I have to say I have never seen a cancer track in a Indian serial before,and I think it is important to see a side of someone who has cancer makes you realize their pain and how strong they are as well as the family, I love the story line!!!
Yes, the way it has been portrayed, especially suffering from the family's POV has been depicted rather well.
As you say, the strength of the family - rather than backbiting, evil in-laws/outlaws😉- is the focus and that is what sets this show apart.
