So this was Nirmala's son...Ramnath found it increasingly difficult to contain his fury.
Here he was just coming to terms with the fact that he might have made a colossal mistake, separating Suman from Shravan. He had enough brains to know how far reaching the consequences of this break up was going to be in Shravan's life. Only he knew...Only HE! Even Shravan wouldn't know what the future held for him...But he knew.

It was the weakness called love. His son was simply not equipped to deal with the loss of love. The only way he would deal with it was to get consumed in the aftermath...and Ramnath knew only too well, it wouldn't be hatred...it would be the pain that would devour him.

And now, it turns out Aditya is Nirmala's son. It looked like she had come back for some sort of revenge. What was she trying to prove, kidnapping Suman like this! That she had the power to ruin their happiness? While she and her son walked away with the prize money? If only there was some way to show the world that his son was better than her son...

Nirmala trembled with fear. This was not Shravan...This simply was not Shravan. He might argue otherwise, but Shravan would simply never be this...and if he acted on the belief he could feel better by ruining Adi's wedding and thus hurt her, who was he kidding? She knew her son well enough. He was only going to end up hurting himself. Because her Shravan had never been the scheming type...Nothing would change that,. She was dead sure of that.

Yet he seemed to believe he could pull it off. How naive was her son! He was not Ramnath- cold and calculating. He was and would always be her Shravan...Her little boy. He would only end up breaking himself trying to hurt others. She could understand him being angry with her. She had seen enough of his hatred. But she knew only too well, even that hatred wouldn't pull him through this. He was simply going to feel terrible later on...if he didn't hurt himself through the process already!

What a fool that man Ramnath was! He thought this was about her choosing Aditya over Shravan? That she din't want Shravan ruining Aditya's wedding because he hated his mother.
Had Adi not confessed his feelings and Shravan had been hers, Shravan himself would have been her first choice for Suman when Nanaji's request came. They were already such good friends.

But now..Would he ruin his best friend's wedding because he hated the groom and his mother.
Nirmala sighed. Aditya had said he would handle it, she hoped he would do it without hurting her Shravan. For there was no way she could hate her son even if he kept her at an arm's length...even if he plotted against her. Her son...Shravan...

PS: At the end of the last episode, i wondered if this is what it boils down to finally. Tera beta Vs mera beta.

Tera beta is to screw up things and Mera beta is the khaandani one who would set it right. Tiwariji would finally realise the difference between You and Me. 😉😆

The title Mera Vs Tera reminded me of a bit from a song in Mr.India...

You've played with those two words well.. Now Rammy must atleast feel that Niru is winning over him by snatcching Sumo from his son and trying to destroy his life...

Good one Chick. Yes it's a contest for Ramnath now. Nirmala knows Shravan is essentially not like Ramnath at all. He is so stupid as to think his son is like him! If he was, he would not be in the state that he is now. 99% of what is happening now is that pathetic man's doing.

If Nirmala had ANY idea of ShraMan's "other than friendship" equation, this would not be happening right now. Ramnath knows and that is exactly why this is happening!

I cant wait for Ramnath to be kicked in the gut. He deserves it for how selfish and petty he has been! Mostly towards a guy as sensitive and emotional as Shravan. He has NO idea what his son is really like. The intensity, passion and pureness of his love. He has NEVER loved anyone like that, and neither is he capable of doing so!

At the end of the day...the truth is...Shravan is Nirmala's beta...and Adi is someone she took care of when his father passed away! Shravan was very close to his mother during his formative years while Adi was nowhere in the picture. By the time Nirmala left Shravan, when he was 16-17 years old, she had instilled in him the values she wanted to...and those are still intact...just been masked by Ramnath's warped mindset that cages Shravan today.

Nirmala has wronged Shravan at many levels, but cannot be compared to Ramnath! Now that I think about it, she left Shravan when he was almost 18 years old, in other words, he was almost an adult. Regardless of what his father might have showed or told him, as a son, wouldn't he want to get some answers from his mother...and tried to contact her...even if his father told him to stay away from her?? Of course the same goes with Nirmala...being a "no show" mother for 10 years...reflects horribly on her character.

So tera beta mera beta my foot! Ramnath you are doomed...please prepare to pack your bags and flee as fast as you can!

Yes Chick...that was indeed a very telling conversation...I loved your post..
Tera beta v/s mera beta...but essentially...The beta I hope we are talking of is Shravan...here...Not Adi so I loved your wordplay. seen from my perspective. Although I loved the reference for both reasons

There are sides to pick on this topic. Has tera beta (Shravan, the one she nurtured until 18 years) done as well as mera Beta (Shravan, the one Nir left to Ram's care 10 years ago). Frankly I will be scared to choose a side...😊

So, when Ram asks about tera beta...the real underlying reference is to the one she nurtured until 18 years. So will that surface when the moment of truth surfaces?

or Will the Mera beta, whom Nir left to Ram's care and was brought up by Ram that will come to the fore?

The Tera beta and Mera beta merge into one another at one point. The boy who was nurtured until 18 years ago by Nirmala with her values was exposed to the Ram, whose values Nirmala apparently detests. So, Nirmala took the decision to entrust" Mera" beta to Ram whose transformation we see today in all its flaming hues...

So, while we may want to pick sides, it is important to remember that as parents, these both failed their child. We can argue on the extent depending on how this narrative plays out.
