While writing Shravan's plight in The Wanderer another poem made it's way to my mind. It's funny how I'm in such an intense mood today. Well now that I am, let's get this on paper shall we! Consider this a companion piece of The Wanderer. Anyone interested, here's the link:Like willing yourself to drown in God and go to paradise,
To have a haven under the waters or a garden in the skies?
What ecstasy it is to be pierced by the glance
The arrow from a lover's eye, the wound that makes you dance,
O Heart, what difference then, between joy and pain?
Opposites are identical and logic is in vain.

Desire and your longings will bring you to a fall
Why fear falling, my friend, isn't it after all
Her hopes and dreams to be married to the man she always loved, to be the bride and see the blush, all were crushed. She steeled herself for falling she thought was inevitable.
Like willing yourself to drown in God and go to paradise,
To have a haven under the waters or a garden in the skies?
Her falls though life may have been numerous, but she had her faith in her God. She still has her faith in him but her hopes of a happy life have drowned.
What ecstasy it is to be pierced by the glance
The arrow from a lover's eye, the wound that makes you dance,
Shravan's constant taunts, his vile thinking of her, pierces her very soul. The pain making her happy, only cause even if full of barbs, he at least casts a glance at her. That itself suffices her every need.
O Heart, what difference then, between joy and pain?
Opposites are identical and logic is in vain.
Her predicament is such, she knows not the difference between pain and joy. All her logic, all her reasoning has gone in vain, and now she remains at cross roads with her heart in pain.

I honestly don't know if this made any sense.
Do leave your thoughts.
Cheers!
