There is no doubt that this obsession with "Jodi's" exists.

WHY ? That is truly beyond my comprehension.

Especially in this show where the original idea is to get justice for a heinous crime and people still need this romance shoved into it just for some titillating scenes.

And that too with a Rapist.

I objected to even Dev's entry because of this very reason because that has slowed down the main theme of this show and distracted the audience away from Durga and her mission.

I completely understand you frustration Atominis and applaud you for trying come to some sane reason for this nitwitted need.

This is despondent reality of present time. Mostly the tv shows these days have NO THEME and once if some particular show has it, the viewers at any cost want a force love track in midway. I have seen many shows go into ramshackles because of these unwanted love angle.

I am not against Romance but neither am I a romantic-freak. No human on universe can go bland towards this feeling but does that mean we should be ignorant towards reality? Like someone said,"every thing has a time or a place.", and in EHT, i find Durga has no time for love and neither there is much space in this show for lovey dovey scenes. I like DevGa but not at the cost of ignoring the theme. DevGa marriage, honeymoon, kids and whatsoever can happen, i dont mind but after the show delivers what it promised to the viewers initially i.e a straight tale of a girl avenging for the injustice done to her sister.

Indian television is going through a drastic change these days, along with EHT many shows are there which throws subjects to catch on but looking at callowness of people, it only makes me think one thing. these changes are of no use until people accept it??

If you remember atominis, there was a post on this forum itself stating,"we don't waste our 30 mins to learn about woman empowerment, we want love story.", and this is the harsh reality, not only on the forum is this situation, but its around everywhere. I know my friends who watch this show and are dying to see Devga together ASAP. We have had many arguements on this nd the end is that am left out with my opinion as they all think alike.

What you are calling obsession is not obssession actually but mentality. For most of them, television is just the way to entertainment and nothing else. So all I can say is no matter what happens these things aren't going to stop unless people start thinking the other way

Good post, I have already made a post long time ago in this forum telling that this show was doing fine and the trps especially improved in the last week of April where the mathur trap drama was at its climax. Today the shows and movie need not have romance for it to work.

Even in this show, the main crux is revenge but romance is added to spice up the plot and give audience something else other than just revenge.

Not all but yes some teenagers out here or for that matter any other forum are too much obsessed with the concept of romance.

Hey I'm a stalker of this forum.. And I couldn't agree with you more.

I don't know why IF has so much obsession with love stories. There are literally so many great stories that doesn't involve love. I don't want EHT to convert to a love stories, it would just be boring. REALLY BORING!

Durga marries Dev/Shaurya. Saas Bahu drama and then Durga will be "Adarsh Bahu" and will forgive Shaurya! Crap!

I want this show to be a total masala show. I don't want any love stories. If I want to see a love stories, then there are much better serials than EHT. I watch this show for revenge. Please I hope the script writeres don't screw things up

Mentality has been reinforced due to movies and shows and they can change! If dupatta flying, flower/chocolate exchange, locket, love letter type films are also not much in vogue now then why not change on TV?

The sentence about time and place for everything sums it up. One can not have rebellion everywhere nor romance everywhere.

And hoping for jodi with a rapist or his friends is despicable! Those boys deserve no one except handcuffs, gallows!

I recently read a review of EHT that trashed it for dragging with usual soap stuff and not being a thriller as it was promised. I kind of agreed with it. I mean Sakshi gets upset like a kameeni saas. Shaurya has weird, cheap fantasies. Dev and Durga's investigation scenes are rushed but nostalgia flashback is so long drawn.

Earlier episodes were action packed with lots happening. Now it is sluggish. Too many hints towards DevGa marriage and Durga's and Goenka's destiny tied together. I do not know what to make of it.

No problem if they marry later. But I suspect it may happen earlier...

Too much focus on which man will get Durga. Now an entry of a fake fianc too. Don't tell me Shaurya will try to kill him also and this show will be based on nothing else but his obsession to bed Durga. 😲

i agree, if i want to see a romance show, i will PICK a romance show out of the hundreds running on tv..why ruin a REVENGE show with romance which is neither here nor there...now we have dayal apparently advising durga to think of her life rather than revenge according to sum spoilers..THIS is exactly what is going to KILL the show..

on a side-note, i LOVE ur DP..😳

Because love stories are very relatable and fun to watch. If a love story is brought into the show it will be more realistic. And by bringing a love story the serial isn't going to turn into a love story, it will just be fun to watch that too.

Fun to watch- okay but how come it becomes more realistic ? Dupatta flying and eye locks, accidental touches and Devi mayya's weird way of connecting people, is this called realistic by any standard?

Look romance is not a bad thing but here the topic is different. Why such obsession ? It can just another thing that happens in our life. Why this thing has to larger than life is the question.

Exactly! Don't make it a love story, make it a revenge love story if you want where Durga marries Shaurya and then kills him! That would be great 😆

How are love stories more realistic? Dupatta flying, long drawn eyelocks, standing with outstretched arms in rain or falling over each other accidentally in a truck, in middle of the road at night?

A light dash of romance like Raju Hirani films is still realistic. But not long drawn filmy sequences about lockets, threads, cakes, pizzas.

I am surprised Durga has less flashbacks about parents who died but keeps remembering only Dev. I am even surprised how a driver's daughter was this close to boss's son and even had pizza in his bedroom with him. No decent family allows daughter to mingle with boys like this.
