in me Kalpi??
Kalpi: (in shaky voice without breaking eyelock) Raghav, I.. i...wanna tell you that... i wanna tell you that.. I'm... not falling for this.
Raghav gave her a confused look but before he could understand, he was pushed to the carpeted floor. He was rolling on the floor.
Raghav: oooch (rubbing her albow with eyes closed) damn you!!!
He opened her eyes only to see darkness around. He was lying on the floor of his bedroom.
Raghav: (to himself) what am I doing down here... god i was dreaming this girl never lose control even in dreams.
He realised what he was saying.
Raghav: (talking to himself) What??? I was dreaming, i was dreaming about... Kalpi, ohhh my I was dreaming about Kalpi like that... I have gone insane!!!!
It was 5 in the morning, he tried to sleep afterwards but couldn't.
Raghav's POV: I'm not getting any sleep now... probably I should go out for a walk.
Sammy's room/at the same time
Sammy's cell phone started ringing.
Sammy: (murmuring) who is calling me at this hour.
He didn't pick up the call. The bell rang again, this time he stretched his hand for cell phone and opened his eyes. He looked at the screen with eyes wide open. Flashed... Kalpi calling...
Sammy: Hello Kalpi... itni raat ko ca...
Kalpi interrupted him
Kalpi: (from the other side of line) meet me in the office right now (it was a command)!
Sammy: whattt... have u lost it... abhi...
Kalpi: Yes abhi...It's urgent
Sammy: ok,, see u in an hour
Kalpi: No,,,,,15 minutes... m already in office! (call got disconnected)
Sammy's POV: What's going on in her mind? It has to be something important, I should go right away... how the hell she reached office so early that too alone!!!
Sammy just washed off his face and took his jacket. while walking through the living room, he bumped into Raghav.
Sammy: hey Raghav, you look flustered, nightmere???
Raghav: (remembering the dream) something more intense (smiles)
Sammy raised his eyebrow but just then got a call from Kalpi again.
Sammy: Kalpi, m on my way (disconnected the call)
Raghav heard her name and was surprise why she was calling Sammy at this hour.
Raghav: going somewhere... like this (referring to his cloths)????
Sammy: Not now Raghav m in hurry!!!
Sammy left Raghav shocked.
Raghav's POV: what the hell is going on here... why did she call him, is she al right. It doesn't look like if he is going on a date then what's the matter... gosssh m going crazy..!!
