And ofcourse there is a tiny tiny TINY probability that in the end he also is revealed to have had a role in Payal's condition too. That would be a strong revelation, and the atory would end with Durga and Payal.

Hello I'm new to EHT forum and been reading all the interning posts. I have decided to finally make a post as noone seems to have discussed this yet.
From day 1 I have been curious to know the background/importance of Dr Thakur aka Durga's dad. Currently he's shown as a positive character all in support of Durga..though there's not much importance given to him besides a minor supporting role. Hypothetically if Payal is his daughter then one would expect to see more emotions in the father. Sometimes I wonder if he is actually Durga's real dad- considering there's talks of Durga being Payal's sister. Also in the flashbacks didn't they show payal's parents already? Not sure if I missed anything in the episodes so far..but I definitely would like a bit more importance to the dad's role - even though I understand the focus here is really on the key characters Durga & Shaurya. Mr & Mrs Goenka definitely do get a fair bit of screen space.Would love to hear your comments...:)

Interesting views... Roshni - I won't dismiss your view about Dr Thakur having played a part in payal's condition.
I guess anything is possible and it's too early in the show to know dr thakur's real motives. However at this stage my main observation has been that the possible sister (Durga) appears to be quite emotionally affected by payal's state compared to the possible father (dr Thakur) - is that normal generally speaking?Maybe I am looking too much into it.. I know us viewers should really focus on the hero(antagonist) & heroine but supporting characters are key to the story as well...
