It's end of suffering for Payal. She doesn't deserve to get more pain now.

Indian shows give undue preference to marriage. Marriage is not the ultimate aim of human life or is it only me who thinks this way? I would prefer to remain single then to marry an incompatible man.
You know, one of my cousin refused to marry a girl because she was an under graduate. Fair enough, he is a graduate and so he asks for a graduate wife but when he was refused by another girl who was a post- graduate, he didn't apply the same theory. He was kind of offended and disappointed.

There is this story where the hero or villain? beat his wife to a pulp with a belt and now he is reforming And so many are rejoicing. He even threw a nice birthday party to win over his wife who was tortured for years. It is like beating a child and giving it an icecream to mollify it. There are so many closeups of them together nowadays.

I know.😆

Even Nana Patekar in Agnisakshi was like that. Beat up and abused wife Manisha. But then held parties for her or dressed her up and did her make up with his own hands. Only to scold or beat her again.

Madmen like these are liked. What to say?

Police report is not enough. There is tremendous pressure to withdraw the report. The heroine or protagonist should have some very strong support systemIshe is shown as somewaht vascillating) to see that she wont withdraw the complaint.

Exactly what I fear.😕

She does not deserve more pain.

God forbid if she sacrifices then? I also fear Goenkas learning about her and trying to harm her. She is very vulnerable. 😲

Are ye kafi nahi hai... jis shor se zurm dikha rahe ho social cause ke liye, it should reach the destination as well. Agar fir bacche ke liye pati ko maaf kar do, family ke liye chod do use.. then there is no point glorifying such cases. Just make pale love stories, one ladka one ladki , marry them, let them have kids and keep the story going for ages, DOnt bring social problems if justice cannot be done

I kind of agree. I am a romance sucker, true, but everything has a time and a place. And it would be very irritating to see moony-eyes and dupatta catching in EHT . Extremely so!
I want Durga to stop being obsessed with taking Dev down. If she falls in love with him, that's fine. He's a good guy, and might just help her. But - but! I don't want her to forget her goals, ever. I don't mind her obsessed with the Goenkas, she needs to be. Dev can stay by the sidelines as a friend/lover/partner in crime whatever. But this story is about Durga's revenge on the people who ruined her sister's life, and I hope it will remain so. Sanjeeda did say in a recent segment that Durga may get emotional but it won't stop her plan. I would love to see that.

Regarding Shaurya- there are villains you love to hate- Like Sakshi Goenka and a few others. Then there are villains you just hate. That's Shaurya and seriously I sometimes wish him to be tortured so badly that he cries for death. And people here went about pairng him with Durga then with Payal. I mean, how??

Exactly bookwormALS.
This Shaurya prem is beyond me.🤢

And Dev can help on sidelines like Shatrughan Sinha in Khoon bhari maang (his character was much more clever though). No long drawn romantic scenes!

To be honest story needs to move and even past flashbacks need to move deeper into Nitya's family, instead of just Dev.

I am fine with romance as long as it doesnt obstruct the main story. Like Abray said I would prefer Dev to be a friend to Durga. That's it.Nothing more , nothing less. I do not want her to reveal anything to Dev or make him a partner in crime. If he requests some help she can help that's it.
For Dev anyways she is Durga a girl who has to cometo Kolkata from US. Who according to him doesnt know anything about Nitya, Payal or anything about rape case.

I want things to remain like that. She should not show any undue interest in holding information from him. What a stranger like Durga going to lose if she gives Nitya's diary or take Dev to Payal. I mean nothing much. In that way her emotions will be under control and she dont have to watch over her shoulder for Dev. She can now easily say to Dev she knew about his feelings for Nithya from Gautham and hence she is giving the diary😃. Her identity is a bonus for her.

Let her keep things the way they are. Payal her sister, Dev her friend that's it. Any romance, marriage etc etc.. can happen post justice is delivered to Payal.

But I dont know as atominis said I do see a possibility of Devga marriage and saas bahu thing. I mean making Dev elder than Shaurya, Dev sidelined and a back story for Arnab and the symbolism they gave all looks towards that only😕

Very valid points!

The bane of the entertainment industry is that they do not know how to just narrate the story as they started out. As it always happens, there are changes made and if that change seems to click, and even if that change takes the story right off the tracks, they will do it and forget why the narration started in the first place.

This is a revenge tale. While some romance may be part of the storytelling, I do not think it is imperative or a compulsion. But if this romance angle is going to take over, then it is better that it not be.

Why cannot Dev just be the guy who helps Durga out and like mature adults the two do not let any feelings ruin the task at hand?

As for the talks of redemption and pairing to any of those rapists!! 😡 Well, I just hope to see them rot and suffer please. No romance there ever!!
