Thank you SO much for inviting me Atominis!! I ADORE Simone Singh!!! Always have from the time I saw her onscreen as the innocent, guileless Muslim girl trying to save her marriage. She was so charming, so believable. Most actors can OTT in the innocence , chui mui bit but she never did. She made it so relatable that it inspired hope.

As a 8 year old I could see how good & controlled an actor she was. She was THAT amazing!!!

Right since then she was one of the few celebrities I followed. I loved her face, her classy & impeccable dressing sense but the most I loved, was her honed & upper crust speech. It blew me away. And am blown away since then. ❤️

She doesn't strike me to be ambitious but something far more precious- She strikes .me to be a thorough perfectionist. The kind who is content sitting at home & sipping on a glass of red but when its time for work- ITS TIME!

Ambitious about Life.

Intelligent, charming, in control, beautiful in a breathtakingly modest manner. Her beauty doesn't overwhelm you- Her personality does. And how many women can say THAT?

Interestingly, I happened to meet Simone Singh in Chandigarh. At a hotel, she sat with her father wearing a simple pale pink top & jeans, her skin white, with the faintest stain of pale pink- She was LOVELY to look at. And SO warm, well informed & highly eloquent- I was a fan for Life.

The only reason why I tuned into EHT was for Simone Singh. Ive always considered her to be a very good actor, but she stunned me as Sakshi.Goenka. her character is the Mother Planet around which all other (small) planets revolve. She is one of the most fascinating characters see on Indian TV. EVER.

Simone breathes Sakshi Goenka & makes us almost sympathize with her. She is devastatingly powerful, viciously intelligent, drunk on a life giving elixir of Wealth, Beauty & Power.

I suspect EHT is much more Sakshi Goenka's story than Durga's who pales in comparing not only because Sanjeeda is a sorely lacking character in comparison to Simone Singh, but because once Simone comes on screen- She grinds EVERYONE into saw dust. I almost feel sorry for her co stars. 😆😆

Yet, there is a certain softness to her depiction. She is vulnerable & suspects that Shaurya will be her downfall. Shaurya is the only one for whom she has pure love. She strikes me to detest Love because she loathes being weak.

It has got a lot to do with her background. The days of poverty, chawl living , the obscurity when she wanted to SHINE because she DESERVED to!!!!

Her character, for all its poisonous flaws, is essentially a very well told story of woman fulfilling the destiny she carved for herself.

And THAT, my friends, is an actress called Simone Singh's Brilliance. 👏⭐️

MALLIKA!!!! 🤗

OMG! Are you my MID or I'm I yours? 😆 I swear it's like we have the same taste in all the same people.

BTW: I loved this, sums up how I feel about her. Can she please be nominated for everything and win everything. She's just so effin' brilliant with her expressions. One reason why I love her: Less is more.

I was once watching Actor's Studio with Anthony Hopkins and he even said that a sign of a true actor is that they hide emotions b/c that's what we as human beings do. We don't over-express...we keep from expressing. That's the difference I see in her acting and say some other OTT shows--she knows how emotions work.

@SayaneeH.Lecter
Welcome! 😊

Thank you for joining in.

You have watched Sea hawks? I was too young then. Only remember Milind Soman in uniform!😆

I think Simone and Anup Soni must be popular because I have seen their mention whenever popular 90s TV couples are discussed online. Anup Soni himself said in an interview that he had enjoyed working with Simone and Madhavan in Seahawks.

Yeah the videos are all nostalgia. Simone was like a true fairytale princess in Parde Mein Rehne Do. I remember watching this on TV back then.

I am happy to see you share your experience here and glad you enjoyed watching the videos and reading on her.

Emmy awards was surely an achievement. Actually it was compared to Aishwarya's stint at Cannes because these events happened around same years. Simone was first a presenter at Emmies and later a jury member. Old time TV portals still have coverage on this. I will post some of it on this thread in coming days.

@ibelieveinpink

Welcome to the AT!😊

Love your comments on Simone!

Yup! She is gorgeous. Old pics and videos reflect what a dazzler she was. And how well spoken from early days itself! ⭐️

I agree. Simone is an underutilised talent. She has that aura for big screen.

Thank you for joining dear!

OMG!! Milind Soman was just a hottie. I wish he had a bigger career too. I don't remember Sea Hawks much--before my time I guess. But I used to watch Heena religiously. 😆 Her and Gauri Pradhan used to be my favorites back then.

@ibelieveinpink

90s had hottest lookers. The models in ads, music videos and TV shows from those days are still unmatched. Milind was every girl's crush after Made in India video! 😆

Sea Hawks is from early 90s. 1995 or before. Hence many of us might not know about it much unless we watched re runs on UTV Bindaas.

I asked admin of a 90s page to upload its video. Let's see if we can get it.

Gauri was indeed wonderful. I first noticed her in DD show called Noorjahan where she played title role of the empress.

Heena was my grandmother's favourite. I hated all suffering in it. I didn't understand a thing! But dadima would never miss an episode. I think of her a lot when I watch EHT. She would have loved this show. Sadly she passed away last year.

@FeistyQueen

Yup. The range of roles proves her versatility. She has knack of being able to look vulnerable as well as mischievous.

Looks like Simone will sweep all the negative role awards this time. She's already won two, right?

@ani_gr
Yes she was so well turned out at ITA!

@tvdekha

Welcome to the AT!😊 Thank you for joining us! Hope you keep coming here too whether you watch EHT regularly or not.

@bookworm-ALS

She has one award by ITA and one poll or list by Zoom. Technically only 1 trophy yet. Though I hope she wins more as no one else is more deserving of this one except her.
